this is what I do in .pivx folder I zap all but wallet.dat and pivx.conf (please back up your wallets! prior) rm -rf backups blocks chainstate db.log debug.log masternode.conf pivxd.pid database then I have one node that works and blocks are ACCEPTED (I check debug.log for that) and I do sudo pkill -9 pivxd; cd .pivx ; scp -r n.n.n.n:~/.pivx/blocks .; scp -r n.n.n.n:~/.pivx/chainstate .; pivxd -daemon where n.n.n.n is IP of a server that is kept healthy and running constant overall with so many nodes I have above is rarely needed but it happens on an occasion above also is for linux env.. for windows just different folder names will be the difference.. helps if you got two node alas master nodes.. to serve as hot backup/restore chain kind of thing I want your wallets /master nodes to be healthy! as far as "what this coin is for" its like asking what will be internet useful for in 1980 right now folks are doing some speculative exchange play [personally ? I feel once we have like a market place and inter block capability to payment processors etc.. thats when rocketship will really take off in mega money type of territory (forget about 10 mil market cap thats low) bonus here will be not yet hard crypto to break as far as payment transfers (beyond even TOR) after reading some abstract what pivx wants to do there are prime numbers involved and that is unbreakable even by quantum computers (at large prime numbers which this coin will use)

Question - What is the max supply/cap? Hi. There is no max coin supply. We are currently at 52 million and will increase by approx 4.8% per year. (about 2.5 mil p/a)

NOTICEEveryone, we are having a network issue at present due to the masternode payment enforcement feature causing issues. Please avoid making any transfers during this time as you or the receipient may be on different network forks. Devs are well aware of the issue and will fix this asap. You should not lose any coins due to this issue. Update: Many are saying all they needed to get it back up was to just resync from a previous good backup of their blockchain. Then you can compare the block hash to the block explorer. http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/PIVX/index.phpBut we will confirm when we know for sure. Exchanges has been notified to put the wallet into maintenance.

RESOLVEDThe issue has been rectified and network is syncing again. If yours is stuck, please try restarting the wallet and/or resync from scratch or from a good recent backup. Please compare your block hash with MN Info Page or Block Explorer below to ensure your wallet is in sync. http://178.254.23.111/~pub/DN/DN_masternode_payments_stats.htmlhttp://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/PIVX/index.phpIf you do have syncing issues, please use these 3 main nodes in your pivx.conf, delete the peers.dat and try again. addnode=s3v3nh4cks.ddns.net addnode=coin-server.com addnode=178.254.23.111 We apologize for any inconvenience caused. This shouldn't happen again! Some explanation of what happened for FYI: - Problem is that everyone is banning each other because they are not accepting one another's blocks. If we see a different masternode count, then we will calculate a different valid masternode reward and refuse blocks from people who don't agree on the masternode count. If you have removed the bantime line from your darknet.conf, or naver added it, please add "bantime=50" in there. That will allow for a quick unbanning of the peers you have recently banned unjustly, and help us all get back on the same page. We have delayed the masternode payment enforcement so this will no longer occur. We will have this fixed in the near future so that we can re-enable the enforcement.

i hate fucking around with replacing wallet.dat files redownloading wallets so disappointing, is there any where i can find terminal cmds to help out
Happened to me, your wallet probably was fucked before the rebranding. Simply send your PIVX to a brand new wallet and your problems will be gone. Visit the slack for support and the problem will be taken care of. this is the newest download. it is impossible to send my pivx anywherethe wallet no longer opens! im also not a fan of slack! delete block data trying to redownload block database worked wallet is now showing staking active

You should stake about once (or twice if lucky) every 24 hours per 10K of PIV being staked.

Yes. They have been informed immediately. (we were only having issues for about 2 hours) Bittrex was very quick to shut the wallet down but obviously very lazy in brining it back up.

Seems some people have had their blockchain corrupt. (maybe the wallet didn't shutdown cleanly previously etc) In this case, it is best to delete the blocks & chainstate folder and the resync. (or restore from a good backup)

I've noticed that backups often don't work either. I have to resync from scratch.
I'm resyncing on 3 different rigs. It's been about 12 hours and they still have a ways to go. (Windows 7 and 10).

i have a auto backup to google drive all 2 hrs, so i allways have chain not older than 2 hrs and i noticed the same problem from time to time after a wallet crash. the following workaround is working every time for me if this happens (works with win7 and win 10): 1. deleting all from data dir expect wallet.dat, peers.dat, pivx.conf, masternode.conf. 2. starting wallet -> synch from scratch is starting -> shut wallet down once the main window is open and synching has begun 3. repeat step 1 4. copy folder blocks and database from backup to data dir 5. start wallet again and it should work with existing chain from backup now however in most cases i can just fix the problem with step 1 and step 4. if not i have to do all 4 steps try it maybe this will help you to, and don't forget to backup your wallet.dat regularly! Cheers

Weird. I've never had an issue with resyncing from a backup on both Windows and Ubuntu. and I've probably done it like 1000 times due to masternodes, windows crash etc.

Weird. I've never had an issue with resyncing from a backup on both Windows and Ubuntu. and I've probably done it like 1000 times due to masternodes, windows crash etc. i would say after 1 of 10 crashes on windows wallet i have to do the procedure above and i have absolut no idea why i can fix the problem if i do all 4 steps. the trick seems to be starting the wallet (only short) without a exisiting chain . the only thing i know is that it is not my pc's or hardrives (tested on 4 hardrives, ssd and hdd). must be a strange (and i would say rare) bug in windows version i guess never noticed the problem on ubuntu and like you i have lots of nodes ....

Dash is going to the moon right now. I believe that PIVX should be at least 10% of Dash's marketcap since we are the closest facsimile to it. That means we should be at a 40 million marketcap; and we're currently sitting at 2.5M? Bring on POLO!
We need to strike while the iron is hot!
