141  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Worried about Coinbase!! on: January 23, 2017, 02:48:20 PM
I see users commenting on this, but I have not found the sources. It would be better if you could post the links of the threads on which users are complaining about it. It would also be interesting if users could post some evidence about the issues they are facing. This could be useful to the community.

Good question man. Take a look this section post, hope you will foun lot of issue about coinbase. til now you haven't found any issue about coinbase? i am browsing with my mobile phone,so why i cant able to give you any link,But i will provide the link as soon a possible.

No problem, now I can see a series of threads related to problems that users are facing with coinbase. I think the company should hire someone to check such complaints and try to solve such problems, because the amount of complaints is really alarming. And it seems like this has been happening since more than a year ago...
142  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam alert : Do NOT INVEST in Genesis Mining on: January 23, 2017, 02:43:41 PM
Do you think that cloud mining at all is not worth it? I think Hashnest mining may be profitable, because you can mine, and you can sell your mining power at some point. It's like a stock market - getting dividends and trading your shares. But in mining your dividends may be higher than 100% annual.
If you look here https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/#/contracts you will notice that most of the contracts never pay back. The best contract have almost three year payback time at current conditions. It will probably never pay back as well.
Better to buy some bitcoins or other tokens.

Yes, but I believe bitcoin mining at Hashnest will pay back, however. And, of course, better buy litecoins and other forks than mine them in cloud (or mine them at home).
The mining difficulty made a huge leap on the last day, so I would avoid any cloud mining service. Hashnest has an interesting mining system, since the user can buy hashpower and sell at any time in the market, not at the same price, of course.

I was considering this investment possibility, but then I realized that the maintenance fee is relatively high, and this will cause an even greater impact on the gains after the recent increase in the difficulty of mining.
143  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: January 23, 2017, 02:29:51 PM
It's a good plan, buy a house when the price of bitcoin goes high. So when the bitcoins price goes down you don't care about that and your nominal price still same. Like example on 4 days ago, when the price of bitcoin at the top price around $1050+ you use all our coins buy a house and when the price goes down like 3-4 days ago, you still fine, because you already use the bitcoin for buy a house.
One you buy a house, you already made your decision to cash out your bitcoins into fiat, that means your money will not grow anymore. It's actually depend on you plan, if you need a house then go ahead, it's your profit anyway and as an investor we also need to reward ourselves.

On the other hand, if buying a house is due to investment, then always consider which one would bring good return in the future, is it investing in bitcoin or your house?

Well we could say that we cant buy a house using bitcoin without exchanging it to our own fiat. So we should first exchange it. I do agree as investor or because of our efforts and hardwork we should gift our self some of good stuff as reward because it is very stressful . Thus, you should earn a ton first before you can buy a house it needs lot of time , hardwork ang patience
I would also not trust to buy a house using my bitcoin, I have to ensure that everything is done in a legal way because it's not a small amount we are talking here. The dream will come true for me once bitcoin will continue to rise its value and hopefully it could reach to $10,000 in the years to come.

I'm constantly saving while the price is increasing, it's a good timing.
I think even if Bitcoin was in the $ 2000 range, it probably would not be the right time to cash out that much money and buy a house with it. But everything will depend on the needs of the individual. If the person in fact needs a new place to live, and if that is a priority, then it may be the right thing to do.
144  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: January 23, 2017, 02:23:19 PM
I realized that there has been a huge increase in the mining difficulty lately. 16.64% is a large number, especially after such a long time without big jumps... The company launched the data center announced last year? What happened to the S7 miners? Is s9 the only option giving some profit?
145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage ur emotions? on: January 23, 2017, 02:11:53 PM
As you become more confident and prepared for both winning and losing streaks, you'll make less mistakes, profit more and lose less.
When we will be having maturity to have both winning and losses as same things then we will be able to manage our emotions effectively. When we start treating meaning and losses without getting any emotions out of them, we can follow our trading plan to make more profits.

This maturity will be only possible after having more experience in trading.
Yeah, this is not something you learn overnight. There is a high difficulty in adapting to this market, especially in the early stages. Even the most experienced and successful traders in the market had moments of loss at the beginning. The good thing is that the time it will take to adapt and have good results only depends on the investor.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining completely dead to noobs on: January 23, 2017, 02:05:49 PM
I've got a decent graphics card yes. Is there anything to mine with one decent graphics card.

ETH / ETC
ZEC
XMR

Profitability pretty much equal between those 4.
These are probably the best possibilities, but there is no way to guarantee that there will be roi for the long term, as some of these coins, especially ethereum and zcash, are coins that are subject to much instability. Ethereum has yet to solve problems related to scalability and attack vectors. Zcash is a cryptocurrency that will surely bring in many inquiries due to the 20% fee that miners have to pay to developers.
147  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What is driving the difficulty jump? on: January 23, 2017, 01:55:49 PM
Bitmain has probably launched the data-center that was announced at the end of 2016. And if btc price doesn't reach $1k in the nearest future, then mining profits will start to actually decrease...
If they actually launched the data center, then this is possibly one of the big causes for the significant increase in mining difficulty, as it was a very large project. I also saw on their website that they have launched a new mining equipment, that is currently available for sale. According to them, there is a considerable gain in terms of energy efficiency.
148  Economy / Economics / Re: whether bitcoin influence on the world economy? on: January 23, 2017, 01:49:04 PM
I think bitcoin has an influence on the world's economy. All world sees that the new area of money is coming. New money with price 1000$ per coin and with probability to rise higher. I think all world's economy is on tension about bitcoin. That's why they are creating laws or something to make bitcoin work on the system.
Bitcoin has nothing to do with world economics and i do not think the price of bitcoin will influence the economy in any way.Government will be creating new laws to have more control over us so that they could control the revenue system and monitor everyone .
It depends on the country, because Bitcoin becomes more and more connected to the economy of some countries. There are places where inflation is very high, and governments put many impositions on the currencies of these countries. I think in these places Bitcoin has a great chance of expanding.
149  Economy / Speculation / Re: You'll sell at the bottom on: January 21, 2017, 03:54:51 PM
People who have long been in the market know a lot of manipulation techniques and, as long as there is the possibility of profiting from it, they will continue to use such tactics. That's the reason why it is not recommended to trade at or near the bottom price.

If you want to continue in this market, listen to the advice of experienced people, and collect every information you need to make the best decisions.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Qtum] UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform|On Coindesk & Bitcoinmagazine on: January 20, 2017, 05:55:00 AM
Some of the names quoted in the EconoTimes article are easy to recognize. It's good to see them on the scene, because there are investors who would certainly not invest if the project did not have great relevance, and this has the potential to attract more investors.

The amount raised will also make a big difference. Developers will need it to compete with existing projects.

152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Is Now Moving Up on: January 20, 2017, 05:22:02 AM
The price is moving with a lot of nervousness in the range of 830-930. I do not know what will be the direction of the next big rally (I hope it is up again  Grin), but what I'm sure is that this uncertain behavior will not last for long.

I hope so too, let us see what will happen next.  As far as I can see it, when the price move upward, accumulation phase of some group is done and now they are waiting for it to go up, so we can expect a rally now.  I hope market don't turn bearish after this accumulations and corrections.

the price is not going to up for a while because i see in the poloniex and bitstamp, the price is not yet reach more than $900 and now its down a little. i hope that the price will go up soon before the end of january. if we see in the chart, the price is up and down in many time and the line is flat line, i am a little confusing to predict where the price want to go.
Don’t worry there is going to be lots of opportunities to profit from the movement in the price of bitcoin since this year promises to have lots of changes thanks to the election of Trump as the US president.
This year Bitcoin is likely to attract many investors, but this is not going to be a consequence of Trump's victory. This will be a consequence of new projects that may be developed on top of Bitcoin. In fact, many of these projects are already under development, but it's difficult to know the exact date on which they will be delivered.
153  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Freedom on: January 20, 2017, 05:12:55 AM
Bitcoin is Freedom sounds very good words but Freedom is just about money only absolutely no ,it is something much bigger than that.
Money is never given freedom. However, the good financial position of the person opens up many possibilities. Therefore, only one who really has enough bitcoin and knows what to do with it, that will be really free.
It depends on the type of money because, if the individual depends entirely on fiat currency, in fact it is difficult to say that he/she is free, since the government has control over the way that this currency is issued, so the government also has control on the value of that currency. However, if the person choose Bitcoin, this person chose one of the few ways to have freedom.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will segwit be activated? on: January 20, 2017, 04:49:06 AM
Ver wants Bitcoin to split by hardfork just like Etherium

First I thought it was photoshopped, I had to personally see this on Twitter to know it's real. The fact is that Ethereum had chances of being in a much better position if developers decided not to fork it... and back to Bitcoin, it's hard to believe that this guy is playing in the community's favor with such statements.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you burn your bitcoins IF something goes wrong? on: January 20, 2017, 04:36:10 AM
I think the worst case scenario is that bitcoin will evolve into a quasi-centralized payment system maintained by a central core authority.

That's not the case. If there'll be some abuse people simply can refuse to use it and it will die. And everyone understand it. It would be meaningless to take over bitcoin because, in this case, bitcoin would cost nothing and all your efforts to achieve control over it would be in vain

Actually, end users that will make 99% of Bitcoin in future will not be equipped w/ technical understanding to protect bitcoin.

And if centralization comes, it will come quietly sneaking, not shouting from the rooftops. Crippling the main chain should be the first warning sign.
While I like bitcoin, bitcoin needs to evolve in a way that allow users which are not technical inclined to be able to secure their coins without too much hassle, because if it does not then many users will lose their bitcoin due to hacks.
For a payment system that is relatively new, things are evolving efficiently. As one expert once said, Bitcoin is in a phase similar to the phase in which email services were a few decades ago, but over time things have been moving forward and we have what exists today. Probably sending Bitcoin will be as easy as sending an email some day.
156  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo will start charging a fee to receive transactions on: January 20, 2017, 04:27:44 AM
Really!! One of free transaction wallet has gone. I think Coinbase also start transactions fees for theire customar. If really its happen, there will be no more transaction free wallet.

Its a bad news near to Xapo wallet user that they are taking cherge for receving .next time they will take sending fee from user. one day there will be no more free transaction wallet Sad Sad
I'm not sure how these websites can run for so long without charging such fees, because in general do not charge this and keep the service with good quality is something unfeasible. Such fees are what developers earn to maintain the stability and quality of the services.
157  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase? on: January 18, 2017, 12:09:52 AM
Mass adoption is the better option. Even if bitcoin has a high price but if banks and countries launch their fiat currencies bitcoin will lose its value if it is not widely adopted. Mass adoption of bitcoin is the only way for bitcoin to survive the threat of the fiat virtual currency. Hope the bitcoin community will join hands to speed up the promotion of bitcoin so it will have a mass adoption as soon as possible.
From what I see, one of the things could not exist without the other... but if I had to decide the most important factor, I would certainly also choose mass adoption, because the price depends on whether or not there is demand. Even if Bitcoin was undervalued for some time, if there was demand, at some point the market would have to find a balance, and the price would be adjusted.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: January 17, 2017, 11:59:47 PM
I think it would take a lot of research for that. There are factors that make it difficult, such as the fact that many users are anonymous. This can cause a significant margin of error. But if the research is done so that users could also participate anonymously, this problem could be mitigated.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: January 17, 2017, 11:56:44 PM
What are some the more idiotic and stupid mistakes that you know you shouldn't have made but did anyway. Yes this includes other none gambling stuff like sending btc to the wrong address. I'm interested to find out the stupid things other people do.  Roll Eyes

Apart from losing some small amounts to gambling, the most stupid thing I did was bepositing my BTC on a trading site having no previous experience in trading. Of course I lost all my money in one day. Fortunately it was not over 0.01 but still, that was stupid.
It was lucky that was not a larger amount than that. Trading is a very risky business, especially altcoins trading, since most of the cryptos have a relatively small market which can be easily manipulated by just a few people. That is why in general it is not recommended this type of market for beginners.
160  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Fuck Coinbase on: January 17, 2017, 11:52:05 PM
I hope they are not in as bad a situation as some people say, because in this case there are few options for reliable exchanges. Even bitfinex has been hacked in the past year. A few months later coinbase went through legal problems. If we continue in this way users will be more insecure about using exchanges.
