RSM Moving to Quarterly Financial Statements

RSM has decided to move from monthly financial statements to quarterly financial statements with monthly financial summaries. The reason being that there simply isn't enough info to merit the creation of a monthly statement. We reserve the right to move back to monthly statements in the future because of demand or large movements in the bitcoin space.

January Financial Summary

As expected our revenues fell again this month as difficulty continues to rise and we wait on new orders. We spent more from re-investment this month as we invested in Litecoin ASICs and a Bitmine.ch pre-order (29.08 BTC together). We also invested 1 BTC (+Miner Fee) from the Re-investment fund to fund the BTC in space project.

<See Post for Table>

Jupiter Sold

One of our KNC Jupiter's has been sold via eBay for $6,000 dollars. At recent rates we expect it to give us 8 XBT after fees. We estimate that this amount is more than the miner would produce mining making the asset sale profitable for RSM.

10% of the profits from this sale will go into the dividend fund with 5% each going to the buyback and salary funds. We expect approximately 6 XBT to head back into the Re-Investment fund for additional expansion.

RSM is interested in selling our other two KNC Jupiter for a good price.

Bitmine.CH Preordered

RSM has purchased a Bitmine.CH Coincraft Rig Configured with 2.8 TH/s of hashing power. The units are expected to start shipping March 24th 2014. The Coincraft Rig was purchased for 15.98869565 BTC. Funding for which came from the Re-Investment Fund.

This brings our total expected hash rate to 19.45 TH/s (0.144 GH/s/share). See table below for summary of our hardware.

Uploading BIG files is now possible.

Up to 1Mb, although this is an artificially self imposed limit, we may increase it if there is demand for it.
Also all the files uploaded now from krypte.net use the envelope protocol (even small ones).

Feedback ? Ideas ? Donations Wink ?

See our latest blog post at https://krypte.net/bog/1 for more info.

Hey how (if it does) does datacoin reward those who run a full node? That seems like the most important part of datacoind is the storage and not the transactions. I'm sure I'm missing something. Thanks!

Industry Updates

Viper ASIC Update(Litecoin)

Quote
Greetings Miners!

Progress by our engineering partners has been picking up fast and a quick update for the week’s end is as follows:

Engineering Update

* ASIC design has been more optimized and frozen.
* ASIC Synthesis & Physical design is going on. Tape out target end of march.
* Provision for MBIST and boundary scan for DFT has been done.
* Architecture of Mining Board design has been finalized and design has been started.
* Sitara ARM AM335x Processor from TI for Host Board has been finalized and design has been initiated.
* Provision of power consumption & temperature on the LCD display has been incorporated.
* Eliminated switch from the enclosure. All the input and set up will be done through web pages just like a router. ### Mechanical Update
* Enclosure material will be of Aluminium.
* Universal power supply has been identified for 5mh design.
* 5Mh box will be 1u but much smaller in size ( easy for transportation, likely half of 19” rack).
* Power figures as of now are looking good
   * 5Mh<=70 watts
   * 25Mh<=300 watts

KNC Neptune Update (Bitcoin)
Quote
Neptunes are still very much in the preliminary design phase. As much as the timeline will be reduced significantly in comparison to a standard engineering project at 20nm, if such exists, because this is absolute bleeding edge we want to be absolutely sure what we commit to silicon will ensure a successful product at the end. This initial phase will not be rushed.

That said we have completely re-written and optimised the RTL code. The Jupiter project was very much focused upon safe speed to market and the window of opportunity hashing power presented in this present finite period prior to significant competition. The Neptune project whilst adhering to aspects of the aforementioned must focus upon power consumption as it's primary trait if customers (you guys) will be able to compete successfully over a longer period. We know that we are reaching limits on standard household circuits, we want you to remain competitive w.r.t. the unfolding mining landscape and we are all to well aware that electricity costs will come into focus in the not too distant future.

So where we are now is that we have a working FPGA code and are in the process of testing that and tweaking any further refinements before it's submission.

With respect to the speculation above we sold out of Neptune's last night.

Viper ASIC Timeline Released
Quote
On Monday (13/01/2014) we released an outline of our set roadmap, today as promised we will be releasing a timeline with dates on each aspect of the development process. This shows our commitment to transparency and gives a better idea on what exact stage we are on at all times. As we go through multiple developmental stages in parallel, we will be releasing regular detailed updates on our progress. Our next updates will be consistent developmental updates on what is being worked on and what has been achieved.

Timeline:

Project Start: 16/08/13
Project Finish: 15/07/14

RSM December 2013 Financials

The December Financials statement has been released. You can download it here. Here's the executive summary of the statement for those who may be too buys to read the entire document.

Quote
Executive Summary

RSM had another solid month of operations in December. Month to month our revenue fell by 0.31347679 BTC which was a decrease of approximately 1.1%. We don’t expect to bring Jupiter Miner up and running every month so expect our revenue to fall monthly until Q1/Q2 2014 when the KnC Neptune Miners ship.

50  Economy / Services / Re: BitVPS - down for 24 hours and not responding to emails? on: January 03, 2014, 06:09:41 PM
After some trouble with a VPS there a few days ago, it looks like their entire site is offline and BitVPS.com is not even resolving for the past 24 hours.

Since I just prepaid for the quarter, this is kind of uncool. Anyone know what's going on?

Here's their networks status:

No but I can tell you that my website hosted at bit vps is still up so I'm assuming that it's a problem with their webserver.

Also you can access their website via IP: http://142.4.201.232/ but it looks like the CSS and such is referenced by domain name and doesn't resolve. I think if you you change your /etc/hosts to say that bitvps -> 142.4.201.232 . You should be able to access their site. But I haven't tested that.

Another edit:
Looks like that's the problem. Just tested by setting that in my hosts file. Works like a charm now. They seem to be having a DNS issue.
52  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] BitVPS on: January 03, 2014, 04:45:43 PM
Hey Guys,

I had given up on bitvps, until I did a search and found this thread.

Reading through the thread, it appears that shareholders with less than 25 shares have to wait till the dividends accrue to a sizable amount sufficient to justify the fees. Guess I'll have to wait.

Also, have you guys considered crypto-trade as an exchange? I own a bit of shares of that exchange. It is small but I think is a growing exchange.

I have reccomend them to use havelock, cryptostocks and even rocktrading, arij told me that havelock was the only one he liked and he would look into it. This was about a month ago tho.

Arij what's your opinion on colored coins and open transactions?

The financial statement for the month of November has been published and is located here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0An6qwdlD-DbCdHktZUgtSDRMRGhLMEdfNnZJM2h6RlE&usp=sharing

In regard to finding an exchange to be listed on we are still seeking options. We are currently trying to get in touch with Havelock again since I believe they are accepting new listings at this time.

Best,
James

Thanks!

Motion Up On Loomio

There's a motion up on Loomio. Please go vote on it if you're a shareholder. Here's the motion text:

Quote
Agree to donate 1BTC to bitcoins in space to gain brand recognition for RSM. This sponsorship will help in the branding of RSM and hopefully help attract increased investment. The 1BTC will come from the growth fund so as not to affect the dividend or buyback funds. WE are planning on raising the growth fund to 50BTC by February plus we have $50,000 of 20nm ASIC’s on pre-order.

Vote no to disagree with the sponsorship and increase the growth fund by 2% in February.

Hi everyone, I've been having a bit of a problem lately and need some advice-
One of my friends was just laid-off and has been saying some really negative and frankly sentist stuff about his former employer.  I really think he has said some very offensive things about her, but I'm not sure how to get him to stop.
How can I convince him how disgusting and offensive his humanicentric attitude is?

Dude he just got fired. Give him a few days to calm down.
56  Economy / Securities / Re: What markets are there? on: December 10, 2013, 05:05:21 AM
I am not really following this, as there is alot of stuff being thrown around here. What markets are the for trading shares/stock on, Bitcoin denominated? I know of Havelock Investments, but what else is there out there that actually has some weight behind it?

Suggestion wait colored coins should have a beta soon (months) and people will start to move to ccs for distributed shares. Think bitcoin but for the stock market.

If you have to stick to 796, Havelock, Crypto-Trade and direct shares. By all means stay away from MPEX. That's $30,000 to trade that you will in all likely hood will never make back.

KNC Jupiter #3 is Up and Hashing

KNC Jupiter #3 has been delivered and is up and hashing. This machine is projected to run at 650 GH/s and raise our Hashrate to 1.75 TH/s ( 12.77 MH/s/share ). This is projected to be our last KNC Jupiter purchase before the Neptune come in Q1/Q2 2014.

Currently the machine is averageing 675 GH/s over the first bit here. We will post an update on the machines hashrate as more time passes.

Edit: Corrected projected hashrate from 550 GH/s to 650 Gh/s.

Great work with the report! Thanks

Thanks Smiley

Good work on RSM Smiley

I got out two months or so ago because I needed some BTC but been following, and looks like the growth plan is going great.

Such is sometimes the nature of necessity.
