42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 17, 2014, 04:32:06 PM
And an official update...

https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-94

Neptune In Assembly.

We’re pleased to announce touch-down of the first batch of our new 20 nanometer Neptune processors. They are now going through the testing/tweaking/assembly stage in Sweden and shipping will commence this week.

A World First 20-Nanometer Design
The Neptune is a formidable technological achievement. It is the first commercially available 20 nanometer processor shipped to end users. KnCMiner can take pride in beating all competitors to the 20nm stage, including the likes of Intel, Apple and Samsung.

The Neptune is a 1440-core 55x55 mm package tailor-made for the Bitcoin market. Each Neptune consists of 5 chips and comes in new sturdier enclosure and packacing. Using the speed offered by a true 20nm die process each Neptune churns out more than 3 TH/s while consuming only 2.1 KW at the wall. That works out to 0,7 watts per GH/s or less.

However, there are margins built into our design and the software running our chips can only improve from today on. All future software updates to raise the hashing speed will be free of charge.

Software Updates
We've reached our initial targets on speed and power consumption. But as this is the first day we’ve had the Neptune in our lab our technicians have already implemented a few tricks to increase hashing speed and we’ll release updates to our firmware shortly.

The first two batches of the Neptune miner is all sold-out. Batch three is available for pre-order now in our web shop. Watch this space for more info on upcoming products based on our new state-of-the-art 20nm design process.

We expect to ship to Batch 1 pre-order customers this week and to Batch 2 pre-order customers before the end of the month.

I was looking int purchasing some of these a while ago. Is it worth still buying from KNCMiner in the next batches after all the commotion that is occurring?
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sgminer - new unified multi-algorithm on-the-fly kernel switching miner on: June 17, 2014, 04:26:19 PM
I will try this sgMiner. Didn't know a new one was released.

Ill report back to you with my problems, if any.

So whats your objective about getting listed on exchanges? Also what exchange are you going to try to get on first?

I would suggest try Bittrex first then build your way to Cryptsy.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: split my btc do different addressess on: June 17, 2014, 04:19:43 PM
I think if the 100 addresses are all in 1 wallet.dat file, then it will show up as the total amount of btc on the client.

However, if you were to have 100 wallet.dat files, then each one has their own balance.

I don't know for sure, but thats what I think.

Merchants is what we need

It'd be dope if a dispensary could pick us up

Since your username is smoke weed every day I have to assume you smoke weed & most likely you buy from dispensaries since everyone in California hates mexican weed lol you should let the owners know next time you pick up some pot about a new altcoin called CAC

We need some news media attention we need a bigger online presence if we want to make it in this competitive world.

+1 lets just contact local news fuck it all we gotta do is write 1 article and copy + paste it to several e-mail addys flood this shit let's get known  Grin Grin Grin

We should compile emails on google docs to send information about the coin. Maybe even contact some newspapers in california to see if someone would write something in a column for them.
Since I don't live in Cali, I don't know what papers to contact:/
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: FBI seized coins sold = bitcoin legal in USA? on: June 16, 2014, 09:59:55 PM
Maybe USA will now realise that their economy is not as good as BTC and should adopt BTC and make it perfectly legal to do whatever with it... within reason.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is the first question you would ask, if you met Satoshi Nakamoto? on: June 16, 2014, 09:57:31 PM
I would personally ask; Would you buy a pizza for 10,000 BTC?Cheesy

If he said no. I will then ask; Would you give me some BTC you have when you first mined (assuming he did).

If I'm VERY lucky, I could get some

LOL
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin | Air Drop |Trading On Swisscex.com/Market| MultiPool Soon on: June 16, 2014, 09:48:52 PM
I will be contacting a few people about getting this on their website.
If it doesn't get adopted, I will be opening my own store for mining equipment offering GPU's and many more items. This will accept CAC.

Also I have seen CAC buy for 10 satoshis earlier. Wasn't much but its the best its been so far.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin | Air Drop |Trading On Swisscex.com/Market| MultiPool Soon on: June 15, 2014, 11:58:25 AM
dead coin

yup super dead so send me all ur coins and move on
ok message me ill send my last 200

lmfao what a joke

I am a supporter of the coin, but Tbh, the coin is actually dead right now. No effort has been put into getting it listed places besides Swisscex. And even on there its only got a 0.002 BTC 24 hour market for CAC.

I hope it does resurrect, but it will only when its on more exchanges and theres a reason to buy CAC such as mining equipment can be bought or services.

I am starting a service:

Will accept CAC to program in PHP and Ruby/Ruby on Rails.

Trying to create a portfolio which will be good for my desired career in computer science. Depending on the complexity I will create.

Also the price will depend on the exchange rate on SwissCex into BTC

Do you have any experience coding SEO apps?

Hey, I have contacted you about coding some SEO apps.

Anyone else want to try this service? I am also accepting CAC for writing articles and proof reading.

we need a store in cali for purchasing goods Smiley
and another exchange like mint or bittrex Grin

yeah a merchant would be nice

We need someone to contact a vast majority of merchants. Try looking for little hardware stores since they would have an understanding of crypto-currency which means they might be in a better chance of accepting it.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin | *1st on SwissCex* | 10,350+ Votes on SwissCEX! on: June 12, 2014, 01:19:09 AM
1 satoshi... lol

lol that's how everything starts out look @ Dogecoin in december
Dogecoin was never at 1 satoshi, not even close. Starting at 1 satoshi is a bad sign.

Not to mention there's only 0.0001 BTC of buy orders at 1 satoshi, so you could argue that California Coin is actually worthless at this point. Too much of it was given out for free.

Yes, but DogeCoin has done nothing but fall from it's open...How far off is doge from it's .00000170 open? It's worth less then a third of what it opened at......DogeCoin was a Miners success at the gates open...but continues to fall...not much incentive to hold.....maybe it's just me but......I like my coins to grow in value....

The reason why doge coin is actually falling is because there's so much of it!
There's going to be less demand if there are lots of coins meaning that prices will go down.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin | Air Drop |Trading On Swisscex.com/Market| MultiPool Soon on: June 11, 2014, 08:15:57 PM
Every coin starts out as a failure you just have to know which one will be successful in the future

hey that's my quote!

Well, the more people that get on track will give a bigger community so CAC will get more popular. Bitcoin started with a group of people and then more people joined and become bigger. Same can happen here with this coin.
56  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I buy a USB miner? I get free electricity... on: June 10, 2014, 11:11:08 PM
I'm in a unique situation at the moment where I get free electricity since I live with my parents.

The cheapest USB miners I've seen go for about $20, maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less. I've noticed that there are two types - one type that runs at 330MHash/s and another type that runs at about 2.2GHash/s. I had the opportunity to snap up 6 of the latter types for $50 once but didn't take it. Now I definitely regret not buying those while I had the chance.

So anyway, at these prices and with free electricity, do you think it is worth attempting to mine Bitcoin and SHA-256 altcoins?

Or does electricity not really come into play since USB miners use so little anyway?

I was one in the same position but realised that it is not worth it and to save money for something better in the future which you could get immediately.
330mh/s or 2.2gh/s will not get you anything in return unless you wait a VERY long time of constant mining.

Save up the money you was gonna spend and make a x11 rig. I would say you'll get a better return with GPU's with it IMO.

Also, haha at your username. Its original
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin city? on: June 10, 2014, 11:04:04 PM
making a city purely for bitcoin (translation: bitcoin concentration camp)

we do not need a place to throw bitcoiners into, we need to get non bitcoiners EVERYWHERE to accept bitcoin.
bitcoin is not about centralisation

secondly the cost to make a city requires billions. the OP wants people to give him all your bitcoins. this is another funds grab for personal profit.

thirdly you do not need to build a city. you can easily and more cheaply, convert a current city to be bitcoin friendly. check out hull, new hampshire. etc.

everyone SHOULD NOT pay the OP a single bitcoin to either run off with the money, or to make a concentration camp. instead we should be making EVERYWHERE bitcoin friendly. that way we can have choices of destinations and freedom of movement.

Love the fact you said about a concentration camp haha.

Anyway it is really expensive. Also i don't think people would give OP a couple of billion $ worth of BTC.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin about to be 51%ed??? on: June 10, 2014, 10:52:27 PM
I doubt they would ruin the Bitcoin network with a 51% attack. CEX.io, who owns GHash would rather keep CEX.io open for an extra 10 years, etc... Since it would be more profitable than to suddenly run away with BTC gained from double spending.
That would be my opinion but cannot be guaranteed.

still trying to mine at Leet Huh I have everything set up properly it just wont let my join the stratum?  is there another pool?

If you guy's do this coin/community right I see huge potential, make sure you get the air drop to as many people as possible... so hit up all the herb dispensaries with flyers or business cards with some info about the coin and where to go to receive the air drop and don't forget same with any local gig's or shows indie artists need to know more and be a bigger part of the crypto currency discussion and they have much to benefit from by doing so Wink

Take your time, do it right and do it BIG

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axPwWjKI434

It won't let you join the stratum? Never heard of that error. Post a screenshot.

the miner just say's "pool 0 JEON stratum auth failed <null>"  stay's like that for a few seconds then just sits there blank,

deff confusing me... I've never seen it before either

I can connect fine to it. Seems like your authentication is failing. Are you sure you are using a username that you have created as a worker?

Those that are selling MILLIONS for 1 to 5 satoshi's won't help either. Bittrex will look at that and say hell no. Just sayin. All you dumpers may want to pull those orders or someone may want to buy them up soon.

I would but I don't have any funds right now.

No body is buying right now it's still too easy to mine we need more miners to drive this up lets be honest it's the miners + a community that makes a coin successful.

we need that multipool to be successful IMHO

I have opted to start up the multi pool, with some incentives on the CAC community as stated in my previous posts.

Unfortunately I have no funds, hence donations accepted
