the identifier can also be your account name, so maybe you used a name like I do casperorchids, it happened to me, but they couldn't get past the password

I'm at 8 and a half hours and after today I'm about as dumbfounded as when I started, lol, not really. For sure a bit of profit taking from those in a long long time and I'm afraid to say, a bit of trickery as Mt Gox seemed to be stuck at 52 minutes or more most of the day  Huh

this is from bitcoinity.org, usually a nice little real-time trade update, today it lagged, I'm assuming like MtGox for a large portion of the sell off, whatever happened. This must have been between 3 and 4 EST So maybe between 2 and 3 counting the lag. I saw a bunch of fairly high, above average trades go through right before this, maybe a few hundred a few times at the lower 107 level, Something just doesn't seem right here, would love to see the graph, but Bitcoinity.org is down right now and we should all know MtGox has some pretty terrible graphs, just thought Id share this

if you see an ip 94 something in there, that's mine, I resecured the wallet and fortunately I had no BTC in there when they went into it. Just wondering how they got into it in the first place, I think they got in my email to get the passcode that is generated anytime somebody attempts a login

8  Other / Beginners & Help / break in attempt to my blockchain wallet on: April 09, 2013, 04:20:05 PM
I had an email with my wallet confirmation code sent to me saying an attempt to login to my wallet account from I.P. address 95.211.6.197. has been made, whoever did it took off the wallet confirmation code part so now all they would need is the password. So I would thing they have my password. Is there any way to see what this I.P. address is?

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to do wallet rescan? on: April 09, 2013, 03:11:55 PM
I have the same problem, I have 0 connections to the Bitcoin Network, this is what it says at the bottom right. Have you downloaded the blockchain previously? I never made it that far
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet Synchronization problems on: April 09, 2013, 09:07:15 AM
it has one called resident shield and I turned it off, it also has anti virus, anti spyware, anti-root-kit, email scanner, but all these were set when it worked before~just don't think it has anything to do with this. If I put it on a disk and transfer it to a quicker computer, the one upstairs, will that help, these are all wireless, but it worked before, slowly, but it at least worked towards synching it~

The main computer is my fathers, three other ones are all connected wireless, I only have the wallet on one of these
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet Synchronization problems on: April 09, 2013, 08:51:29 AM
it says do to an unidentified problem windows cannot display windows firewall settings
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet Synchronization problems on: April 09, 2013, 08:29:15 AM
it still won't connect. My friend is a little girl so i doubt she knew anything about firewalls. I did take down the shield from the avg anti-virus free edition used on the computer. What other solutions can I attempt? nd I did encrypt the wallet, but not yet backed it up. It loads fine, it just has 0 connection where as before it had I think 6
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The 51% attack could already happen on: April 09, 2013, 05:44:29 AM
I think an overaggressive Government might try it as a last resort to save the fiat, but by then wouldn't over 50% of the overall bitcoin already be spread out too thin? I might not understand all of this, but isn't nearly 11 million Bitcoin already recovered, so aren't those bitcoins in peoples wallets and at Mt Gox?

Please somebody help me retrieve my bitcoin, please... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=171037.0 Nobody seems to want to take the time to answer my post
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Wallet Synchronization problems on: April 09, 2013, 04:32:48 AM
I downloaded a wallet from Bitcoin.org http://bitcoin.org/en/download and I didn't realize it had to synch before I sent some BTC to it. It began to synch but it slowed way down (my wireless connect speed is 65 Mbps) so I let it run overnight and it only completed approx. 75%. By then it had slowed to a crawl.

Well, I had to disengage the process and when I started it up later it began to run again at not to bad a rate but somebody else needed to use the computer and they kept clicking it off and now when I download my wallet, it won't synch at all. On the bottom right it says 0 connection to bitcoin network.

It also says out of sych on recent transaction and when I mouse over it says this process has not completed yet. I've gone back and checked the transaction details back at the wallet I sen it from and it says not yet received.

How can I "jumpstart" this process? Can I download my wallet onto a disc and install it onto another computer with a faster connection? I heard of a disc that runs the blockchain for you, but then it still needs to catch up, will that work?

Any help would be appreciated, this has been bothering me since last Wednesday night, I know I should have waited for it to install the blockchain fully, but I didn't realize at the time that it had to do that.

Thanks for your help
16  Other / Beginners & Help / bitcoin client synch on: April 04, 2013, 03:21:09 PM
Ok, I wanted to save my btc offline so somebody sent me a link to the bitcoinclient, so I ran it and downloaded it and it gave me my wallet, so I went to another wallet and sent them to my new offline wallet. Only thing I didn't realize I had to wait for it to synch. Now it's ok, once it synchs it'll join up, right? the transition page says not received yet.

But now the synch is taking forever, it slowed way way down 52,244 left and it started out doing like 5 blocks a second, but now is taking like 10 seconds per block, what can I do?

If I don't let this run through unstopped, will I lose my BTC? Next, how do I find my wallet on my computer? this is what is installed~~~ http://bitcoin.org/en/download

I am sitting watching my wallet, I have my wallet ### right there, I sent BTC to that wallet, I see in the transaction it says it hasn't been received yet.

I'm assuming my wallet is under downloads, can I stop the synch, download it later and finish, maybe reboot my computer because my tabs are real slow too, I shut all tabs off except this one now.

when I go to downloads I see a zip 0.8 and a coin 0.8 when I open the coin it wants me to run it again, that isn't my new wallet is it? when I hit the other, the zipped it has bitcoin 0.8.1-wins 32 and when I open that I have daemon, src, bitcoin-qt, copying, and read me. Are any of these my wallet/

is the only thing I can do is wait for the synch? what happens if I shut down the synch, will the coins go back to where it came from?

Thanks for any help, I can't talk to these guys on twitter casue the one keeps saying lucky you moved it from instawallet and the other doesn't know and I haven't the room to explain.

I had a blockchain account, but after what happened at instawallet, I decided I had to go offline, wih I had just put it at blockchain and took more time in moving it but I[posted here before as to being a complete idiot as to doing any of this stuff and I would need an actual step by step and nobody responded.

Maybe I can have some help since I have 326 bitcoins floating in cyberspace, lol Wink Actually just 1.3 but it's all I have and I have no job~~~~
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOWTO: create a 100% secure wallet on: March 30, 2013, 02:26:48 PM
what do I do if I don't know what wallet.dat is or where to store my stuff before I download it on my live cd or how to even install that/understand any of this at all? I just want to protect my 1.5 BTC so when all the dust clears, I may be set for the rest of my life.

I could find the ubando sp check and bitcoin.org and my father has a nice computer with discs, can I put them on a disk, I haven't any usb I can learn fast, it's just all this talk is over my knowledge and I'd be afraid to screw it up and lose what I have. I don't have a job and no $ to buy any more since the gov took my tax return over some foodstamps that they say they made a mistake on.

I really don't expect an answer because I need an actual step by step by step, shit

If I do figure this out, can I use tor so in case somebody checks everywhere I went they wouldn't be able to prove I still had any at all. That I spent it or lost it or just play dum, which isn't hard~~lol. I have my stuff at blockchain
