801  Other / Off-topic / Re: if you have the 10 BTC where you want to spend it on: November 22, 2016, 03:04:56 PM
I would buy the Trezor cold storage and wait to have it to my home. Then, I would keep 1 bitcoin into Mycellium for the daily operations, if I want to buy something online. The rest I would transfer it to the Trezor cold storage and put it on a safe place.

802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: November 22, 2016, 02:55:50 PM
I see that everyone sees Bitcoin as this magical money making thing so here is a great way to make some money:

1. Learn a skill that is in demand.

2. Use that skill to make money in your worthless inflationary local currency.

3. Convert that worthless currency into bitcoins.

Boom. Now you have real money!

Spend as desired.

Bonus points if you can use your skill that is in demand to directly make bitcoins.

In some countries you can direct deposit your paycheck into bitcoins.
In the US you can use http://www.bitwage.co or PEY in Germany.
Yes you need skill to earn but besides of skill you also need to be smart to look for opportunity to earn and also you need to learn everyday so you can get new knowledge and new skill to help you earn, and learning a skill to earn bitcoin is not that easy it takes times and dedication

I think you need to find opportunity and try to find thing that people don't see and try to convert it in bitcoin or fiat currency. I agree than you always need to stay alert for new knowledge and try to learn skills that are in demand. Right now I am taking a course on how to build android applications and learn Java, hopefully I could use this news knowledge in a near future for freelancer jobs Wink
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Circle CEO on BTC: Nobody Will Be Using Bitcoin in 5 to 10 Years on: November 22, 2016, 11:12:05 AM
The mere fact that bitcoin has lasted until 2016 and is worth about $750 per bitcoin leads me to believe that it has a future. It at least has a chance to succeed as long as businesses and investors continue to use it.

This is probably on of the most important points which we should always try to keep in mind.
All that started as some very tiny nerdy experiment.
And look how far we've come so far!!
In almost 8 years we created a ~ $12billion transaction protocol which the media, niche and mainstram had been reporting about constantly over the last 4 years.
Who knows what the future will bring us? Bitcoin just as a digital vault and store of value could be worth several thousand if ten thousands per coin!!!
This is enough for me to stay positive and keeps me believe that Bitcoin will definitely have a place in one or many old and maybe new markets we may not think about right now.

The best is to stay in the moment present and stay away from the turbulence from story or websites any without real value. Today the price is strong and a big community believe in this technology, in 5 to 10 years will what is going to happen.

I agree with you about the last statement Wink
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Millions of People Use Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2016, 10:53:25 AM
I still believe the number isn't that high.
I would say 2-5 million seems to me the most realistic number at the moment.
There is adoption going on but it's not that much rising like a few might think.
We are still a very nerdy and technical focussed community which is far away from making a step to bigger number of users.
The reasons are mostly ease of use and lack and confidence in Bitcoin due to constant negative reports by the msm.
The blocksize dsipute and other inner conflicts may play a role as well.

However I hope to see a number of 10-30 million users until 2020.This might be a conservative number, but I try to stay realisitc and not expect too much.

The number will increase for sure because we start to hear everywhere the word bitcoin and people are curious about the technology. I think the number of users worldwide should be around 5 millions and the number will increase over time.

My estimation for 2020 should be around 30 millions or more Wink

806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible to hack your bitcoin from your wallet? on: November 21, 2016, 08:19:32 PM
Yes, it is really possible, and lost 0,08BTC that way, only 16$ at that time, but much more now. However, since I placed a password to my wallet (yeah, was pretty stupid to don't put one : I thought I'd have to enter it each time I would get into my wallet Tongue), never had any problem Wink !

That is not a big amount of money, but is never fun to get hacked and lost your money. If someone has access to your PC or your smartphone with a virus or malware, for sure he can access and transfer the fund to another bitcoin adresse.

Always a good idea to implement the basic security into your wallet Wink

807  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is a good investment now, because... on: November 21, 2016, 08:10:57 PM
Not now, bitcoin is always good investment. Look bitcoin's price movements and you will understand my words. It was 750$ yesterday, it become 750 so quickly in one day but today it's 730$. It will also quickly become more higher in some days and I won't be dissapointed if it will happen tomorrow. Also supply is fixed and after halving and halving it's price will become really much higher than it's today, it will be 2x and more higher. This halving didn't cause any important thing now but it don't means that it won't happen in future. Mining is not profitable for home miners and even it's hard for companies and for that people who has mining farm.

I think if you invest in bitcoin, you don't need to check the price fluctuation every day because that can cause stress. The best seen to buy it and hope the price will continue to rise in order to be able to get a profit from your initial investment.

When I check my own wallet I see the price change quickly Wink
808  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: November 21, 2016, 07:50:32 PM
bitcoin could be a fixed income every month. we just have to focus on the job. when we focus so we can get the best results. one of which is to invest in trading, we can make a profit in some time.
I had tryed trading on the last year, i had lost something like 0,40btc trying those, since those i left trading as its a lot pump and dump and i knew it, i were able to recover those with my savings and investing into others things, but i do regret had thinked trade were to be an easy way to get some income. I werent online all day, i will be trying forex on the next days, i do know the risk playing it, and i will risk 0,07 btc into it, i hope i can multiply it and earn some money at it as well.

I am very sorry to hear that you lost 0.40btc in trading, is never fun to lose that amount in Bitcoin. At least you seem not to have put all your investment in the same basket and you recover from it.

You should have got more knowledge and experience from that, the next time you will trade differently if you continue.
809  Economy / Economics / Re: millionaires of the world, be reminded... on: November 21, 2016, 11:15:30 AM
For me, it's not an issue since I'm not a millionaire. But if I'm one of them, I would not worry about this issue because there are still other alternatives to earn money aside from bitcoin investment. Millionaires are millionaires. They do have many businesses that are really profitable that makes them rich. So I think it wouldn't be an issue for them if this will gonna be the status in bitcoin.

Indeed bitcoin is not the world.  Anyone can survive without it, though I admit that bitcoin help me in my financial capability, but it is just one of those thousand assets that can be traded daily.  If someone does not have bitcoin it is not the end of the world for them, they might missed the opportunity with bitcoin but then i bet they are already enjoying another opportunity.

I think we can see the bitcoin as an opportunity to invest it and hold some for the future. You are right if you miss the boat to have some bitcoin under your belt is not the end of the world.

People will have other assets like gold, shares or simply have some money in a saving account in the bank to have peace in mind Wink

810  Economy / Economics / What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: November 21, 2016, 11:06:19 AM
in my opinion, the total of people on earth that own bitcoin by 2020 is about 30% because many things will be happen in next 3 years from now and we hope its the best time for bitcoin to be adopt by more people and more country so bitcoin will be more growth.

In my opinion the percentage will be more around 20%. More services will be available in 2020 with the utilization of bitcoin, so more people will start to use it and accept it. I think it will be so easy as to do a payment today with a credit card or debit card.

Every day more and more people start to use the bitcoin technology.
811  Economy / Economics / Re: millionaires of the world, be reminded... on: November 20, 2016, 12:12:44 PM
I think there is more than 16 millions millionaire. That's even sure. Just in Europe there is probably more than that.

I made a search on google to see how many millionaire on Europe and I found the following information on Wikipedia. You could verified the information by yourself at the following link.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millionaire

High Net Worth Individuals.
Europe 3.41 million $10.9 trillion

I hope on my lifetime to be able to reach that status Wink
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 16,000,000 BTC will have been mined in a few days on: November 19, 2016, 12:53:50 PM
Can experience a good price increase often as the mining of coins is been getting decreased on each halving. At the same the popularity and spreading has caused more people to enter bitcoin. So the need increases than the supply often resulting in the pumping of price as it happened this week.

I saw the price to get higher this week, if you look at it 16 millions is not a lot if you are consider that. The more and more who will enter in bitcoin and buy it, the supply will diminish and cause the price to go up.
813  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: November 19, 2016, 12:41:11 PM
I think the best way for a steady income is the only work in the real world, a fixed income of bitcoin, it will be very difficult, even when you joined the signature campaign. Undecided
Working in the real world give us monthly salary and saving that in the comming future in our life it's not really dificult to work if you really love what you are doing in your workd and signature campaign is not a good steady income because signature campaign is only for weeks nor months.
yes i agree but the op asked steady income in btc not working in real life.
steady income in btc i think not too difficult, if you do in mining, i think that's "whitout actively doing anything"
well, mining can make us earn a fixed income, but for the price that we be patient, as it may be revenue generated Minning was not much. maybe we should have a target for revenue every month, so it feels like we have a fixed salary. Well, you can develop a bitcoin that you have through trading
yeah right but i think it is good to start a business online than mining because the revenue is or earnings in mining bitcoin is not fixed.. it is changing. .but if you can start a business like exchange site it can be a good passive income..
If you can build a exchange like bitcoin to paypal and paypal to bitcoin it can many more people that can exchange to your site with low fee than virwox..
You are so ambitious man, you have to ensure you have the capital to start an exchange site. It is not that easy to say to have that, although the plan is good but how to ensure we can implement it so it will not remain as a dream. Being realistic is what we need here.

It is not a bad thing if a person wants to aim something higher and this is good to consider to build your own exchange site and compete to other popular ones. But before you can get steady income from it, you need to have a good marketing plan to let the people know that you have an exchange site that it better than the old ones.

The main thing you need is money or capital and everything will just follow.........

Money is not the only factor to consider for success, the most important is to have the motivation and the vision for what you want to accomplish. Without them, I think even is you have all the money in the world, you can't create an exchange or anything you have in your mind.

But, if you success to implement your exchange, for sure you can create an income for yourself.
814  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: November 19, 2016, 12:35:05 PM
Yes, I wrote a book (I talked about it in this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1420163).

It is a source of passive income because I sell it even if I sleep or I'm on vacations... it's on online stores, so people buy it without any further effort by me  Cheesy

When you have a good subject and you are very knowledgeable about the topic, you can make a nice profit from writing a e-book. Do you make a nice income from it on autopilot?

I had tried in the past to write an ebook of 10 pages, but I never got any sell.
815  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: November 18, 2016, 03:50:33 PM
Voted NO. No sourse of passive income unfortunately. Only what I earn every day is my income. O wait! Bitcoin! Since Bitcoin is rising in price it is a sourse of passive income. So yeah, actually I have one. This is not much, just a little bit over 1 coin, but still. I like I have it.

It can be a good source of passive income if you will just simply invest into some good casino's like bitvest.

This will give you a continuous profit and in the long run you will make a decent one just like what you are doing by holding.

So, if you will add those two type of investment then that can give you a passive income and just keep doing the cycle.

I don't understand how you can make a passive income when you invest in casino website like Bitvest. Normally in the gambling world, you lose money in the long run instead of making money from it.

I prefer to say is better to say that you make a profit when the price of Bitcoin is raising.
816  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: About mining rig rental's on: November 18, 2016, 10:55:50 AM
Hello guy's i have decided on renting a few mining rig's in the website https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/23856/ for my website and also for general mining purposes , is it a legitmate website which pay's.??

i am planning to rent this https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/18131/ one first and then move on higher .

I have selected slush pool and eligius.

Any pool suggestion  is welcome just want to know if the website if legit or not.

Just be careful, mining profitablility can change very fast, and sometimes its just better using the money to buy bitcoin.

I agree.. many mining company just using our money. I think they are actually the one who's renting mining rig.
the Return of investment was too slow. If you are about to make your own mining rig, Think and consider the expenses and earnings before you do it. plus make sure the capacity of your CPU can sustain your mining rig.

Personally I don't believe in this business of renting hashing power, if I was the owner I will simply found a way to make it profitable. Also, if I decide to do mining in the near future, I will simply learn to buy the hardware and to set up the rig myself.

Most of renting mining out there are sure to become scam in the end.

818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Popular myths about Bitcoin on: November 17, 2016, 05:51:20 PM
The most popular obe is among new people "bitcoin will make you rich quickly". Cheesy

Personally I think is a false illusion, even in the real world is not easy to become rich in a fraction of second. You need to work in order to get the bitcoins into your wallet, without action nothing will happen.

Even if you buy it with you own money, the price should increase to a good number in us dollar.
819  Other / Off-topic / Re: How did you discover bitcoin? on: November 17, 2016, 05:43:58 PM
I always love the subject about money and naturally I came on this topic on the internet via the google search engine. I wanted to know more and I read two books, then I created my wallet and the rest history.

My next step will be to learn programming in order to understand the source code Wink
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: November 17, 2016, 05:35:42 PM
Even bitcoin having a revolutionary technology, I do not think this would make the banks disappear. Many people still depend on banks, and these banks are institutions with a lot of financial resources, they could find ways to adapt.
It's common to hear news from banks working on projects related to blockchain technologies, for example.
as long as people continue to use fiat then everyone around the world will depend on the bank, I think the next step should be done bitcoin is more accepted, so users do not need to use bank to convert bitcoin to a fiat
We have no choice but to use it as it is only the legal tender that is honored in our country, you cannot buy fish in the market using your bitcoin so even if you have a lot of bitcoin, it will be useless if you will not convert it to fiat. Let's face and accept the reality for now.

Come on guys, there's another similar thread here talking about bitcoin banks and there's a lot of people saying that is a good idea, people always will trust in this wolfs. Sometimes I don't know what to think, they create an system to avoid banks and people don't wanna quit. Well, everyone can make their own chooses.

And bitcoin marketcap is a joke compared to banks Wink

I don't like the banks myself because they are there not to help people, but only make money from your money. I find the idea behind bitcoin a revolution because you have a value under your belt and have control over your money.

Instead the bank charge a fee to have a checking account, charge an interest to borrow for a home, charge a fee to buy shares, in the end is very frustrating... In the meantime I don't have a choice to continue to use the banks, but I am happy to grow my wallet in bitcoins and to use them in the future.
