141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 31, 2024, 04:57:09 PM
Liverpool will not want to give up the lead. They will most likely win tonight's game.
Liverpool missed the championship by 1 point two years ago, but I think they will be champions this year.

The match between Liverpool and Chelsea will undoubtedly be the most important match of the day. Chelsea spend a lot of money on transfers but they are not better than Liverpool in terms of squad quality. Also, Liverpool are better in terms of the quality of play on the pitch. Liverpool are better than Chelsea in every way. Of course, it's not right to have a definite opinion about the result of this match because both teams are well established in the Premier League and it will be a difficult match for both teams, but I think Liverpool are better than Chelsea. Also, this will be Jurgen Klopp's last year at Liverpool. I'm sure they will do everything to crown this season with the title.
Apart from Chelsea's unstable condition, I think this match will also be a match that Liverpool players will use to add points. The Reds certainly don't want to lose their momentum, especially playing at Anfield. Apart from that, the target of getting points in every match is also the main target for Liverpool players to give a sweet farewell to their manager Jurgen Klopp. So in the next match I will still support Liverpool even though Chelsea are also coming to target points.
Though the odd favors Liverpool to win against Chelsea today especially when playing at Anfield as well as trying to consolidate their first position on the table, however I can't write off Chelsea even though they have been very inconsistent recall both team drew their first leg and I believe Chelsea would give Liverpool  a run of their money having won their last three matches and I think Salah would be needed in this type of match to create chances, assist and even score goals for Liverpool though the other Liverpool attackers had been living up to expectations yet I think they had so far played less formidable opponents except Arsenal whom they defeated in FA cup in match the gunners missed their own chances, I am predicting a draw between the two teams.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 31, 2024, 04:43:06 PM

Do you really see gambling as more of fun than a means to a financial end?

how much can you put into gambling before it removes the fun aspect of gambling out of it?
Personally I view gambling as fun in as much as I only gamble with the amount of money I can afford to lose and as a soccer fan it makes sense to me watching the game as well as placing bet on my favorite teams that are likely going to win having  in-depth knowledge on soccer and it's bettings makes gambling on it as fun especially when I accumulated many matches with reasonable odd while staking with small amount of money, though earning money from gambling also serves as alternative source of income for me, infact I read stories of some third world countries where there is high rate of youth unemployment thus those resorted to gambling to make ends met.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 31, 2024, 02:09:38 PM
Aston Villa was only able to win one match in the last five matches, lossing points they obtained allowed Tottenham to overtake their position and kick them out of the top four of the standings. Aston Villa gradually experienced a decline in performance, Unai Emery fleet was no longer as consistent as in the first half of the season. Predicted to be like the next Leicester City, now Aston Villa doesn't seem to be able to maintain its position to lock in a ticket to the Champions League.

The latest defeat to Newcastle left a big question mark as to why they were able to lose points again, even though we see that Newcastle is experiencing quite a serious injury storm. I feel it will be difficult for Aston Villa in the future to break into the top four again if Tottenham overtake them, they will get an additional 3 points by beating Brentford tomorrow. For Newcastle, the victory they just got broke the bad results they had in their last four matches, an additional 3 points put them in 7th place in the standings temporarily.
I knew from onset that Aston Villa won't be able to sustain their winning ways consistency in the league definitely fatigue would set in on their players just like when Tottenham Hotspur enjoyed an unbeaten runs during the beginning of the league thereafter dropped out of form, truly winning a single match out of five is absolutely a very poor performance for a UCL spot chasing club as it is now Aston Villa would likely drop down if Tottenham wins their next match as you rightly said infact the last spot of UCL would be  keenly contested, meanwhile Newcastle needed to get back to their winning ways too so as ease the pressure on Howes who had recently been criticized for some poor runs, however their win against Aston Villa means they would compete for the last UCL spot with Tottenham, Aston Villa,  West Ham and even Man Utd.
144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: January 31, 2024, 01:53:34 PM
Truly many newbies in trading always think that they had finally achieved their aim of being profitable after some few learning days of trading thus with some little practicing and carried away with some few profits not knowing that trading is not a child play it requires through learning to acquire the vast knowledge required to become profitable even experience traders continue to learn everyday infact experience and profitable traders always recount their stories of how they blew so many accounts when they started trading but not never relent of course they were determined to be successful in trading that is why persevere and continue to learn and practice consistently before they were able to achieve their aim
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 30, 2024, 05:38:17 PM
Nottingham Forest will host Arsenal at home.Arsenal are a little bit out of the title race but I think they will recover. The opponent is difficult but they have a good chance of winning.Nottingham Forest need points if they want to stay in the league but I am not sure if they will have the strength to get points from this match.I don't expect Arsenal to lose.
Luton Town will host Brighton at home.Brighton are one of the hardest teams to beat in the league and they usually give their opponents a hard time in some matches.Although Luton Town want to stay in the league, I don't think they can afford to stay in the league. That's why I think Brighton will not lose this match.
Nottingham Forest is a strong team, they often cause problems to opponents, but Nottingham play unstable, they alternate wins and losses. I think Nottingham will not be able to take points from Arsenal, but Forest play on their own field and for sure they will try to give a fight to the Gunners. So my choice, both teams will score and Arsenal will win.
Nottingham Forest is surely difficult team, but their current performance is not good with they have only one win from their last few games at home and overall their performance is also not good even their record against Arsenal is impressive but as we have Arsenal in last game most chances they will not give them any chance of dominance because now they need to be at his best otherwise things can out of their control.

Now it's testing time for the Arsenal because they needed full three points and Nottingham is having few good wins which are surely scary for any team but still most chances we will have good performance from the Arsenal as they are now again at their best for keeping things tough for staying at the better level in chance for the title.
All the five fixtures in the premier league would be difficult matches especially all the relegation battling clubs playing because they  would always prove difficult for any team to play against them, Nothingham Forest is 16th on the table with 4 points above relegation wouldn't want to give any room for complacency because a loss against Arsenal tonight might move them closer to the relegation zone, while Luton Town and Sheffield United both in relegation zone would fight hard to win their matches against  Crystal Palace whoo equally had been struggling in the league and Brighton, meanwhile another tough match to watch out for is between in-form Aston Villa vs Newscastle, the host would aim for a win so as to consolidate their 4th position on the league.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 30, 2024, 05:17:52 PM
Hey, guys! Are any of you emotional gamblers who often lose because you can't control what you feel? When you lose, do you tend to double your bets or chase your losses, driven by a pride that can't accept defeat? Do you consider this a problem? If so, has anyone here been able to solve this kind of problem themselves, and if yes, how did you do it?

I have this problem, and based on my personal experience, I find that sometimes I get challenged but not too greedy because I don't have a problem quitting when I'm winning. However, when I'm losing, that's where my struggle lies.

That's why I shared it here; I feel that some of you may experience the same challenges, and I'd love to hear your ideas or experiences on how to win this battle so we can enjoy gambling.
Trying to chase losses is very common to most newbie gamblers it a big issue that require strict discipline before it can be overcome, I had personally experience that same issue of not controlling emotions after streaks of losses unfortunately in my bid to recover those losses I ended up with more losses because at that moment I always gamble blindly withy following my strategy, however I overcame that challenge by always funding my gambling account with small and fixed amount of money which I can afford to lose thereafter bet with bit amount of money in the account, if I win consistently I always ensured that I withdraw my profits and if I lose a bet I close my App and waited for another opportunity before logging in again.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your altcoin holding with low value on: January 29, 2024, 09:31:36 PM
Nothing one can do about the being low value, but have to be patient and have faith one day the coin will be retract back as long the alt-coins has future and was not dumped suddenly, it was low because of bear market and only way to get value back is to have patience.
That is last option is just to hodl those low value altcoins who knows probably someday when crypto market experience a turn around into a bullish market definitely some of those coins would also gain some values therefore the patience and perseverance for hodl even when the price was low yet refuse to dump them that patience would pay off, I also have few of those coins in my wallet and kept hope alive I won't make any mistake of selling at a very low price having considered all effort in their promotion.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Older men vs Younger boys in gambling, Which enjoys Gambling for fun the more? on: January 29, 2024, 04:38:08 PM
Hi gamblers,

So, a particular discussion on the gambling board which I am part of; actually put this question into my head, and I thought I should ask the gambling community here, so we could possibly have some fun discussion it.

And the question is very simple, Between the older men (talking of from 60 years old and above), and younger men (talking of from 18 to 45 years of age) which of this category of men actually gamble for fun the more?

If I was to answer this question, I did say that the older men are more likely to be gambling for fun, than the younger men, and this is due to several reasons which I am not going to mention yet, but will see users who share in this same view of mine will be able to also come up with same reasons.

So, feel free guys and ladies, lets discuss.
I think the younger men gamble for fun mostly than older men, this is because men of 60 years would be disinterested in gambling due to their age and would rather resort to other meaningful ventures, I can't imagine someone 60 years of age mingling with younger men in a betting shop while trying to place a bet even betting online would no longer be fun, I believe people in that age category would have quit gambling because it's no longer fun, meanwhile with reference to soccer gambling most of those young men are footballer fans and some are players as well thus knew all the basic aspect of soccer bettings and sharing of some soccer matches analysis in their group forum or chat all these makes gambling as a fun
149  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 29, 2024, 04:16:46 PM
Financial education is a skill that is not been taught in schools, but to me it's the most important subject a man must learn in other to be financially independent.
This knowledge gives you smart money making decisions, and it improves your standards of living, It gives you priceless money management skill, you can't spend more than what you earn as a financial literate.
I still don't know why it's not been taught in schools up till now.
The  rich dad poor dad by Robert kiyosaki explain all what it entails and the stability it gives financially.

I think our educational curriculum should be updated to incorporate financial education in all category of courses be it in business education, engineering etc the importance of the aspect of education cannot be overemphasized because earning decent income from any source whether salary or wins from gambling means there is the need to manage those fund wisely and put it into other money earning investment such as investing it in cryptocurrencies, estate etc this is were financial education comes into play, unfortunately due to lack of that knowledge a lot people had failed to invest wisely rather squandered their money and spend it lavishly some of them ended up in penury with such knowledge a lot people would have some decent savings from profits earned from various investment.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 29, 2024, 02:10:21 PM
Super Eagle has only conceded a goal out of their four matches played so far in the tournament. This could be our best AFCON match so far because our defense and frontline are strong, coupled with we have a good goalkeeper.
Nwabali has not really been tested because our defense has been very good. Nwabali was subbed out of the game because of an injury from the rough play of the Cameroonians, we await to hear good news about his return because we cannot trust Uzoho at this stage of the competition where the competition is getting more serious.

I liked the seriousness I saw in our players yesterday against Cameroon, they bullied the Indomitable lions all through the game. Pressed hard and were aggressive. If we can be that serious against Angola, we will beat them.
Nwabali is not looking to me like a very good keeper but then he's a preferred choice than uzoho , so far our defense has been really fantastic in their performance and have made it that there have been no serious threat to test nwabali to the ebest of his ability but so far I think he will make a better combination with the Eagles defense line than with Uzoho, the few minutes Uzoho played yesterday shows how chaotic he could be if he were to have played in the full time .

I'm hoping the Eagles maintain the strength around their defense and possibly improve it so they can see their selves to the finals even though they haven't been so outstanding in all their performance but so far they have been making progress.
From own point of view Nwabali is calm with has a perfect timing of aerial balls though he had not really been tested to determine whether he is a goalkeeper, however as the team progress surely we would know if he is a good goalkeeper though credit goes to the Super Eagle defence line who had been very solid and covered Nwabali well, I think as the team play the quarterfinals and playing against Angola a formidable opponent definitely the abilities of Nwabali would be well tested onthe condition that their defence would not be solid that day of course I dout if their defence line would slack thus wouldn't give any room for complacency and Nwabali may not be well tested throughout competition till finals.
151  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie traders, work on yourself. on: January 29, 2024, 01:52:17 PM
Newbies should just forget about relying with shortcuts and trade signals but none of them will help them thrive to be a good trader. But if they want to taste how it is going to be with having bad experience then they can try if they are okay burning their money.
Because no matter how they shill these groups and trading signals, only owners of it will profit.

I'm absolutly gree with you. In the end only the owner of the trading signals will get benefit from the consulting fees and their services.

Rather than spending money on that things which is very uncertain, is the better to learn independently from websites and YouTube and then prove it yourself in the market. Maybe signals from other people will help a little, but without your own analysis it will be course backfire someday. If this happens, who is to blame?
The major problem with newbies is sitting down to learn the skills and the time to learn all the skills to become a profitable trader is much to them until they learn in a hard way after losing and liquidating their accounts that is when few of them sit down to learn few of them would resort to taking signals from signal providers while others would quit trading, trading is hard it requires a total commitment toward learning it, however there are a lot of resources for learning trading online infact apart from YouTube videos there is twitter where plenty of experience trader posted valuable trading stuffs and materials for newbies who passionate to learn trading.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are these P2P crypto platforms SCAM? on: January 28, 2024, 03:35:48 PM
I am kind of new to the crypto era, and I am wondering if any of these P2P platforms scammed or legit?

- Paxful
- Bybit
- OKX
- Phemex
- Bitget

Maybe these sound familiar to you but this is my first month into this game and I want to pick the right ones.

Thanks
Personally I have been using Binance P2P for many years without any issues, their services is topnotch with fast transactions once paired with buyer or seller, however KYC mandatory to enjoy their services and KYC is in tiers depending on the amount of money or coins to be transacted, I had some few experience with paxful then though no issues with that platform too, but since I ported to Binance I stopped using it, other exchanged mentioned I never use their services thus no comment on them, meanwhile beware of fake Binance telegram which some fraudsters used to scam unsuspecting people of their hard earned money.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 28, 2024, 03:26:37 PM
If I had the opportunity to have that much money I would immediately withdraw it without further ado, maybe this depends on my finances, but in a different situation if we consider it is not a large amount and can be easily obtained of course we finish the game until the final, whether we lose or not. If we win, we are ready to accept it
Personally I won't even consider anything about my finances even if I have extra money or source of income that won't stop me from cashing out that bet instead of losing everything, I have seen someone who had such opportunity to cash out huge sum of money with only a single match to go despite all pleas by his friends to cash out yet he defied all their advices because the last match was between Barcelona against a lowly rated club, he bet on Barcelona to win thus expecting to cashing out big unfortunately I think Barcelona drew or lost that match consequently losing all his winnings, it was a very terrible scene because people gathered around him to console him for a big opportunity lost. So if such an opportunity came my way I won't make a mistake not to cash out.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 28, 2024, 03:15:30 PM
The match against Norwich will probably be quite an easy match. So of course Klopp will rotate his core players with second-tier players. So some of the main players may not be given full playing time. I think at least 2 goals will be scored in this match. Maybe even more.

I just remembered that Liverpool have 2 matches that will be quite difficult in the EPL, namely against Chelsea and Arsenal. Maybe against Chelsea won't be so difficult. But against Arsenal might be a serious challenge for Liverpool. Because Arteta's team cannot be underestimated. Since last season they have continued to try to win the title and compete with Man City. In the FA Cup Liverpool can beat Arsenal. But in the EPL I don't think it will be as easy as in the FA Cup.

Arsenal also looks to be improving at the moment. Arsenal even scored 5 goals in the match against Crystal Palace, which shows that their goal productivity is starting to increase again.
I hope that Liverpool, with this busy schedule, can continue to maximize their performance. In the Premier League, preparing to face Chelsea and Arsenal requires full strength, while it is not certain that Moh Salah will play. A difficult challenge and will slightly disrupt the players concentration because they will lose an important figure in the club. Maybe Jurgen Klopp doesn't want to end the season with bad results in the remaining time he has. Plus the difference in points from Man City pursuit still cannot be said  to be completely safe. The solution against Norwich Klopp needs to rotate players so they can be ready  against Chelsea and Arsenal.
Meanwhile Klopp played a strong team against Norwich though Liverpool is leading by 2-1 I think Klopp wanted his team to comfortable lead Norwich with a wide goal margin before substituting some of his key so as to rest them for their next tough match against Chelsea on Wednesday thereafter their next fixture on Sunday against Arsenal and I believe those two upcoming matches are make or mar fixtures which are very crucial matches that would put them as a real title contender if they win those two matches, however a poor result from those matches would jeopardize their title bid to give opportunity for Man City to reclaim the top position.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 27, 2024, 10:37:20 PM
Cameroon are the better side when it comes to the midfield play. But they have not being able to do any real damage. Their attack have been weak, kudus to the Nigerian defense. Nigeria has done a great job in the first 45 minutes. I expect a more feisty game in the second half. I wouldn’t mind if the manager switches to a full defense and try to not concede a goal.
Truly the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon were solid in the midfield but poor attack imagine they couldn't play a single shot on goal throughout the 90 minutes even with the introduction of Aboubakar no impact he never threaten, however I give kudos to the Super Eagle defence who caged the Cameroonians attackers and were very solid at the back while Victor Osimhen the Nigerian striker charged their opponent defence offront he couldn't give them any room to move in to support their midfielders, it's a good game overall the Nigerian team.were tactically sound played with a lot of confidence and consequently got rewarded with two beautiful goals and a well deserve win.
156  Economy / Economics / Re: How to stay poor! on: January 27, 2024, 05:04:36 PM
It is very easy to stay poor  Cheesy I would say if you want to stay poor do not start any business, do not invest in any good asset, Do not work on your good ideas, do not make good strategies, do not take the advice of Good people, do not work on your own dreams just keep thinking I will do it tomorrow and that tomorrow will never come for you.

If you really want to achieve any goal, make good strategies and implement them on your ideas,s and be your own boss.  Smiley
Good sarcasm, I would rather start a business if I have extra money to fund the business so as to stay out of poverty, I would also invest in a good assets especially Bitcoin when it price had dumped knowing that during the bull runs I would earn reasonable profit after selling all or part of my assets thus I won't be poor again, I would implement my good ideas into real business and strategy earning money to make extra income therefore I shall never be poor again, more importantly taking good advices is another way of escaping poverty all the good advice might yield positive effects on my personal life and enabling my dream to become a reality.
157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No one has gone broke taking profits, always take profits. on: January 27, 2024, 03:00:02 PM
I started learning how to trade and my teacher just told me this advice that no one has gone broke taking profits when trading. I have always wanted to earn Bitcoin but I have been confused how to start then decided that I'll learn how to trade. I have been reading through the forum and I see lots of advice about holding and it's looking like if you sell you're not doing the correct thing. The first advice I have received is that I should always take profits. My teacher said the profits you take is better than all imagining profits you'll think that you can get in the future if you keep holding. He didn't say holding is bad but I got advice not to neglect the profits that I can take. I got this advice and I want to share it with everyone, always take profits.
Your teacher ought to have clarify to you the differences between investment in Bitcoin and trading of cryptocurrencies they are two different ball m game being a profitable trader you won't get broke because your profits would be exchanged or converted to fiat for other purposes and have funds to spent, however to attain the feat of becoming a profitable trader it takes a lot of personal effortsl,  sacrifices, learning the skills, charting time, leaning both fundamental and Technical Analysis, meanwhile as an investor of Bitcoin you might get broke if there is no backup to finance other personal needs because it takes time before earning some decent profits as cryptocurrency hodler that is only during the bull run
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin an opportunity like land on: January 27, 2024, 02:36:22 PM
I agreed that both land and Bitcoin are valuable assets especially if the bought land is the highbrow area however a person also needed some funds to buy at a cheaper price, personally I buying of Bitcoin at a cheaper price is preferable than buying a land because the might have a fixed price which might be affordable with the available fund this is where Bitcoin has a comparative advantage over land because whatever available amount can be used to buy Bitcoin compared to buying a land, with reference to all the previous bearish runs in the price of Bitcoin firstly in the wake of COVID-19 epidermic it price dumped it provides opportunity to buy dip with any available fund unlike buying of land.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 27, 2024, 02:09:09 PM
Last season we saw Arsenal's lack of consistency towards the end. Until the end of the season, Arsenal was number one in the points table but they performed poorly in the last few matches and Manchester City took advantage of that opportunity and with a great performance at the end, Manchester City became the Premier League champions last season. This season, Liverpool is performing consistently in the Premier League and Manchester City's performance is quite good. In this case, I don't see much chance of Arsenal to be in the top two positions in the Premier League this season. Either Manchester City or Liverpool can win the title this season. However, from the position Liverpool are in now, if they perform well in the last few matches, Arsenal will also have some chances.
I will not be surprised when everything still boiled down to  Manchester city still becoming champions of the premier league for three times straight. Manchester are very much consistent and stable than any of the of two teams you mentioned although Liverpool id a really tough nut to crack and I feel they are the only team that still pose a treat to the likes of Manchester city but still I believe city will come out victorious especially now that the midfield genius is back and ready to perform @ Kevin de byrune.
If Man City eventually wins the league it going to be four consecutive times thus another record broken because there is no any premier league club that had broken that record, though it's two early to predict the likely winner with 17 matches to go and Liverpool had become a strong contender now, though Arsenal had some bad results in the some of their previous matches but came back strongly against Crystal Palace by defeating them 5-0 if they are consistent with that performance then they can as well become a contender too, however premier league had become very competitive such that many underdog teams do create upset and the winner of the trophy might emerge in the last week of the league matches.
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 26, 2024, 08:31:26 PM
Very surprising news for Liverpool fans. jurgen klop and some coaching staff will resign at the end of the season. must start looking for a quality replacement coach if you don't want to immediately become a mid-table mediocre team.
Maybe Xabi Alonso is the best candidate to replace Jurgen Klop.
I also agree that Xabi Alonso would be a very good replacement for Jurgen Klop, Xabi Alonso being an ex player of the club couple with his brilliant and impressive performance at Bayern Leverkusen, Steven Gerrard would have been another option unfortunately his short stint in Aston Villa was miserable and was consequently sacked, Xabi Alonso had been doing tremendous job at Bayern Leverkusen the  club presently top Bundesliga table having displaced a once dominating club Bayern Munich from the top to the second position, a return to Liverpool as their would be a welcome development though EPL is more competitive than Bundesliga, however if given the job he would definitely continue where Jurgen Klopp stop by
