Be carefull when tighten or loosen the terminal screw since there is 1 capacitor closed.

Why is the 12v+ blue in this picture, shouldn't it be yellow?  Huh
742  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Technobit 40 GH/s HEX16B(Bitfury ) 462.00 EUR now shipping on: December 10, 2013, 03:05:48 PM
Marto,

Any shipping update on the orders placed in Nov for the Hex16bs? Orders RHUKXBYOC & FUCZJQEEC, still just lists as payment accepted. I want to order more while they are available but I want to get the ones I ordered first.

Thanks,

Yeah we're all in the same boat, waiting for our November orders to arrive, so we know Marto is the real deal, before buying more.
When mine arrive I'll post pics here so people know if this is all genuine. A bit scary the PayPal was pulled, but if this is a scam it's the best damn executed one I've ever seen!  Tongue
743  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin a currency, a stock, or both? on: December 10, 2013, 03:17:00 AM
Yes both,

while you can spend BTC holding on to it while in the early stages is like having a stock in a global transaction system and it's value will increase as more people start to accept it for tansactions and the market figures out it's real value.

Scrypt requires high speed access to memory so I'm gonna say this is bull until there is some evidence it works.  Wink

Good, will make plan to go there then.

Black Arrow LTD, 90 Jaffe Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong.

Got it, Will try  Grin

I did not end up visiting their HK office (Im pretty sure its just a office), but visited their main SZ facilities.

How was it? Any Pictures?

Yes that should be enough and it uses cgminer. No worries you will not regret

Thanks guys - so when I get this TP Link router thing, does it connect into my miner then both these gets connected to my PSU?

It is working as a lower power computer running cgminer on linux.
It can be powered by the mains (like a USB phone charger) or a powered USB hub.
Connect it to the miners via a USB hub. Then connect it to your Internet router via a network cable (you may need to connect to your PC one time to set the correct IP/subnet/gateway if it's different than the default).

This is a very angry, accusatory, suspicious community.

Yeah, kinda went that way after we went down the FPGA/ASIC rabbit hole.

The Litecoin community is how the Bitcoin community used to be everyone was happy and care free. Cheesy
748  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow announces 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.49/Ghash on: December 09, 2013, 06:21:58 PM
This is an image of a 22nm FPGA dev kit, excuse my ignorance, but how does that get us to a 28nm ASIC?
http://www.achronix.com/products/speedster22ihd.html

If we should not test our front end on FPGA, would you be so kind and teach us how to make an ASIC?

Just thought you'd develop a 28nm ASIC on a 28nm dev board.

I was kinda hoping you would say "Bobsag3 has let the cat out of the bag, we're really working on a 22nm ASIC to match KnC".  Wink
749  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow announces 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.49/Ghash on: December 09, 2013, 06:06:52 PM
by going into business with someone from China I'd certainly want to see their accounts.

Are you really serious? You want us to show you our accounts for your X1 preorder?

I was talking about if I was Bobsag3 that would have been part of my due diligence, he will end up with the legal hassel on the US side, if this goes sour after all.

The future is always further away than it seems, just keep mining with what you've got.  Wink

So nothing of the 28nm tech other than a FPGA simulator?

What else would you expect? Its pretty public that the chip is still in development, and that they wont have the chips until Jan/Feb.

Wishful thinking on my part then Smiley Thanks for the pics

bASIC built nice FPGAs but couldn't deliver an ASIC, so being Devils advocate here...
you could scam a pre-order by using customer funds to build/buy equipment to mine Bitcoins on until they demand a refund with hosting as a cover.
Did you check the company accounts to see where the customer funds are and if they really do have 70% of $5m needed to create an ASIC?
If I was putting my neck on the line, with US authorities, by going into business with someone from China I'd certainly want to see their accounts.
Thanks for the pics, and good luck everyone.

p.s. hosting ASICs will one day be the death of Bitcoin, it's not a decentralized network!

Yeah the two previous posters are correct.

If you did want to game you could using one card while the other three keep mining.

I just noticed on..

..someone change 50BTC's PPS fee to "100%" and reward type to "Kept by the pool"

ha!  Grin

755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China didn't outlaw LTC on: December 07, 2013, 09:39:01 PM
China didn't outlaw Bitcoin either.

What they said is no different to the policy in the United Kingdom.
The banks will do everything in their power to stop the conversion of fiat into Bitcoins.

This is why the UK has no exchange, they close down the bank account of everyone who tries to convert it, under the guise of money laundering.

The most adoptive country is the USA. They have an exchange, coinbase, and law enforcement who take Bitcoin theft seriously...

“Fraudsters are not beyond the reach of the SEC just because they use Bitcoin or another virtual currency to mislead investors and violate the federal securities laws,”

Still I mine Litecoins too just in case. Grin

im sorry but since im a newbie i dont know what you mean by #

When you reply there are some icons above the text box. It's the one with # = Insert Code
It's so you can type stuff, like programming code, without it being it being effected by the forum format like strikethrough.

I typed = strikethrough

Code:
I typed [S] = strikethrough

Just sell something and say "accepting Bitcoins"
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: --scrypt slowing my hash rate on: December 07, 2013, 03:45:03 PM
Sorry about the lines through the text, don't know why it did that

Because you didn't use the # Insert Code marker around the text.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: --scrypt slowing my hash rate on: December 07, 2013, 03:43:54 PM
--scrypt is for making litecoins it's a different algorithm it's normal that you get a lower hash speed with it.
760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and worthless fiat money - really puzzled on: December 07, 2013, 04:06:10 AM

It appears the banks share your concern for the loss of their business. It's no different in the UK, banks will not touch Bitcoin transactions.

It's no different to the publishing industry ignoring HTML or the music industry ignoring MP3.

It's going to happen, and it's going to shake up the old market models.
