When I tired to do a transaction the wallet gave me an error saying the transaction failed because it was too large.  I had to break it up into a number of smaller transactions to get it work.  What might cause that?

...all said and done, KoreCoin is working 100%  No staking issues lately.

NICE TO SEE YOU ON BOARD AGAIN CAPTAIN DEV!
If you agree i will start to create a new Website for us.
I am not the Best but i can offer a better one then the old cryptcoin Clone Website from the old dev.
Please. Come at last one time daily to say gello  Grin
If i am finish with the Website,  you must only reward the Domain to the new link.
Kindes Regards Btcage

Great of you to make that offer, btcage.

[Also, I don't think it's necessary to ask 'captain dev' to say hello everyday (although I'm sure you were simply being light-hearted and making a joke.)  Nevertheless, I'm sure he will say hello whenever he feels like it!   Cheesy   Just saying, the man doesn't need to feel obliged to do anything.  That is the best environment for a developer (not to feel beholden to anyone or anything), and, often, the same goes for people in general.  I know the the community would like to 'see' him around "a lot", but the community should not have all kinds of expectations.  Eurbids will no doubt do what he feels he must or wants to do, and, going be his track record, he's done A LOT already.]

I think a new website would be wonderful.  KoreCoin could do with a new one!  Thank you.

I have sold all my Korecoins just now. I realized an emotional DEV would not lead the coin too further unless there is a well-organized project manager. I am out now.

For be clean, I'm not an employee of this community. I don't take a salary for be online everyday 24h. I'm free to come or not related on my commitments in the RL, of my work or my private life.

If you trust in this coin, you have not reason to lost it. If you don't trust it, better to go.

Well-said, Eurbids.

...and good to see you again!  I hope all is well with you.

366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ KoreCoin v2.0 ★★ [KORE] New ERA - 100% FULL ANON - 100% PoS - TOR - DICE GAME on: July 29, 2014, 03:09:49 PM
Is Eubids still working for this community?

He's probably taking a break. He's been working so hard. I bet he will be back. You can do what you want

That is a good question, one I was afraid to ask because of what it would do to the price but I still bought again today....hope it wasn't a mistake.

DEV/Eurbids:

I read through his posts.
He has had this issue numerous times with the KORE Community not staking and getting the Blockchain Stuck
and has been very honest about the importance of the Community Doing Their Part staking the coin
while he was up at times nearly 3 days getting KORE's Code to the point it is now.

We don't know at this time IF a bug OR a DDoS attack has been the main issue making it seem as though nobody was staking.
I say this because a few have PM'd me to verify they had their wallet/wallet's staking at the time the blockchain first got stuck.

The fact the blockchain has been off and on stuck for last few days and the fact IF you leave your wallet staking though the blockchain get's stuck your wallets get the full amount of reward once the blockchain frees up and the blockchain shows those blocks it should have makes me consider it's a bug or DDoS attack.

IMO-Eurbids had it and expressed that clearly.
All his hard work many sleepless nights pumping out fixes and code three times as fast as multiple Dev's
were able to do on some prominent Coins....and where was the Community.
I fall guilty too as I was not staking at all.
I never wanted to stake.
Not that I'm a speculator wanting to sell out at the first sign of an upswing because I have only
increased our holdings this entire time.
I do believe Eurbids will confirm and others here that We have been 100% Supportive of KORE in any way we could.
We do have our Valid Reasons why we did not want to stake however there was a dire need so we now stake 24/7.
So I can understand why others were not and do not want to stake while being fully for KORE long term.

IMO-Eurbids has Taught the KORE Community a NEEDED LESSON in a "Tough Love" type of way.
And What I see is the KORE Community has risen to the occasion spectacularly.
Albeit a bit slow but it's completely understandable and acceptable under the said conditions.

Your guess is good as mine when Eurbid will be back. We do not know his circumstances but I will give him
more than ample time as he's been nearly 24/7 for the last 4 weeks and we don't know what other responsibilities he has let slip and needs to put his full effort to bring those up to where they should be.

Ones have contacted me and possibly some others here asking to help in the Dev, Promotion, Marketing and Investment departments since they see the high potential of KORE Mainly due to it's Dev, Eurbids hard work and Innovative Ideas, tech, abilities and no nonsense straight forwardness Very hard to find in the Alt/Anon coins.

Maybe the Dev will consider to allow them to do the more simple tasks while he concentrates on the code and
all his Incredible Ideas.

Fact is ALL our work put together is a drop in the bucket compared to the efforts Eurbid's put in.
Maybe we could consider always keeping that in mind and also not giving him a hard time IF and when he comes back.
 Smiley

The Dev knows Most of ones concerns and what drives that concern is the share price and this is a tough one as I see Dev's all the time on other coins saying the share price is not their main concern.
And bingo! the share price drops.
Only NOW do I dare try to understand what they mean by that statement.
It's not their "MAIN" concern BUT a Concern it is.
Notice how many "Investors" Selfishly Narrowly Focus the one Part of that statement...and bash the Dev.
The Devs get it. That's ALL Those who bash him care about...while the Devs are hard at work trying to make a superior coin.
So IF you have bashed the Dev by PM you might want to consider sending an apology.

OK, time to move on...

Where do we go from here?
The KORE Community is working hard on the Forum and by PM behind the scenes
to see that KORE becomes fully implemented as best can be over time.

We all know this waiting period could be a Fudsters and low bidders dream and they are the ones that have to live
with themselves as mark my words..."Life Goes Full Circle"...It might take many years BUT I've seen time and again
that Most do not escape this fact nor do they even consider it could happen to them and in that exposes their predominant flaw.

Regarding Zerocoin:

Read the Dev's Words Carefully on the main page:
He has been testing Zerocoin and realized it won't work and all coins saying it will may not be telling the truth.
Now what other Dev tells it like it is???

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=668886.msg7561628#msg7561628

ZEROCOIN / DARKKORE
I've realized a way we can apply the zerocoin idea to our coin.
This code, though already present on many coins I think will not work properly. It's old and was only a theory.
You can read on the zerocoin website and come to understand they have still yet to migrate from zerocoin to zerocash code.
Zerocash will work on the Bitcoin 0.9.1 wallet, because in this wallet version the Bitcoin developers have implemented a new Chains management.
The new Bitcoin is able to manage many Chains at the same time, with the same wallet software.
This new feature permits zerocash to work properly : Bitcoin transactions going in main chain, zerocash transactions going to an alternative chain.
The need is to merge the TXs of these two chains. But they have not finished development.

KORECoin doesn't have much interest in zerocash. First because our wallet is not ready to be 0.9.1 based.
It's a large amount of work to migrate, because it requires rewriting half of the code.

I've found a viable alternative solution, based from the zerocoin idea, that we will be calling DarkKore.
Where Dark doesn't come from DarkCoin, but comes from "DarkNet".
We are already, in the DarkNet by using imbedded TOR, and the new feature that's based on zerocoin is very similar.
This feature will send transactions "in the dark", under the normal chain,
and convert the coins when the owner wants (like two wallets, one normal and one hidden).

I've already begun to write the code and will continue to update the thread as I have news.

He does not state the code he is writing is in the current code however he does state he "tried Zerocoin Implementation" but realized it won't work.

Might consider reading the main page a few times to fully understand how straight forward and incredible Eurbids is and more than proven to be. He does not say it the way many Devs do as a blow hard or with a Megaphone NOR a P&D type of way.
I and Many Others who "Get the Dev" Highly Respect how he operates, who he is and makes us realize who of us do not have our very own flaws...

IMO- Do your own DD
(Due Diligence) and make up your own mind as to what you should do under your circumstances.

Best to the KORE Community.
 Smiley Smiley Smiley

Very well stated, Mike!

There is so much potential here: For KoreCoin and for the KoreCoin community.

Eurbids, if you are reading this: Again, since the moment I was convinced of how good KoreCoin is, and jumped onboard, I've had nothing but admiration for what you have done.  Please consider that there is much support in this community for KoreCoin.  Some of us have been staking non-stop.  I can tell you that I have, since I started using KoreCoin!  I have not stopped staking, not once.  Got two wallets staking 24/7.  There clearly were also some very well-intentioned people also in the community who did not realise that they needed to stake.  Not everyone understands all the technicals, and so they simply did not know it was necessary.  Staking was new to me as well (having only used PoW coins previously.)  I did not know "staking was absolutely necessary", but I did stake nonetheless, and continue to do so; it simply seemed like the right thing to do so that's what I did.  NOW I realise the importance of staking, and will remind everyone to do so, especially newcomers!

Undoubtedly there were a bunch of speculators; and there will always be with any coin.  It's the way people are.  We simply have to accept that just as we accept the sky is blue and the grass is green.  Again, that is what every coin attracts to some degree or other.  What is most important, however, is that there are sufficient members of a community who are sincerely interested in seeing things develop and who will assist in keeping things moving forward.  These members, as we have clearly seen there are numerous of them here, are what can serve as the anchor, or crew, keeping the 'ship' steady, whilst you, the captain, steer the ultimate direction and decide the destiny of the project.  Together history can be made.  Let KoreCoin write that history.  It is up to you, and we are here to assist.  Just shout and let us know if there is anything we can do assist you in any way.

Dev,

I've heard from some that they were staking during the time the issue started and never stopped staking.
Could it have been what's happening now?
Which is what I presume to be a DDoS Attack or a bug as when it's not stuck all the transactions/blocks are seen.

I've been staking 24/7, non-stop, myself.

Singing, This'll be the day that I buy!

ALL the staking payouts went through in one lump sum IF you left your wallet staking...
which makes me think DDoS attack but don't quote me...
 Smiley

It's gotta be a DDoS or something ('attempted "51%" PoS attack'?) along those lines.  That's the only thing that makes sense.

Not bad at all!!

I think we should now discuss how we wanna contribute to the KoreCoin Community so we can start doing things. (Big things!!  Wink )

Please write down if you want to colaborate time to time or everyday, how you can contribute, everything com should know, ...

- I'm running @NewKoreCoin and @KoreAnonSkype in twitter and KoreCoin Community in Facebook. (Not tweeting as much as I should.)
- I can translate to the spanish everything we need.

I offered to translate into proper sentence structure and do marketing/promotions ideas.
You have the PM.
I would like the Dev's approval for this position as it was originally offered to me by him.
I have no issues if you have the time and know-how to market but we should collaborate by PM and keep the Dev in the loop for all final decisions.

Thank you, Mike and Rw13enlib88.  That will be a great service to the community.

On Windows you can set up multiple Windows user accounts and run a separate wallet within each one at the same time.  More wallets staking = good.  I'm sure one can do the same on other OSes.

If you divide your coins in more addresses will be the same Wink

All my coins are in the wallet and staking since now.  Wink

I closed my wallet and opened it again but a Note says we are not staking because we don't have mature coins.

We were just staking prior to closing the wallet and re-opening it.

What happened?

I see that all the time.  "Not staking because you don't have mature coins", but nonetheless it does still stake(!)  Just wait an hour or two and you should see staking payments coming in.

Dunno why the message shows there, which is does for me most of the time as well, even when it is staking (shows coin next to "Staking:", that's how I know), and my wallets seemingly are staking all the time (although I do see them randomly, for brief periods of time, like 1 or 2 seconds, not staking and then it jumps back to coins showing up next to the "Staking:" label again.)  It has me wondering whether it is "normal" behaviour or something else going on.  In other words, perhaps it is staking intermittantly, and, in which case, I'm wondering if I'm getting the full staking payments.

I think it's this:

1-IF you close wallet and re-open it the coins that were deposited from staking need to mature.
2-When you deposit more coins to a wallet those new coins need to mature.
So it stakes the coins that were there already BUT is waiting till the NEW Coins mature before it stakes them also.
Make Sense?
Update: Yep...All coins now staking on this wallet too...

BTW-Staking is Kewl!
Everyone should do it!
 Wink

I must just add: That since 'the issue', yesterday: when it happened, I reloaded my blockchain in one of my wallets (deleted the blockchain files.)  That was the first thing I did, thinking it might be something going on with my wallet, before we knew what the cause was; and, since then my wallet seems to, properly, show the staking icon all the time! (as would be expected.)  So it seems I've managed to inadvertently fix that issue with my wallet!  Smiley

If anyone else is experiencing an issue with not seeing the staking icon (after waiting the 8 hours for coins to mature, first, of course), then that's what seems to have fixed it for me!

Previously I had suspected that the issue might be caused by NAT which is used on the network I'm on, but it seems I 'just' needed to reload my blockchain and it worked properly.

Just an FYI:
My two wallets were first time uploaded yesterday.
Staking Icon does not appear in the two examples given above
even though example #2 is staking...
Once the newly deposited coins do mature
then the Icon appears and all show as staking.

My staking icon would not appear at all, even after the mature period, and longer, was past.  Sometimes it would appear randomly for a couple of minutes but most of the time it would not show - even though there would be coins showing next to staking and there would be staking transactions coming in.  My (recent) [what I thought was a] solution to that issue was to reload the blockchain.  My staking icon seems to be showing 'randomly' now.  Sometimes there, sometimes not, but it still says it is staking my coin.  Perhaps I have Internet connection issues I need to look into, or it maybe it's my NAT, which might be the cause.  Dunno what that's about, but whatever it is it doesn't seem 'serious' and at least it seems to be working (in some way or other.)

Glad to hear your coins are staking and that everyone else's wallets are working too.

Wallet works staking works VOIP in development DarkKore and other cool shit most of us cant even begin to comprehend. If you don't already have at least 20k Kore, you are missing out....Buy Buy Buy!

P.S. If you dump I will enjoy your cheap coins! Thank you

Agreed, I really like KoreCoin and everything is working just fine!

Some 'teething issues' can be expected with any new product or technology, and, I think, considering that, things are going well.  Again, the dev has done a great job!

Yeah, anyone wanna dump some cheep coins, I will buy them!

What happen yesterday is very serious, and it's the second time that happen. I can understand the first time, after old-dev gone and people don't know what will happen and going on the exchange ready to sell. But NOW no, I don't understand it. Like I don't understand for who I still to working ? for people that don't have care about this coin ? all speculator here ?

I'm sorry but I really start don't like this community that disappointed me very much.

I habe all my coins on wallet no one is on exchanges!
Some people are unbelievers but this does not mean we all are like them.

Same here.  I've kept all my coins in my wallets all the time.  I never keep coins at exchanges anyway.

So do I! All coins are in the wallets and staking. And what happened yesterday is very weird indeed. It seemed that everyone just stopped staking at one time.

BTW, will it help if I divide the coins  in my wallets  among different addresses, so the PoS blocks could be found more often?

P.S. Dev, chill out, we, the community allways support you and what you do for KORE! You can count on us!  Wink
