Not a newbie but new in the altcoin space. I'm trying to find out some altcoin to invest a little amount. Suggest me some factors to consider before picking a coin. I am holding BTC and ETH as of now.

In a blockchain future, we will see a world where our medical records are immediately available if we are in an accident; where online voting was possible; and where transparency was paramount and greed is disincentivized.
I do not know the relevance of blockchain in ID. But I think it may help a lot in different things today since we need right now is transparency. Blockchain technology will give us an adequate information on which, what and how a certain thing happen. If there is a blockchain technology, we can easily grab the data we need and it assure us that voting or election will not be corrupted by candidates. Will just give a hope that using blockchain technology will help to have an effective voting system cause isn't tested yet. It is the use of blockchain to have certain limitations and we've never known how it works into the other areas aside from it is used into cryptocurrency. I know we are into developing its system and quite to see more improvements and integrations in the future. |

Bitcoin and Gold have been always been similar to each other in a lot of ways and the charts that are provided here shows that but, it does not mean that that bitcoin will have a similar price chart to gold in the future, bitcoin is not accepted by all the countries in the world so it is unpredictable and at any time and any regulation towards it could take its price down, and on the other hand it was able to skyrocket from 6k to 20k in a couple of months and that is something that gold didn't and will never be able to do, and i am sure that a similar or better thing will happen in the future.
And you say that it is a big coincidence? It somehow we are doubtful to see that Bitcoin chart is similar to the current trend of GOLD cause in the first place, they are different and there is no reason to make it the same. This is a common thing to happen that investors are also investing GOLD when Bitcoin started to climb that makes similar to look by. They are smart, they put their gains into Gold, this means that investors are not relying upon into crypto alone but also into the other investment. |

The amount of rumour peddled in this industry is alarming. Some hours a go I was rejoicing about Ripple acquisition of moneygram and its partnership with a Thailand bank but little did I know that it was all a farce
XRP is a centralized coin and we can expect that easy. Though they are back-up by some banks but we don't know if that will be in the integration into the other country's bank. I supposed to think that XRP won't go that high, $4? It is too far from what it has today, it only $0.42 at binance and it is a long gap fro $4. We should have to think that XRP it won't go that fast and given a chance by their team to make at high instead of keeping it below $1. |

The market that was completely red over the past few days have slowly turned green. Whenever there is growth with bitcoin automatically the growth gets followed by the rest of the cryptocurrencies. Now the same is being experienced over the market. Hopefully the market will flourish good over the days, along with price correction and fluctuation same as that happened days back making people think of it as a start of bear market.
It is just market adjustment, price fluctuations will come at any time and yet, we can expect ups and downs at any moment. The good thing to see is that we are moving back again into pumping as previous days we are turning down. As I observe, we are focusing on the price especially for bitcoin as known to be the real player in the market. We can only trace the transaction but to block it absolutely a hard job for anyone, not sure if someone could give a hard time doing it. Cause a lot of things happen like this but nobody give us report that they could block the transactions, this means that we can't do anything to bring back loss coins to our wallet or just even freeze it. This is one of the disadvantage in crypto, once lost, it will lost forever.

Has Dan Larimer given up on creating a Steemit on EOS. If he does, Steem is finished. Traffic is already decreasing in anticipation. I don't think this coin has a bright future, Steemit has been mismanaged and it's hard to fix what's broken.
Guess he will bring the few things he has learned from steemit over to the new one he is currently building on EOS. Seems one of the most important lesson he probably has learned is the issue of trolls and bots. Steemit has done pretty well. If it were possible, he should merge it with the new one on EOS blockchain. It is obvious that people give some interest into EOS today. It looks like this new system will have a satisfying services than of the others. We are in the market competition and steemit must have to be challenge to make some improvements and so it can be still in the race. If they just let this things happen to them, then we can't expect that steemit will meet their goals this year and so. |

Yes it is . its profitable to some that have the guts and knowledge to do it but its not profitable to some that are scared and confuse about day trading . even the normal trading is also hard for a common individual , how much more if its day trading and if the market is in bad shape ? Better if they will only do less riskier things such as investing , investing isnt also hard as trading because what you only need to do is to hodl and wait for the price to rise .
Trading isn't the thing you should have to experience as I see that you'll never have such interest in your mind. I don't think IEOs dropped in value, maybe rather the project which had its IEO is what dropped in value. The reason for this is, I don't think investors have ever complained about getting scammed since the advent of IEOs, although the exchange have a big role to play.
We should understand that a project having a successful IEO doesn't mean it will do well, which is why it is important we learn to be sure of any project before putting our funds irrespective of the hype surrounding it.
It would be a big question of individual who think that IEO it totally be a solution of scams events. We still can't say that the market will turn into good as IEO exist nowadays. It's still depending on the market stability and makes this new project will look profitable. In that case, investors will still giving their doubts until such time that is proven for good. |

Doge coin as I heard has been static for some time. Upon that, the project has remained strong though. If you wanna buy, go ahead but at your own risk cos nothing is guaranteed from where I stand. As for me, I will look for other coins with reasonable price movement to invest in. Come to think of it, Cryptopia exchange saw the last of my Dogecoin holding. Wish I saw the news early enough, would have withdrawn.
All have that risk even we invest with BTC and ETH, in a certain thing that nobody knows what next and only we think that it has a positive result after. Doge now is on the tragic loss and seems to be good to buy as the price have that tendency to go high once Bitcoin will rise back. He is really lucky person! He won 51 BTC and that is really a great price. Wow! amazing! I am now envying for the people who have win in gambling because I never experienced to win high amount of money. Well it is a great job for him. I think his life becomes new and greater. Like him, I wish also to win 20 BTC but I think it is 1% blurred for me.
If that person have that luck, it maybe we have that luck also and possible to win such amount if the future. Regular playing in gambling just like lottery will give a huge chances to get the jackpot price however, we should think that everything don't went that easily and it for sure we have to spend a lot of money before we've that prize. Makes me wonder why do you need help from the regulators. I know this makes it easy and you can be lazy and not do any research and choose a regulated site. If anything happens you will write a complaint. But what if the complaint does nothing? You will have a false sense of security that regulators can protect you but many times they can't or they won't.
It is a tough job for them neither. It is a big challenge for them to track every single transaction in an anonymous community. Regulating bodies will it looks worthless in this form of environment. Definitely, they can't do their best to solve the problem arises since before and its formulating bodies will turn into nothing. |
