If the dollar is debt structured, then USDT is tied to the value of one dollar, but in reality it is tied to promises and there is not even 1% of the reserves from net deposits. USDT is very bad and you should not consider it as a long-term investment. If you want to invest in a stable currency, there are better projects than PYUSD USDC DAI.
Usdt is still the same thing as dollar, it won't be a good decision for one to consider usdt as a good and longterm investment. Taking usdt as an investment is not really an investment, it is just like keeping money in the bank not knowing that the money is losing value with time. I wont advice any one to keep stable coin as an investment, in cryptocurrency we have good investment like Bitcoin to be consider as a better investment outside cryptocurrency their are other good investment. There are no reason to keep holding USDT for the long time as purposes of long term investment or other any reason. First of all no profits for it holding because it's stable coin, then if it's a centralized ecosystem so it will be risky to holding, specially i use it in P2P and sometimes to convert my altcoins that is my use cases in stable coin Tether. |

To those that invests on MemeCoins and the disreputable highily weaked volatility AltCoins, how do you treat with your conscience? How peacefully do you get your eyes closed when asleep knowing that they are short term investments that can earn you regreted if you don't sell at the right time which you were opportuned to make profit?
MEME coins are very high volatile, so of course investing in MEME coin's will be high risk, so why would you go for a big investment that you can't afford. I would like to invest in any MEME coin's then i will put a small amount of money, because i don't want to suffer financially if i lose it. It's like fifty/fifty win or lose situation to invest in MEME coins. |

Litecoin can be very old coin but it's still promising coin in the market, and still it's undervalued coin if you will comparing other projects, as par as less transaction fees it's very popular specially in online payment and personally i am using this coin to purchase many products from online marketplace. But i didn't see any increases where many top coins are already huge increased.

Hi just new to here. I want to know what are the good altcoins that can be invest and forget until 2026. I'm currently thinking to spend around 600$ for altcoins. Right now I'm holding BNB & ETH only as altcoins. Don't say buy BTC cuz already have nice amount since 2010.
Is it good to invest in HOOk, SUI , ARB or ID altcoins? Since they are new just thought to give a try. Thank you
If you invest without Bitcoin Ethereum and BNB your investment will be very risky. Since here you are ready to take risk then you can buy and invest in SUI, ARB, ID among all the coins mentioned here. But with this I am adding some more coins to you if possible you can buy all these coins if the bitcoin market is pumping it can give you a lot of profit the coins are PYR, NEAR, SOL, ISP, ENJ, TOMO etc. I don't agree that bnb is a less risky investment than for example Ripple or solana. Bnb is not in the best situation now, because there is a lot of attention to the Binance exchange. No one is immune to a crash. Remember what happened with FTX and their tokens. Correct, I agree with you, BNB is can't be considered as less risky investment, even there are no guarantee in the altcoins investment, Ethereum is very potential coin and people's trust it and it seems less risky investment to me. BNB is now good position, it's price increased but that's true it's achieved such big position because name of the Binance exchange. |

Yes, if there is an increase in Bitcoin, it is natural that altcoins will experience an increase too, but this does not have an impact on all altcoins, some are silent, some are experiencing an increase, therefore we have to do research and sort carefully. choosing an altcoin, we must choose the right potential altcoin that will have a big positive impact if there is an increase
That's true, because we have already seen that in recent movement of BTC price, BTC price is very increasing and hit previous all time high, and altcoins also good pumping but not like that Bitcoin price, a few top coins price increased pretty high but a lot of coins are not such an impacted for BTC pumping. And i think beside BTC, this bull run is also happen for MEME coins. |

The amount of return people are getting by investing in meme coins is providing money for their lifetime. If we look at the market, we can see that two meme coins have entered the market in the past few days, namely Book of Meme (BOME) and Dogwifhat (WIF). These two memes have given people the amount of money that has made them millionaires. 'Book of Meme' (BOME) has pumped over 32000% in just a few days, so imagine how much people have profited from it. Dogwifhat is another meme coin that was almost worthless when it hit the market in late 2023. Notice how much this coin is pumping in the current market. That's why I think meme coins are giving people the most money returns these days. One who is favored by fortune becomes the owner of millions by investing in meme coins.
That's true, but memecoin still has a very high risk compared to other altcoins. It would be better if we only put a small amount of money there, where the money will not affect us when it is actually lost. If you look at the pump, even if you put in a little money, it will definitely be much more because the increase in memecoin is very high, it can be 10X to 100X. Right, if MEME coins are very high risk so we can try with small amount of money, then if the project will not success so there are no chance to affect on our life, because with small amount of money your risk is less as like 10$-20$ but profit can be high even some people got million dollars just invest some dollars in MEME projects, SHIBA INU can be a big example. |

By next year this time Eloncoin will hit $2+ and those who invest in this year would make it from it and those who invested in it when it came out has already making something out from it. You can tet Eloncoin and hodle it for some years and reap what you sow in that time to have plenty.
Which is Elon Coin, Is it officially launched by Elon Musk, i never heard before but i see this project still advertising by signature campaign, i tried to find out in Coingeco and CMC, even it's not listed there. I don't know it's potential or not, but i am not interested to buy such fan token, such token will not be profitable in long term investment, i didn't see it's trading in any big exchange yet. |

To get profit from memecoin choose a way that more memecoin investment will be best and you will get profit from one or more at any time. Moreover how will you be rich by holding only one memecoin? In fact it is true that many investors have become rich from memecoin but many have also suffered losses. As all memecoins may not get the same hype as dogecoin. But some of the top altcoins might be the best investment for you
If you want to make big profit to invest in MEME coins but is it possible to make profit without taking any risk. Many investors who guys are risk taker and want to quick rich may be they can follow your method just investing a lot of MEME projects if any project give them big profit, it's not a bad idea i think. But invest in MEME coins in your afford. |

Although this thread was created in 2017 so it's been a long time so it's an old topic. Currently all of these Dogecoins have been at least inactive and have seen massive success since Elonmusk took over the project. Hence it is currently enjoying massive success and is apt to grow further.
Elon Musk has turned his attention to Doge, and it's had its moments of success. Whenever he talks about Doge, through his mouth or social media, it tends to soar. But it also crashes just as hard. Now that Elon Musk has spoken up again, it might be best to steer clear of anything associated with him. I highly agree, If it is not without promoting by Elon musk, then Dogecoin will not go as much as higher as today. And it shows that most of the traders today are into memecoins and they see the benefits and potentials of their markets in the future. Absolutely right, you know DOGE coin price was not even 1 cent before Elon Musk promoting it, back in 2016 i was own a few million of DOGE coin and when i bought it only with 20$-30$ if i am not wrong. I think Elon Musk bringing it at this current position, so i think DOGE is huge successful project in the market, although it's meme coin, but you can't ignore it succeed. |

Base on th movement of altcoins price in this bull run, I believe we are about to enter the real season of altcoins and it will help those Investors that have invested their money to Ethereum, Solana and BNB to get ready to earn what they have never earn since last year.
If you are hodling altcoins right now, get ready to massive profits because, the market price is about to turn for the favour of those that buy when the price was very low in the market and it will make some people not to be in an hurry again to sell quick.
Solana,Ethereum and Bnb holders they are already in good profits if they will go to sell right now. I sold my ETH when it was hit 4k$ and now i bought again at 3.2k$. Now if little correction is going in the market, a lot of investors going to panic sell. Still i hold my MATIC and BNB, i hope these will reach ATH in the coming bull run. |

I have been thinking about making money in cryptocurrency, but I'm hesitant to try because I don't want to get scammed i.e. didn't get any rewards for the effort I spent. I'm really curious with the current hype in 2024 and how much you've make from it? I know that scam is inevitable in altcoins, so I might be looking to earn with less risk.
What I know the current hypes in 2024 are:
1. Testnet airdrop
$600 bucks from doing hydro tesnet and it's only one example. $200 from mining Babylon project NFT, which is free, caused by all of the tasks related to the testnet. 2. Meme coins
I participated in the meme token farm and got around 120 bucks by doing some simple tasks. What about NFT or ordinals? but I think it's really risky because it's non fungible and you can't make sure people will buy your token. It's not as risky as when you randomly bought ico. In ordinal, what you need is only bitcoin as your minting fee. Participated in the raffle is free Getting whitelisted is free Have you ever known about trac? I minted around 10k token for less than $50 as minted fees and it sold it for 50k https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/trac/I also got Runestone, which is worth 0,05 BTC now. The key is consistency. What about P2E games? I haven't hear it anymore.
Not really profitable. The hype has not yet ended and you are not late to participating in the incentivised testnet, retroactive and many more. Do you have any groups to share airdrop information, or do you just find them on Bitcointalk? I've joined some groups, but most of the airdrops they share are not profitable. Sometimes, it takes many swap fees to participate in a testnet, but nothing comes back. To find every Airdrops from bitcointalk it's difficult, i see sometimes everyone talking only for hype project. Whatever, i also joined some telegram groups where some members sharing many airdrops but i got decent profits in two or three projects otherwise mostly was shit, you need to spend swap fees in most of the test net projects which is good or bad. |

I wrote a post yesterday about meme coins doing better than Alt. There was a pretty good argument that memes are also altcoins.
Then again, these comments made me start thinking. Are Altcoins really memecoins and why did you think so?
Yeah, meme coins are also altcoins that's correct because those coins are created following some big altcoins as like now Solana network based coins are going trendy, but you will never consider altcoins are meme coins, because we will compare meme coins and altcoins between their real use cases or real value, meme coins have no real use cases and products that's why those are meme coins. |

Government’s can crackdown on a specific project as like they can block IP's or URL's in a project, but there also solution if you will use VPN. They can shutdown for a individual project and it’s happened in many counties but they can't totally stopped crypto. And governments will never crackdown specially decentralised project, they can only controlled centralized project if they want.
The crackdown of crypto is very possible in the system. Crypto projects are best and good for improvement. The Government means good for the country, they're trying their possible best to eliminates cryptocurrency because they sensed it to be threats. Government have power and dominates every activities within a country, they mean good and development for a country, one of the major reasons they're not sliding back but focused on their budgets. The government have a hand in the restrictions of crypto projects in the market. The government can do many things if they wants in their countries, as like blocking or strict restrictions in crypto, that happen in my country but i see crypto is going more popular day by day, because if they shut down a site, people resort to alternative methods as like using VPN or other ways. So government can dominate but can't totally stopped it. |

There are thousands of altcoins in crypto market and each of coin has investors! Cause people have different choice from one to another. People even invest in shitcoin to get rich quickly. Shiba Inu Thou Bitcoin has proven to be the best coin so far You mentioned 5 coins, but i blindly trust only ETH because it’s such a strong platform, and keep top 2 ranked coins for the many years, it has proven as one of the most potential coin on the cryptocurrency market. Do you trust most PEPE & SHIBA INU? You know both of MEME coins, People may benefit from it temporarily but in the long term these coins may disappear one day. |

Of course crypto profit is higher than bank, because bank profit is fixed, actually i think if you will deposit in the bank for the long time, actually your money will be decrease if you will consider inflation it’s pretty high in many counties, so i don’t want deposit in bank. In crypto investment your money can double in short time if you can buy good coins, but in the bank they give incentives 5%-8% in yearly, it’s different in each country.

There are so many different types of coins nowadays, but I don't even know how I should choose anymore. Do you guys have any good advice?
Try and make your personal research about these coins and tokens i will be listing and try to invest on anyone you have the feelings for its better performance, they are as follows. Bitcoin Ethereum Solana Link Floki Pepe Shiba Inu Avalanche Cardano All you need to do is to invest in the exact amount you can afford to loose, also if you're taking consideration of investing huge amount in crypto, then it will be profitable for you to split your money on them. I think MEME coins can not be included in the good coins list, If OP is asking about current good coins and which will be advantages if now will invest. MEME coins can give massive profits but on the other side you know also how much risky to buy such coins. Most provably OP is newbie investor i think BTC & ETH is the risk free investment to long term holding. SOLANA is a good but it’s price can dropped hardly. |
