601  Economy / Speculation / Re: We leave 500. Target 200. Trade recommendation. on: August 31, 2014, 08:43:49 AM
In my opinion, there will be another dip and possibly a real despair phase this time around. I don't know if we we'll go as low as 200 to me it seems a bit exaggerated, but the area around there is on my radar aswell. I am almost certain we will see sub 400$ in the next few weeks and possibly 350$ so I spent a bit in the last month.
602  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is there a microchip implant in your future? on: August 31, 2014, 08:04:45 AM
Of course there is, and I welcome it. There won't be any privacy left anyway once Internet reach is final stage, which will happen in this decade thanks to what is being done by not only corporations but even npos, and will bring us to be connected 24/7. Our real and cybernetic idendities will be indissoluble: to be, you will have to be on the Internet and be identifiable at all times.
This is not the same as saying I welcome a dystopian future, which I don't think is at all the case, even with all negative things we're seeing today, because there are much more good things happening, they just don't get as much coverage as bad things. Once automation will free us from unnecessary labour and professions (which our society is full of) and renewable energies will give us independence, we will see a huge leap in how we conceive humanity and the time we have. We really focus our existences on work and receiving rewards, but I think we're on the verge on another humanism/illuminism era. If you think I am too optimist, just take a look at how much things we're discovering these last 5 years and look at the rate research is growing, it's much more then just exponential. But we are just entering this transition time and it indeed could be really problematic mostly because our institutions and politics are still based on immutable paradigms which were ok 20/50 years ago, but now we need something much more dynamic.
603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safe but anonymous exchange ? on: August 29, 2014, 10:51:07 AM
Localbitcoin may be your only option. "Know your customer" it's a must for every exchange if they don't want to risk being prosecuted for money laundering.
604  Local / Trading, analisi e speculazione / Re: LTC-CNY P A Z Z E S C O ! ! ! on: August 28, 2014, 03:49:00 PM
605  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Robots to teach in Abu Dhabi school on: August 28, 2014, 03:34:56 PM
That's going to be a shitty way to be brought up in a school, it will definitely cause all sorts of problems, that said at least it will make it easier for kids to take over the classrooms so they can have some freedom in their lives since the robot won't be able to handle them lol Cheesy

I assure you human teachers can cause problems to children aswell. Don't tell me you never heard of abuses in your school from professors. You fear people of tomorrow will be less social because of this shift? I can't say that's for sure, but at least they won't be traumatized.
606  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Robots to teach in Abu Dhabi school on: August 28, 2014, 08:55:13 AM
Well things like this were science fiction until five years ago or so, but technology is moving faster than most people expected and this will bring so much confusion and problems into their lives.
I want to recommend this book, which is really interesting and gives you a whole different perspective on this topic (well, people on Bitcoin should already have a similar opinion):

607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin slowly losing its popularity? on: August 27, 2014, 10:17:44 AM

All good points but kinda obvious for whoever is following bitcoin closely. There's a good chance that there's a big manipulation going on and that it is stenghtened by this unloading of old coins thanks to this new wave of merchants, some of them even offer huge deals once cannot just lose like the recent one from newegg. Smiley
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US consumer protection bureau offers advice on Bitcoin on: August 27, 2014, 09:32:59 AM
Well, first it was from banks, now it's from the government. A big step and there's nothing wrong with it, in fact this was to be expected since they have no control over it and everything they can do is to be sure they cannot be blamed if something happens to citizens money, it's like they can wash their hands and give people some freedom about dealing with it.
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Amazon buy Blockchain.info till 2016? on: August 27, 2014, 01:50:19 AM
It could be a great strategic move to start endorsing it with top professionalism.
100% not going to happen, it is not part of the amazon profit plan and owning blockchain.info won't bring them profits.

Kinda like buying Twitch just to upset Google?
610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today's Bitcoin price, a year ago on: August 25, 2014, 05:11:36 PM
This unexpected period of stability is really interesting and bullish imho. Very few financial advisors would have placed a bet on Bitcoin a year ago, but now it does seem capable of keeping its value. I don't think we really need a catalyst for the next bubble to happen (even if we already have one and it's the etfs going online on q4) but rather just some more time without lower lows.
611  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Fisco / Tasse / Legge sul Bitcoin on: August 24, 2014, 05:46:50 PM
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are girls using Bitcoins? on: August 23, 2014, 05:16:11 AM
I know more women than men that use Bitcoin, but they are mostly highly educated. They are not really interested in it, but they recognise its potential. They use it to receive and send international payments. One is a camgirl, but she asks Bitcoin just with people who want videos and pics of her and such, so things outside the site she is on for shows.
Men on the other hand are mostly interested in the financial side of btc, and the earnings it can bring to them as an asset.
613  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 23, 2014, 05:07:59 AM
Don't you think this "rounds of questions" are getting a bit annoying? I mean, it's ok to ask for informations and you should as a shareholder, but every week it's the same story. If you don't feel comfortable with the amount of shares you have, so much that you constantly worry about the price, you should have invested less.
614  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 22, 2014, 06:31:07 AM
People are waiting to see what will happen in q4 with the etf going online, if it's really gonna be there. Anyway I don't think there's a bearish sentiment, it seems like there's no sentiment at all and uncertainity is driving the market. With the recent drop caused by margin calls we didn't even go down as much as expected. Anyway volume is going up and there probably gonna be some mild move before the month ends.
615  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin taxes in the US on: August 21, 2014, 05:15:12 AM
Maybe here you can find some help, surely something more adequate than a simple answer on a forum.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1uccfz/i_am_a_tax_attorney_here_are_my_answers_to_the/  #10 #14 are what you're probably looking for.

But remember to always talk to your accountant before doing something.
616  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 20, 2014, 03:50:02 PM
At least we got some volume lately, if this continues the market will have to decide which way to go. The margin call despair may be over, but everyone should still exercise caution.
617  Economy / Securities / Re: AM Self-mining on: August 19, 2014, 04:24:33 PM
P2Pool would be the best and safest bet for the network, but maybe not for their earnings. As a small shareholder I wouldn't mind to lose some profits to see the network strenghtened by a legit company, but I'd understand otherwise. As already mentioned anyway the total hashing power is the first thing we should know before discussing the matter.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hash Rate just hit 200 000 000 GH/s! on: August 19, 2014, 07:54:57 AM
I guess chinese miners are both contributing to the decreasing btc price and the increase of hashing power. They can produce cheap chips (Cheesy) and some areas have very low electricity costs so they are squeezing everything they can from the market while reducing profits for other parties with older gen miners who I think right now are still mining just because they understand what's going on and they know that quitting mining now is worse than waiting since new hardware is coming to the market and they will be cutted out for good. Others may be long-term holders but that's a game that doesn't really make sense in mining.
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia and China vs Bitcoin on: August 18, 2014, 08:39:45 AM
They already did ban bitcoin.

So making it official should not have any impact on the price.

Russia recently softened its stance towards Bitcoin and they are thinking how to regulate it effectively. China didn't ban Bitcoin, they just prohibited its use to banks and exchanges can't deal with banks. Some workaround were found by Btc China that is accepting cash deposits through faucets if I'm not mistaken. Honk Kong right now seems to be the hub of innovation in China regarding cryptocurrencies and its probably from there that ideas for definitve regulations will come. I don't expect China to ban Bitcoin at all, they can easily become the leaders of mining chips production.
620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Incredible Digital Currencies Course by the University of Nicosia - MOOC on: August 18, 2014, 08:34:17 AM
I'm glad to see the Neo&Bee scam didn't affect the decision of the university to go on with the course for another year and that they understanded the great impact Bitcoin can have in Cyprus. The population probably already forgot what happened.
