101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking a break in gambling on: February 11, 2024, 01:04:43 PM
How do you guys manage to take a break in gambling? I’m not asking for advice but rather I’m just interested to know what you are doing on your own or if you really do a break.

I recently decided to take a break since I want to hold my crypto due to its increasing value and I don’t to spend it while it’s giving me passive profit. I just claiming bonus now or anything that is free to still enjoy gambling without risking my money.

What is the instances that makes you take a break in gambling?

If it's because the imminent increasing value of crypto is a major consign to you, I think you should look inward to local gambling sites that accept local currency for betting, I believe the local currency would have a lesser value than crypto thus losing few bucks in local currency wouldn't hurt unlike losing some chunk of crypto however if you prefer taking a break and the price of crypto keep on increasing with minor correction or pullback that means you might not gamble again, in my own case I use a local gambling site after switching from crypto to my local currency and betting with few buck in my local currency to win some few money is satisfactory.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Struggle now to invest in Bitcoin for a bright future. on: February 11, 2024, 12:20:14 PM
Many of us know about Bitcoin. But due to a lack of funds, we regret about Bitcoin investment. Many people, particularly those from low-income families, regret when we can't invest in Bitcoin. Though we can't solve this problem, we can struggle to achieve our goal. For our daily needs, we must need money to survive. Sometimes we spend money on unnecessary things. So we can avoid spending unnecessary money because we can survive without it. And we can start investing in Bitcoin with that money. We have to find a solid income source, even if it is small. So we can go ahead with our bitcoin investment. If we struggle now, we may build a bright future. Even students could save some money from their daily spending and invest in Bitcoin.
Honestly it's desire of most people from low income earners who knew Bitcoin to invest in it unfortunately the prevailing situation with regards to being paid a living wage that is very difficult to make ends meet wouldn't warrant any diversion of their fund, of course it's very important to take care of pressing needs particularly food, payment of bills etc by the time all those Budget is taken care of nothing is left from salary earned so it would be very difficult to invest in Bitcoin I am talking from personal experience after relating with some close Bitcoin enthusiast, though many of them thinks they needed huge fund to invest, however I had clear that impression i.e they can invest with any amount of fund.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 10, 2024, 05:17:32 PM

Have you ever sold a property to play gamble and afterwards finds it difficult to replace that same property again?
The story is likened to that of the prodigal son in the bible  It is morally wrong to sell one's property to gamble, I think those people who indulged in the act were usually promised a sure bet just like fixed matches in soccer betting unfortunately gambled irresponsible with money sourced illegally, I have never sold any of my property or other close relative property and used the proceed to gamble that is big risk infact it's is abnormal to sell one's property how much more of a parent property who laboured hard to buy  a car unfortunately his son in his bid to get rich quickly through gamble took a very irresponsible decision.
104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading or Long term on: February 10, 2024, 02:18:16 PM
So I have been trying to wrap my head around which is a better option, day trading crypto or buying for long term keep.
While they both have their pros and cons, they both come with a form of risk and they are meant to generate profit.
The major difference between them is that day trading tend to make profit from small market volatility, while hodling make profit from the bigger change in crypto value.
  Day trading involves more techniques, self discipline and rational decision making.
Which do you prefer and think is better

If you think that starting day trading to earn quick profit without any prior knowledge of trading consequently that decision would ended up in streak of losses possibly losing all the funded account that means anyone that falls into that category should just adopt long term investment in any credible and reliable crypto afterall profit would be guaranteed after a long period, however if such a trader had enough experience and very knowledgeable in the art of trading then of course such a trader is good to go but trading is very risky compared to long term investment though an experience day trader earns well whenever they triggers a profitable setup.
105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC or Love on Valentine's day. What's your pick? on: February 10, 2024, 09:24:57 AM
I have seen a couple of friends received amazing gifts from loved ones during Valentine's period but I haven't given one neither have I received because I don't really celebrate Valentine perhaps because I haven't been in love before🙄.

My friends came up with an idea to take some time off this year and travel  to carrebean inland to catch fun and perhaps, I might find Mrs right in the course of the holiday but with BTC on a bullish move, I feel taking a whole week out of trading is a crazy idea even though the rest is needed.

Is there any trading event I can leverage on while on holiday so I can catch fun and earn at the same time.
Trading Bitcoin requires a full and maximum concentration thus you can't leverage it while on vacation the market is there 24/7 for you thus take a break and enjoy your Caribbean holiday bearing in mind that as a profitable trader irrespective of the market condition whether bullish or bearish you would always make profit thus your assertion that the market is bullish now therefore an  opportunity to leverage on is unveiled, the purpose of trading is to earn make decent profits and once in a while enjoy the fruit of their labour by spending part of the profit earned on leisure and possibly find your suitor.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it okay for Bitcoin Core development to be funded by Banks? on: February 10, 2024, 09:09:13 AM
If there is not going to be any distortion or manipulation of the Blockchain with regards to the sponsoring or donations to Bitcoin core team by the bank who invariably happens to dislike cryptos due to it feature as a store of value then there is no issues and it's a welcome development, I hope the Bitcoin core team would be transparent enough in doing their job thus thoroughly checked and monitored by other developers, I believe it's high time the scalability issue of Blockchain is finally resolved to fast track swift transactions I think this issue if not resolve on time would make global adoption of Bitcoin as a payment gateway particularly Lightning network LN.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 10, 2024, 08:53:26 AM
~~~
Manchester City is a team in great form. They have been going on for weeks without losing points and will do whatever it takes to maintain their leadership in the league. On the other side, there is a weak Everton facing major crises.
The result of this match is clear, I think Everton cannot even score a goal. When we look at the betting odds, we can see that there will be no surprises about who will win
The final result can be predicted, especially regarding which team has the higher potential to win. Yes, Manchester City is the favorite in its home match against Everton, the probability of winning reaches 80%. Maybe this will be the least interesting match at the weekend, but that could all change if Everton with all their abilities do something different.
In the previous meeting, Everton lost at home with a score of 1-3 to Manchester City. Besides, Everton is also not having a good performance by not winning their last 6/6 matches in the Premier League. Everton managed to force Tottenham to a 2-2 draw in the previous match, maybe this can provide good encouragement to all the players so they can bring out their best in the away match against Manchester City. The favorites are clear, they are Manchester City.
Everton doesn’t look like a team that will do something different and all take us by a shock . Manchester City is the better team and the strong one to win this match. Manchester City current form now cannot be underestimated and any team they get ti meet now will easily be beaten by them. Everton has a very low chance in this match and that was already proven by the odds for this match. I feel pity for Everton for their point reduction and how far they would’ve come in the league, but they don’t have an excuse not to stay up the relegation zone and not relegated this season.
I don't think Everton would create any upset at the Etihad stadium today though they needed a positive result from today's encounter to bounce off from relegation zone however it is in not today's match against Man City probably in their subsequent matches, the host needed a outright win to keep the hope of being among the title contenders alive thus Everton would approach the match with sit back tactic to defend and possibly play counterattack if the opportunity arises, yet that wouldn't stop Man City to defeat them though Man City had not been getting clean sheets in their previous matches I hope that same problem would not come into play today.
108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: February 09, 2024, 03:16:22 PM
Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress?
No time to track my gambling progress once I bet and won I move on and If I lose I would wait for another opportunity again afterall there are many opportunities ahead, gambling is a game of luck backtesting results or checking my gambling progress wouldn't change any thing all I needed is to make through analysis of the matches ahead in order to bet on potential winning games and peradventure if I incurred consistent losses I do take a break which means I am out of luck and would strife hard to make a positive comeback, however I only bet with the amount of money I can afford to lose thus I don't feel sad in any case of losing any bet.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: February 09, 2024, 03:06:59 PM
Guys, do you often feel like me? when I raise the bet I lose and when I lower the bet I win. Does the casino system/algorithm know the betting patterns we make? So often when we bet big we are given a loss and when our bet is small we actually win, which is very annoying
I don't know if this applies to all games or not, but I feel like this often when playing table games. What do you think?
I think it's just ba coincidence and has nothing to do with the casino algorithm though I never experience such when I gamble though I gambled with small money consistently and had not try big betting, I think you should change your style of betting that is stick with the small bet however increase your stake a bit while avoiding high bet which you claimed always resulted to loses, with an increased stake coupled with consistent winning would yield a reasonable profit in the long run I think that is what work for you with that strategy you would have an edge, infact that is a very opportunity for you to capitalize on to earn some decent profits.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: February 08, 2024, 08:41:35 PM
Being addicted to gambling can be a thorn in the flesh. We have heard many bad behavior from gambling addicts that shows that gambling is a serious concern requiring serious efforts at curbing it. Many casinos also include in their disclaimer "gamble responsibly" and this shows the danger of gambling addiction.
However, I'm wondering if addiction can make someone become aggressive to the point of leading to domestic violence. Has there been any known case of it happening? Lets know what you have to say.
A gambling addict after streak of losses can be very aggressive they can definitely transfer aggression and become violent though it depend on individual behavior of each gambler, personally at times if I lost a bet I tend to transfer aggression to anyone that offend me even with the slightest provocation, however with time I was able to overcome it, imagine an addicted gambler who loses bet in a bid to forget about the losses embark on drinking beer  such a gambler can very violent with a slightest provocation which might lead to domestic violence I always emphasize gambler to always gamble responsibly to avoid those consequences that  would to domestic violence.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you beleive in the concept of "Luck"? on: February 08, 2024, 03:23:45 PM
Hello everyone!
Recently, I was thinking about the concept of luck in my life and how lucky I am. And I wondered how other people, especially gamblers, perceive this concept.
It would be interesting to read your thoughts.
You can answer these questions, for example:
  • Do you believe in Luck? If so, how do you describe your perception of this concept?
  • How lucky do you think you are from 1 to 10?
  • Does your sense of luck in regular life correlate with your luck in gambling?
  • Do you believe that some special things or actions can increase your luck?
And do not hesitate to share any other thoughts about it. Let's discuss!
Yes of course I believe in luck because anything I embark on is a game of chance thus I need luck to get it accomplished even as a soccer match gambler despite staking the odds on my favorite teams to win yet I still count on luck because an upset can happen which would result to losing my bets, based on my luck I think its around 7 / 10 though I don't gamble blindly and bet occasionally when I believe I have the better chances of winning my bets, meanwhile the sense of luck in my regular life does not correlate with my bettings or gambling it's a complete different ball game, Lastly nothing or any action can increase luck when it comes to gambling however using past records and how a strong a team is can help to increase chances of winning bets but not a guarantee.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has Airdrop season begun? on: February 08, 2024, 11:26:08 AM
I think because market conditions have improved there are so many projects being released this month, because they see the market is quite friendly, and also actually there are so many projects that have been under development from several years ago and this year they decided to list, so I think that's the cause There are several large projects listing this year.
Truly I agreed that because the positive future outlook of crypto market that prompt the massive spring out of airdrops I wouldn't be surprise that we would continue to see new airdrops through out this year on my twitter handle there are so many airdrop promotions ranging from different Blockchain the question now is which of these airdrops would be profitable in the long run? It's a question that has no answer, however an airdrop hunter who has enough time can continue to participate in many of the airdrops possibly one of them would be very successful in no distant future especially in the wake of upcoming halving of Bitcoin.
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 08, 2024, 07:17:52 AM
Chelsea winning Aston Villa 3-0 is a cleae indication that all Pochettino cares about this season are cup competitions. I think it's because he knows that there's no way Chelsea can come back to fight for even a champions league place this season so better to take his team's energy on cup competitions. I'm really surprised to see Aston Villa come from a very good weekend only to lose to a Chelsea team that lost at home over the weekend.
Despite the fact that there's still time in the game, I don't believe Aston Villa would be able to do a comeback here.
Only pained that I didn't take a Chelsea win or double chance bet on BcGame. It was above 3 odds+ during the pre-match.
I keep thinking whether these are the same players that lost their home game against Wolves, but Aston Villa won't make a comeback in this game since Chelsea is now leading with three goals. You are correct; Pochettino's target for this season is to win the cup competition; they are not concerned with how to finish in the top four this season in order to qualify for the next Champions League. The game is almost over, and Aston Villa are able to score just one goal. How come Chelsea players aren't performing this well in the Premier League? Despite having players that can compete with any team in the Premier League, Chelsea is still losing when playing home or away. Before the season ends, Pochettino's team needs to start winning Premier League games.
I also think so Pochettino's as no hope in competing for the top four zone which is champion league as well as Europa League because the way he performed some time look like they don't have any interest in Premier league but in other cup compositions. Chelsea played very well against Aston villa but I will assume Aston villa too don't focus on this cup compositions, I think the main aim of Unai Emery this season is just to make it to the Champions league maybe that will be the reason for their lose.
Chelsea is a just an inconsistent team there performance has nothing to do with cup competition, the same team or squad play league match and lose same squad would also play cup competition and win thereafter play EPL match to lose again that is absolutely mediocre performance, though my observation about the team is that Pochettino should be given more time to reposition the club atleast till the end of the season, I said earlier in the beginning there shouldn't be too much expectations from Chelsea after Pochettino was appointed because almost the whole squad was changed and replaced new new signings next season should be there target.
114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the best indicators for following trend in cryptotrading? on: February 07, 2024, 10:28:34 PM
I'm developing my strategy for trend trading and I'm trying to figure out what are the best indicators to catch a trend. Currently now I'm using MFI, but I doubt that it is suitable for cryptocurrency trading, so i will appreciate it if you give me a hint. Thank you in advance!
Candlestick patterns itself is an indicator infact the best indicator if you can study it because it tells the true live picture of the price especially when price reached a major Suppoort and Resistance of course there is plenty resources online for studying candlestick patterns, however majority of the so-called trend indicators lagged behind the price because they are based on past price history thus they are usually not effective and reliable because their are instances where the price had reached the end of a trend that is when some indicators give signals once a trader trigger a buy or sell the price would start to go against the trader
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: February 07, 2024, 09:10:24 PM
Nigeria used experience to contain a very good south Africa  team. What a game although I played Nigeria on my bet to win but it ended up on penalties. Poor display from Nigeria midfield, Alex iwobi was completely out of the game, but victor osimhen continue to show class. Nigeria have a chance on winning the AFCON because of the quality they have, they should step up their game in the finals.
Honestly it was experience of the Nigerian team players that kept the South Africans at bay,  they played infact beyond my expectations and coupled with the fact that the bulk of their players are home based who plays for mamelodi sundowns, it very obvious they have a very good team work and played possessive football as well as outplayed the Super Eagle at the midfield where Nwobi who was a shadow of former self he didn't perform well, credits to the South Africans they proved their ability and played with full strength forcing the match till extra time and penalty shootout, of course they still have the opportunity of playing a third place match to possibly get a third place medal.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This was my highest risk. on: February 07, 2024, 04:34:23 PM
The risk of not cashing out with two remaining matches is actually a very big risking 20, 000 naira your money had any one of two games cut that is automatic losses for you,  I think your friend was actually very lucky to sell the game to you because he only bet or gamble with a meagre 150 naira thereafter sold it at the rate of 20K naira that means he had recoup half of the winning bet provided that the ticket was won or even if the bet ended up as losses he still gain handsomely, though I have never take such a huge risk before in any of my bets and I don't accumulate as many games to get a higher odds rather just few games with 3.0 to 4.0 odds to minimize my risk.
Nigeria vs South Africa
Ivory Coast vs Congo
I predict it’ll be a Nigeria vs Ivory Coast final. I think that’s what neutrals want to see, t’d be a really entertaining final.
Nigeria will be my prediction in this game because, all their players that started this AFCON competition from the beginning to showcased some good performance for them to reach semi-final are well ready to face south Africa today which I know they will win the game with many goals to beat South Africa.
But the game between Ivory coast vs Congo will going to be a tough game that will lead to penalty shootout and ivory coast will not embrace the luck they embraced from the Senegal through penalty shootout today because, it will end for the favour of Congo to celebrate to be among the teams that qualified for final stage.
Nigeria Super Eagle would defeat Bafana Bafana of South African, It obvious the Nigerian team has the most solid defence line in this competition and tactically play a fast counterattack style of play into their opponent territory with the pacy Osimhen spearheading their attack and some analyst believe the South Africans plays fast football which can win the match for them, however the Nigerian team knows how to calm down any fast playing tactical approach which the South Africans may wanted to adopt, meanwhile in the second match between Congo vs Ivory coast is quite a dicey match though the host country would capitalize on home advantage, however at this stage of the competition I don't think home advantage would make any difference.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: A course worth studying ? on: February 06, 2024, 06:39:10 PM
Don't let anybody opinion with regards to  your course of study demoralize you, Economic is a very good course and I believe the speaker who discourage people not to study Economic should be specific with his advice possibly in his country there might be few opportunity for Economist which prompted his interview, however in my country a graduate Economist can be employ by any bank provided that such graduate pass out with a very good grade and other financial institutions too sought after that profession if the graduate has other relevant certifications that is another big advantage for such a graduate.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 06, 2024, 04:29:41 PM
Now it is open,wide open the Premier League after Liverpool was defeated by Arsenal.Now Manchester City has real chances of bouncing back yet I think despite the lost game against Arsenal,Liverpool is still the strong contender to win the title.They have been the most consistent team no matter this bad last game they had.Most likely the players of Liverpool have been impacted by Klopp decision to leave though I think in the upcoming games they will start winning again.
I think Klopp's decision has affected the players in a positive way because they definitely want to win this season and let Klopp remember this season for the rest of his life.
Although desire alone will definitely not be enough to win, much more is needed for this, and for this we definitely cannot lose at home to Arsenal, but it happened and now City must take advantage of it. They beat Brentford last night and are now just one win away from topping the table again. All of City's leaders are back in squard, and they are ready to win.
Honestly I would have preferred Klopp to make the announcement of imminent departure towards the end of the season when Liverpool must have been ready to win the title though I respect his decision, however from my own point of view is that his sudden announcement of purported departure is already affecting the team by damping their morale which is affecting their  performance on the field recall Liverpool had always had an upper hand against Arsenal in all competition even in last month FA Cup they defeated the gunners but last weekend they became a shadow of former self infact could only register a single shot on goal that is unacceptable performance for a title contenders.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: February 05, 2024, 06:19:20 PM
Nigeria has the potential of winning next tomorrow's game against South Africa, but only if they could play a more calculative game of scoring more goals and not the usual pattern of one goal
Nigeria will be playing against South Africa in their next match. Seriously, if I am predicting the winner of the match, then I will be choosing Nigeria to win. The Super Eagles performance has increased recently, and the only problem that I notice is that they are always finding it difficult to score goals in most of their matches, which they should try to fix, but their defense is kind of strong, which I am sure they will be able to hold South Africa down, and Nigeria are having dangerous strikers, so I just think Nigeria has higher chances of winning the match than South Africa, but in football anything is possible, so we should just wait and see the result of the match.
the Super Eagles are impressively clinical throughout. so i'm confident they'll get a win over South Africa. The Eagles seem to be in good command of the tournament; all they need is a bit more encouragement. i mean they have everything it takes to beat South Africa.
But as you know in football, surprises can happen, and Nigeria might face a tough challenge from South Africa in the semis! but fingers crossed for Nigeria to emerge as the winner in the Nigeria vs. South Africa match-up that's all.
In as much the Super Eagle defence remain solid as it was in all their previous matches I don't think the South Africans Bafana Bafana stand any chance of scoring a goal against the Nigerian team, they assembled one of the best defense line in the competition and with some of the  best attackers though had not been scoring wide margin goals yet they always take up their chances to score goals I believe that is where they have an edge over the South Africans and the fact that they are aiming to lift the AFCON trophy the Super Eagle would go for an outright win as it is now they are definitely a major contender of the trophy having eliminated the likes of Cameroon and Angola.
