I think the most productive way to respond to a post like this is to both:
1. actually answer his question and help him with exactly what he says he wants 2. also share that it may not be in his best interest to gpu mine btc for all the reasons posted in this thread
Now this is a professional approach, i agree, I also hate people wasting my time giving me a song with a drum beat and no beautiful synths and strings, and not helping me. I also want to learn and giveback what i know to others. Again, hate being pushed to urls all the time with insufficient information, if i didnt bother with google then i would not have come here either. I took the effort to register here in the first place. Anyways i was also looking around for ways to mine Bitcoin or even the algo SHA256/d - unsure if they are the same, but i have managed to get my CPU miner going on my i7 2600 but it obviously seems like it it going to be the Kalahari here and no water for the animals for kilometers to come. I tried the same pool in my case which was a nicehash lotto pool apparently .... but my SGminer gives me no failed status and or --debug doesnt help me at all since the screen clears , God knows why - so i.e. pause in a batch files doesnt help since i dont see the cleared error if there is one... Unsure how to use Sgminer in most cases even if i refer to --help. It doesnt help me solve issues i have previously had where the mining seems to begin for a certain coin and then i get many HW errors. And of course my most recent one where it just bombs out and goes back to a prompt. I do not understand how you know what SGminer algos are supported, unlike cpuminer.exe or minderd.exe which actually tell you which algorithms are supported when you type --help. Though i have noticed u get certain hacked versions of those file where the guys completely strip out the algos and only leave a few in the code, unsure why also. Enough waffling, sorry.

HOW TO MINE BITCONNECT COIN? To Earn Block reward through PoW mining BitConnect Coin, follow the below steps Instruction for solo miningStep1. DOWNLOAD BITCONNECT WALLET FOR YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM.BitConnect coin uses a special algorithm called the POW/POS to secure the BitConnect Coin network. In order to solo mine POW BitConnect coin, you’ll need a BitConnect coin wallet. You will need to wait for the blockchain to download if this is your first time using the wallet. Be patient it can take awhile. Download the wallet software for Windows operating system. (Note: Guide on Linux, and OSX BitConnect Wallet available soon.) Step2. CONFIGUREIn window, Open start menu, Search %appdata%, You can see 'roaming/bitconnect' folder. Close your wallet and create bitconnect.conf by using notepad editor in 'roaming/bitconnect' folder. Simply copy and paste the following lines in bitconnect.conf file and save it. bitconnect.confrpcuser=Your_UserName rpcpassword=Your_Password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=4210 listen=1 server=1 addnode=128.199.166.25 addnode=138.68.49.29 addnode=188.166.158.172 addnode=159.203.21.28 Open BitConnect wallet by double click on bitconnect.exe. If you want to mine on a Windows Operating System, then you'll need to create your miner batch file to point to the wallet. Click here and download zip file Extract the zip file Simply open notepad and then copy and paste the following line or Download this pre-configured RunMe.bat file and place it in your miners directory. RunMe.batminerd --url=http://127.0.0.1:4210 --userpass=username:passwordNow save the file as "RunMe.bat" in the same folder containing your miners application files. You are now ready to mine first POW BitConnect coin Block, double click on "RunMe.bat" to start mining. We can see like : (Remember: When mining solo as mention earlier, it takes a bit of luck to 'find' block, but when you do solve block, all of the coins related to that block are yours to keep. While this is enticing for the beginner, you are better off mining in a pool.)
[/quote] for some reason the command is not right? You need to also put in "--coinbase-addr=" ?? Not sure, please confirm.

hello everybody I have tried to mine this solo. My wallet is up to date and synched. I have created a monacoin.conf in the same directory as the qt wallet.exe I have run just a regular minerd.exe command as such:

Dont know what the hell is going on and how u do this, i always find solo mining a pain in a butt. I have only successfully managed to mine Bitsend solo. I would love to try other coins.... something...

I am so confused here and i dont know what the hell to do anymore.
How do you convert the coins you mined to BTC | bitcoin.
I have click on say zcash and then i enter in my address of my bitcoin and then i enter in my pin number and i click on update BUT then it says invalid address , i dont understand
Do you really have to have address for all those coins? this is crazy.
There must be way to convert all the mined data to BTC ?
Please assist me if you can , and i appreciate lay-mans easy speak please. I am not advanced.

its 22 dollar worth but for me its like300 bucks i can buy 1.5 weeks worth of petrol or 6 KFC meals. i dont understand it i just dont see it...
I only have one measly pc i mine with which has 1 card and it took me bloody 3-4 weeks
myh only problem is that when i was starting this stuff i installed 3-4 bitcoin cores on one of 2 Desktops with 3 different OSes in total and then also my laptop but it is not in those wallets whats weird is that i see like 2 or 3 in the one wallet i dont know why
maybe i was fking around and i deleted the address from the wallet?
that is long gone then right ?

HI, i have been mining to a bitcoin address and i dont know where the hell i got it from, as in which computer of my 2-3, i can not find the correct wallet with it inside. When i open the Bitcoin Core i just click on File -> Receiving Addresses. Right ?
Such a fking idiot, Im not sure if i can allocate the address to me somehow? 2 weeks of mining for nothing, i was to fcking scream now.

Screw eye candy bullshit.
I would get the cheapest card for ROI.
If u can Gigabyte G1/Asus Strix is the best value for bang! (RX480 4GB | RX470 4GB respectively with Ali G , aight)
Asus is rubbish in terms of speed though for what i have seen on video reviews, but the price is good, if u get it get the card make sure its the Strix version not the Rog rubbish, the Saphire Nitro+ great and the XFX great. I would not get a single fan card , speaking of which XFX seem to have 3 versions of the RX470.... so be aware and get the right one. Though i have given my input the Asus is probably the better priced, then Gigabyte if you lucky for where u stay i know what u mean and i know the feeling, i also stay in the middle of nowhere. For me the PowerColor and HIS are the cheapest here. Another let down for me is the MBPS pipe size on the ASUS, which is 6600 and not 7000 like most the RX470's. It must serve for a purpose else it would not be a specification in the design.
PowerColor i have to say is a great card it performs well, they reckon for overclocking though the XFX, HIS Q3, then Nitro+ kills. Asus and Gigabyte for me no back plate heatsink but they have 2 fans at least and maybe better price where u stay.
For me where i stay the bastards rape you for your money before your virginity, so i sourced mine from overseas and used a muel to bring it in for me to skip shipping bullshit. ebay and alliexpress is a horrible source with monster prices, bloody crooks.
I have the PowerColor 4GB currently and am waiting on the Nitro+ 8GB 470 got it at a steal though to get the money back is going to take for ever i might not make it to Monaco soon.
Sorry i cant say much about MSI but their motherboards are great. Their graphics cards look too fancy looking for me so i would imagine they inflate the prices.
Hope this helps you decide what to buy.
It took me 4 weeks to decide.

It looks like it's working, but please be aware that solo mining with a cpu is going to take a long time to find a block and (imo) you would be far better off mining with a pool. What CPU are you using btw? I was getting 103 Kh/s using opt-miner v3.6.1 with 8 threads on my Ryzen 1700X @ 4.0ghz.
This video might be helpful for cpu mining BitSend. He is getting a much higher hashrate as well.
Im using a machine which was given to me because i didnt expect to be doing this and recently upgraded from the world of the past AGP Athlon 2500+ to Socket 939 slightly better BUT then i jumped to FM2+ x4 860K ... what a difference. Like i said though i didnt realize i would stumble up on this which i find interesting for my mid life crises. Being a not so well of person, i decided to buy the RX470 card and i now have it, but i seem to be having speed issues or i dont know software bugs? God knows. I eventually got it right and re-installed the 16.11.1 driver set BETA and now it seems to be okay again...BUT although the hash rates seem to be normal again the Pay rate is really not-good (usualy should be 1.70-> 1.85 sometimes even 1.93), i dont understand why but now it is like 1.69 its ridiculous. I have a screen shot to prove that i WAS mining at a pay rate of 2.49 at least with only 1 RX470 and this CPU i have now - CPU seems to pay at about 32 cents to 45 cents. Yeh so sorry to get back where i was for you , i then just dont even bother with my AMD anymore, great board and stuff but i dont like the fact that the CPU is weak. My friend gave me his LGA 1155 i7 2600k CPU so very very thankful for that. not the best board as it is micro atx and it doesnt overclock apparently. It does have 2 PIC-E slots and then it has the small one also - in case i felt like putting myself in more debt i decided to also buy the PCI Riser board in which case if i ever decide to buy 2 more GPUs then i can try to learn more from the experts like you. So thats my story , more or less. Nicehash works great for me using the Claymor Ethermner 12 at a rate of 24 MH/s and the XMR_STAK_CPU program which hashes at about 250 H/s BUT wht a pain to jipo or mess around with the config_0.txt file for XMR_Stak_CPU because it keeps on mining with 2-3 threads and not the whole toot So i just add in 4 lines and i write protect the file and it seems to work then. I guess i still dont know what i am doing and i need to learn further Would appreciate a demo skype teamviwer desktop share setup/config session from anybody willing to help me and because i am a nice guy i dont mind to even mine for them for an hour or couple or few. Oh and i actually mined 5 coins in bitsend, i cant believe it. Only thing is it has a clock next to it and it says premature so not sure what it means. Maybe i need to leave the miner running more and my wallet open more also. For now i am playing with Nicehash trying the ifferent versions because now my Pay rate USD/day is not good i dont know why. its like at least 40-70 cents less on the GPU alone, its not right Something is fishy , and i am wondering if these miners are responsible for doing something dodgy to the drivers. Not sure. Anyways Sir, chat later. I am going to try remove my current drivers now 16.11.1 (beta) according to GPU-Z and i want to try installing 16.11.4 I mean i should not have too the hash rates look fine, BUT i dont seem to hear it pumping like i used to which is why i am suspicious of the drivers i dont know? not sure if they just break or bug out ?

Hi, no didnt know there was a command line option even.... i dont think i understand the wallets properly then i mean in terms of what to download. I have this file - C:\Users\imrepc\Downloads\windows-bitsend-qt.exe
I just run that and make sure it is Synched.
Then I guess based on the file in : C:\Users\imrepc\AppData\Roaming\Bitsend\bitsend.conf the wallet will start up with a listening service on that port right?
Okay let me find the main thread..,. i actually did a search yesterday and i dont know how i didnt find it

Is it possible to change the RAM usage on a windows wallet, if so how?
If you missed it and don't feel like reading through the thread to use -miningaddress="address" and or optimize your miner see below 1. Make sure your wallet is closed 2. Make sure your Hodlcoin-qt.exe is on your Desktop 3. Bring up Run (Press [Window] + [R] on your keyboard) 4. Paste below in Run %userprofile%\Desktop\HOdlcoin-qt.exe -gen=1 -minermemory=2 -genproclimit=4 -miningaddress="address" *Note put your address in place of "address" like this "HEX8QLWqQ7p7MFNiN8CMrMjC2CYAy8pwi9" **Note minermemory should be "1" or "2" on windows any higher and you ger a Runtime error ***Note minermemory is the amount of Ram your using and must be multiplied by genproclimit to equal totale Threads you would like to use example (-minermemory=2 -genproclimit=4 is 8 Threads) This just confused me more now
