Is the wallet encryption non-functional? the zcash-cli encryptwallet command doesn't seem to be working
error: {"code":-16,"message":"Error: wallet encryption is disabled."}

I rememberd in january, it was like 0.07$ or something, and i curiously looked today to check the price after seeing a small growing on zcash, and i tought it was 0.09$ and then I SAW 0.9$ and freaked out!!! This is the pirate coin lol It may even overcome the original coin, who knows? Network effects are the only thing that matters. I think there's gonna be a small dump now, i'm gonna wait so i can buy more

That sell instantly button looks very tempting

What is this "hard fork/swap" thing i keep hearing about?I have a paper wallet, and it kinda sounds like i'm gonna lose my money .Or do i have to carefully watch this topic every day for any update so i can prevent it from happening? It happened months ago when shift was changed to lisk codebase. Some people (one of which is particularly vocal here) missed the swap despite being given plenty of notice. Best follow shift on Twitter and allow notifications from them. That way you can stay up to date with everything that's happening without having to constantly check back. LOL Exactly after i posted that, a warning/hacked post appeared .Probably the last thing i wanted to see after posting my worries . Anyway, thanks for the clear-up

With all eyes on Bitcoin reaching 1200$ now, it's quite a favorable circumstance for people to find out about XBC.I read a few pages back that there's some kind of official press release on 28 feb

I think maybe I should pick up a few while it is still cheap. I remember I had bought this in the early days when there was an ICO, so maybe should buy some now and hold again for the longer term. Hold until you bleed i'm prepared to wait a few years, for a better future, and more showers with warm water, sometimes they cut it here where i live (Eastern Europe/Romania) (i had to shower with cold water for 2 weeks once).

Just curious, what type of encryption does the GUI wallet use when i set up the passphrase?

I gotta say, this is some pretty impressive stuff here, besides the features, name and image is quite important to the general public, and i believe it will gain a lot of trust from people.

Woah woah, the price was 0.07$ in January 2016, but at that time i didn't know altcoins existed (found out in december 2016).As i'm currently hunting for low supply/low price coins, if i had knowledge of existence of Dash in January 2016 i would've bought about 2000 of them (that would cover costs of living for 20 years in Romania with that now) It certainly was not 0.07$... maybe u mean 7$. Yeah, correction it was 0.007 BTC actually, about 3$ at that time.Anyway, i still bought an itsy bit of them

No you can generate an offline wallet with Electrum, and send the XCP to that address.
XCP exists on the Bitcoin blockchain.
And after i send XCP to that bitcoin address, i can check the balance with the explorer? (blockscan.com shows something like XCP balance) Yes. XCP and XCP assets can only be sent to a bitcoin address. There is no other kind of address that works. Ok, thanks, do i need to already have a little BTC to the receiving addres? i'm trying to send some xcp from bittrex to electrum btc address and it's been showing pending on blockscan.com for almost 1 hour Later Edit : Transfer Complete

Where can i find a paper wallet (offline preferably)? They have only paper wallet passphrase generator as far as I know, its hosted under domain generate.me, but theres no wallet. If ure trying to find where to store money offline u may wish to format ur hdd and permanently delete all ur info, and after uve finished install a powerful malware receiver, it opens the gate on ur machine for countless software updates. Hmmmm, so the only options are to store them in a exchange or at an address generated with wallet.counterwallet.io?
