781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Get out of ethereum while you still can! on: June 21, 2017, 09:44:47 PM
I don't see why you have to get out of Ethereum if the price is dumping, it actually is a great time to buy Ethereum if that's the case. I would take advantage of it's low value though and buy them at it's lowest price.
782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: June 21, 2017, 10:31:33 AM
I actually didn't read it somewhere or asked someone to teach me when to sell the coins I am holding, but what I did is I usually sell them if I already feel like I've profited enough from that certain coin. And I put a target amount when selling the coin but I don't sell all of them, only take the capital and leave the profit.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I really like this upcoming ICO on: June 21, 2017, 10:01:01 AM
I think I like this new one called InsureX.  I just finished watching its video on YouTube and am really impressed. Maybe it's an upcoming ICO
Here is the video on YouTube:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hHyGNR8HP1w

Wonder if there is already a competitor.. The idea makes alot of sense

i have read the White paper last week.
I think is really a New idea in the crypto world.
But i think it will get a lot of resistence in the "real world" from the biggest Insurance Groups.
I think Insurances as AXA, Allianz, Metlife, Japan Post Insurance, Prudential Financial, Assicurazioni Generali, Avivia, will fight hard against InsureX to ensure their gains!

I agree, this is one ICO worth to keep an eye on. And it does make a lot of sense, I think a lot of investors would be interested in the concept.
784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell Bitcoin ahead of 1st Aug Hard Fork on: June 21, 2017, 09:36:12 AM
I think whether bitcoin will split or not, those who are bitcoin holders should still hold on to their btc's instead of selling them. I'm not at least worried about the split for I will HODL for as long as it takes.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins to buy before they hit the exchanges? on: June 20, 2017, 04:15:40 PM
There are a lot of coins to look out for, like PTOY for instance but I think that coin is already in Bittfinex. Mostly you can find new coins here at bitcointalk on signature campaigns so that's what I'm always looking out for. Exscudo and Monaco are I think great coins who have potential before it hits the exchanges.

787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in LTC or BTS on: June 19, 2017, 07:23:06 PM
I'd invest LTC for long term most probably between the two but LTC's price today is not a good time to buy for investment, on the other hand for BTS though I'm not really familiar with its project if it has but probably do short term on that but is not really my priority or at least not in my priority list of the altcoins.
788  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long will it be until the bitcoin price to usd starting decreasing? on: June 19, 2017, 06:57:19 PM
From which site are you trying to keep track bitcoin with because as far as I'm concerned it has been mostly declining the whole week, and monitor the charts every other day and noticed its value still around the range of $2400-$2600 this week.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best way to buy NEM/XEM ? on: June 18, 2017, 04:31:35 PM
Buy bitcoin first on an exchange site and then buy NEM at a trading site like Poloniex or Bittrex. That's what I did with my NEM holdings.

What exchange do you suggest to buy bitcoin from other than coinbase?

Try Bitfinex or Paxful, but there are a lot of exchanges depending on which country you're from and can google some too whichever you're comfortable with because there are some whose fees are high.

791  Other / Meta / Re: Sir can I give small donation for rank on: June 17, 2017, 03:51:48 PM
I am actually a supporter of your suggestion, but how would you determine the right price for the different member ranks?

If it's relatively low in price to buy yourself a certain signature size, then people will treat it as some sort of an investment that will start being profitable after posting for a month or so to get their initial 'investment' back.

Well that is to be discussed but I think it should be reasonable but not so cheap people can still afford to have dozens or hundreds of accounts but maybe a couple at the most. I think it should be roughly based on whatever sold accounts are going for right now (though I have no idea of that). If people are still buying accounts (which they are) then this suggestion would take away money from shitposting account farmers and account hackers and that money goes directly to the forum instead (which must easily lose out tens of thousands in ad revenue to signature campaigns (which cause a massive strain and stress on mods who have to attempt to clean it all up)). I think I initially proposed something like $50 for a Senior-sized signature and $100 for Hero or something. Maybe some sort of "premium" rank would also be a good idea with higher perks such as the ability to have an image banner in your signature and be able to change your name for example (which is requested a lot). The price should also be pegged to fiat as well as to avoid what happened to the current donator rank so it would always be $50 or $100 in bitcoin no matter what.

If it's too high, people will refrain from buying themselves signature space, and thus they won't be able to advertise their own stuff (e.g. services that they offer, goods, links to help out others, statements, and the list goes on).

What I actually suggested was everyone can have some sort of basic signature like Juniors can ie small text and url then everyone can still advertise their own threads etc, however if you wanted a bigger, flashy one then you would have to pay to upgrade.

This is not a bad idea at all, it might not really solve spamming problems but at least it gives them something to think about if they'd be willing to pay that much amount to rank up. Of course, most of the reason why we are here is because of the payment we receive from joining signature campaigns so I'm sure it'll give them an idea if they would just leave it as it is or spend so much just to rank up as a higher member.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Price Drop, is no-one worried? on: June 16, 2017, 07:43:38 PM
Price of almost every coin just dropped! But i still think people should not worry. Sure, if you were to sell the coins before the drop, and bought back in now, you would make some profit (get more coins, yaay). But even if you just hold onto your bags, things will soon go back to normal. Not to mention that the prices are still higher than they were about 2 weeks ago.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO] Primalbase: Distributed Workspace for Tech Community - June 26 on: June 16, 2017, 06:40:17 PM

Now I understand more about the project and what its sole purpose really is. I think this project of yours will be successful without a doubt. I'm looking forward to it and willing to support it all the way.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is happening ? = all coins down by 20 to 35 % on: June 15, 2017, 03:52:18 PM
Probably their dumping because bitcoin is dumping too. Or at least bitcoin has something to do with mostly all the alts going down.
795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long does a trade take? on: June 14, 2017, 09:32:26 AM
It depends on what kind of trading your into, there is long term which takes around 6 months or more or you can go for short term trading which takes around a day or week or a month.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO] Primalbase: Distributed Workspace for Tech Community - June 26 on: June 13, 2017, 12:08:27 PM
I can not wait to ICO start,I believe this is an interesting and a good project, MY MONEY FOR INVESTMENT IS READY.

Yes really, I think this project will be successful for the future, and this project will reach its target Smiley
allready for investment Smiley

True, and aside from its unique project I too believe this will be a successful one in the future. Same here, I just can't wait for ICO to start.
797  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at an all time high on: June 13, 2017, 09:07:14 AM
We witnessed all time high price of bitcoin in recent times and now price has gone down again but this is a good time to buy bitcoins as price will go higher in coming days too and we may surpass the 3000 usd price in next few weeks.

I just hope so, it has come down but at a small amount but we can't tell the next few weeks though. And if does go up in the coming days and reach a new ATH hopefully it won't fall down back to $1500.
798  Economy / Speculation / Re: can my bitcoin drop to nothing on: June 12, 2017, 04:55:23 PM
Yes, there's a very small chance the exchange rate could drop to nothing.  In my humble opinion there's a much greater chance that it could rise considerably in the not too distant future.  Are you hungry or have other basic needs at this moment and no other way of fulfilling them?  If so then convert your Bitcoin into that need.

Yes I do agree with you on that, not unless if you did averaging and if the bitcoin drops you buy some also on its lowest price. Like everytime it drops low you have to buy them let's say the same amount you bought your first bitcoin with. But if that's the only money you have then yeah I suggest for you to convert them instead.
799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of worst decisions do you take when trading? on: June 12, 2017, 04:25:14 PM
The worst decision I have made when trading was when the coin was pumping and I didn't really know at first what to do with trading so I bought it at its peak price then in less than a minute it dumped hard and I panicked so I sold them and left me with half of the amount I bought it with. It was some experience indeed.

I am relatively new to this whole crypto thing. I'm still strugling to understand a shitload of info, terms and generally the way this industry works. Are majority of you guys here of IT background?
Is it possible to fully educate yourself and understand crypto technology if you are not dev/programmer?

Yes it is possible if you are really interested in the cryto world and its technology of course. You don't have to be an IT Specialist/dev/programmer to know the basics. But you really have to be eager to learn about it though and a lot of patience.
