21  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: May 01, 2024, 02:21:54 PM
Dude, I'm just stating reality. Why should we rely on a casino to control our addiction? It's not their job; their job is to entertain us, and we pay to play. This is very simple; it doesn't require a lot of explanation for a mature mind to understand the risks of gambling.

When you sign up at a casino, you are asked if you are 18+ and probably some casinos explain the risks. Once you "agree" to all the terms, that means you understand the rules and the risks of gambling. So, if you lose, the casino wouldn't tell you to stop because they think that, since you are mature enough and you understand the risks, they presume that you are gambling responsibly. However, the words "gambling responsibility" is not measured based on the amount of money you risk and lose as every gambler have different financial status in life.

Let's wake up, we are in a dangerous world. Yes, a casino may have a self-exclusion feature, but it still depends on how we will use it because, as mentioned, one can easily create an account at another casino to continue their gambling addiction.

In short, if you have a gambling addiction, don't expect the casino to help you. It's only you or the people who truly care for you who could help.

I agree with @robelneo. I think all casino who run their signature campaign in the forum should not forget to have a review campaign. Because without review campaign, participants will be able to give their honest review based on their experience. With an experience campaign manager, your company will be able to run a successful review campaign.

But the signature campaign was stopped, do you have plan on relaunching it in the future?
23  Economy / Economics / Re: It's better to invest now than to regret it in a hospital bed. on: May 01, 2024, 10:41:39 AM
Investment is something that everyone needs, because by having investments a person can get good profits which they can use in their old age. Investing is a good thing, because we don't know what conditions will be in the future, especially for older people, where as they get older, their health will become increasingly compromised and this will limit their ability to make money. At least having an investment can make someone calmer, because when there is something urgent or other important thing, they can use the investment to cover it.
There is no doubt that investment is a life saver after all. However, it’s also an important factor to choose wisely your investments and don’t just grab on everything that comes your way. Learn to be more cautious and extra careful when it comes to risking your funds. Not all investments are good and profitable, some are just here to scam us and lose everything we have.

Most importantly, learn to invest while you are highly able and capable to earn and save. Don’t wait for perfect investments to come, as there’s no such that exist. Everything comes with risk and we all need to be responsible to manage them well and overcome all those risks. Lucky are those who started early, but know that no one comes late in all investments, as long as you take the risk and courage to invest while you can.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone you introduced to BTC says the risks of her funds is on you on: April 30, 2024, 10:23:17 PM
I would respond by saying that since the risk is on me the profit should also be on me.
If they doesn't want to take risk they shouldn't also expect to gain profit.
I don't get why they would even try to invest if they don't know how it works, and they only see the profit and ignores the risk.
I doubt if she will agree to that, her money, her profits. The only problem is she’s obviously not ready and capable to invest, otherwise she won’t doubt herself if she’ll win or lose in an investment. However, if this case happens to me, I would be frank to her and tell her to delay her investment first, know her investment well and be aware on the risks as well. That is if she wants to succeed later on, so she should learn to follow.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need help trading. on: April 30, 2024, 09:51:19 PM
Please let me know what you think a beginner should know and where they can receive the knowledge that will help them become an expert, as well as how long it will take me to get the hang of the complete trading technique. Links are greatly appreciated.

If you are brand new then I would say before starting trading you should know trading well for few months and keep practicing trading. In particular, many platforms offer demo trading so you can practice them, or start trading with a very small amount, such as $10-$20, and keep practicing. To be honest, it is very difficult to get good at trading platform without long practice, one thing but many people don't realize that is why we often face big losses.
To be honest, one should not rush into trading without learning the basics first. Trading is more risky than mere investing, so if you jump into trading without acquiring knowledge and even doing some demo trading, expect that you will get doomed in your live trading and all your time and money will only go into waste. This is the reason why we should not trade unless we are ready and capable enough mentally and emotionally.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 28, 2024, 11:21:40 PM
Clippers - Mavericks match is very competitive. If the Clippers win this game, the series will be 2-2, but if the Mavs manage to win at home, they will bring the series to 3-1 and pretty much finish the job. This could be the breaking match of the series. That's why it's very normal for both teams to put their hearts into the field. The Clippers, who score with George and Harden while Kawhi is out, also receive contributions from Westbrook. In the Mavericks, Kyrie and Doncic score a lot, but the rest of the team shoots very poorly.

Clippers won the game and got a break in Dallas. Now its 2-2 and i think we might see all 7 games in the duel. Dallas was able to comeback in the match but in the end they couldnt win the match. Harden played an amazing finish of the game and probobly won the Clippers the match with some clutch points.

Huge comeback by Dallas but still fail in the end. That was a 31 point lead by the Clippers they gave up, that might have hunt them if they loss in that game. Now the series is tied, and it's all because of Kawhi Leonard, LOL.. he didn't play on the games the Clippers had won, game 1 and 4, so it's an important decision if coach Lue will play him in game 5 if he is available. I believe if the Cliippers wants to win, they should stick with the current line up, they don't need a less than 100% Leonard in the game. I know Dallas will make an adjustment in game 5, so homecourt is not anymore an advantage here as either team had won a road game in this 4 games that was concluded.
27  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sport Dictation Free trial !! on: April 28, 2024, 10:32:43 PM
Ah lol, I knew it - most of services like this are mostly run by troubled person.
They do this not because they are good and pro on sports but because they are also broke and need money to gamble.
If they always win, why bother to selling this service.

They don't need to gamble if they are making money from this offer. It's a risk free for them as when you subscribed you'll just pay for the fee and you get the information you want, question is, how reliable the information is. Nowadays, with the sportsbookes or odds makers uses more sophisticated tools to prevent this thing or any lapses that can be abuse by certain people, so it's quite doubltful if OP had really succeeded on this or it's just a false promise.

For sure all of the information they shared is questionable since if they can hit those accurate information that can help a gambler to win then provably that they will not share their methods used. Only those shady person claiming something outrageous and those people read this should start to doubt on the service they are trying to offer. More better for people to stop trying to look after those what they called expert prediction or anything they call that since usually the random person offering this are trying to take advantage those greedy bettors who want to win and they are perfect target to those scammers to scam. People should stop listening on false promises but rather they should do a research.

OP hasn't been active for a month now, this thread was just for announcement and he does not intend to answer all the querries here, that's a sign of a shady service. He claimed that they are in a live stadium and sees what's happening before the sportsbook could react, so why can't they just put a bet on their information so it will not be suspicious? When lots of people subscribed and they bet on the same time with the same pattern, sportsbook will look into it and I think they have this association or group to prevent gamblers from cheating the casino.
28  Economy / Gambling / Re: More revelations on the challenges of physical casinos on: April 28, 2024, 08:25:56 PM
I think the agent wanted to steal the entire money but due to the pressure from the court, he has to return part of it. I see this as a warning on the dangers of greedy agents in physical gambling platforms.

Source: https://twitter.com/General_Oluchi/status/1782027404027797716

There's probably a syndicate behind this and also an anomaly, if the court has seen all the pieces of evidence and the bettor proved that he is the real winner then all winnings should go to him, the proof of the burden should be on the gambling operator that the money was already withdrawn by someone else, the court is wrong here to find people who withdraw the money.

The head office should hold the branch operator liable for not paying the winner because they will lose the reputation of the company and the trust of the bettors.

This has never happened in my country because if it's a big amount the payor is the head office, the victim should pursue the case in the higher court and ask them to revoke the license of the branch and pay for the damages, there's injustice here, bettors should not bet on this shop and they should protest the shop, this could happen again to any of their bettors.

I can see the corruption here as even the authorities or the court made a decision in favor of the betting agent. As stated in the OP, the winner got the ticket, and that should be a valid basis that he had won a bet and had to claim the entire winning. If someone had already claim then the lapses should be blame on the agent and it should not compromise the winning of the real winner. Not sure what is the court structure in Nigeria, but if it's in my country, when you are not satisfied with the decision of the certain court, you can file a case again and elevate it to the higher court, and the winner has to make sure that he'll add to his claim all the incident cost like filing a case, lawyer's fee and etc, so he'll come up with zero expenses when he'll be able to claim his entire winning.
29  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: April 28, 2024, 02:43:16 PM
However, I don't this is going to work because and addict who can't control himself will definitely find a way to get more money.
It doesn't work like that, self exclusion is when you contact the casino to make your account off from gambling. It's not about when you lose money and you find a way to make money again to gamble, but when you get yourself self excluded in a casino, you can easily betray yourself because you'll just have to find a new gambling site that will cater you.

Money is not a problem for gamblers, unless broke. This self-exclusion actually is just like fooling ourselves because its real purpose is not realized, that's from my personal point of view.
You seem to be mixing things up here, and if a gambler is not addicted because of the fun, then it must be for the money, so the money is still the problem of the gamblers. Also, you might have misinterpreted what @khaled0111 said there and I think you guys are still saying the same thing after all in the rest. Self-exclusion is just a way to restrict oneself, but not a way to cure gambling addiction. Just like you said, if he self-excluded himself but moved to another casino platform to play, is the issue still not persisting? That is why he said he doesn't think it can work just like you as the gambler may still find more money (even if he followed the style of the main OP) to still continue to gamble.

These are good points and I am certain that since gambling-related issues are psychological, psychological approaches should be used to tackle them as well. Self-deprivation like exclusion and locking out funds may only limit but will never cure the issue.

The main point of my statement is that self-exclusion that is a feature of few casinos out there seemed to be like a negative feature as a gambler could just easily choose to gamble to other casinos once he lock his account and realized the urge is still there. Casinos should only offers more games, and more bonuses that will attract more gamblers and satisfy them, they should not think of any feature that is related or could prevent gambling addiction as their main business is to serve people hence it's already expected that once a gambler opted in, they already understand what responsible gambling is.

If a gambler gets addicted, it's not anymore the business of a casino since it should be taken cared of outside casinos. Remember that casino is a business, their main goal is to generate revenue and will only happen if they could retain loyal gamblers and attract new. Self exclusion is discouraging gamblers to gambler, that will hurt the casino's revenue.
30  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 28, 2024, 12:49:53 PM
Sorry but I have to say that you are all wrong, define skill and you will understand that skill has nothing to do with sports betting, or sports betting has nothing to do with skill rather.

Think about this, the players who are playing the physical match are the ones who need to be highly skillful to win their games, not without luck on their side though.
For gambler who participate in sports betting, it's knowledge that they need, sports betting is a knowledge based game, as well as luck based as well.

So, let me say that we have three categories or type of gambling games, and those are...
1. Pure luck based - casino and slot games
2. Knowledge and luck based - sports betting
3. Skill and luck based - poker, blackjack, and some other card games.

So, your good knowledge of; and in sports, with the help of luck, is what increases ones chances of winning their bets on sports games, not skill.
You are saying stuff that make no sense at all. Knowledge and skill are literally the same thing. The players skills that you mentioned are physical skills while sports betting skills are considered mental skills.

Being highly skilled mentally helps in games like sportsbetting, poker etc although luck is also required in order to acquire successful results. Check below!

https://www.casino.org/responsible-gambling/truth-about-sports-betting/

https://www.thepunterspage.com/sports-betting-luck-skill/

We have our own belief in sports betting or any other skilled based games. Some people just trying to make it complicated, and whatever definition we have, it's never a valid argument until proven it. If some lecture me here that sports betting is out skills and he is profitable, then I would be convince that it is, but if someone says otherwise but haven't proven anything, then I will not take his word seriously but I wouldn't criticize as well as that's his personal opinion.

Let's just be happy and have fun guys, after all gambling is entertainment.
31  Economy / Gambling / Re: No KYC Crypto Casinos & Sites | NoToKYC.com | Exclusive Bonuses on: April 28, 2024, 12:17:32 PM
They market to be as no KYC casino so they should follow it and if they talk about legal compliance then I guess they should not claim anything KYC free at first place .<>

This is quite contradicting, I hope OP will clarify this because no KYC is not the norm for a casino that has a license because they are regulated. AFAIK, when a casino is regulated, KYC is automatic, so they cannot fool the public saying they are a no KYC casino, unless they are unlicense and a fully decentralized platform.
32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: After the dip in crypto, when are we expecting ath? on: April 27, 2024, 11:57:17 PM
Do you want to hear the exact date or the exact period? Haven't you heard that no one can predict this? This is why beginners are always warned not to invest in Bitcoin if this money represents a vital amount for them. You have to be patient, and I think your investment is not big if you are so worried and watching the quantity, but you have to understand that if it grows, you will not get much profit. So if you want something tangible, invest using DCA without regularly watching prices.
No one holds the future events for bitcoin, and no one can predict correctly what will be its future price. So it’s obvious that no one can answer your question. But one thing is certain, if you are seeing bitcoin price dips, expect that the next thing you will see is bitcoin price goes skyrocket. This is why research is crucial before investing so you won’t be guessing in the whole process of investing. Just hold your bitcoin, and never get worried with price correction as they won’t be always going to happen.

9 digits? so that's like $100,000,000 at a very minimum. Mmmm. if this is true then it's really big because for a new casino to payed that much that means the total wagers is more than that, and that also means that there are lot of gamblers playing on their site.
The stats are all here the top wallets are the ones being shown we don't know the exact data I hope if they can, they could show it to us for transparency.
https://bitwinup.com/about

Thanks. And wow, that's over $500 million paid.. This is the biggest casino I see that offers this kind of game.

Quote
I was exploring the website but I could not see the total wagers unlike other casinos where you can see the history of wagers regardless of the amount. I guess we just have to believe them since they won't lie because they are building their reputation.
So far there are no complaints and they are doing good, if the dev comes back they should give us updates from time to time, and the official representative must be present here to interact for feedback and suggestions.
Maybe a review campaign will benefit the platform.

That's a good thing, no complaints about them means this total bets will continue. I was trying to ask if there's a way to verify the total paid but then I realize that it was an internal transaction, so it's just a matter of trusting them now.
34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto remaining anonymous is good for Bitcoin! on: April 27, 2024, 09:36:34 PM
Satoshi is the only anonymous left in crypto, so yeah staying anonymous can be a big factor to Bitcoin.
There’s a lot of rumors about who is Satoshi but I think we will never know this as Satoshi wants to remain unknown and prove that you can still be anonymous especially in crypto. This is the purpose of crypto in the first place, it’s just that we are being force to do the kyc.
Well, KYC beats the purpose of staying anonymous but we all know this is also crucial in order to secure our safety not to lose our hard-earned crypto coins. This become a big issue way back then but now, we can say that this has been slowly accepted by the crypto enthusiasts.

However, when it comes to seeing Satoshi remains anonymous, I do think that’s a lot better for him. No need to reveal his own identity so he will continue to carry on the legacy of crypto anonymity forever.

I hope they do, this is not your average casino where they offer sign up bonus to try the platform but with the minimum amount to use the platform like 1 MATIC they can try the system, and from there the player can increase their bets, let's admit it not all players are alike some are here to make money and some are here to test the platform and some are here just to enjoy the game.
And with the minimum bet everyone is included, I'm looking forward to this.
This is true and I think this would be better it compensate for the sign up bonus and made the platform more unique since I haven't seen any casino having this game and allows such low amounts.
1 matic works better for testing while they might add other third-party aside from using Changely for swapping other coins to Matic or maybe limit the minimum swapping quantity of these coins.

Thanks for echoing this one and I'm sure the developer will consider this one for testing purposes for those who want to try the platform since they are open to feedback and suggestions, so far the platform claimed to have paid over 9 digits all time so this is a good indication that the platform is doing great until now.
Hopefully it will continue to be for many weeks or months to come.

38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What people some people don't know about trading on: April 26, 2024, 10:25:12 PM
The figures stated there are still possible to achieve in our sleep or passively if we will use a bot but of course we will need to master the art of trading first in order to put proper commands in the bot.
Even in holding, you can get that amount all of a sudden when the market pumps or the only coin that you're holding pumps.

As for trading, using a bot won't guarantee all of your trades. You're just setting it to trade for you but all the decision of your trades will still depend on you.

It's a good help but if you don't use that oftenly, you'd like to do things manually.
Its just safe to say that trading will rely greatly on your own skills and strategies towards trading, and not just rely it on bots that won’t guarantee its success and profitability. But one thing is certain, no one gets quick profits with trading, it can be highly possible losing at an instant but you will never make quick profits within a blink of an eye.
39  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just HODL on: April 26, 2024, 09:28:49 PM
Before entering the cryptocurrency market it is very important to have a broad knowledge of cryptocurrency and the intricacies of the market. Crypto markets are highly volatile. Markets will fluctuate all the time. But if you think you will profit daily by going up and down then it will never happen. After few days of good profit suddenly you are stuck with whole wealth. So I would say just HODL. 👍👍
It is always a big risk to start up cryptocurrency with no understanding,  it is just an easy way to lose because cryptocurrency is very volatile and when their is no knowledge about it, it will definitely end badly.  It is very important before any plans of investing cryptocurrency it is better to seek for knowledge because without it, it is impossible to gain profit from any investment.
The foundation of every investment is knowledge and experience. You are not expected to engage in any kind of business or investment without accumulating knowledge first, which later on becomes your experiences. Same with trading, you are not supposed to trade without prior research and no gained experience in trading, otherwise you will only waste all your capital.

However, if one finds it hard to make successful trade, then hodling is the key. That’s way less risky and stressful, and if you are just patient enough, you will reap massive profits in the end.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: April 26, 2024, 08:24:49 PM
Is this the wrong advice? A friend of mine took over his father's company because he is so old already and he told me about the money thats available doing nothing in the bank.

I told him to think about investing that money if he wants to keep the company growing, I told him about how MicroStrategy is doing so well using Bitcoin as a strong backbone of the company, I believe that even a small company can turn big if they use Bitcoin as their main investment.

Or am I wrong? I need to know if this advice is a good one or a bad one, I gave him this advice because we are very close and also because I will do the same thing if I am in his shoe, this is the best thing i can think of right now.
You need to be extra careful when giving this type of advices because you don't know how the other person would react and what type of actions would take. If this family is not used to invest money (and since the money was sitting in the bank losing value I would say they are not) that means they don't know how markets work: things like volatility, risks, time... They don't know. If your friend now reads about MicroStrategy and decides to buy all at once several bitcoins using all the money and the following week bitcoin loses 20% and he sells at loss because he doesn't know what to do, he loses money, you lose a friend.
Bitcoin is risky and one who goes to invest without prior knowledge will certainly end up at loss. And even if he’ll make a quick research with bitcoin, that won’t be enough to finally invest in it and just think that it will surely make 2x or 3x your investment capital in due time. There is still no guarantee to end up profiting with bitcoin as we are still uncertain what will be its future price, so never advise a friend about investing into bitcoin, otherwise you’ll be held responsible of his future losses if ever.
