201  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Time between high to low when the bubble bursted in April on: November 09, 2013, 09:57:58 AM
How did the exchange websites reacted with the huge incoming traffic from panic sell ?

MtGox had some problems, it took many hours before your BTC could be sold at unknown low price

Do not expect you will be able to sell immediately your BTC when crash starts

203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking to buy a computer just for bitcoin mining on: November 09, 2013, 09:35:36 AM
Hello Everyone,
I have attempted to research what computer specs are required in order to be able to mine bitcoin effectively without crashing my computer.
Could someone please advise me what is the recommended processing speed or computer specs that that are required to be able to dedicate one whole computer to mine bitcoin?
Thank you,
Andrei

If you mean host computer for ASIC unit, all you need is Raspberry Pi
204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think BTC will hit $200? on: November 09, 2013, 09:30:32 AM
now it is at 367$ ... wow! 2-3 days ago it was at 300$

This I call bubble, might be $500 next week  Shocked

The only question how low the price crashes...
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi Dead? on: November 03, 2013, 05:47:48 PM
I dont believe Satoshi is one person.

Who would not spend at least some coins now when you have so many?

206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who got first Bitcoins? on: November 03, 2013, 05:41:47 PM
Satoshi mined the first 1 million bitcoins but he never used them.
May be he is already dead and the coins are lost with the private keys or may be he is waiting until one BTC is one tousand USD worth.
Or maybe he lost the private keys and not remember where he save it. Haha

It migh be NSA project, they dont need money.

I mean Satoshi = NSA
207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i need bitcoin on: November 03, 2013, 05:38:13 PM
I recommend using localbitcoins as well, especially if you need them quickly.
Yup , it the safest way to buy bitcoins

Safest is bitstamp in my opinion. And localbitcoins, well you pay well over the spot price
208  Other / Off-topic / Re: Paypal canceled my account and holding all my funds because I was selling miners on: October 27, 2013, 03:10:07 PM
Seems if noone chargeback in the next 180 days, you will be able to withdraw your remaining funds.

I recommend wait 180 days, withdraw your remaining funds and never use paypal anymore
209  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: October 27, 2013, 02:55:32 PM
This might not count as a video game, but does anybody like Bitcoin gambling games? Dice games are always fun at the end of a long day Grin

I believe it counts. Most time you give BTC out as you would by buying a game, but here you can get lucky and get more BTC (once in a while)

210  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What did you do with your coin ? on: October 20, 2013, 11:10:57 PM
I only betting, buying some USB miners or just holding for future. For anything else I just use fiat
211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: October 20, 2013, 11:06:30 PM
What do you guys think of this latest rally? Are we going to blast right through $200 after this consolidation, or are we going to see dumps soon, bringing us back to pre-parabolic levels?

There is another possibility, a bit stable price, at least for few weeks. I believe eighter this or quick rise followed by crash.

Watch out, don't order it if it is too suspicious. I would recommend you wait for future ASIC miners which have a better chance of ROI.

What would be the right price and timing for ROI?  If a 2TB miner comes out for $500 next year and typically ASIC makers will sell preorders to reap the profits first because they know the risk-takers will bite.

Then the machines flood the mining pool and the next batch orders becomes useless.  It keeps going on and on.

Your right, preordering is very risky because

- your delivery date is not guaranteed
- you dont now how many units are preordered

thus you have no idea of difficulty when you finnally receive your miner, thus making profitability calculations tough hen deciding about preordering

BF4 beta sucks.  Just gonna throw that out there...
Gotta agree on this one. It just looks like BF3 and the gameplay feels the same. The difference is that BF4 is raping my computer while BF3 attempts rape and (thankfully) fails. Grin

You need to upgrade your comp then. BF4 looks great.
217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: invest in bitcoins? on: October 11, 2013, 08:46:22 PM
Bitcoin is relatively volatile and risky in terms of investments.  If you want to used bitcoins as an investment i would suggest buying and holding them as an investment at just-dice (or somewhere similar) where you would earn some interest.  Though be very careful about where you hold your bitcoins if they are not just sitting in your wallet (and sometimes if they are......), get an understanding of the terms and conditions and know that the government has the power to tear down web domains and freeze company bank accounts in the name of justice if it deems something to be non-compliant.  I would be especially wary of bitcoin securities any complex investment schemes.  If you want a safer investment, try physical silver bullion, price is rather cheap right now.

Holding them on just-dice is like gambling yourself for a long time with the 1% house edge on your side.

There is also possibility someone will steal site BTC, or the owner  will steal it. Too risky in my opinion
