Wow, BTC price hit $1126USD today and is still rising.

Economics would suggest around $1200 to keep a par with the block halving in July. It's nice to see it getting up, especially as miners because we get the the same amount of BTC no matter the conversion Smiley.

Glad to have pointed my first 13.5 S9 at the pool  Grin  I am looking forward to the next one, in a week, but still need a PSU.

...nothing loose or making any noise.

I opened a ticket and waiting for a response. The problem is having to pay $250 to ship it back to them. Fed-Ex US -> China, isn't cheap.

Open a claim with FedEx because it was likely damaged in shipping.

...nothing loose or making any noise.
I'll probably wind up send it to Colorado for repairs.

Well, if China doesn't work out ... that really sucks though.  Where at in CO?I hope you lucked out and got it at the 1445 price when BTC took a jump.  I am thinking BITMAIN may be getting used to wanting to keep customers. This is my first order.

The problem is there is so little competition and you're not getting the same hash.
283  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: February 22, 2017, 02:27:08 AM
Got my Feb 28th s9 today. Plugged it in and 1 board is only reading 37 asics instead of 63 ...

Did you shake it lightly to see if a heat sink fell off?

From what I understand, I would stop hashing immediately and open a ticket.  Sad

I got my 13.5 TH/s, Feb 28, today.  I'm getting 13.6 ...
284  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: February 22, 2017, 02:22:32 AM
My March 1 S9 shipped last night.  It shows it was picked up and it already has an red Exception warning on the FedEx tracking page.  Curious.  Thrilled it's early, but the Exception thing always worries me.  I wish they had not lost UPS.
Glad that they shipped early. What does the fedex exception say?

I agree.  I hate FedEx.  #ihateFedEx

They owe me over $1800 ...
285  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: February 21, 2017, 12:32:04 AM
I never had a delivery from Bitmain on Monday in US, but maybe you will.

You're right.  It left HK yesterday and arrived in Alaska today.  FedEx sent me updated delivery for tomorrow by 10:30am.  I should have my first S9, 13.5TH/s, tomorrow!!!

287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: February 18, 2017, 10:10:00 PM
No china isn't controlling bitcoins. Nobody is controlling it only you people with lot's of bitcoins can somewhat change price.
Correct . even though in countries china development bitcoin bitcoin very fast but can not be controlled by anyone. one no one could predict the bitcoin

China manipulates its currency and has since the Clinton years.  They keep it artificially low by printing money and building empty buildings (or even cities) and other ways others can explain much better than myself. This can have a ripple effect on the price because of the rate of adoption in China and where people see the greater store.  If the CYN begins to rise, then large holders will probably convert BTC to CYN.

Having said that ... their Central Bank has been having secret talks and two or three of their larger exchanges have stopped withdrawls. Their government plays a large role in their economy and China play a large role on the global stage.  Bitcoin's nature makes it highly fungable through institutional borders. Their quick adoption of BTC leads the West to get confused at the way their government operates.

In either of these two cases, I believe, China's governmental policies and processes can cause a scare.

What I want to know is why our THs is going down?  Currently at 19286 THs. Do people not want the good luck we are having, so they leaving to other pools Smiley

Canaan left.  I think they may be a Chinese firm who are starting their own pool.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch the world currencies flow into BTC in realtime on: February 18, 2017, 08:27:17 PM
Real-time currency flow into countries cannot be viewed ... [the coin] moves towards the country in the form of fiat.

Panama uses USD and has anonymous bank accounts.

Any country using USD as a store of exchange would throw the coin at the USA on the map? Bien interesante.  Undecided

the OP's link seems to be looking at the "buy" order data ... its only a small scope of the entire bitcoin economy.

I agree.  It would be nice to see sell or a "heat map" of trades, similiar to this for bicycle transportation.

290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Watch the world currencies flow into BTC in realtime on: February 18, 2017, 05:01:13 PM
I came across this cool site and thought I would share it with you:http://fiatleak.com/

It shows money going into BTC live into each county and currency. This is pertinent with the current geopolitical climate with China, India, trade policy discussions and such.

Do you know cool analysis sites?

Enjoy!
291  Other / Off-topic / Re: How are you earning BTC? on: February 18, 2017, 04:34:42 PM
I do not recommend faucet sites.

No kidding!  I lost .98 BTC.

So as of this moment, I'm only earning bitcoin through a signature campaign here on bitcointalk forum.

How are you earning bitcoin?

I mine at Kano CKPool.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Daily use of bitcoin? on: February 18, 2017, 04:25:27 PM
Hi friends,

As far as I know, bitcoin payments take a little time to approve. Will these approval times make it difficult to use bitcoin in our daily lives?
For example, I would get a coffee from Starbucks. Do I have to wait for approval to pay for what I have done for hours?

Good question.

Right now, I am waiting for a couple more confirmations so I can pay to watch Magic Money: The Bitcoin Revolution with BTC.

Processing time is something of great discussion and perceptions will need to improve.  I believe this should happen through design.  For example, going from command prompt to window/mouse.

Technically, Starbucks payment processing does not begin until they "batch" the system at close.  Then, when the bank opens, the money is added to their account the next day.

293  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: February 17, 2017, 11:31:32 PM
So anyone has received S9's FEB/MAR preorder earlier than the specified shipment date?

Mine was supposed to be shipped the 20th and I have a Fedex notice that it is arriving the 17th, so yes. Smiley

I just received and update to my shipping arrival date of Friday the 17th will now be Monday the 20th.
Yeah, mine just updated today as well. Sad  Looks like they might have been a bit optimistic in printing the labels.

The FedEx tracking shows, "Scheduled Delivery Mon 2/20/2017 by 10:30 am" in Montana, USA.
294  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: February 17, 2017, 11:19:14 PM
I have a 100% failure with #iHateFedEx on international shipments.

EDIT: On anything other than documents.

Would just object, they aren't that bad.

In 2003, I had an international shipment [guitar] that failed. Back then, they gave me my money back (which was close to $1000).

In March 2016, I sent another package internationally and it failed, but was sent back to me.  They blamed customs and said I filled out the paperwork wrong.  I created an account, resent the package (at $300).  It failed.  I flew to the destination country to hunt down the package.  The people at FedEx would not talk to me, but instead sent me to a city called San Martín.  I found out there that it would cost $400 because of storage fees.  I paid FedEx.

In December 2016, I sent an extremely important and urgent package internationally.  I paid $900.  It failed.  They blamed me, but I know it's because they made me put details of all 30 items instead of the normal clumping. #ihateFedEx

I am nervous about anything shipped FedEx, except paperwork.
295  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: February 16, 2017, 10:41:21 PM

Received the BITMAIN ORDER SHIPPED today for Scheduled delivery: Fri 2/17/2017 by 4:30 pm.  I hope this is correct since the Anticipated ship date: is Thu 2/16/2017.

I got the same today.  This is my first order.  How long until they arrive and is there anything to worry about with customs, e.g., need to be a registered importer? It's shipping FedEx and I have a 100% failure with #iHateFedEx on international shipments.

... we are lucky to have anyone selling us miners the way btc mining has gone all corporate.

No doubt.  That's why I am buying these things.  They seem to be getter bigger scale and, then, do we know how to make S9 style in the US?  China is ahead of the West in BTC. The only group I know about is BitFury and I'm not sure they're US and it looks like they specialize in 15PH/s mobile centers.
298  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How much would you charge to setup miners? on: February 16, 2017, 03:42:12 AM
If in the USA, charge $175/hr

I think that's maybe a little high for Montana.  Here, it would be $50 +$75 per hour.

Because of forum posts like this, which might deter "idiots like me" from buying from them, and maybe a few class actions... However, they are always welcome to fix their problems if they really want to...

Are they really that bad?  I mean it sucks USA doesn't design/build too, but I just ordered my first two S9s.  I assume most have a good experience or they would not stay in business.  Plus, I have an S3 that claims to have 1100 days of activity clocked.
