41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: April 30, 2024, 11:33:42 AM
Whatever work we do, we should plan ahead. Like I am gambling from multiple accounts and at that time we have to assume that the outcome of that gambling may go against us and if it goes against then the money will be lost completely. If the money is completely lost, then there will be no money to gamble later on, so when making one bet, another bet has to be placed and then bet. Do not bet with full money because betting with full money will not have the money to bet later if the result goes against and the opportunity may be lost at that time. Professional gamblers usually think about the present and the future before gambling. I only think about the present but if I don't think about what will happen in the future then the problem can become bigger in the future.
I agree, planning is very important no matter what it is, without planning we can't win a smooth life, especially when it comes to gambling, it is very important. We need to have already decided how much money we want to use for our gambling activities.

It is my personal experience that people who gamble emotionally end up losing more than they win because they don't realize how much they have already lost and have nothing left to lose. Some people have lost their homes and businesses with gambling because they think that if they lose one game then they will surely win the next game they forget that this is gambling, nothing is possible so if you stop after a few losses then you lose less.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't it all about money? on: April 30, 2024, 09:33:25 AM
Everyone needs money, in everyday life it costs money, the costs come from money, money is not everything, but everything needs money, even urinating and defecating you have to pay with money, those are the costs in everyday life, children's costs, wife's costs and self's costs. .

When we talk about money, there is no end to it, we work hard just to earn money, for our daily needs, in everyday life we spend a lot of money for our needs, especially when we have a family, so we are smart enough to save money so we can invest so that our finances will be better in the future.
Yeah, you can't do anything without money these days because even to use a public toilet, you will need to pay money in most countries, so there is no doubt that money has become the most important thing for anyone living in any corner of the world because we are in an era where money buys everything.

People used to say that money can't buy happiness, I wonder how that can be true when you can't get anything without money and how can one be happy while having nothing. You can't be happy if you are hungry, have nothing to wear, and have no place to live. This thing can only be said for people who live in places where they do everything themselves, they sow vegetables and other stuff and use them for eating, but even then, I believe one would still need money at some point.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: April 30, 2024, 08:25:54 AM
Galatasaray has so far been able to continue to maintain their consistency in winning, thus making their chances of champhionship this season still open and also awake, Galatasaray's victory over Demirspor makes Galatasaray now collect 93 points from 34 matches, no different from Galatasaray, Fenerbache who is a contender for the champion this season also got 3 points in the match against Besiktas so that the difference between the two teams is still 4 points so far with The remaining 4 matches, although now Galatasaray lead by 4 points but still Fenerbache still has a chance to win the Super Lig this season on condition that they are able to beat Galatasaray in week 37 later and also hope that Galatasaray fail to get full points in their remaining one match.

The competition in relegation is also very tight because there are still 5 teams competing fiercely to be able to stay in the super lig next season, while istanbulspor of course can certainly be relegated next season, currently  teams between ranks 15 and 19 are still not safe, so there will most likely be a change in position that occurs in the relegation zone at the end of the season.
In the first phase of the season things were completely favourable for the Fenerbahçe and their performance were giving good impression about their chances to win the title, but we have impressive fight back by Galatasaray, and they achieve which they deserve in this season now we are having 4 games left and 4 points difference which is clearly showing they could be champions of the season with their performance in second phase of the season in 15 games no lost no draw and 33 goals difference is clearly showing their supremacy in this league even Fenerbahçe were also doing good but three draws give them huge setback and end of hopes for the title as well.

Istanbulspor were having no quality to compete in this league which is now going back to lig 1 as they are badly performing in this all season with them Pendikspor is also having the lowest chances to survive as their performance is also not as required in this league for the other spots we are having good competition, and it's not easy to predict who is going to stay here in this league for the next season.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 29, 2024, 07:45:52 PM
Pacers got very very lucky, they are facing Bucks, a team that got Damian Lillard last off season to make sure they do better at playoffs. And not only did Bucks lost Lillard to injury, but they also lost Giannis as well which made it near impossible for them to win. Obviously because of that Indiana got 3-1 ahead and I think Giannis is not returning neither which means that Indiana will end up beating them eventually as well we should probably consider that as a possibility.

I believe that we need to just focus on how Bucks could recover from this and be better next season because their season already ended. Some teams like Bucks and Sixers just do as well as they could but then they get their stars injured and then all of their season was for absolutely nothing in the end.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 29, 2024, 06:38:02 PM
A hobby is an entertaining activity that someone does for pleasure in order to relax outside of his regular work and responsibilities. Hobbies varies depending on someone's interests and preferences, it could be any type of sport, games, movies, books and so on.

Gambling is not considered as a traditional hobby on its own because of the risks that it might cause like wasting money and getting addicted. Being it a chance based activity, many people can't consider it as a particular habit but I think that if a gambler learns how to gamble right and learns how to manage his habits gambling could come out as a really fun hobby.
Before talking about hobbies, I would like to make one thing clear the hobbies of rich and poor are different. If a poor person gambles, gambling can be a source of income and a hope for a better future. If a rich person gambles, he is doing it for fun and entertainment and he barely cares about losing the money being used for it.

But if you look, you will see people with an average or low income gambling more, the main reason is that the things heard from people are based on lies that such and such a person earned so much money from gambling and becomes rich and induces them to gamble and in this temptation, they lose their present money as well

Yes, I know some people who have no compulsions who gamble just to pass the time and get pleasure and I also know people who have complete control over themselves and know how much money we should spend on gambling, I have also seen such people getting profit but mostly I have seen them lose by tempting people.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is the only crypto you should BUY on: April 29, 2024, 04:29:23 PM
Yes, bitcoin is the top choice because it is the safest, but to say that when entering the cryptocurrency market we should only buy bitcoin and ignore the rest is a waste.
The reason why Bitcoin is the only asset that must be purchased is because Bitcoin is an electronic payment system that is outside the control of any central government. Bitcoin can make things easier for you in all aspects and when you are anywhere, you can buy anything with Bitcoin without having to carry fiat money and exchange your local currency for foreign currency while traveling around the world.
The technology used behind Bitcoin (Blockchain) offers high transparency because every transaction record is stored throughout the network, this can reduce the risk of manipulation or fraud. The liquidity of Bitcoin itself makes it easy for every investor to buy or sell it because Bitcoin is widely traded on various crypto asset exchange platforms.
Right now, there are plenty of cryptos that can also do what BTC can do and they can even have other advantages. No wonder why they are still there and it's a proof that there are people who also invest on them and some of these people are also BTC supporters. For them, it's better to have more than one crypto.

Not all countries have made BTC a legal tender, so it's not true that if you are anywhere you can buy anything. Let's only hope that we will soon get there. That can surely help us and BTC even more. Transparency is attained through blockchain but there are still manipulations and frauds that happen in the crypto world, so it's important to equip our selves with knowledge in order to avoid them.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: April 29, 2024, 03:31:52 PM
Al Hilal will definitely want to win the double, they will try their best to win against Ittihad and will go to finals and win that too, that is what they want, they are amazing and been great during the season and they will want that regular season success to hit the cup as well, so it is not going to be all that complicated. I believe that we are going to see them do pretty well and we will see them fight until the very end as well.

What I think will happen is that Al Hilal will beat Ittihad, and AL Nassr will be at finals as well beating their opponent during the semi finals as well. So a Al Hilal versus Al Nassr finals will happen and no matter how much Ronaldo tries, the finals will be won by Al Hilal as well, that's what I believe will happen for sure.
48  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Stake F1 Team on: April 29, 2024, 06:31:34 AM
Before 5 minutes of maintenance, I happened to have drawn some winnings. Will this happen again with a server error resulting in several people bets experiencing big wins?
There was intolerable lag at Stake during the weekly stream today. Eddie couldn't make the first two bonus drops on time for the lag. Each bet was taking a few seconds to show the results. Even the account balance disappeared for a while. The website was up for me all the time, but I have faced these issues.
I feel like they are growing way too big, and they are not aware of the peak times that they are having. Reality is that while that's good for a website because every casino will want to have more and more people that gamble on their platform, you also have to end up with a situation where both maintenance and server load could be handled by the development team as well.

If you end up getting a small team and push them relentlessly to make everything work, even with extra hours you will not get what you need, when you are this big then you will need a whole team of people who could do this. Stake obviously does not have enough developers, no matter how great the developers they have right now, if their number is not enough, they won't be able to reach to every single issue.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 28, 2024, 08:11:21 PM
Marseille is not strong team this season, in Ligue 1 they performed less consistently and experienced quite lot of bad results with defeats, but in the Europa League Marseille played quite well and they managed to survive until now they are in the semifinals.
But their opponent is Atalanta, which is also an unstable team in Serie A and Atalanta has also experienced quite lot of bad results with defeats, if assess the performance of the two teams in each domestic competition, they both have similarities.
It just that seeing the struggle of the two in the Europa League competition, I think Marseille will be far superior and it is possible that Marseille will succeed in qualifying for the final.
But considering that both of them have almost equal performance, it will be very difficult to judge who will advance to the final, but I sure that both of them will definitely play with full competition and try to beat each other quite fiercely.

For Leverkusen I really believe that they will win over Roma, everyone definitely makes Leverkusen the favorite and the bookies give very big edge to make Leverkusen the favorite in betting.
Everything has been organized from the start and Leverkusen will indeed become champions of the Europa League this season, they will win many titles in one season with truly very significant developments.
That inconsistency is the type of issue that teams have when they are playing at their league, but when it comes to a cup like this they may play much better. We have seen Sevilla not do well at their league so many times and yet still win this cup so many times as well. They are actually the team with most amount of europea league title in the world, and yet they never been that great at their league.

I think Marseille could be in the same boat right now, it looks like they are not all that great but at the same time we are talking about a team that lacks the talent as well. They could be good but their good may not be enough to beat their opponents. I believe that we are going to just end up with Atalanta beating them if they play like they did against Atalanta.
50  Economy / Gambling / Re: Airbet - 100% 1st Deposit Bonus; 125% 2nd Deposit Bonus; 150% 3rd Deposit 🚀 on: April 28, 2024, 05:41:33 PM
I love this promo though as I'm addicted on roulette games, lol,
I'm not an addict to Roulette but I had a positive impression right after seeing the screenshot there, yet, as I read the rules further, that positive impression are immediately replaced by a negative one because I found out that there is a limit on how much I can earn in the free spins that I will receive. Not only that but on top of that, I still need to wager them for a lot of times. Phew. But they did not include if how much is the minimum bet for us to get qualified in this promotion (if ever there are). I guess there is only less or there isn't any because their other requirements are seem tough already to complete.

Although I called 30 and 8 as killer number for me because I usually don't bet on that number.  Grin
Is it okay for you to give a reason why? I don't think they are the unlucky numbers but maybe they also know that there are people like you who are scared of that or those numbers are simply hard to hit and that is why they choose those Cheesy.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Nassim Taleb's ideas useful in gambling? on: April 28, 2024, 02:09:34 PM
3. Ideas from the book “Antifragile.” By the way, the concept of “barbell” is also from this book. Keep 90% of the bank in conservative assets and 10% in high-risk assets.
This can confuse people. Some people will think that the high risk assets can be gambling assets. Out of my money, I can not leave more than 5% in gambling. Most of the time I leave lower than 5%. I have read about gambling funds before and it is advised that it should not even be more than 1% of your income. Using the low amount of money can give joy and happiness as they are nothing for you and it would be like you did not lose anything. But it should be about 1 to 5% of the money you hate earning and not your total assets.
Great to hear that. I think that only means that gambling is not your passion. The one that you read about gambling fund is found in the forum? Because I also read one here before and yes, it exactly says 1%. For the people who says gambling is life, they can't find value in their game if they also use a low amount of money.

No matter if it's small or big, a loss is still a loss. You can only say that you didn't lose anything if you didn't risk even a single penny. And is there such thing as money that we hate earning? I think that's a disrespect to the money itself. It only means that we don't value it. Anyways, I believe that all people are very eager to earn but it's just that our bad habits can make us to spend more money on them.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: April 28, 2024, 10:46:32 AM
Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?
It's definitely not to keep gambling to cover up previous losses as the gambling should only be for entertainment and not to look for source of income. If you are afraid to lose that money and you play thinking to double your money or for profit, then you should not be playing in the first place.

If it happens that you lose, it's better to stop playing and wait for you to first cool down before playing again but not to cover your previous losses. Just keep in mind that you are playing to entertain yourself and not to look for a new source of income.
Cover-up is different from trying to recover what you have lost, however we can really cover up the money that we have lost in gambling by earning money on other sources. This is better because it is more surer. Once we are done recovering it all, it's best to just stop playing gambling to not repeat the same mistakes again.

Many gamblers who have a goal of earning a profit are scared to risk their hard-earned money but surprisingly they still ended up depositing it and worse they lose it. They will only regret after. We can look for a new source to earn money if the current source we have is not enough but gambling is not qualified for it, unless if we are a streamer or a pro gambler.
53  Economy / Economics / Re: It's better to invest now than to regret it in a hospital bed. on: April 28, 2024, 09:03:05 AM
As someone who lived this EXACT situation, I can guarantee you that when you are laying in a hospital bed, with a serious condition, the very last thing you consider is finances. I am sure that your family did consider it, and I am sure that they try to spend as much money as possible to get you the best medical care as possible, which would mean that maybe THEY regrated it, and that I would understand.

But if it is you that is on the hospital bed, I guarantee you that if the condition is serious enough, then you do not end up considering anything regarding money at all. Only thing you can think of is the pain and the hurt, which I did and it wasn't a simple situation and I just hoped to get better and nothing more, money or crypto or anything in finance was never even in my mind at all.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact of Bitcoin halving and my opinion on: April 27, 2024, 05:40:22 AM
I think the halving's effect is still lying dormant, a lot of selling pressure against the buying pressure and the price remained under the current All-time-high?

To be honest, I dont see the halving times as good times to trade, or find an opportunity to trade because it is unpredictable but once the dust settles the bull or bear runs will initiate and then it becomes more fun.

Just let bitcoin grow as it is growing, unless we see more involvement from governments, growth will take time, a halving every four years has minimal impact.
I feel like there's a very big confusing situation going on with Bitcoin at the moment where traders don't understand if the market is going to go higher or if the chances of a bearish crash are high right now, so many people just stay silent. The hold is sitting neither they are buying nor are selling including me.
I've seen a lot of people talking about halving as if halving is magic and right after Bitcoin halving Bitcoin will go up a lot and people will start profiting right away.

And I agree with you that Halving time or the time when the market is very high is not a suitable time for trading as you have high chances of waiting for a long time for profit. As we all saw Bitcoin crossed its all-time high before the halving, and at this time Bitcoin is running enough proof so it won't be so easy to say that Bitcoin will go up and not down. So, I suggest traders with low investment should either adopt the DCA method or wait for a good time to trade.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: April 26, 2024, 08:15:50 PM
I think Liverpool cannot be counted out of the title race but they are three points behind leaders Arsenal with equal games played. Manchester City have played two games less but are only four points behind. Any of those three teams could still win the title.
Real Madrid has won Manchester City in Champions League, this will make the club to concentrate more on EPL. The toughest match I see that can be played with its opponents is the last match which is with Tottenham. If Arsenal is able to rival Manchester City to last match, Manchester City will use all their strength to make sure they win Tottenham. Although it is a home match for Tottenham but I guess that Manchester City may win EPL again which is this season. Anything can still happen but this is my guess. I know that Liverpool will not win, it may likely be in the third position.
I am sure that City will end up trying to win it all, they still have a double chance right now and that is not really a bad season to be fair. Of course they will want to win UCL because that would have been great, a team that may win treble two years in a row would have been awesome, but that's not the situation. I believe that winning EPL and FA cup together would be something that would be great for them.

I think it's clear that they will be still unhappy, imagine a team that is so great that they may win double together and they end up still not happy with the result. They are even already in talks with maybe parting ways with Pep Guardiola as well, which is why it is quite shocking because he made that team what it is today so if they part ways with him, I think that will be a big mistake, but if he goes two for two then probably will keep him.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don’t like the term “crypto” on: April 26, 2024, 04:31:31 PM
To be blunt, nobody likes the term crypto but can we do something about it? No, we cannot do a thing about it and I have started using terms like Bitcoin and altcoins or sometimes crypto/Bitcoin. I guess now it inevitable as everyone addresses it as crypto and some of my friends use crypto as the first time even when they are referring to Bitcoin. There are certain other terms like NFT which I don't like for strange reason but we gotta live with it as it doesn't matter what we think Lol.
Nobody? No, you are not sure with that. For me, there is nothing wrong in the term Crypto and the reason why it's called like that is because it's a shortened word for Cryptocurrency. There is still a way to avoid it if you don't like it. You already did it in fact when you use the term Altcoins and Bitcoins.

There are also Tokens, NFT's, and other more specific terms to identify a certain Crypto. BTC is a Crypto, so there is nothing wrong there when your friend call Bitcoin like that and don't say that it doesn't matter what you think because if it's true then you should not came out with a confession that you hate the term Crypto, NFT, and others...
57  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why not create a Gambling platform on Market narrative? on: April 26, 2024, 09:26:01 AM
Its not all about starting something, one would have looked into the demands, cost and implications of starting it, gambling has it own kind of demands in which if we are not giving it the desired effort in making it worked out, we may not achieve half the target of what we aimed form, all these are part of what constitute a gambling platform to fold up after some time or little operations because they couldn't maintain the demands and requirements needed to keep it running.
Gambling platforms are businesses, and no business can be started without a proper and well-thought plan and it's about every business in the world. When we talk about casinos and gambling platforms online, they might seem like they are easy to begin with and a person who has enough money can easily build a casino and start earning money, but little do they know that it's a lengthy process and it can't be done by a single person alone.

There are a lot of things one needs to take care of and consider before one gets into the business including the area they are targeting whether one can get enough attention from the audience one is targeting, whether one has enough money to fund the process, and don't go bankrupt in case the initial phase doesn't pay out much, and these are just a few things out of many there are.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling: Modern entertainment or highly addictive game? on: April 26, 2024, 08:15:31 AM
I could argue that it mainly depends on the type of games that you play.

Let's imagine for a moment that you bet on matches that you watch, like me. I watch maybe 2 or 3 a month, mainly on the weekends, but sometimes less. Betting on them provides more fun, makes the experience more entertaining, while being so rare that you can't call me an addict.

Bottom line, it depends on how frequently you play, what type of a person you are. Someone who's easily addicted will lose all money on scratch cards, while a strong gambler will play poker for years without any signs of addiction.
There is no doubt about that. People who are into sports betting tend to have lower odds of getting addicted to it because sports betting isn't highly addictive, but if someone is involved in gambling games where they play gambling games such as dice, crash, or slots games, they would have higher odds of getting addicted to them because these are addictive games by nature and one can easily get addicted to them if they don't have enough self-control.

So, you are right that it depends on what games someone is involved in. Most people who play gambling games overdo it, they won't stop once start gambling until they have all their money lost and have no other option than stopping, and some wouldn't stop even then and try to get more money from here and there only to feed their addiction.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streaming community are getting worst!!! on: April 26, 2024, 06:04:21 AM
I don't see anything wrong with that. You need to realize and understand why they have started streaming in the first place. One doesn't get into streaming because they want to pass their time, they can play games without going live if they want to do that, but they do it so that they can earn money from it, it's their profession and if they are making changes that they are free to make to increase their income or anything, they would do it for sure.

A lot of streamers tend to change their content when they see their viewership is dropping since many viewers get bored of the same thing and they might stop watching, so they might try different things, mostly things that are currently trending so that they can get a better viewership for their streams and hence earn more money.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Artificial Intelligence Make Bitcoin Much More Valuable? on: April 25, 2024, 08:28:21 PM
The only way for AI to make Bitcoin more valuable is accepting Bitcoin payment in their sites, so what are AI sites that accept Bitcoin payment? I didn't find any, much better if they accept P2P payment instead of through fiat to Bitcoin or centralized payment processors.

Currency of artificial intelligence is no more less than bunch of buzzwords, currently online marketplaces, online services, etc have a lot demand, but Bitcoin didn't even become the first currency that being used on there, so don't expect people will use Bitcoin for AI too.
What you said is one thing that can contribute to the growth of BTC. When I say one thing, that means there are others too because AI's has an extensive use. The ones we are talking about here are only an indirect help because the ones who mainly earn here are the devs and teams of these AI-powered platforms.

People who force to use BTC to avail the AI services can still get interested to it which will lead for them to invest, use it for trade or as a currency regularly. Most AI platforms are centralized so only a few can do what you want of using P2P but that's fine. BTC is not the first but look at it now, so you should rather believe that its success can only continue.
