Man I am glad I don't live in Russia. sure would hate to miss out on bitcoin.
I am glad I do live in Russia. And I won't miss out on Bitcoin regardless of what the government says.

What is a Russia ?
This is something that can turn your country into radioactive ash.

Pseudo-anonymity + pseudo-decentralization = Bitcoin (pseudo-coin)

I remember reading tons of posts for good news in July (not ATH, but relatively high). Do you guys think its still on, or will August or September be a better time frame. (Not ATH but like 700-900 or so).
Dear bagholder, sell while you can. We won't see 700-900 in the next 3-5 years.

Why facepalm?
coz you are stupid, man.
bitcoin is fine, but the mining thing isn't.
- How is my health, doctor? - You are fine, but your brain, heart and circulatory system aren't.

Seems to explain the price drop. Can you guys knock it down to around $10 a coin for an hour or two? Preferably within the next few days...
To $10? In 2 years for sure.

BINGO! Welcome to the centralized payment network "Bitcoin", owned and operated by GHash Inc.
I don't care.
Coz you are f*cking greedy newbie. Meanwhile...
GHash generated 7 of 12 blocks since 0:00 UTC today. It means 58%.
No because within 10 minutes Ghash.IO would lose at least 5% hashing power due to panic ending the 'attack'
The problem is that miners won't care about US sanctions against Russia, or about Ukrainian people hating Russians. Miners even won't notice that some transactions are not being included into blocks. There are a lot of threats in this kind of situation, whatever Andreas says. And no one does anything real to prevent this centralization in the future. The system should not rely on people's responsibility. The system should be designed to work even if everyone is too stupid to change anything on his computer.
Because that's not what an individual with 51% mining power could do. Educate yourself.
Will Ghash.IO be able, for example, to block all transactions from Russian IPs because of US sanctions? Or because the owner of GHash is from Ukraine. Simply not include those txs into blocks.
No, it wouldn't.
I don't see why the centralized payment system "Bitcoin" (owned by GHash inc.) wouldn't be the same as Visa.
(wouldn't do major damage to the system)
The system will become the same as visa/mastercard/paypal. Isn't that a major damage?
Are you telling me that the fate of bitcoin resting resting on a single entity who can fork it on a whim, is not a problem?
+1. What's the difference between bitcoin and centralized payment systems (visa, mastercard, paypal) then? The de-facto single payment processor is not what we all are expecting from bitcoin. Even if our money is safe (for now). Meanwhile, GHash.io is at 47%. I bet it will reach 50% in a few days.

Watch RT with the knowledge that this is what Russia wants foreigners to believe. But not their own citizens.
I watch both RT and Russian national TV channels and don't see any differences in news they show. Bitcoin promotion is just a Max Keizer thing I guess, and it doesn't represent the TV channel's point of view.
