there is no question in my mind that the Nations League is a complete waste of time and energy on the part of the players. with the world cup approaching, i don't think there is time for players to play in the Nations League as well as the possibility of them getting injured since there are key players for a nation who can single-handedly win any match they play in. in spite of this, i have to admit that i was very disappointed with both Germany and England during the match. they may have been playing safe so that no players get injured, but even after that their games were really slow-paced, so it could be that they were playing safe to prevent any injuries.
There's also the fact that the Nations League prevents South American teams to play against most of the best teams in the world for practice. Argentina ended up playing against Honduras recently for a friendly match, and Messi got almost injured from it. Still Argentina seems to have hopes for this world cup. Liam Dawson should have stayed on there with patience as England were very close to victory, after they scored 24 runs in Hasnain over. It was Haris Rauf over that turn the match towards Pakistan. In the match India vs Australia and Pakistan vs England the results didn't make me surprised or impressive, I find the performance from United Arab Emirates team really good and made Bangladesh feel the pressure. Yes, India and Pakistan are strong enough against their opponents and the spectators felt that both these teams can win. But a good game was held between United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh. Arab Emirates could not win the match but they are relatively play well. It has to be said that two teams like Afghanistan and Arab Emirates have been able to bring big changes in their cricket in a relatively short period of time. I watched some parts of the Bangladesh vs UAE match. UAE played very well. While the performance of the Bangladeshi bowlers was good, as usual, we saw a poor performance from the batsmen. Apart from Afif and Nurul Hasan, none of Bangladesh's batsmen could play well. Giving a target of just 159 runs is not enough for the T20 format. If de Jong wants to stay in barcelona he should cut his salary. I think Barcelona is happy with his performance. What makes them think is his salary. If he does not lower his Salary and asks for the same money, we keep hearing news that he may be transferred to another team for a long time. I think the reason that made De Jong want to stay at Barcelona isn't that Barcelona still owes him, but because he really just wanted to play for Barcelona and he has high loyalty to Barcelona. So most likely he would be willing if his salary was cut. Manchester City have got very good attacking players so they should be able to get a win easily, but it will be difficult to happen when they can't work as a team because real attackers need good ball support so as a striker they can execute well. we've seen man city draw against a team like Aston Villa, so it won't be surprising to see another one against Man Utd, the bookmakers are favoring Man City a lot but I hope we can see a good classic derby between them with goals from both sides.
