You have to be careful with cats and bags though. "The cat is out of the bag" is a nautical term, and it refers to the cat'o'nine tails, and this was used as a fairly severe punishment on the old sailing ships. Miscreants could get 100 or so lashes. The phrase comes from the fact that the punishment "cat" was kept in a bad, and just before the punishment was read out, the cat was removed from the bag.

"I don't give a dam" is another interesting one, and "dam" is spelt correctly. The dam was the smallest coin in the days of the Indian Raj.
Nice add up about the 'cat' I will also try to read the book and grasp more details.
The only thing I know about India is they have a fiat currency called 'Rupee' I discover that fact when I played Zelda game. seems a little bit Off-Topic.

Don't worry, we will still pay your week 1 works.
The CEO just informed me about it after trying it in Binance, 3 days after the end of the week.
Since he was busy doing campaign in their country.
We are fallible every time especially if undesirable situation occur.
if that is inevitable you could just have paid half members from your own wallet and deduct it once you get the funds.
it will give ease from other members.

We might have a different notion of the "competent".
I handle the signature campaign, yes
But I don't handle the funds.
The rules in the campaign were seen and verified by the CEO before I posted it
That's the main problem the necessary one.
Sorry if I offended you in someway.

If you want, I can pay you eth right now, for i don't have bitcoin.
Just dm me your eth add
We already contacted an escrow to make the payments next week.

if that is the solution you came with. please send it whenever you see fit. no need to direct message, cause I trust you.

Sorry about that, I posted it without thinking.

I don't think it would be possible to compile  list as they are country specific, nd some have long forgotten historic associations.

For example " pull the wool over your eyes" goes back to the days of highwaymen, and it describes the last action of the robber before he rides off. He would reach over and pull the gentleman victim's wig over his eyes. This gave him a precious few seconds before the victim could pull out his pistol, and aim it.

"let the cat out of the bag" comes from the old days of livestock sales in markets. A buyer would choose a piglet, and the seller would put it into a sack for ease of transportation. The seller would secretly switch the sack for one contining a feral cat. If he didn't keep the neck of the sack closed, then the cat could escape. "Don't buy a pig in a poke" is a realted expression - poke was an old word for a sack.

:-D For a better communication/conversation we need to at least use known/general idiomatic/Figure of speech.

Nevertheless I've learned another historical term I can use in speculation/trading. especially let the cat out of the bag.
So I think generally speaking if someone really want to improve in English language he/she needs to pull the wool over their eyes when they only come here from knowing that a free pig in a poke is available here while only posting, and before they knew the cat get out from the bag.

It seems to be that this thread is more appealing than the stated thread Jet Cash announced.

I don't have a proper lesson about advice as a noun and advise as a verb, it is just my personal knowledge and I concluded for a very long time that advise and advice is just similar and doesn't differ from itself. and I personally thanks Jet cash for pulling me out of that insatiable bliss.

P.S And I just want to add up, could you somehow add in your thread how to use figure of speech.

Somehow I don't understand TMAN, act, nullius, you, and other member when they are utilizing unfamiliar phrases/words regarding figure of speech. they are using term that is not well known in general knowledge. (e.g: Horses, water and drinking spring to mind.) but when I googled the phrase it is quite understandable only for an individual who also know the story behind the phrase.

Token rewards will be sent at the end of ICO. Bitcoin payment will be done 1-3 days after each week. Campaign will last for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of 4 weeks
I'm perfectly fine with that, hope this suits to other participants also. Thank you.

No it doesn't suit very well to other applicants as campaign manager stated that bitcoin payment will be sent in the following 1-3 delayed days, and another layer of delay payments was presented to us starting me to believe or think that our campaign manager is incompetent in this field, as he/she could just paid all of the participants upfront despite the lack of communication from the CEO of the campaign he/she was handling.

On top of that this will be my sayonara post to the campaign manager as I participated in another campaign, and will try to do so until I'm accepted in a different campaign cause I don't have any money to pay for all the ads chasing me around the web, therefore Thanks for a quality opportunity you give to me, I hope the campaign will still be successful also I believe the projects is going to become successful as this is Nollywood new era of entertainment.

P.S I trust the campaign manager to still pay me for my last week payments of 140$, 20$ in BTC and $120Nollycoin

367  Other / Meta / Re: Educational Ban: grant TMan and Jet Cash temporary ban powers on: March 08, 2018, 07:11:12 AM
TMAN and Jet Cash don't have time to check every Newbie and Jr.Member they come across with while doing things in their respective time.

And it isn't appropriate to ban someone if they didn't broke the rules at the first place.

You just don't know that someone is working behind the scene I clearly remember it like it happened yesterday that I was banned for bumping a thread that I thought wasn't against the rules. I was not allowed to wear a Signature for 2 or 3 weeks back then.
but it helps me to discover the community in more depth details.

if that situation bestow to someone else they might produce the same or better results as I did.

What kind of bs is this?Huh I'm so mad at bitcointalk's bigotry.

You're talking about anonymity and decentralization, but you're trying to centralize btc as an English-major coin!

Bitcoin is international, and it should be global. Making a big fuss about English skills and acting like bitcoin is only in English demeans the effort to get bitcoin trusted worldwide,

Bitcoin doesn't need a language barrier on top of all its other current barriers.

Your response is nonsense if you carefully read the O.P you will not post/comment on a whim.
He doesn't making a big fuss or stating that Bitcoin is only for English speaker.
369  Other / Meta / Re: I've started an english language inprovement thread on: March 07, 2018, 03:02:00 PM
My main language is primarily not English.

Furthermore upon investigation to your thread it was a self-moderate one, additionally you specifically said in that thread we could somehow contribute if English is our first language.

Should I dive in to contribute to your thread? or You will only allowed a person whose first language is English to advice someone or ask a question?

P.S Enlighten me with this one.
it piques my interest to help anyone whose genuinely seeking to improve themselves.

I talked to the CEO and he said that he can't release micropayments from binance
So 20$ and 10$ payment wasn't paid yet
Now, I will for an escrow to send the payment
Or, if you guys want,
You can always claim it this coming week
Join our bounty group so we can discuss the solution you are comfortable with

t.me/nollycoinbounty

Thanks for the information regardless of no one asking why the payments have been delayed.

i know it's a long shot and i'm not trying to scam anyone/get negative rep

lock the thread then.  Embarrassed

First two post straight to the lending section.  Roll Eyes

it draws a lot of evidence that I can personally say, you are a scammer.
why don't you speak out what items or physical collateral you have?
372  Other / Meta / Re: Rules how to give merits? on: March 06, 2018, 02:52:17 PM
Without having to back up his so called "rules". Decided to change topic.

As simple as that, im just answering the question OP gave prior to my knowledge. Self proclaim rule is rather amusing.

No one said you aren't answering O.P question.

it is not about backing up the information I also answer O.P question to the best of my knowledge without adding unnecessary opinion that could be misleading, sometimes we need to be perspectively capable of deciphering subtle meaning in a post to comprehend what it really wants to convey.
373  Other / Meta / Re: Rules how to give merits? on: March 06, 2018, 09:09:17 AM
Im pretty much aware of what you are talking about. But please link to me on where i can see the rules that you stated(if its made by theymos). We are talking here about the rules and not a "reasonable" consensus, theres a big difference between the two. Until you can point me out if there is a consensus about the rules, then i rest my case or rather having a "reasonable" argument with you.

Unfortunately there's no general agreement prior to merit system.

However it is base on someone discretion according to forum history to left someone in the lurch with aboveboard conversation.
374  Other / Meta / Re: Rules how to give merits? on: March 06, 2018, 08:50:52 AM

From were exactly you got that rule of yours?( please direct or link me that it came from theymos or cyrus) A self proclaimed rules like yours cant be obeyed or followed by forum members. There should be a consensus among DT member and/or mod for that of rule to be functional. If you were theymos then your words are absolute but since you are a self proclaim rule maker then your rules are trash.

If you read the threads, you will see tht there is a reasonable consensus about awarding merit. Some members push the envelope, but they appear to be aware they are doing it.

It appears he/she doesn't aware what I'm talking about back there.
He/She needs to convert thyself in The nullian Bitcult for severity of understanding.
375  Other / Meta / Re: Rules how to give merits? on: March 06, 2018, 08:08:53 AM
There is no rules.
If you got caught cheating the merit system
If there are no rules, how can you cheat the system?

I've stated the rules everyone should follow, however it doesn't suit few members here.
376  Other / Meta / Re: Rules how to give merits? on: March 06, 2018, 06:22:39 AM
Actually there's a rule that eveyone should follow.
Thou shall not merit a post that doesn't meritorious.
Thou shall not buy merit it will be tag in your DT
Thou shall not exchange merit for a certain amount of fiat
Thou shall not sell merit it will be tag in your account

That being said merit sources need to look closer to a post than normal user.
I hope I make it clear stating the normal rules we should obey according to forum history.

Your white papers stated that 45% of the block reward generated goes to the operators. Where will the 55% goes?
If you know where the 55% goes in Dash, it has the same aspect how things go in Nukleus.

and if I'm wrong I also don't know the answer the owner will explain to us.
378  Economy / Services / Re: Helping my tuition fee NSFW on: March 06, 2018, 05:40:07 AM
a scammers are getting ingenious everyday.
look at the same person offering services similar to this and would highly likely to elabortate a good scam after he/she has the right time to do so.
379  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What Problems do new investors face when researching cryptocurrencies? on: March 05, 2018, 07:48:59 PM
This is very true. Information is so widespread and for new investors looking to profit from crypto, they cannot tell which one is a good investment or not.

Do you think there should be an organized social network, other than bitcointalk, maybe a dapp that can eliminate FUD and false hype to help new investors? And be able to check the portfolios of “influencers” or “accredited investors” to see if they have the credentials to backup the hype/advice they are giving

This a very good idea I don't believe it came from a newbie with a 3 post.

Even I doubt to invest in any cryptocurrency even if I knew some of them have a good potential offspring, furthermore I don't know if the information I gathered was a FUD and intended that way.

It is so annoying if you didn't invest at the first place and it turns out your instinct was right in the first place, just like what happen in WAVES.
