1842  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the factor that affects the price of bitcoin on: January 26, 2023, 05:53:17 PM
Coin whales.

Everything else is pretty insignificant. If the whales decide to buy, the prices rise. If they panic, the prices fall. It is that simple.

Lol that's not necessarily true at all. Whales do definitely have a decent amount of impact in the markets, but they don't control the markets at all. The 2017 and 2021 bull markets were heavily influenced by retail traders.
1843  Other / Meta / Re: Why we do not have an official YT channel to counter mainstream? on: January 26, 2023, 05:05:02 PM
In the beginning, we can start with a small budget. We can request forum community members to follow as well as share the information provided in those videos. The other option is to create a child board on the YT channel and the rest would be taken care. I am not looking to compete with the mainstream media but want the forum to have a mouthpiece of its own on any social media. The forum itself would not be sufficient to fight those lies. We need a social media channel to counter them.

You're probably overestimating how much power the Bitcointalk community has. In the grand scheme of things — taking into consideration both Reddit and Twitter communities, Bitcointalk is just a drop in the bucket — a very small minority.
1844  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin will Rise Now !it is better to buy some more Bitcoin ,Where to buy from? on: January 26, 2023, 09:20:23 AM
Go with Bisq if you're not willing to submit AML/KYC documents. On the other hand, if you're fine with submitting such documents, go with whatever exchange is available in your locality(DYOR, of course; there are a lot of shitty local exchanges out there), or go with Binance.
1845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEX deserves all criticism but not the hate on: January 26, 2023, 05:49:45 AM
tl;dr Centralized exchanges are good for traders, and for buying and selling if you're fine with AML/KYC; and that's pretty much it. Total utter crap for storing coins for the long-term.

1846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin compete with CBDC's? on: January 26, 2023, 05:13:55 AM
Why do you think CBDCs are any different than your typical fiat currency? CBDCs are pretty much just fiat, but worse due to higher surveilance and likely higher governmental control.
1847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have gotten used to using bitcoin for payment but. .. on: January 26, 2023, 03:09:02 AM
Bitcoin is among the top 20 largest assets in the world and you are saying there's no demand? Cant agree on that anymore.

There's a huge huge difference between people wanting bitcoin as an investment/speculative vehicle, vs wanting bitcoin to pay for things online.
1848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big money bad for bitcoin in the long run on: January 26, 2023, 02:08:20 AM
All this complaints about whales and big money — it works almost the same exact way with any other markets. You can't have a market where it's all 100% retail investors with small-mid amounts of money; especially when talking about bitcoin — something that's supposed to be more distributed.

Everyone has the right and freedom to buy, own, or sell bitcoin. Whether you like it or not. The market will continue to work normally, by being moved by typical buy/sell offers and executions.
1849  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paypal are scammers like the FTX bitcoin exchange on: January 26, 2023, 01:56:20 AM
The people who earn 99%. from people are hire developers to create bugs such as you cannot be verified AND TAKE YOUR MONEY AND AFTER 6 MONTHS YOU WILL LOSE IT .
When they supposed to allow your witdhraw after 6 months.

Yea, that's a little bit too much tinfoil hat-ish. There are no hiring of developers to create bugs, it's just PayPal themselves that are making the decision to not return the funds.
1850  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The one thing I still don't get about crypto and Tax on: January 25, 2023, 04:02:19 PM
But why the hell are the government taxing people on their profits when they aren't ready to take responsibility for their losses to fraud and theft?  Why the hell are they using the word " its unregulated " as an excuse but still take money from people?

I mean, that's how taxes work in general in most countries regardless if it's cryptocurrencies, stocks, or running a business — and regardless if whatever the thing they're taxing is regulated or not.
1851  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I might be wrong about this but I need to know on: January 25, 2023, 03:24:46 PM
Every since, cloud mining services are either:

1. A scam
2. Very unprofitable

I wouldn't touch such services with a ten-foot pole unless you want to just mess around and burn money.
1852  Other / Meta / Re: Why we do not have an official YT channel to counter mainstream? on: January 25, 2023, 03:10:02 PM
Unless you have enough budget to actually go against mainstream media, then you're likely to not end up doing anything meaningful. Like, there have been so much FUD since the past years even though there are lots of good content out there that already have debunked most FUD — but yet, here we are with still lots of FUD.
1853  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is bitcoin a good chance for the future on: January 25, 2023, 02:48:25 PM
I don't know much about bitcoin, and I also want to invest in bitcoin, but I want to ask whether bitcoin has good potential for the future?

Go do your own research, then go decide for yourself.

and what,, many people who lose investing in bitcoin.? and I want to know why people experience losses investing in bitcoin?

1. Trading (not investing)
2. Overleveraging when trading
3. Buying shitcoins and not knowing when to get out
1854  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paypal are scammers like the FTX bitcoin exchange on: January 25, 2023, 02:03:07 PM
I'm not sure as it will totally depend on how your case will progress, but for now it just seems like very bad customer support. I'll bet there's still a huge chance that you'll gain back access to your funds.

But on the other hand, checkout the PayPal subreddit. Lots of cases of PayPal locking up user's funds for months and months and end up keeping the money anyway.
1855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My step to promote bitcoin on: January 25, 2023, 01:51:50 PM
No offense, but the sticker tagline is giving me scammy vibes, and that's definitely not the vibe you want people to be getting. I prefer stickers with a more interesting message such as "defund the state"(on the top of my head) and such.
1856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I started instilling a bitcoin saving system on: January 25, 2023, 01:13:08 PM
The only way for us to know if what you're doing is right or wrong is if we totally have a grasp on what your financial situation is and what your financial responsibilities are.

In general though, you seem to be doing it responsibly by having more local currency than bitcoin. That way, you wouldn't be forced to sell your bitcoin if it's the case that you suddenly need a good amount of your local currency.
1857  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens next if Bitcoin drops to zero? on: January 25, 2023, 01:03:56 PM
1. Very unlikely. Something needs to be invented that would totally blow bitcoin out of the water both in terms of technology and economic theory.

2. It wont, because I will be heavily bidding. Or I guess, it can happen if humanity ceased to exist.
1858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your successes over the past 5 years on: January 24, 2023, 04:30:26 PM
How well have you managed to increase the balance on your account during this time? Or have you lost everything?

Gained so much more compared to if I just held BTC. How? I traded shitcoins. No — not by reading charts all day, but by trading narratives and buying platform tokens that seems to be getting a lot of usage and revenue/fees. My "trades" range from a few days to almost a year.

^I wouldn't recommend doing this to anyone, though. As chances of picking shitcoins that will perform really badly is quite high if you don't know what you're doing.
1859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exit liquidity on: January 24, 2023, 03:34:36 PM

Unfortunately you can't just cancel influencers just like that. Influencers will always exist as long as people continue give them the publicity they need to continue being relevant. Even the shitstain that is BitBoy is still hugely relevant today despite his PnDs being exposed multiple times already.
1860  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please Help, Am Running low on ideas. on: January 24, 2023, 03:23:53 PM
Why are you even forcing yourself to create topics to the point that you're actually asking for help lol? If you don't have much to contribute through creating a thread, then simply don't. At least until you think of something actually worth discussing.
