241  Other / Off-topic / Re: Soon we would not need banks on: August 28, 2018, 07:28:40 AM
The Ceo of Bitcoin cash recently stated that soon people wouldn't be needing banks anymore.Does it mean the world is going crypto soon or he is just bluffing.

this is just a joke, if that's true what the world will be like. can't you see the reality that happened?
that we will always need banking even though crypto is a more promising business. interesting fact, that each country has fiat currency and is protected by law. so, I think that is nonsense
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is dangerous.... on: August 27, 2018, 09:54:22 AM
Hello everyone, Today i'd like to share my story.
So in 2017 in sept, I first mined some electroneum coins and they were worth like $200 later, I as a student couldn't afford to buy Bitcoins for trading or holding, So mining did helped me ETN was a good coin, i would mine like 50 a day and it turned 20cents each, I got addicted to crypto and trading but i was scared to trade and lose those 200$ because then i'd have nothing, So from Sept to Nov, i'd just watch graphs and look at coins, Watch videos, try to learn trading and everything and in December i started trading and you guys know what happened at December 2017, But i was prepared so my $200 turned into like $150, still a loss but anyway.
But it went like this and i kept trading and everything, and i was in love with it...... Sadly in my Exams, I failed 3 papers in total 5... Because of Crypto, it takes you away from Real world, So i was disapointed because of it.
Now i trade carelessly without emotions, and i went above $200.. I saw many times and now experience told me its true that trading is 10% skills, 10% luck, 10% patience and 70% emotions....

good luck and enjoy your lives and don't ruin anything.

Edit: I still have high hopes from Crypto and i think this will change my life and i'll be not worrying about Studies later, But like people say "Don't put everything in one Basket" , so always have a backup. Study is my first priority and Bitcoin can be my side struggle and with luck and hard work, i might not have to worry about studies then.

and you are a silly person, yes you should choose to learn and seek knowledge before being truly involved in this industry, and when your brain is possessed by money, your job as a student is not completed. the danger is not crypto but your mind.
243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the end of Bitcoin ? on: August 27, 2018, 09:50:18 AM
I have seen the crypto market for last 1 year and the last 6 months are not so good for BTC and Alts.
The total market cap is going down and price of BTC is pumping and dumping again and again.
What should we do now hold or take a exit and wait for more drop ?

don't you see bitcoin still has a very expensive price, only in a few months have you said that this is the end of bitcoin? doesn't this look FUD? or is your knowledge limited?
I think bitcoin has been running for more than a decade, until now growth has always occurred despite its temporary nature. but thus shows that this is not the end of everything.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin continue to fall this year? on: August 26, 2018, 11:13:54 AM
Will Bitcoin continue to fall this year?  After the $18,000+ rise, bitcoin has not yet recovered from the great fall. Will it continue to go lower and lower? Or do we have hope that it will hit high this year?
What do you think fellas?

I hope not, but we will never know what will happen next month. Current market patterns are not stable, especially in any growth that tends to be only temporary, but we can see that bitcoin tends to be stable. this can be a good option in trading.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever stop depending on fiat currency? on: August 25, 2018, 02:36:09 PM
Bitcoin doesn't actually "depend" on fiat money. It's price and value is measured in fiat money (USD and euro),but that doesn't mean that btc depends on those currencies.Bitcoin depends on the banks and the financial system, because most people ,who buy btc for the first time use credit/debit cards.

this is true, I agree what you say. I think this is good for the knowledge and insight of OP for assessment on bitcoin.
and I think, crypto will not be the world currency, because after all each country has fiat currency that has been protected by law.

yes the current market trend is more on the decline, it has not been a big change for half a year and tends to decrease, this makes many people panic like you for example. this is if you do not have other knowledge about trade and investment, there can actually be other options to reduce losses or gain a little profit.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can you do with Bitcoins but can't do with Dollars? on: August 21, 2018, 09:22:06 AM
What can you do with Bitcoins but can't do with Dollars?

I think you are making it too difficult for you, of course bitcoin has other advantages over fiat currency, the main example is in terms of investment returns. this can be a difference that can't be done with dollars as you say. this is simple
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold?? on: August 21, 2018, 09:20:35 AM
After reading a lot of posts made by people on this forum, I realized about 75% of them see Bitcoin as a digital Gold. For me, I don't think Bitcoin is a digital gold. Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin to be precise, was developed to be a safer option for transaction of goods and services and also the best mode of payment. Bitcoin was introduced to disable all the restrictions that banks and the financial system presented. A lot of people have lost huge sums of money because they saw bitcoin as a digital gold. I know others will argue that bitcoin has also made people rich but for me, I don't think it is advisable to consider Bitcoin as a digital gold. Bitcoin is a digital currency.

it's up to you to want bitcoin as you want. everyone has different perceptions and different goals, in this industry bitcoin is more likely to be a trading center for all crypto and investment.
249  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit $60k in 2019? on: August 20, 2018, 02:12:53 PM

https://cryptodaily.co.uk/2018/08/why-bitcoin-btc-might-still-hit-60000-by-july-2019/

According to this article Bitcoin might hit $60,000 mid 2019. Do you think this will take place?

each forecast will not be proven and accurate for sure. especially if we look at and compare for now, in fact the current market is more of a pattern of decline. I believe and conclude similar things that will happen in early 2019, but I can't target bitcoin will grow to 60k.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is independent? or depends on fiat currency on: August 20, 2018, 02:07:54 PM
Bitcoin was created to provide independence from Government control to the users.  But I think it is not so independent.

It depends on fiat currency especially the Dollar for it's valuation.

My question is ; we are measuring it's value in dollars.  So is not it true that Bitcoin is dependent on fiat currency for it's existence?

Please share whatever views you are having.

Kindly correct me if I am wrong.

bitcoin has a fluctuating nature which in other words will not be regulated by the state, so because this is why bitcoin is not based on the money stock exchange and has no effect with fiat money as you conclude. bitcoin growth is due to limited supply and market needs between buyers and sellers.
251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get free bitcoin? Is it realy work? on: August 18, 2018, 03:29:50 PM
Hi, guys! I meet a lot of information about how to get free bitcoins. Like here https://bitcoinbestbuy.com/how-get-free-bitcoins/. It`s tell about a lots of ways of getting free btc. Can you tell me, this is realy work, or it`s a fake?

yes, some sites can be free bitcoin searches. but it will take time and of course the results are not as good as if you try to invest or trade. so my advice, you should look for knowledge and insight in this forum by exploring each thread so you can do as you wish.
252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where should I keep my bitcoins? on: August 17, 2018, 01:43:06 PM
I am confused on how cold wallets and hot wallets differ. To make any transaction we still need to get access to internet. Then how are they different?
Being connected to the internet makes the wallet hot and every wallet needs to connect to the internet for any transactions.

actually this is easy, you can buy hardware as a long investment wallet choice. or other wallets are all safe too. security level I think you have to create it especially to avoid such hacking phishing due to self-neglect. or you can look for other recommendations that friends make during this discussion.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Sri Lanka on: August 16, 2018, 01:47:38 PM
Last past months Sri Lanka's Main Bank (Bank of Ceylon) was banned cryptocurrencies in Sri Lanka. What do you think is the reason for that ? Huh

I think the ban on small countries like Sri Lanka will not have a big influence, especially on the market, I think the cause of the ban is a classic reason that is not different from other Asian countries.
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN is useless!? on: August 15, 2018, 09:43:49 AM
Bitcoin hedead to zero?
The former ceo of paypal Bill harris said that, bitcoin's value will continue to dwindle until it gets "eventually a whole lot closer to zero."and saying that there's just no value in bitcoin and "Bitcoin makes no revenue, no profitability."
he also called the cryptocurrency is a
"colossal pump-and-dump scheme, the likes of which the world has never seen."
I think this is non-sense, what about you?

Source: cnbc

you only aim to create FUD so that many members here are increasingly afraid, I am not surprised by things like this and especially you do not put links to as the main news source.

I think the reason is classic, bitcoin is a bubble. this reason is very classic in every ban in a country, but I believe Sri Lanka has no major influence on the virutal currency. so there are no effects that will affect crypto trading.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Cryptocurrency Stand Without Bitcoin? on: August 09, 2018, 02:09:21 PM
I mean Why bitcoin? Why waste huge energy in mining. As everyone know bitcoin is useless in terms
of usability.
My question to bitcointalk users :

Is this possible that any altcoin become no 1 on coinmarketcap and bitcoin disappeare

I think this can be possible, what you think so comment below...

Of course, but it's almost near impossible, because the fact is that cryptocurrency is always bound by bitcoin. so, maybe in the future we will see some altcoins that really can compete with bitcoin. it's just that we will never know when.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be used as a donation to the church on: August 08, 2018, 08:28:19 AM
I agree to used bitcoin as a donation for some reasons.

1. People who give great help to the church are becoming increasingly anonymous.

2. It is easier to monitor the entire proceeds and avoid suspicion of having a claim.

3. The transaction is faster and less expensive

This is just my opinion.

#Datarius

whatever it is if it is to be used as a transaction as long as there is a party that uses it, it will be very useful, especially in terms of donations for places of worship. not how much anonymous importance is about giving. but its function can be as an alternative tool in every transaction. that's what I think
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking will still be significant until cryptocurrencies can "stand on their own on: August 08, 2018, 08:26:06 AM
for the moment the Bank is still standing upright, then how is the continuation of the bank if Crypto already stand alone and in the public know so that in use fully and all countries wear it. is there going to be a temporary panic in the financial world? .... and all the banks in every country collapse is that what will happen hopefully there is no market panic

what you assume will never happen. The cryptocurrency will never beat fiat currencies for as long as the country is not involved and adopts cryptocurrency as an authorized currency.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do the bitcoin dump is affecting the price of altcoins on: August 07, 2018, 08:16:47 AM
If Bitcoin will dump more down in future than what will to other Altcoins it will also dump or bull high?

yes, that's what happened. that is a fact
but I don't think it's possible if bitcoin will be discarded in the future, market cycles always have buyers and sellers. before there is an altcoin that can be a counterweight to bitcoin the market will always be bound by the development or decline of bitcoin.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH, Dash and Ripple which to invest in? on: August 07, 2018, 08:10:37 AM
ETH, Dash and Ripple which to invest in,
Which has more potential and make a good profit?

for now ? it is very unlikely, I think ethereum and ripples are a good choice for now in the purchase of large quantities. but in the growth phase you will need time, so it's better and holds it for next year.
