1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: May 20, 2019, 06:07:55 PM

Ok one last post before I go because this is so earily similar to something I just read. Uncle Screwtape from the the book by C.S. Lewis would absolutely agree with you here dippididodaddy.

@CoinCube: dippididodaddy eh? hahaha. When I read about the inevitable monopolization of your time by the new business, I realized time is running short, and the invaluable contributions to this discussion made by you, soon coming to an end (or at least slowing down drastically), and something had to be done. I therefore devised a plan to summon you back (maybe), one last time to be invigorated by your spirited enduring argumentation. It worked! Goodluck and Godspeed to you too. Please do return at a convenient time.

I think science outpaced our linguistic development.

We humans will never be able to escape our neurophysiologically hardwired,  linguistic meaning making mechanisms - it is rooted to the core of our being. But science has indeed prodded religious linguistics as a superficial kind, a kind that needed a rude awakening, a disillusionment if you will. Yes, it is through the applied methodology of science that religious members became disappointed, dissatisfied  and utterly discontented with the cheap spells that their various sects have so lavishly kept casting on them to keep the poor parishioners illusioned  and falsely enchanted throughout the entirety of their miserable lives.

But you are right, we need new linguistic jargon that will unleash the exploring minds of humans, but keep us grounded in the materialistic reality, through which science has granted us a much fuller, clearer (disenchanted) and sense driven understanding.

Did you ever notice how it is that evryone dies... sooner or later?
The only reason that God allows society to exist at all is to give people time to find out about Jesus salvation. God knows that the majority will never believe, but He is honorably offering them the chance.
This is the way that He is saving a few for Himself. And that is why He is allowing society to continue at all.

Yes, yes, God is fully aware just how exuberantly lavish and extravagantly glorious the after party is going to be and I bet He can't wait, that is why He is willing to go through all this current trouble to get His few chosen ones there.

Seriously what has to happen in a person's life for them to seriously give up hope on the one true everlasting brand (of religion) which their ancestors have followed for generations.

The answer is quite simple - frankly acknowledge (and outrightly reject) the fundamental building blocks of religious institutions: coercion, indoctrination, manipulation, domination, deceit, contempt and lastly but also very importantly, discrimination.

5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New York State Rockland County Bans Unvaccinted Kids From All Public Places on: March 31, 2019, 05:25:41 AM

Is everyone starting to see the pattern here? Do you really think the government cares this much about your health? This is not about vaccines, this is about control and stripping the rights of ALL OF US.

PROBLEM - REACTION - SOLUTION  = THESIS - ANTITHESIS - SYNTHESIS  =  CHAOS - FEAR - SUMBISSION

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-03-27/ny-county-bans-unvaccinated-kids-all-public-places

You have it right, I definitely see something going on here. This is a preliminary test of the government to see where in the equation the population sits at currently. I also expect this will not be the last of this tightening of the noose around the necks of unsuspecting citizens (until it is too late). From the cited zerohedge article: " What Rockland County is doing is unconscionable, and they should be completely and utterly ashamed of themselves." [highlights mine]. We must stay vigilant and informative - it is a crucial time in history. Thank you brother for bringing this up.

6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: SpaceX and the prospects of Mars colonization. on: March 24, 2019, 04:31:57 AM

The spherical object we currently inhabit, is perfectly situated in its orbitary location to foster life - the carbon based kind, all living organisms that dwell this globe, have. Without an argument, life on this sphere began very very tiny and very very long ago - 3.5 billion years. Today, without a doubt a cool 3.5 billion years later we ourselves also appear on the face of planet earth. An extensively elongated succession of eons with precision laws of physics and mathematical constants at play, is all it took. This sphere having been fully colonized, is our only home, now and till the day we will be no more - rest assured, we ain't going nowhere else.

7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Macron to deploy French army against yellow vest protests on: March 23, 2019, 05:48:46 PM

Lessons from history and current day happenings show time and time again, (sort of ad infinitum) that violence does not pay off. The executive-, legislative- and judicial bodies ought to think hard about this, and remember the well documented egregious massacres of the past which unfolded within the borders of the sovereign state, between the citizens abiding within. This is no time to fear!! This is the opportune time (the best moment) to talk openly, unrestrictedly  and freely - with each other.

8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New Zealand ChristChurch mass shootings >:( >:( on: March 20, 2019, 06:04:27 PM

One thing is clear to me - the utter fragility of the human state. Whether death by one bullet (per second) or tens to hundreds (per second), or mass deaths by ballistic nuclear missiles, when it is the death of an innocent we are talking about, and even done by a fairly sane law abiding enforcer, for instance, with only one bullet per second, it is still just as tragic and meaningless and completely wrong as the deaths of the 50 innocents in ChristChurch, done by an insane whaco.

9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: All human should be vanished. This place is only for animal ! on: March 19, 2019, 07:07:40 PM

Human is also an animal, but stitting at the most top of world's food cycle.
But if human stays few more centuries here then this place will not be suitable for any organisms to live that is why we are preparing for mars.

Except, don't forget studies have shown that cockroaches especially, amongst smaller organisms, will not only survive the most brutal of cataclysmic nuclear war, and -winter thereafter, but will in fact thrive into the billions in numbers. The smallest organisms are also the toughest; have been here millions upon millions of years before us and probably will be after the demise of the Homo genus, class:  so called sapiens [read funny].

The world has always been crazy , we are animals after all...

But take note, the craziness is getting amplified in orders of magnitude at this current space and time we find ourselves in. Either we (the people) all get weaponized , or we make sure so called ruling bodies de-weaponize all enforcement battalions and regiments known to exist that could enslave us all to imprisoned planet earth, or worse, scrupulously lead to our sudden demise as a species.

In short, this ought to be a all or nothing environment - for all.

10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is banning weapons such a good thing? on: March 16, 2019, 01:10:16 AM

Its not the weapons that are good or bad or need to be banned.

Its the immoral subliminal brainwashing that is sprayed out on the masses that needs to be put to an end.

Greed, sex, drugs, power, money, ME ME ME - Its these messages that are causing the chaos in this world. Not weapons.

Actually, these are some basic building blocks of civilizations, as long the drugs are mild and not too addictive i would add (concerning the drug aspect) and the greed limited in some way or another. As for ME ME ME - it's absolutely essential for a well greased society.

What is sad though, is when a government starts thinking of banning weapons, because the weapons the citizens use, are used almost twice as much to fatally self-inflict, rather than fatally inflicting the life threatening adversary (other than self).

11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New Zealand ChristChurch mass shootings >:( >:( on: March 15, 2019, 06:24:57 PM

Facebook has deleted that video. This terrorist killed them as if he was playing "Call of Duty" game.

There must be higher order reasons for the deletion. The fabric of civilization, when torn bad, can trigger unforeseen consequences.

Dude, have you ever been in ‘real’ muslim countries? I live in Turkish ‘Republic’. There is not Sharia but sometimes they really interfere in people's lifestyle. Trust me, when they raise their population you can’t live together with them. Muslim people may be good, but Muslim communities are becoming radical. If the radical Islamists had the chance, they would have killed us (normal muslim Turks) like Syria. We encourage immigrants to come from Africa to Turkey. They involved in many incidents of sexual harassment. We accepted 1 million Kurds in 1990s, they created racial terrorist groups like PKK/YPG and killed civilians. We accepted 4 million syrian refugees 7 years ago. they abuse womens, they steal, they fight, they are really garbage. Multiculturalism is bullshit.

The ancient exceptionalist exclusivist mid eastern religions and their offshoots, still today toxifies communities with ill begotten rotten dicta. These diseased dogmas, having infiltrated the globe, have no easy cure.

12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: May loses the Brexit vote. on: March 14, 2019, 05:38:39 PM

after brexit you will eat bread with worcester sauce

Things look a little messy with the brexit thing going on, but a clever Brit will put Marmite on the bread and keep the Worcester sauce to spice up a dreadful but healthy Brussels Sprouts soup.

13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The death of cash on: March 10, 2019, 09:33:42 PM

The value of Bitcoin without fiat is the value of living. The entire fiat system is a Ponzi that is giving the bankers the value. Why not get rid of the whole fiat system, thereby keeping the value among the people?

Long live We the People.

14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: March 09, 2019, 03:07:17 AM

People are responsible for their good and bad actions.  Only people, there is no God involved because God does not exist.
God is the product of an overactive imagination.  That is all.

On this day 2019, international women's day, I'd like to echo some of the google iterations also applicable here:

"Never be limited by other people's limited imaginations." - Dr. Mae Jemison, American astronaut and physician

"Lass durch nichts in der welt dich binden als durch deine höchste innere wahrheit." - Emma Herwegh, German writer
"Let nothing bind you in the world but through your highest inner truth"

"Eu soumais forte do que eu." - Clarice Lispector, Brazilian novelist
"I am stronger than I am."

"Courage calls to courage everywhere." - Millicent Fawcett, British writer and suffragette

15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism vs. Socialism - Make your argument here. on: March 07, 2019, 05:43:34 PM
capitalism is also a dictatorship actually.
through a financial cartel

I say fuck both these asshole systems. We the people could dismiss, deny and nullify these oppressive in-bed-with-government systems once and for all. We have the means and power through technology.

And we should be very wary at this time for the other just-as-fucked ass system - fascism, which is the next in line to rear its ugly head, given the point in time we are at.

Definition of fascism (wikipedia): Fascism is a form of radical, right-wing, authoritarian ultranationalism, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy.

Take heed my fellow libertarians.

You are wrong on that point af_newbie. Everyone worships something. Your only choice is what that worship is centered on and whether you are going to be aware of what you are worshipping.
Here is the entire speech by David Foster Wallace. It was dubbed by Time magazine the greatest commencement speech of all time and it highlights this issue well.
This Is Water - Full version-David Foster Wallace Commencement Speech
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8CrOL-ydFMI

It looks to me this Wallace fellow had it right (7:19-46) about the way it seems to me almost all, if not all, academic induced peacockish individuals live their particular puny lives of worship : "Given the triumphant academic setting here, an obvious question is how much of this work of adjusting our default setting, involves actual knowledge or intellect? This question gets very tricky. Probably the most dangerous thing about an academic education, at least in my own case, is that it enables my tendency to over-intellectualize stuff, to get lost in abstract arguments inside my head, in stead of simply paying attention of what is going on right in front of me."

You will always find other humans right in front of you, but "God" - never ever.

17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism vs. Socialism - Make your argument here. on: March 06, 2019, 03:42:25 AM

...If you think you have a point of your own to make then make one.

It is quite obvious to me that this so called capitalism is nothing more than a system of hocus pocus, devised many years ago by self acclaimed  argle-bargle nitwits.

18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism vs. Socialism - Make your argument here. on: March 05, 2019, 09:29:30 PM

Oh dear god
I really do have to learn to quote properly

Please stick to the topic under discussion...

Its complete capitalist dogma.  Bezos didn't become a billionaire by selling books out of his garage...Those would have been some expensive books...It is not possible to become a billionaire from your own labor.

                                                                                                     Ok

...for instance, take note neither Bezos, the garage-book seller, nor Bezos the CEO and president of Amazon could have been a billionaire using only his own labor.
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: March 01, 2019, 08:36:45 PM

...What would be your ideal set of laws regarding firearms?

I don't know about the ideal set of laws for firearms, but I was shaken when i laid eyes on the statistics, compiled by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, only a couple months old, where not only is the US the only G8 member that ranks in the top 20 nations for gun deaths, but of the three categories used in the statistical chart, namely firearm violence, firearm suicide and firearm accident, the US percentage on firearm suicides, dwarfs every single one of the other top 19 nations, by a wide margin.

In fact, the US even outweighed Uruguay, the only other nation where firearm suicides counted for more deaths than the firearm violence; firearm violence being the top death causation in the case for the other 18 top gun death nations in the world.

The ratio between firearm suicides to firearm violence in the US is 7.7 to 4.4, as outlined by the study done by the Institute mentioned. (see GUNS IN AMERICA: OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH FIREARMS IN 5 CHARTS)

What this boils down to is that for every 1 person that causes death of someone else using a firearm, there are 1.75 persons causing their own death, using a firearm in the USA. Very very sad. Sad

20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Science and Religion? on: February 27, 2019, 01:23:03 AM

Scientists like their job. That's why they try to appease the questioning minds of non-scientists in religious science ways... science theory as fact. If they didn't, the people would lose all their respect for scuentists. Why? Because REAL science takes way too long to find the answers for the most important questions... Heaven, Hell, God, evolution, life without end, lots more.

REAL science are done by REAL humans, who may or may not have burning questions about whether or not there are other life forms apart from the observable and discoverable ones, being studied and analyzed to date. This is not what REAL science, being conducted by REAL Scientists do: it does not presuppose any of the things the words you used may or may not refer to, id est "god, heaven, endless life" etc., which, when analyzed, represents mere speculative (linguistically articulated) social constructs - at best.
