Success is something that will really be that depending on how someone would really be that handling himself into his crypto investment. Actions would really be that varying
depending into your views and perceptions in regarding into your crypto investment. Doesnt matter if its on Bitcoin or other altcoins.

Fuck crypto.

yes it does matter if it is bitcoin or shticoins.. and so be careful if you are confusing them and convoluting the ideas in your own head, which largely likely means that you actually don't even know what bitcoin is or how it differs from shitcoins.
Yes, it is better to call Bitcoin for Bitcoin and altcoins for altcoins to be more specific rather than calling crypto as it addresses the entire crypto market. When people once hear crypto, they'll already think it is a scam investment especially for new investors not knowing that there is legit which is Bitcoin. It will not just confuse the readers but a piece of misleading information making them think that Bitcoin is just the same as altcoins (aka shitcoins) that have no value.
Talking to them separately (not crypto) the better for it this will clearly be understood and put in their mind.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 27, 2024, 01:28:51 PM
If you know yourself and your behavior then I am sure this is a Hobby without extending your time and capital.

This is a Hobby if you know when to stand or leave the table without any warning to consequences .

This is a hobby if you are choosing not to spend important funds for this.
It remains a hobby if enjoy gambling but if we are now chasing to win and to recover back our losses, that is another thing.
What determines if that is a hobby or not, depends on our approaches and thinking. Some people consider gambling a hobby first until they lose control of themselves and badly turn to addiction. The consequence is quite regretful that is why we don't have to let it happen.
Quote
but if not of all the mentioned? then this is not a hobby but a vices .
Perhaps, it is vices that ruin our lives, reputations, and finances.
We just be careful when gambling does not give us happiness as it something leads to undesirable outcomes.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You are responsible for your own safety. on: April 27, 2024, 08:28:09 AM
This issue is old already but the Google Apps Store doesn't do something to stop scams and fake apps. Therefore, it was hard to trust them but rather make our own way to determine if that is a scam or a legit apps. It is definitely our responsibility as we can hand it over to the people who don't care about the people who use their services.

Our money = our responsibility
That is why we also understand what apps we install as are aware of the situation and if there is another option, then avoid apps from Google as much as possible especially FREE applications because most of them are fake.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact of Bitcoin halving and my opinion on: April 27, 2024, 06:47:52 AM
Good side- it catches the attention of the community and makes the price skyrocket, and everyone seems happy with it.

Bad side - FOMO is quite visible and new investors sell their Bitcoin which makes the price drop. And it is quite disappointing after seeing the fees skyrocket as well together with the price.

I can't blame the people for thinking that the market is changing now. But yes, can do nothing but deal with the situation and be more prepared for the upcoming. However, I remain confident that this even gives us more positive results than negative ones and the new ATH.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can people still get the addictive nature through friendly games on: April 27, 2024, 03:52:16 AM
I won't say it leads to addiction, a big difference from gambling in the casino.
Addiction is not because we gamble, it really depends on our thinking and approaches. So many gamblers around the world and not all of them are addicted to it. It only happens when we spend more time doing this as this will influence our minds. We can avoid this from happening if we limit our time to gambling. Unfortunately, some gamblers can't control their emotions and some are expecting something huge which makes these gamblers get crazy chasing to win.
Quote
As long they do have that money on their pockets then they would really be definitely be playing it for that certain day. There would really be no doubts that they will continue it out.
This is the issue for those who are really gamblers that they dont like that making up some betting into something without money involved even if they were with their friends.

Moderation is very important in all things we do especially when gambling and must be aware of the outcome when it goes wrong.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Impact of Social Media in Gambling. on: April 26, 2024, 11:24:57 PM
A lot of social media influencers especially vloggers and YouTubers are promoting gambling usually at the end of their vlogs or videos.
I could see a huge contribution and spread of information that they made especially during this time where the majority are using smartphones already. In fact, we've been seeing a massive increase in gamblers and online gambling sites. But how this could affect the mindset of the kids when they are also seeing these ads/promotions from the social media influencers they followed? I could be wrong but this has a mental effect on them and at a very young age, they are exposed to gambling already which is supposedly not the right time.

I think these influencers must know their target audience before accepting the offer or should not be included in their vlogs or videos?
Well you can't actually blame the influencers themselves because with the rate at which everyone is exposed to social media,  regulations aren't really put in to actually stop the particular age that aren't supposed to see this and that's why many people get it all tangle up especially the young ones that are glued to their mobiles 24/7. Most of these social influencers aren't really gamblers themselves but they just do what they do just for the sake of paid advertising.
I agree. It's quite obvious that not all of these influencers are a real gambler or into gambling. They're just paid to advertise a casino because of their huge followers. The problem is, everyone can see it especially the minors that might idolizing them. It's not a good influence because these minors might believe what they see and try playing. Some of these influencers are also offering free money if you register using their link, so it's really tempting especially if you're just new in gambling and blinded by the potential profit.
It is money matters but they are supposed to see the outcomes of their works as they are representing something that can possibly make a kid, a young mind start gambling. A responsible influencer will not just be after the money but must carry responsibility for their doings. They can decline it if they are certain of their commitment not to ruin one's life and the future of their young followers. Unfortunately, they choose to be wrong and accept the money. The sad thing is that these influencers see nothing aside from earning money whether the impact is good or bad, doesn't matter to them.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone you introduced to BTC says the risks of her funds is on you on: April 26, 2024, 02:57:38 PM
First of all, you guys need to understand the basic principle of telling anyone about anything which is to see if they can comprehend everything you are about to say to them because one mistake could cost you a big trouble which happens especially when it involves some money. That's why I only choose the friends I have who can understand the way of the crypto market because I can't afford to be blamed in the future if something happens to their investment or lose their money in the midst of their holding some huge amount of bitcoins or any other altcoins. If a person blames you for telling him/her about crypto which leads to their investment, then you better avoid them and just be silent about it.
If not always, it is probably most of the time it happens - a teacher carries a huge responsibility of the listener. Whatever happens to them, they will come back to us and question us why it happened. If we introduce Bitcoin to other people, in case it fails, certainly they will find us back and say we are a bad guy and a scammer without understanding that it was their responsibility to take care of their investment, not the one who introduced it. That is why it is not just we introduce Bitcoin to them but also, we need to educate them first and must be clearly understood by them that it is not our obligation anymore.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 26, 2024, 01:42:49 PM
I think it's not about Lebron's age, he can still play dunk the ball and run. It's more on his team mates in recent years that didn't bring him close to becoming a champion again. When they won their championship, there were great role players in their team.

Right now they have, but they are inconsistent like Russell who come up big in the last game and then 0 points today. Or Reaves 9 points in game 2 but now exploded for 22 points. On the other hand, the Nuggets are consistent all 4 of their starters are putting NBA caliber numbers and the game is played in full 4 quarters. The Lakers are only good in the first 3 quarters and then choke in the 4th and then you can see James frustrations.

The age is also a big factor, if you still remember when Lebron was with the Cavaliers before he left for Miami, they were dominating and reach in the NBA finals multiple times I guess but they could not win and it's not even a close series. But now, it's not Lebron who is carrying the Lakers, it's actually Anthony Davis but their roster is not strong enough and Lebron numbers are not enough to beat the defending champion.

They tried it two times, I think it's enough, they need to move on to another team and try.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Jontay Porter receives lifetime ban from NBA for violating gambling rules" on: April 26, 2024, 01:18:22 PM
Fixing is a bitch man, and more so these people who are literally set for life ruining their shit and the integrity of the game all because they don't know how to control their gambling urges, or plain greed when they practically have everything in their hands.

The right definition of it, it's greed. It's a disgrace to the NBA and also to his brother Michael Porter Jr. who is an NBA champion and is set to receive a huge salary when he renew for the Denver Nuggets. they are a successful family but due to greed, he made some stupid mistakes that he cannot hide anymore and that resulted to the biggest punishment of his life although he wasn't jailed.
We all make mistakes because we are just human but this kind of mistake is too serious that it has destroyed his dream. Well, there's no one he could blame but himself since he was knowingly violating the rules and he knows the sanction for that. I don't have news about him now, but maybe he continue gambling and no more hindrance since he doesn't have a job anymore, he can just focus on sports betting.

Just imagine, you work for your passion, achieve your ambition to be in the  NBA and in just one mistake, everything was taken from you, I wonder how he is feeling now, I hope he can still recover.

For sure he can still recover, but life is not the same as before as he is not anymore making millions, unless he will become a successful gambler and proved to the world that he can make a living in gambling.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A trader lost over $1 Million + on Binance Future trading on: April 25, 2024, 09:55:03 PM
Every mistake in trading makes you suffer in the end. A clever and smart trader never puts a very huge amount into trading because that will create temptations. Greediness is a usual issue in trading, anyone can fall into such a situation especially if you think that you already control the market. Unfortunately, we only fail in the sense that we can't control it, and no matter what we do, we can't underestimate the volatility of the market. Yes, we can make a good profit now but can't ensure we can make it all day. That is why most traders don't spend too much on the computer or have 24/7 because stress can also affect our minds and can't think good anymore. Plus greediness, that something turns into a terrible loss like losing $1m especially if we are talking about Future trading.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 25, 2024, 01:23:33 PM
Lakers 0-2 vs Denver, Miami 1-1 vs Celtics.

What's happening here? I think Lebron has to get in touch with Coach Spo and ask him one more time to join the Miami Heat for him to get a ring. Who expected that win by Miami in game 2? No one.. That's how good coach Spo was, if Lebron stayed with Miami, there's a big chance that he'll get more rings but he thought he doesn't trust the coach anymore after giving him 2 championships.

I can say now that currently, it's coach Spo is the best coach in the NBA.

Coach Spo is the best man, I never expected such a thing to happen but I think since they have been rivals for years now against the Celtics in the Eastern Conference, Coach Spo already knew how to counter some of their movements and we witnessed how he executed a perfect plan to beat them. next game in the Miami Heat court will be filled with excited cheering fans for the Heat and they have the court advantage, with this hype, they could get another win in their next game and the Celtics will be in serious trouble because of all the teams in the East, Heat in the last one they want to be their opponent in a do or die situations.

Because of that win, the Miami heat fans are now more confident that despite not having Jimmy in the line up, the current roster will be able to beat the powerhouse Boston Celtics. I wonder what would be the changes of the Celtics if they still lose to the Heat, and I just hope they'll not trade players, instead they'll change a coach that are more experience in the post season than the regular season. They don't need to be at the top, they just need to be in the playoffs and advance in the Finals again, and only a coach like Spo could do that.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: April 25, 2024, 12:29:42 PM
And so here is the promotion for this fight,

"Here comes Inoue"

https://twitter.com/trboxing/status/1782422052869382242

And from the looks of it, nobody can stop Inoue at this point. And the chance of Nery as he is a huge 7:1 underdog. Inoue will be as sharp as ever in this fight, still in front of his Japanese crowd and probably Nery is one fighter in his hit list.

@bbc.reporter - I believed the American fans are willing to buy tickets in the lower weight class as long as it is exciting like what Inoue brings if he is going to fight in the US.

Nery is really the underdog of this fight knowing that he is the one who came into the place of Inoue and all conditions are in favor with his opponent. I'm not surprise if he got defeated on this match but I would be surprise or a lot of people will blowout on the result if Nery could be the first one to defeat Inoue on their match.

Hopefully we can see the Japanese monster go out on his comfort zone just like what boxing fans want since for sure that there's a lot of American boxing fan or a lot more people in the world would provably buy their their or his upcoming match tickets since the guy is famous and a hyped fighter to watch. If he can prove that he's still dominating even if he's fighting in the US then provably that a lot of people would agree that he's not only great in Japan but rather he can also good in US and can able to defeat those great boxers there.

Although the public think that Inoue is going to win easily but I think this is different from his past fights. If we look at the record of Nery, he has 35 wins and 27 of that are in KO/TKO.... He only have one loss, so I think he deserve some respect. Inoue might still look for an early KO, but I believe Nery will not be in the ring to survive but to win. I like his character because he is aggressive as well, and without enough experience, I think he is ready for this fight.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the halving already priced in? on: April 25, 2024, 06:54:22 AM
snipped...

In the short term? Yes. But in the long term, BTC should be able to reach a new ATH. The current dip could be attributed to rising tensions in the Middle East. Market prices will dip, but they're expected to "pump" in the long run as the world heads into uncertainty. I think the ETFs are just the tip of the iceberg. Who knows? The crypto market behaves in many strange and bizarre ways. So we should expect the unexpected.

If history repeats itself, Bitcoin could eventually surpass Gold in terms of market cap. Buying and holding BTC now is the best decision to make. With Fiat currencies losing ground, I'm certain things will get better for Bitcoin and the whole crypto industry. The question is: Are you ready for the huge pump? Cheesy
I really appreciate those people who positively think that Bitcoin has a better future. Not all do this and many people change their minds when drops happen. Ever since, halving and ETFs has had a huge impact on the market making every halving another achievement.

History repeats itself is what we expect and people are not crazy buying Bitcoin without such optimism. It may be hard for Bitcoin to reach $200k but we believe that there is ATH around the corner after halving.

I buy some before halving, I think that is enough for now. Those who are not buying yet may consider this before the new ATH happens.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the number of new investors reduce? on: April 24, 2024, 09:54:54 PM
The halving was a major event that attracted many new investors to bitcoins, some started investing seriously some months to the halving just so to make some profit from it.The halving was what attracted them, but now that the halving has come and gone, do you think that the number of new investors will reduce for the now until the next halving is close again?
They see people are investing not just for halving but for the results. We might say there is a slowdown in numbers but I know they are increasing despite the situation that decreasing. For old-timers will think it is not a good time for accumulation as the price is already high but I don't say this is the reason to stop new investors from coming. We have seen in the previous 3 halvings that ATH happens after which means that buying now will still give you a chance to earn a profit. It may not be a huge amount but at least, we never miss the opportunity.

Besides, not all investors are just looking at what they would get this season or this year, but they are looking forward to the benefits in the next few years.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Israil Madrimov vs Terrence Crawford on: April 24, 2024, 12:21:13 PM
Great move by Terrence Crawford, finally he decided to move up and challenge the champion.

As per the betting odds, Crawford is the heavy favorite.
https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/israil-madrimov-v-terence-crawford/winner

After this, if Crawford wins, I hope he can unify the belt with the other champions, maybe against Sebastian Fundora who owned 2 belts.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 24, 2024, 11:35:40 AM
My bet on Jokic should be an easy hit, Jokic with a double-double already and it's still just the first quarter of the game, 3 rebounds more with 36 minutes left to play for should definitely be an easy reach for Jokic here  Smiley

Seems Jokic is giving us easy win because he is unstoppable, the only way the Lakers could win if they have a good shooting which they showed in game 2 but just fall short in the end. Jokic ended with triple double record, (27, 20, 10), insane numbers, it should be a another history for him I guess. Anyway congratulations mate.

All the games last night had the hometeams won their respective games, so it's 2-0 for all of them.

Now, we will have 3 games

Suns vs Wolves -3
Pacers vs Bucks -1
Dallas vs Clippers +2.5

I think betting on the road team is interesting, what are your thoughts here?

I think the road teams could be worth a shot today but the odds just aren't enticing enough so it's better to ride with home teams ML here than the road teams with a too low handicap line if you ask me, Dallas Mavericks are the only road team that could be worth backing ML, but they too have a couple of inexperienced players that's factoring into their entire result, but Kyrie and Doncic seem rather enough to carry this team, especially if Kawhi Leonard remains out for Clippers.

Indiana Pacers are way too playoffs game inexperienced for their own, and they look really out of sync or form in game, even without Giannis they'll need to correct a whole lot of things to be able force a long and interesting series for the Bucks, and the first things will be taking care of the ball and knocking down shots when they have the opportunities.

Same with your thoughts, i wasn't able to update here but I bet on the road teams last night. I won on the Pacers and the Mavericks but loss to the Suns big time, not sure if this team could come back in this series, you know, 2-0 deficit is kinda hard but let's see. Of the games that I won, the Pacers was the easiest but I have fun watching how the Dallas won, I just like Kyrie, he is in beast mode and so unstoppable.

So tomorrow we have 2 games, I'll skip the Miami Heat vs Celtics, but I like the Pelicans to upset the OKC Thunder.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Your aging and retirement plan is your responsibility. on: April 23, 2024, 09:45:17 PM
Whatever you stated is all common sense basically op. The majority don't bother with retirement plans due to various reasons while the minority make effective retirement plans in advance in a smart manner.

HODLING BTC and other crypto could possibly be a great retirement plan if luck is on your side thanks to their extremely volatile nature.
They don't care as they don't care about their future as well. Some people start a business, put money into investment, etc because they think who will give them money when they grow old and are incapable of working. At least, they still have income aside from relying on their pension.
This should be put in our mind, even if we are poor, it is not an excuse to think about it as we are working not just for today and tomorrow but also in the following days. It should be backed up with plan and preparation as we never know what awaits us in the future at least we are ready.
18  Economy / Gambling / Re: BK8 - Biggest and Most Trusted Brand. Asia's #1 Crypto online casino BTC & USDT on: April 23, 2024, 03:20:08 PM
Isn't it a red flagged if you'll change your current account details when you decide to undergo a KYC? I thought email should be real and the information you supply in your account, that's you, and you just have to verify it by submitting a documents that are acceptable, usually government IDs and documents.

I wont speculate but I just can hope that there is an option to change my details later when it is needed (before KYC) but of course I will always prefer to be unverified as long as possible.
Email is real of course but as far as I remember I was allowed to create an account with random name (not my original name).
I believe BK8 is friendly enough for any case as long as players do not do something really bad against them.

Email can be verified but the name cannot, so a user could put a name in the casino (any name) but once verification is applied, it should coencide with the documents submitted.  honestly, I can't even remember the name I used in one of the casinos I'm using, it's a non KYC account but the email I used is my correct email. So I agree with @panjul07, casinos doesn't care what name you'll put as it's usually just liike a username, not a real name.

20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not let the over excitement after the bull-run pull you out to danger on: April 23, 2024, 12:00:49 PM
The era we are living in isn't like how things used to be in the past. You can't even trust your blood relatives these days because anyone can do anything for money. So it's not wise to think that the person you are discussing it with is close to you or is someone you trust because no one is trustworthy these days.
There are some people that we can trust but we don't have to give it fully. It is necessary to keep low despite the big achievements that we have in our lives. To remain humble really makes sense in such a way it helps us out from the interest of others. Seeing us useless gives them no reason to think something undesirable. That is why I see some (real) rich people haven't dressed so fancy or have a luxurious life. Now I realize that it is one way of keeping themselves secure.

When we have some friends gatherings, we never discuss how much we earn nor I started to talk about it but rather talk about the past.
