701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot games are a waste of time and money (most of the time) on: November 30, 2023, 11:15:39 AM
Things don't work the same way for everyone, especially when it comes to gambling, the outcomes are always different for different people playing the same game because it's all about one's luck whether they will win or lose, and if they win, how much they are going to win, and if they are losing, how much in total they are going to lose. So, I don't think that it's just a game or a series of games that we should blame because it's our luck that isn't favoring us in this thing.

Talking about personal experience, I'm actually in the same boat as you because I've never won anything very significant from slots games, it doesn't mean that I never got any big wins, but they were never big enough like some people get 1000x or even higher, the highest I've ever got was 100x.
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can happen next time due to a lack of proper knowledge about Bitcoin? on: November 30, 2023, 09:46:04 AM
The banking system has disappointed people in many ways. In the last economic crisis, the banks were bailed out with taxpayer money, and we were left with that money. This is unfair, and it shows that banks do not value people. We gave them a chance, but they abused our trust. It's time to let them take care of themselves. We will not forget what they did, and we will not give them a second chance.
No matter what we think or say about them, we are going to need both fiat currencies and banks until Bitcoin is usable more as a currency or a payment method than an investment asset because we have no choice. We love Bitcoin, and we want it to stay around forever and keep serving the properties that it has to us but we also can't deny the fact that we currently need money, in our local currencies, to be used for our expenses since Bitcoin isn't accepted everywhere in the world right now.

So, the rage and the hatred towards banks and traditional financial institutions are all useless for now because whether we accept it or not, we are all using them for our daily needs at the moment, and I believe we should wait for the time when we can finally say that we don't need their services at all and then say whatever we want about them and that will be fair and have no hypocrisy from our side at all.
703  Economy / Economics / Re: How come both the "gas" and "fee" prices shoot up without ETH and BTC move? on: November 29, 2023, 05:18:24 PM
With Bitcoin, it's transaction fee.
With altcoins and their smart contracts, it's gas price.

Don't confuse transaction fee on Bitcoin blockchain and gas price on altcoin blockchains.
That is what he said. He even highlight both terms with quotes. This a good lesson though to some who still uses the term fee or transaction fee for both BTC and altcoins but I rarely heard that someone will say gas price/fee when they are talking about Bitcoin. I read a couple replies and I see that they already answered the OP, so I wouldn't repeat it anymore.

Besides, scenarios like this aren't new anymore on crypto or for that two big coins. The only thing about BTC is that its transaction fees can return to normal soon, while I doubt if ETH can also do the same. It is seems that the issue about their high gas cost is becoming a permanent problem already but we aren't bother with it anymore as there are now lots of alternatives created that we can use.
704  Economy / Economics / Re: if you think 18k btc is low wait until autumn ... on: November 29, 2023, 12:08:25 PM
A few months before the halving, whales can arrange a temporary drop in the price of Bitcoin so that weak hands of newcomers dump more and thus the whales can buy up potential cryptocurrency. Therefore, in the near future, I still assume a significant drop in the price of Bitcoin, but not for a long period.
There is no doubt that the whales usually manipulate the prices just for their own gains but I don't think they will be forcing it too much now since they have already been able to fill their bags at around $16k earlier last year unless they decide to take profits around $40k and then decide to buy more lower and start creating FUD and making weak retail investors sell their assets so that the market can take a dump and they can buy more at a lower price.

However, I don't see the price of Bitcoin going anywhere below $30k anymore since we are just a month away from the new year and once the new year starts, the market will probably enter the recovering mode from that point onwards, and the first couple of months will be crucial in that regard.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Crowdfund for a Gambler Who Has Gambled Irresponsibly? on: November 29, 2023, 09:49:53 AM
I don't like holding people responsible for their mistakes, everyone makes mistakes and if I have to fund a gambler it will depend on what happened after he lost all his money to gambling, did he learn some lessons already? What he plans to do from here on, everyone has their issues and difficulties, we are all trying to make a way and without mistakes it will be difficult to grow.

If he failed to learn from is irresponsible gambling then I can say no to him, most gamblers are irresponsible at first, and this is because of the problem that affected their lives, they are finding means to make a new change in their life so I don't blame anyone for trying.

Not learning from your mistake is the biggest issue here, because you will never grow, I don't like gambling too much, it's not because of anything else but I am only trying to avoid getting addicted to it, I am someone who get attached to something I do everytime, I am just trying to protect myself in a good way.
Whether a gambler will learn from their mistake and won't repeat it next time depends if they are addicted to gambling or not. There are two types of people who make such mistakes. The first type is addicted gamblers who gets money in their hand and can't control the urge and gamble it away, and the second category is of the gamblers who are not generally addicted gamblers but they spend the money on gambling while either trying to gain more money since they need it or just because they got greedy.

If the gambler who lost everything in gambling and is asking for monetary assistance is an addicted gambler, I wouldn't want to do a crowdfunding event for them, but if the person isn't addicted but did it because they needed more money and they thought they can achieve that through gambling, I might think about it in case he is struck by an emergency.
706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: November 29, 2023, 08:45:55 AM
Addiction can occur from thought patterns and habits
It's about habits, it's true. A person who has a habit of managing things very carefully will never let themselves become addicted to gambling because they will manage their bankroll and their gambling activities in a way that won't make them addicted to it but it will just be an extra activity for them which won't matter if they don't do it but if they got time and funds, they can go ahead and play a few games without the intent to earn money through it.

Most people get addicted to gambling because they are not disciplined in general in their lives or with their activities. They do things without any proper schedule or timetable, and they barely have money management skills so that they can have a separate budget for their gambling activities.

So, someone who can't decide on a budget for their gambling and follow it will barely be able to prevent themselves from getting addicted to gambling.
707  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽️🔥 Good Sport Betting manual🔥⚽️ on: November 29, 2023, 07:03:24 AM
No matter on what kind of gambling game that you are involved into whether strategic or luck based or simply talking about casino games or sportsbetting. There's no way that we could really be able to tell into ourselves that we would really be that lucky because we know that luck doesnt really come to ours on a known manner but it would really be that on random or simply on the time that you do say that you are lucky just because you are winning. You shouldn't really be that making yourself that being that delusional that winning would really be just that easy.

When it comes to sports betting then it would really be that depending on a certain bettor on which he would really be waiting for some minutes before they would be making out some bets
and there are ones who would bet earlier. We do know that odds do really mean much and there are ones who do really that love on maximizing it out
no matter what.
This is the tricky part here when trying to play for profit. For me, I just play on a casino that has the lowest minimum deposit and I will deposit that same amount only to test the game and see if my luck is there. If I think there is, that should be the time that I will deposit more money. It works like a charm for me.

There are times when we think we are lucky because we already experience a win, but we are actually wrong because by the time we play more, we will never get a good win anymore and we can't help but to just continue using what we have left. It's important to not celebrate early. And it's better to just secure the winning that you already got.
708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can old generation cause the habit of gambling in young generation ? on: November 29, 2023, 06:01:10 AM
There are some old people in my family which are paying cricket fantasy games. They usually talk about the games and their performance is matches almost daily. It is obvious that if any younger guy in family will listen about this, he will also be eager to know more about this. How can I stop the younger generation in my family being carried away by this and focus on other important things like studies only ?
I want you to stop for a moment and think about this- all the older people in your family who play these fantastic game addicted to it? How is their lifestyle are there in depth because of these games how about their relationship with their spouse and their kids? If everything is okay with them I see no reason why you should act as a gatekeeper to prevent the younger ones from learning a thing or two from them.
And even if they are addicted, they can still taught us the correct way of playing it, so that we will not end up to be like them. Some times it's better to open a topic like this because there is always a chance that the youngsters are going to stumble upon gambling one day.

We all know that addicted people are trying to hide their bad habits to the people that they know. Another scenario is, even if let say the older generation is well-disciplined and taught the younger ones the things that they should do, there is still a chance that they will change. This is how uncontrollable gambling is. Let us only hope for the best though that everything will be just fine.
709  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can we avoid tax on crypto trading in india on: November 28, 2023, 06:18:56 PM
You can use a dex to avoid paying taxes on your trading profits. Another way is to use exchanges that are lenient towards KYC. But, I strongly suggest following neither because tax evasion is a serious crime and can land you in trouble (personally I never recommend that because being compliant with tax rules will give you peace of mind for sure at anyone's case).

Also, let us assume you evaded all the possible taxes, how are you going to cash the crypto then? You need to cash it at some point otherwise it's virtual wealth that cannot be cashed.

I'm in favor of using DEX in general but if tax evasion is the goal, then perhaps not.
710  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I still hold the investment or sell it? on: November 28, 2023, 04:31:30 PM
I thought I should share the matter in the forum and I will get the best solution from the forum that's why I am sharing the matter in the forum whether I should hold on to my investment or sell it now.
I think you are not going to get any specific suggestion regarding that from anyone and almost every single person would tell you to decide for yourself. I would say the same, because it totally depends on your personal financial goals and your target that you had when you were making the investment. If you were looking for a specific amount of profits and you think you have got it, you should sell them, but if you invested so that you can hold for long term to reap higher returns, then it's definitely not the right time for that because we expecting a bull run in the next couple of years.

I don't need the money anyway, if I sell my investment now I have to deposit this money in the bank again.
That means that you can hold it for as long as you want, I would not suggest you selling them in this case because if you can hold until the bull run, you will definitely get higher profits.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: November 28, 2023, 03:12:30 PM
Gambling addiction can be worse if it can't be controlled.
True, and that control is better if it's done from the beginning when the person is starting their gambling career because you can't have control once the things get out of hand.

Otherwise people may involve with illegal activities to manage gambling fund while they out money and so on.
Some gamblers might do that if they get too addicted to gambling and lose everything they have which is when they might start looking for ways that they can use to get some money so that they can continue gambling and if they don't see any right way, they might think of evil ways of gaining money which will lead them to punishable crimes.

If they have main source, then no need to addict with gambling for money but they can gambler for entertainment and Fun IMHO
That's the thing, people often get addicted to gambling when they don't have a proper source of income and they think that they can earn a living through gambling but it turns out to be different than they might have expected and instead of earning money, they start losing money in it.
712  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: November 28, 2023, 12:15:31 PM
Will the .com players get post monthly bonus too in the next few days? Lets see and wait, hopefully to get it and get the usual amount because I wagered some this week.
Why not! The US players got it for the celebration of Thanksgiving day. And we (Stake.com users) have received the post-monthly bonus today as a Cyber Monday bonus. I have received only $7 from it. Perhaps, I didn't receive a better base reward from the post-monthly as my gambling activity wasn't much at Stake since last few weeks. Here is the link for the post-monthly bonus: https://playstake.info/bonus?code=novemberpostmonthlybonus012ufasjl1
Yeah, they have dropped the bonuses big time. I actually got $1 monthly bonus and I am a platinum 4 player lol

Can't blame them though because I have been away from stake for a while and shouldn't expect free bonuses but in past they used to give a minimum $20-30 every month regardless of your activity on the site.

Still, Stake stands as the best crypto casino we have right now by a big margin. The sponsorships and partnerships they have established are quite amazing although that doesn't exactly help the players. I would rather have 1% extra cashback than a new sponsorship.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer wins seem too good on: November 28, 2023, 08:55:59 AM
We've probably all seen streamers win big, while obviously playing to promote a casino. I'm glad you're trying to make people aware of this situation, but it's only for newbies. Most hardened players know what's going on and it's not only at slots. They often play other games and get these high wins. Often it's not because they're set up somehow by the casino, (cheating) but because they know they'll get their money back if they lose, so they make big bets with no regrets and bet high, often scoring high wins.
Well, mostly or maybe all the time, the streamers that are streaming to promote a certain casino platform have their balance topped up by the casino or they are using fake money or even if it's not fake, it's not theirs and they are just using it for the streams. They just have the balance to play the games and entertain the audience and also show the audience that they can win big by playing certain games at this particular platform so that those who are watching get interested and join the platform and start gambling.

So, they play without fear or regrets because they have nothing to lose, and nor does the casino platform because the money that is lost goes to them and the money that is won by the streamer isn't going to the streamer since they have a fixed contract and the streamer gets paid according to that contract.
714  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Sportsbook to handle large bets? on: November 28, 2023, 06:08:19 AM
I'm not a huge fan of any of the crypto sites. If you're in the US its best to stick with the regulated companies.
Not sure about the US but in general for me, I have noticed that the crypto casinos accept much higher bets compared to sites like bet365, William hill and others. Not just that, the traditional bookies limit your account much faster.

There are guys involved in shady betting such as rigging matches, arbitrage, etc and they don't want to do it on a traditional casino because of the KYC. This is another reason why they want to use crypto sportsbooks.

You are much likely to get away with a 1 BTC bet on stake than a $35k bet on bet365 if you are into prof stuff.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: November 27, 2023, 05:49:46 PM
Al Ahli and Al Ittihad, these two teams have experienced a relative decline in performance in the last 5 matches, even for Al Ittihad they tend to be inconsistent so far which makes it increasingly difficult for them to compete with Al Nassr and Al Hilal. Well, by the way, Al Ahli also did not maximize the opportunities they had when facing lower ranked teams because they failed to get maximum points. Al Ahli is indeed much better compared to other big teams because they are a promoted team but can be ranked in the top 3 but still if the quality of their players is strong enough and it is a shame that the previous 2 matches ended in a draw.

Benzema also experienced big difficulties in his first season with Al Ittihad because he was a big name player and was quite active in scoring goals at Real Madrid but in his new team it seemed like he needed time to show his best qualities. Maybe I think Benzema needs a stronger partner for their front line and that will be something that Al Ittihad management has to think about in this winter transfer window.
I believe that we are talking about a "streak", not something permanent for those clubs and they will go back to winning days when the time comes but for the time being we are talking about something that will be a bit different, and that should be important. I understand that it may not be all that easy, but we are talking about a situation that has to be key to their success eventually.

The problem is that we are talking about a league where the top team rarely ever loses, which means that if you have a bad period, even if for just a few games, just because you win all the other games rest of the season doesn't guarantee you a title. So, these teams already know that they are not going to be the champions, and it's barely the half of the season.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: November 27, 2023, 04:55:19 PM
Liverpool coach Jurgen who’ll be finding it so hard to make some rotations especially having fall from rotations he made during the Europa League match against Toulouse where he tried to redeem himself by getting his main starters into the match at start of 2nd half, but his changes couldn’t change the score line, Jurgen will be left to try out on some rotations again especially due to the fact that his next 2 matches will be away from home and he really needs to get at least a point from those matches.

I trust Jurgen with his experience to make the right selections and rotations this time because the saying goes: Once bitten, twice shy. Yes, he might probably make mistakes but I feel they won’t cost him that much as losing the match due to fatigue from the players.

This rotation process has helped Jurgen and his Liverpool side keep it at bay with Title contenders, Arsenal and Manchester City and the fans are really enjoying their season as long as the coach keeps getting them massive 3 points and at least a point when one point seems far fetched, I think Jurgen will really hand this Liverpool side a trophy this season because he’s built his squad depth and can cover up when injury occurs and that’s what most coaches needs to learn.
I have never seen Klopp have hard time with rotation to be fair, he has been quite elite about it as long as it gets and he has been here for a very long time and he has done fine. I mean we are talking about a guy who has lead this team to 50+ games a season every season, considering European competition as well, maybe even as much as 60 games? So if he managed that for this long, I am sure that he can do it again, not like they have European competition for the first time, they had UCL situation plenty of times before as well and they managed to make it work then, so why wouldn't they make it work now.

I know that FA cup is not that much of a huge deal for them, not this year anyway, and they want to be in the top three of EPL this season which they could potentially do, and they want to win europa as well. If he could rest players meanwhile, then he could make it work one way or another, and should be fine, I think that's the most important thing for them.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in psychic betting? on: November 27, 2023, 03:30:21 PM
The first one in the story, he could have use his own prediction to his self and solo the million dollar winning. That way, he will never work again. Or maybe there is a catch about those powers he have? Like it will only take effect on other people? But, let's only hope that his boss gave him a good a share.

The second one, was crazy. Really, octopus? Cheesy. I wonder how did they figure this out at first? Number 3 is also a bit funny, because they are religious leaders and they are supposed to be against with gambling. But the most hilarious among all is the last one. It is seems that those people are also lunatic themselves for them to believe on it.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe 2023 betting today. on: November 27, 2023, 02:28:53 PM
Lucky not to see this thread during the coronation night or else I’ll just lose the money because Philippines is my bet, and the odds also tells why. The current Miss Universe competition seems to be more intense and competitive, those participants did their best but only one remains on top. Despite of the rumors of a cooking show, I still believe Nicaragua also deserve the title because she’s a total package and lucky to those who bet with her and won the prize.
Even without this thread but if you're into gambling already (all sorts of it), you will still be curious to see if there are types of betting for this. And once you found out there is, you will likely place a bet.

And it is actually beneficial to see a betting thread before the event starts, so that you can share your insights and gather others, to help you and them about your/their decisions. Losing money in gambling is normal so you shouldn't regret it. Other than that, you only did a good job for supporting your favorite candidate. Miss U and other major events/competition is always intense because the participants are well-prepared and tries their best to win.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Country To Live In For Crypto Casinos?# on: November 27, 2023, 01:15:12 PM
My country can access crypto without being asked upon the completion of the KYC and I can say that our government is slowly supporting crypto, in fact they are already encouraging people to cryptocurrency. If this is the only reason then I can say my country which is the Philippines is one of the best option or country to live in if you want to gamble online plus we also have a good tourist destinations where you can spend your time whole you are playing online.
Most crypto sites and crypto casinos are like that. You can freely access them but the KYC will only surprise you by the time you made a checkout/withdrawal. This was still better though than if we are on a country like the OP have, where we can't even access the crypto sites because they are illegal.

We should only make it a habit to research first, if the crypto site is legit so that we won't lose our money, and especially our KYC because our reputation is at risk there, as someone can use or sold it and those people can use it in their illegal deeds. It's indeed that the Philippines is one of the good countries to travel or to live on. Other than what you said, the cost of living there is also cheap.
720  Economy / Economics / Re: strange indicators to know economy is bad on: November 27, 2023, 04:35:04 AM
I think that a bad economy is not only measured in the rise of the price of the goods, but there might also be other indicators to know it. On many well-developed countries, the price of their items are also high but their economy was still in a healthy condition. I know it's crazy but I think an increase in the price of the goods might also be beneficial to those people behind them or to the ones who create/produced them and to the economy in general, so we should also think about this before we complain.

In terms of salary, I think this doesn't has to do with the economy most of the times, but it only has to do with the company that you are working with. You better switch jobs and find a better paying one.
