When you increase the barrier for entry you block out someone that could have had the answer for all your problems. I would rarely buy an asic outside of batch 1.
The only ones I have ever is the LTC and BTC Asics but that's because even if I break even on those and I have by far since they are over a year old, I just want to mine that coin and accumulate it.

yep mine mining at 16.2 - 16.5 k Sols for the past 24 hours like a champ. I'm still a GPU guy, about a 90% to 10% ASIC but damn this thing. I have a 7 card titan XP that cost me 9400$ plus 5x the power and this whore crushes it. I have a 7 Card 1080Ti that cost me about 6000$ and its fubar too. Bitter sweet for sure ROFL |
