641  Economy / Economics / Re: I wonder if food prices in your country have also increased? on: September 09, 2023, 06:27:56 AM
Since August in my country, the price of food, especially food staples such as wheat, rice and others, has experienced a very high price increase. This was apparently caused by the ongoing drought.
But I was wondering if this only happened in my country or in your country too?
We are also experiencing similar scenario in my country too, though the high inflation rate could be attributed to increase in the price of Petroleum products eg petrol, Diesel and Gas following the removal of fuel subsidy by the new government consequently resulted to high cost of food stuffs especially the staple food such as rice, bread etc, manufacturers of food products are not left out because of high cost of production, in a related development with regard to the high cost of rice in my country was linked to insecurity in some farm after some farmers complained of kidnapping by some bandits who usually collect ransom before they are released thus prompted alot of them to quit farming.

If United loses Sancho as well, then they are going to be pretty upset with the results. They are doing terrible at the moment and I am not even talking about just the results of the game, the owners are really ruining everything about that club and the culture has to change like crazy.

Ever since SAF retired (which he shouldn't have, he is still at almost every game) they haven't been doing good at all, even Ronaldo said that things were exactly same as he left and didn't improved a bit. Owners needs to change asap, they need to sell the club one way or another, hell if they sold the club last summer, it would have worth more than right now, so they made a loss for the time being by not selling and that's terrible.
Manchester United without Alex Ferguson and Ronaldo is like Tottenham, even though they've tried to sign a good manager and good player, they're not able to achieve anything. This will happen to Liverpool too, if Klopp and Salah leaves, Liverpool will not able to reach top 7 position.

The glazers are selfish, it seems like they're really want to own Manchester United than to see Manchester United is improving without them.
I believe after the exit of Ronaldo non of Man Utd non of the new club signings had made any significant impact on the team, the likes of Antony, Mason Mount, Sancho and other new players were just a bunch of average players and couldn't justify their huge sign-on fee, I can't blame the glazers family because they had spent quite a fortune on the club  after acquiring the club yet the club hasn't won any major trophy for a very long time, just like Todd Boehly Chelsea new owner who had spent massively to recruit new players, personally I think non performance of the club should be the responsibility of the manager with reference to Pep Guordiola Man City manager who managed the club very well particularly with his expertise in signing of quality players while allowing surplus players to be sold.

Im so newbie here but this is my way

Mostly binance futures If i trade but now due to financial problems i can't trade so much and don't have enough funds...untfortunately
I look for top gainers sometimes they go even higher so if coin is up 20% it might trap If i see still coin can move up i move on to short altcoins i look for bigger Marketcap altcoins If they are up 5% then i Open short and If there is no news or any reasons for further pump i Open short.
Right now i see etc/usdt extremly over-bought and fake-out so i did Open short it now. Price 17.065$ on binance i think good entry for short with this price now.

Enjoy Smiley hope you like it let me know ur toughts aswell , thnx
I hope your Take Profit isn't far from entry point just like you are scalping your trades because a coin or pair trending massive bullish might experience a temporary pullback or reversal which won't last long before the continuation of the bullish trend therefore you should be extra careful when trading price reversal though you might had some considered some price behavior and price data  which had been working for your trading, however crypto trading is a very risky especially when counter trading the fact that you traded future makes it even more riskier,  why not tweak your trading strategy to suit a trending market instead of counter trading.

Manchester United supporters will always remember that bitter thing because the mistakes made by Harry Maguire who played at the back last season were not only fatal, but also very painful for the supporters of the Manchester United team themselves. Because without Harry Maguire making fatal mistakes at the back, perhaps Manchester United would not have lost, but it is something that has happened and will always be painful to remember every time.

At some point, I wondered what was wrong with Maguie He was better than this, so I wondered what had happened to him that he had become an unbearable situation that the club could not bear with after so many disappointments coming from Maguire, and the mistake of Maguire cost the club a lot and the problem now is that nobody wants to buy the player the only thing that is best for him now is to retire, if am not mistaking last season it got to the point Maguire was used for laughter for both the commentators and every other person because once Maguire is mentioned then there is trouble or he has already fucked up.
Truly I recall the partnership between Harry Maguire and Wes Morgan at Leceister City then it was a superb combination with Maguire very solid at the back his consistency at their centre back prompted Man Utd to sign him in a deal worth £80m, unfortunately his performance since he joined Man Utd had been error prone and absolutely dismal probably it might be due to much pressure on him while playing for a big club like Man Utd and to make matter worse for him Harry Maguire was handed the captain band last two seasons ago, maybe if given more playing time this season he may up his game without the captainship band and paired with Varane or Martinez.

Jadon Sancho may leave Manchester united for Al-Ettifaq before the end of the transfer market.

Jadon Sancho won't be leaving Manchester United this summer, and i wonder why Ten Hag and Manchester United are pushing a character assassination's agenda against Sancho as well as trying to force him away. The scenes at old trafford since Ten Hag arrived has been awful, i hope it changes
Erik ten Hag should settle his difference or rift with Sancho for the betterment of the club else he might consider his purported loan move to Al-Ettifaq because the manager might punished him by permanently subjecting him to the bench, this is not the time to shift blame to each other, recall Man Utd hasn't live up to expectations so far this season they managed to win 2 matches and lost 2 matches a poor and embrassing start for such a big club thus it's high time the manager start to reposition the club back to their winning ways of which Sancho a crucial member of the team has a lot to offer in the attack of the club, I trust his capabilities while playing at the flank or wing.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 07, 2023, 01:31:11 PM
I think Ten Hag should trust Rasmus Hojlund and Garnacho in the main squad. and shifting Rashford to play more freely on the wing to find gaps in the Brighton defense. United will not have it easy in the next match. because Brighton has also proven they can win against Newcastle.
I think Ten Hag has everything he wants right now. just how he makes a good strategy for United and can be executed by his players.
Manchester United are obviously not in prime shape, as they face numerous hurdles this season. It's presumably due to fluctuating positive or negative results in league games, but I was hoping they'd bounce back. Erik Ten Hag is an outstanding coach, he's experienced and comprehend precisely what to do. When it comes to the starting lineup, Rasmus Hjlund and Alejandro Garnacho are both young and vibrant frontlines that are capable of carrying the extra weight for the Red Devils. The match against Brighton will be challenging because the seagulls are in terrific condition. Roberto De Zerbi has an effective technique for defeating premier clubs, but we anticipate the best results from both sides.

Man Utd central defence is the major priority that needed an urgent solution because presently their three central defenders Verane, Martinez and Lindelof are out due to injury with Evans and Maguire two old and unreliable defenders taken over their spot won't be able to stop Brighton from scoring goals, I think this the major area Erik ten Hag should urgently address, however their attack and midfield are in good shape with Casimero, Fernandes, Eriksen, Rashford, Ganarcho and Rasmus Hjlund  while their left and right backs Dalot and Wan-Bissaka also in good shape, recall how Arsenal capitalized on the inefficiency in their central defence to score two late goals after both Lindelof and Martinez were substituted.
647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions dealing on: September 07, 2023, 08:36:40 AM
Emotions is a weapon used against traders causing them to move out of a trade untimely which may eventually cost them loss.

How to avoid emotions:
  • set up  a TP(take profit) and SL(stop loss) for your trades
  • Stay away from the particular trade
  • Get in some activity that will keep you busy
  • Do your hubby activities at that moment
  • set up hours interval to check your trade
  • watch tvs and Go for walk Smiley

Note:Some of these might not be applicable if you are into scalping.

Your first point would only be realistic if your trading strategy work well coupled with your risk management, you can't just set Take Profit and Stop Loss on any strategy that had proven to fail.
The second point has to deal with emotions and   psychology while trading of course you don't force yourself to trading if the your trading strategy set-up isn't formed thus it better to stay away completely for such a trade.
Third point is to adopt a trading strategy based on Higher Timeframe atleast 4 hours frame which requires less period of analysis thus having enough time to do other leasure activities after a trade is already placed thereafter check the trade occasionally just to look at price or market.

September 7 have been said to be the date for the final and deadline transfer for the Saudi League

Liverpool are still considering it, letting Salah leave is like shooting themselves in the foot - feet.

Sancho also has been linked with an exit from Man United, it is either he leaves before the deadline closes or sits fof the remaining months to leave Manchester United permanently.

The problem is that they let Salah Leave they can't replace his spot with a new player, they can only get a free agent or one from yougers Liverpool's teams.
It is a difficult option if Salah really goes to a Saudi league team. To be honest, it's a bit unfortunate if Salah leaves Liverpool, but on the other hand, it's a lot of money for Liverpool. Is it possible that Liverpool are ready for the problems that will arise later on the field? I don't think they are ready without Salah so it will be a difficult week to decide.
Honestly Liverpool decision on the purported transfer of Salah to Al-Ittihad is very dicey, the club is in a serious dilemma now, the Saudi Arabian club offered a massive transfer fee for Salah which is huge and a big opportunity for the club in terms of income and based on his age that is reasonable amount of money for the club, in other hand Salah had been an important player for Liverpool his exit might affect the club in term of performance, he had been pivotal to Liverpool successful start of the league this season having 10 points in their four matches  invariably the club wouldn't be formidable enough to challenge Man City for the league title.

As Xavi said, Ansu Fati was loaned by Barcelona to Brighton for a season. the reason is, for the good of the player. Ansu Fati joined the transfer market this summer, with the option of no permanent purchase and only one season. Xavi emphasized that he needed a lot of minutes to play and it would be difficult to get with the Blaugrana because of the competition. Xavi hopes, he has great hopes, if Fati can shine at Brigthon, then he hopes Fati can return to Barcelona next season. in short, the purpose of his loan is so he can be successful again at Barcelona, reported by Tribuana.
I think Xavi sounds selfish, if he really wanted Ansu Fati back, why did he still get so little playing time in the end? in other words Ansu Fati is playing at Brighton just to hone his skills and then Xavi will take it back. Isn't that selfish enough, I know it is their right because Ansu Fati contract at Barcelona is still long. I never stop thinking that Ansu Fati potential will not develop even if he returns, because he has to queue for a long time to get playing time. Waiting for the main squad to be injured and Ansu Fati remaining unchanged whether he goes to Brighton or not, he will remain a reserve player.
I don't think there is anything wrong with Ansu Fati joining Brighton on a short loan spell this would afford him the opportunity of a regular playing time at the club, the arrival of João Félix to Barcelona also on a loan spell would limit Ansu Fati playing time with Robert Lewandowski as there main striker while João Félix is a backup strike, though Ansu Fati can also play at the wings, however Raphinha, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal are the Xavi main favorite wingers, therefore Ansu Fati who is a promising talented young player with age on his side has a major role to play for Barcelona in the future he might possibly be recall in January 2024 transfer window if some of the main players is/are injured.

Looking forward to see Amrabat competing in that midfied, the midfied too soft against Arsenal, it needed energy and names like Bruno and Eriksen were absent in that game they did not have a good game and could not beat Arsenal midfielders.
Brighton are one of the sides when building from the backline to the front, with few players absent and Injured for Brighton Man United may have a good chance to win but that defense is too weak. Imagine Harry Maguire saying he wants to fight for his place when Man United should have sent him out on loan or complete sell out. He has never being a good player.
Matchday is getting closer and there's alot of things to watch out for in the game. Brighton Albion face an difficult competitor this weekend, but Roberto De Zerbi continues to smash and humiliate his opponents in league games. But I'm not worried because it's Old Trafford, and the Seagulls could find it difficult to secure three points against the Red Devils. Erik Ten Hag will discover some additional action in the upcoming EPL league games. Sofyan Amrabat is a combative defensive midfielder in Manchester United who can handle his position.
Do you think Erik ten Hag would drop a more experience Casimero for Amrabat against Brighton Albion? Both players played the same role or possibly drop Eriksen for Amrabat who played a advance role as a midfielder with Bruno Fernandes thus playing Casimero alongside Amrabat means Man Utd would be playing two defensive midfielder whose role is to block opposing teams, I don't think playing that formation or tactics against Brighton Albion would yield a positive result, except if there is another formation or change in tactics by Erik ten Hag, if not the club would find it difficult to defeat Brighton Albion if he decided to play the same squad.

The other player I noticed will grow to be a good player is Rasmus Højlund for Manchester United. I like the way he played in the few minutes of his debut. He is powerful, very fast and looks eager to want to start scoring goals already for Manchester United. Those are good traits for a striker to have like Manchester City's striker.

Rasmus Højlund is a young player who has good potential. it all depends on Ten Hag in cultivating Rasmus Højlund's potential. although his debut did not end well because United lost. but he showed his quality. maybe in the next match, he will play in United's main squad.
Ten Hag must see the position and role that Rasmus Højlund is indeed suitable for. Ten Hag forced Rashford several times to become United's attacking leader. but it didn't work out too much as Rashford also seems more often and likes to play out wide with the pace he has. maybe Ten Hag should think about the right position to make room for Rashford and Rasmus Højlund. when the two match, it might be a weapon for Ten Hag to make United stronger.
Let’s just hope Rasmus Højlund’s arrival turns out well for Manchester United this season because his arrival at the club comes with lots of expectations not just from Manchester United supporters but also from rivalry club fans. Coming on against Arsenal, I know every Manchester United fan would be expecting a miraculous announcement of his presence with a goal but not even Rasmus could save the day for what was expected to be an opportunity for Rasmus to announce his presence.
I think Erik ten Hag got it wrong by not granting Rasmus Højlund a starting lineup shirt for Man Utd in their match against Arsenal on the reason that he was half-fit for the match, I believe he would have performed better than Anthony Martial who started as the main striker but didn't make any impact throughout his stay on the field, it was obvious that when Rasmus Højlund came on as a substitute he threatened Arsenal defence on few occasions, had he started that match who knows he would have scored a goal, however the little time he came on he really showed some glimpses of a good striker and I believe he would score goals for the club.

Newcastle start to this season was very bad, their performance was very different from last season. After appearing ferocious in the opening match of the season by beating Aston Villa with a final score of 5-1, Newcastle seemed to have lost their enthusiasm to play in the next match. The defeats of Manchester City and Liverpool might be used as an excuse that the opponents they faced were strong teams, but the defeat to Brighton was truly unexpected, especially since Brighton managed to score their goal three times.

Three consecutive defeats is not a good achievement for Newcastle, they must immediately improve their performance to rise from their slump. A team like Newcastle should be able to provide new challenges in the Premier League, they have sufficient funds to bring in quality players, but their movement in the transfer market looks so relaxed.
I will say that already at this stage, Newcastle have made this task very difficult for themselves, because after 4 rounds they lose to the championship leader (City) by 9 points, and this may already be an unattainable gap between the teams. Yes, we can say that they had very strong opponents, and this is true, but if you are going to fight for the championship, then even in such difficult matches you need to score points.
Infact a tough time for Newcastle this season despite thrashing Aston Villa 5-1 in their opening match, the team struggled to win their subsequent matches in the league now their participation and involvement in UCL midweek matches would definitely affect the team performances having started the league on bad note and that is partly because of lack of depth in the squad due to the club inability to strengthened up enough during the last transfer window and the club sold Allan Saint-Maximin one of their best player to Al-Ahli a Saudi Arabian club, Eddie Howes would have to up the performance of the club else his job would be stake, I believe their billionaire Saudi Arabian owners had made provisions for funds to strengthen up.

What would be the best option if a friend who happens to be good at horse racing lost his fortune coming from betting in horse racing because of illness and came to you and asked for a loan and honestly stated that he wants to use it betting in horse racing to recover his fortune.

But you have doubts because he is away betting horse racing for a long period of time and he might lose the money because you have to be updated on the conditions of the horses, jockeys, and the many handicaps, and his anxiety about recovering his fortune might fail he offers you two options loan him money or just partner with him.

What's your best course of action in this scenario?

A common friend confided this to me.
The fact that he is good in horse racing wouldn't stop me from giving him a loan to continue with his racing bet, of course there isn't any straight or consistent winning streaks in betting whether horse racing, soccer, tennis etc there are always some period of losses and   there is the tendency that he would bounce back after he had recuperated from his illness, a wise statement says “A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed” whatever help I can render  him I would do so instead of partnering with him to share out of the money he would earn, if he eventually win some bets I believe he would pay back his loan without any qualms.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins are listed on top exchange? on: September 04, 2023, 04:17:52 PM
I think that not good coin but good project which can raise good amount of fund from tokensale are listed on top exchange. Because they can manage the listing fee of top exchange. But those that cannot raise a good amount of funds are listed on low quality exchanges. So everything depends on the fund and the fund depends on the investors.
This is a big challenge for every project to get listed on top CEX, because the fees are high and it requires volume so you can stay on their platform. If the project’s goal is to stay longer then its better for them to create a more competitive platform just like the other projects where you don’t need to apply for the listing because the exchange itself will initiate your listing because of the demand on your project and you don’t need to worry about the fees anymore.
Of course the importance of volume cannot be overemphasized because after payment of huge listing fee the token or coin must be well traded on daily basis on the exchange that is why most projects are well advertised and promoted and many are solution to a problem so as to continue to gain adoption or investment for it sustainability in the long run, if not there is the tendency of the coin getting delisted from the exchange this is very common in Binance which periodically delist some coins whose trading volume had dropped and it developers are no longer promoting it.

I came across this tweet, so the reference is the username. I thought it was a topic worth bringing up for discussion to see the choice that will be made by forum members. This topic is about solving problems as a service you render to make a living. Which of the problems will you prefer to solve as a service you render? the problems of the poor? or the problems of the rich? (support your choice with a reason)

I posted this here because it relates to choices we make concerning how we want our finance to be, if this is a wrong place and the topic fits better in "politics and society", I will be happy to move it there.
I would choose to solve the problem of the poor rather than the rich because I would take it as a personal sacrifice to help the poor having knew their own problems would be far more than the problems of the rich, once the problems of the poor is solved the problems of the rich would lessen this is a known fact if the poor is hungry the rich would not no peace, take care of the poor the rich would have a rest of mind, empower the poor the society would record less crime rate invariably their purchasing power would increase because the major problem of the poor is lack of enough money or financial wherewithal to cater for their daily basic needs.

Yesterday I didn't watch the Arsenal vs Man U match to the end and switched it off after Man U's goal wasn't counted due to VAR... Now I looked at the stats of the game and saw that Arsenal managed to score two goals in the last minutes... Shame I missed the most interesting moments... It really was a great game...
Honestly the VAR call up was almost in favor of Man Utd if not the slight body inward push of Gabriel Magalhães that helped Arsenal, had that goal stayed and ruled in favour of Man Utd it would have been difficult for Arsenal to comeback though they dominated the match and took most of the possessions, Man Utd would have sit back and play defensive tactics while launching counter attack, of course in matches of high profile between top teams it's not over until the final whistle, recall Arsenal played very pressed hard to score their winning goal yet couldn't score during the regulation time until during the extra time, honestly try and watch the match highlights you would have an idea how the two goals was scored.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 03, 2023, 06:53:40 PM
Arsenal best goal and best performance. Honestly, this is a big blow for Man United, including Erik Ten Hag. Arsenal were able to produce extraordinary results even in the final minutes when I thought there would be no more goals after Declan Rice scored the deciding goal. But Arteta didn't waste a minute and Gabriel Jesus finished beautifully. I say spectacular because time is clearly running out. Erik Ten Hag scored a goal that is difficult to forget and is an important note because in the second half there were many wasted opportunities where Rashford repeatedly received many free passes but was too slow not to pass. So it's pretty clear Man United will be disappointed with this result.
Arsenal performed extraordinary to beat Man United 3-1, a match full of tension and buying and selling attacks. An additional goal in the last minute by Gabriel Jesus surprised me, they deserve to be challengers for the championship this season. Ten Hag were under pressure again after this defeat, their new recruit Rasmus Hojlund couldn't do much.
Overall Arsenal dominated possession of the ball, what happened when the score turned into a draw was very fast.
Man Utd was very awful in today's match, they only rely on counter attack to score their goals first with Rashford goal and secondly with Ganarcho goal which was ruled out for offside, It obvious Man Utd game plan was to sit back and launch counterattack, however Arsenal were up to their task, they took most the possessions and lunch their attack from the back unfortunately missed some glaring chances by Kai Havertz and Saka, Man Utd unfortunately finished the match with two old ineffective defenders Evans and Maguire whose impact wasn't good enough, honestly Man Utd haven't live up to expectations so far  this season Erik ten Hag has a lot of work to do his team else the team would lose their chances of winning any trophy.

So, I am sitting here thinking about how my first Bitcoin experience was, and I can't remember. Suddenly, I am thinking, how was your first Bitcoin experience? If you remember your first Bitcoin experience so please tell me.
It was indeed an experience I would never forget in a hurry, I still remembered that first experience with nostalgia, recall when I started filling capther for mrai which is then exchanged for Satoshi and paid to my Blockchain.info wallet, it was a daily paid task the more the task the more Satoshi you will earn thus a time consuming task, however I was very excited after opening my wallet and sent my btc address for onward payment of my task dues, the first time I logged in to wallet and saw some Satoshi on my wallet it an incredible experience basically because I learnt how to open a new wallet, how  to transact with it and other related stuffs myself through the internet which was a real practical test and experience to me.

Chelsea must have spent around 450 million euros for transfers this summer. However for now there are still serious issues to be seen. Their start to the season isn't impressive at all. They lost to Nottingham home today shockingly. Will we really see a similar scenario this season? Because they spent a lot of money last summer also but the result of it wasn't positive.

It is early to talk about such things of course. However I'm worried about their future games already as I have seen this bad scenario before.

I hope the team improve their effort as soon as possible. Nkunku's absence is felt so much. Jackson signing hasn't been beneficial for Chelsea yet.
Chelsea cannot save money in every transfer window. Where they also did crazy things in last season's transfer window and this continues in this summer's transfer window. I think they are taking a big gamble by buying players with high price tags but their abilities haven't been tested enough so far.

Chelsea even released some of their best players this season, such as Pulisic, where he showed impressive quality with AC Milan and also a number of other high-quality players who were released by Chelsea. Well, Chelsea have just reaped bad results after they were beaten in front of their supporters. It is quite difficult to imagine their fate this season, the players are increasingly under pressure and their new coach has not been successful enough so far.
Personally I don't expect a instant turn around of Chelsea by Pochettino unfortunately many of their fans wanted an immediate impact and positive result having considered £450m spent on signing new players this season, I think Pochettino should be given enough time to rebuild the team of course they have some prospects and promising talented young players in their squad, Sterling, Chilwell and Tiago Silva were the old and experience players in the squad therefore it's going to take time for the new signings to be integrated into team, of course they team isn't playing badly unfortunately luck isn't on their side in some of the matches they had played and their final third has been very wasteful in front of goal.

Manchester City have reached a very different level. Their most important player Kevin De Bruyne is out due to injury but this team continues to work like a machine. They are again the biggest favorites in the league and in the Champions League. When I look at the games played in the league, I see that it is very unlikely that any team other than Arsenal will challenge them. Arsenal also started the league very badly this season. Liverpool and Manchester United have been almost absent for a couple of seasons. It's too early to talk about it, but Manchester City are the clear favorites again.

Manchester city has prove it again that they will still dominate in this season to lift many titles, because they have showcased some good performance from the beginning of this season to maintain constant three points. Despite the injuries some Manchester city are experiencing from some matches but they are still winning to make their coach have hope that they can perform well without all those players in this season, and they were able to defeated Fulham 5-1 to embrace another victory. I think Arsenal is more stronger than Liverpool in this season, because they are still struggling to defeat Chelsea in their first match.

Well I also commend Man City for their brilliant performance against Fulham, however I think they up their game in the second half, Fulham was able to stop or curtain them in the first half which wasn't there best, from my own point of view they aren't the favorite champion both in the league and UCL yet because it's too early to brand them as the champions having played any UCL matches yet and some of the top EPL clubs had strengthened up and look very formidable invariably will march Man City head-to-head this season, club like Tottenham, Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Brighton will them a run of their money and there are 34 more matches to be played including many competitive matches is to be played.
