With ridiculous dnm analysis I mean: Who cares if it's going 1% up or down. What did you expect? That overnight everyone will be using it. It will take time. And I don't even care about dnm. There is a bigger picture which you fail to see.

I (and most here) really don't care about day trading which seems to be your thing. All you are doing is making FUD to support your day trades. That is why your are non stop flip flopping: One day "I see a bright future", next day "it's dead", and that's why people are tired of you.

If only this thread was moderated.

BTC up 3% alts down 10% ? Really ? Who normal would do that ?

It makes sense, it's not only the ratio but when BTC rises, panic sellers jump on board.

I think some of the newbies here, especially the nrg, money loser gang are looking for a get rich quick scheme while most others here
are interested in the long term prospects.

The flip flopping of NRG is so ridiculous because he not only flip flops on his short term predictions but also on his long term ones,
when he shorts he desperately propagates the death of xmr with his laughable dnm analysis and other nonsense. The height of it was his
photoshopped dnm forum comments.

NrG flip flopped again?  Cheesy

What is the reason for this bitcoin rally other than it's November?
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 17, 2016, 10:56:31 PM
Just seems strange we haven't picked up a large exchange or two by now....

Apparently, it's not that easy to implement as it's not based on the BTC protocol like any other coin so it needs a bit of work to implement.

The same goes for the GUI, for any other coin it's pretty simple and straightforward but XMR is unchartered territory and it needs to be done properly from the ground up.
People often fail to see this but that's what's so great about the devs, they seem to be in it for the long run and aren't throwing out half baked goods just because the market demands it.

The shorter is just one guy with multiple accounts so it should be easy to overcome if there is someone investing real paper money into it.

Could it be a "big player" (perhaps even on an institutional level) which feels threatened by the prospects of XMR?

Adoption takes time, especially as the GUI isn't out yet, a lot of people don't feel comfortable with the command line. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Nice comment from reddit:

"The market depth cannot be 'bullish' or 'bearish', generally (obvious exceptions in more extreme examples). Monero has remained stable against BTC in the last week despite increases in BTC (so thus has gone up against USD).

Monero remains uncertain. It always has been. It has had a 'hype cycle', and is now 100% below its all-time high. However it is also well over 100% over what it was at the start of August. It has continuing strong support from a wide developer base, a robust roadmap moving forward, as well as an unpeered underlying mechanic.

As soon as alphabay announced adoption, everyone lost their underwear, and the price skyrocketed. When it became clear that the actual use in the markets has been increasing only slowly, the bottom fell out of the market and we dropped from 0.02 to 0.01. Adoption will, however, continue to slowly increase.
Monero is fungible and untraceable, and the use case for it in the DNM is going to become more and more clear (sadly, perhaps, at the cost of several bigger players who continue to use BTC being busted by blockchain analysis).

For what it is worth, I sold over half of what I held at around 1.8 and now have bought fully back in. The future for Monero is bright. How bright is uncertain, but I feel that it will have an indisputable role to play in the coming crypto era."

NrG, why are you such a flip flopper? You are clearly just making propaganda trying to serve your own agenda. There is not a lot of people writing here but there are clearly more silent readers as there is hardly anything else about Monero speculation on the net. A few pages ago, you were saying the exact opposite.

You can't compare Monero to any other scamcoin, they're all just relabelled Bitcoins, perhaps with a few ad-ons. Monero is fundamentally new and solves many of the shortcomings of BTC. That is why it has been adopted by AB. Clearly, it will take some time now, Rome wasn't built in day. Also, you keep on talking about no GUI, if you would follow the development, you could see that the Beta is almost done. RingCT is announced for January.

If you were just a FUD troll but you keep on flip flopping, makes no sense...
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 15, 2016, 03:20:53 PM
Either some people here are incredibly small-minded and shortsighted or they are just FUD trolls. When I bought a few hundred Moneros during that small hype in March for 0.0027 and it went down afterwards to almost half of that, there were the same troll comments saying it's all over and that it will never recover. Now it's the same thing. Of course, everything is possible but it's highly unlikely that prices will not go up again and that there won't be more ATHs, no matter how low it goes now.

You know I'm becoming convinced that these markets are manipulated. Why would a loser project like "pot coin" rise so hard and crash so fast like that? Nobody should have ever even heard of it. People were talking about FOMO on "pot coin". FOMO ON "POT COIN". What!?

I know this is probably not news to anyone but im naturally extremely skeptical of everything. So I wasnt convinced till now. But closely watching the rise and fall of "pot" has convinced me. I just cant comprehend an organic growth driven process for what that "pot coin" chart looks like. So I really think some group of people pushes these things up in large conspiratorial calculated moves.

Isn't that what you call "manipulation" just bots trading? Some whale creates a hype, the bots (and others) jump in and the whale goes out making a small fortune?
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 08, 2016, 12:40:42 AM
I know, people are so flippity floppity here. I bought a few hundred xmrs (after I had done a lot of reading and believing in the project) in march and just forgot about them until my friend calls me beginning of september and told me to take a look at the chart. I thought "nice, much sooner and more than I expected". I thought and still think there is bright future for monero but that it would take much longer, definitely after GUI and ringct, and think this rise might be a little premature but so be it, perhaps it's a good thing.

Could have traded on these recent up and downs and perhaps made or loose a few coins but I say: If you believe in this project then be the change you wanna see. Support it by holding and don't just leech on it, that's the best way to make monero strong and get some sweet returns one day.

At $500+, I don't know why anyone in their sane mind would hold Bitcoin. You aren't going to make +100% gain from $500 in 2016.
If I buy gold, it has less utility than Bitcoin.  Where can I spend gold?  Nowhere.  All I can do with gold is mail it back to the gold dealer for 90% or less of what I paid for it.

I don't know where you are from but here in Europe, the local shops give you 97% of what you've paid.
195  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: April 17, 2016, 09:05:16 PM
TPTB, what do you think about silver?

And would you mind answering my question about mines? If gold will go up in 16/17, so will mines, no?
196  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: April 16, 2016, 10:26:04 PM
Either I saw this on MA's website or it was TPTB but I'm not sure, could also be that I got this wrong.
197  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: April 16, 2016, 09:45:52 PM
Okay, makes sense, so this temporary low in 2016.75 could be much worse than 2008? And will stay bad for some time?
198  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: April 16, 2016, 04:49:09 PM
Actually, I haven't read (a lot) Armstrongs predictions and am not trading but find this all very fascinating. I am not looking for guarantee that anything will go up or down but am interested to know what you (or Armstrong) thinks why gold would go down. It just seems to me that if the markets experience a low in 2016.75 (for example) gold should go up, no? Or what are the reasons that this would not be the case? (I am thinking about buying a little gold and was wondering if it will really go to 850).

Also, about gold mines (the "good ones") if as Armstrong says that gold will eventually reach $5000 then the mines should go exponentially higher?
199  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: April 16, 2016, 08:39:03 AM
But why should it dip at all? Unfortunately, I can't afford the Gold report. The dip was announced for 2016 Q1, so far it hasn't occurred.

Thank you, TPTB_need_war,

I find your posts incredibly interesting and thought provoking. I noticed you in the Monero Speculation thread. Please don't mind the people criticising,
there are surely a lot of silent readers appreciating your input. I really like the fact that you focus on a bigger picture instead of viewing crypto as this isolated sphere.

I am wondering if the conclusion from MA's and your prediction that the smartest thing to do, would be to invest in
dollars now, wait for everything to go down in late 2016, then invest in pm, blue chip and crypto and sell when
the market goes up in 2017/2018?

But what to do after that? Since the big crash will come around 2020? Where to invest in those times? Remain in pm and crypto?

Also, I've noticed that you predict the us market to go up in 2018 and TA talks about 2017? I'm also wondering why you predict gold to go down to 850? If the stock market
goes down 2016.75, wouldn't it make sense that gold goes up in a panic reaction? Also, do you have any opinion/prediction about mining stocks?
