141  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will replace oil and Gold on: March 02, 2021, 12:48:35 PM
I believe that national currencies should also be added to this question, since Bitcoin has already begun to compete with oil, gold, as well as national currencies, namely, when the prices of these assets fell sharply during the economic crisis, many investors made a choice in favor of bitcoin. It is in this vein that a certain competition between these assets can be viewed.
There might have comparison/competition between oil/gold with bitcoin but they are separate thing and they will never replace one/another. They may go in  parallel with each other.
There might be competiton with gold/oil with bitcoin but replacing oil and gold for bitcoin is a different thing since there's some other use for oil/gold rather than it's fiat value.

143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The good side of banning btc in Nigeria on: March 02, 2021, 09:58:28 AM
Rather than a ban, regulation is always the good choice. As of now Nigeria holds large volume of bitcoin transactions on different services. Nigeria is much affected by the socio-economic pollitical corruption and terrorism. Just now got a news of 317 girls from a school has been kidnapped on gun point by terrorist. Week ago similar incident have taken place with teachers and no information till date. Right now it is more to think of the social problems than the economic development.
I Agree with this. There should be regulation rather than banning btc just like you've said that Nigeria holds large volume of bitcoin transactions on different services. Bitcoin may help on some various situations that can improve a certain industry by it's fundamentals.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In my school, Bitcoin is now becoming a subject on: March 02, 2021, 06:56:28 AM
I am happy for all the student who are going to become successful investor in crypto because it is being taught to them at their school.
It is a great step for crypto not just for Bitcoin to become a subject in school so that more people would be aware of it and know it properly,
Since there are still some who misunderstood it and thinks that it is a scam or illegal money.

This thread shows us that little by little, there's still progress that some of the country starts to adapt and accept bitcoin as a digital currency. We're just getting started to face the future.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [SCAM] HOTBIT EXCHANGE WITHRAWAL NOT WORKING! on: March 02, 2021, 05:09:15 AM
Try to contact the manager @Ortegaivan, he helped me back then where I also had problems. He solved everything very quickly, but that was a year ago, I don't know what it looks like now

Not defending Hotbit but they just processed my withdrawal last month.

OP's thread was January 31 so I don't think that it was the case for everyone.

There is also no update about the thread so maybe this was now resolved. OP seems active so he needs to give us an update here.
My queries did not resolved, they always refer me to a person about listing which I do not involved in. They found my account connected in API and I did not talk to whoever it is.

My 2nd inquiries still refer me to a person that they assume I talked about listing, same answer. My account is locked until I find that person which leads me to give up my withrawal and abandoned my account.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end the dollar’s reign? on: March 02, 2021, 04:53:23 AM
Bitcoin is unlikely to replace the dollar as a global currency. This is also said by one of the highest rated analysts of foreign currencies.

The global currency is the one that facilitates cross-border trade, including investment and international debt markets. Global central banks hold foreign exchange currencies to protect against significant fluctuations in exchange rates, as well as in exchange rates. I think we are a long way from when Bitcoin will be able to do that.
As today's current situation, dollar decreased from its reigning value for over several years. Yet, Bitcoin's value rises above from what we've been expecting and take note that the pandemic is still active while bitcoin's spreading its supremacy as a digital currency. For me, the current situation tells us that there's a possibility for bitcoin to replace us dollar and still bitcoin needs to have more progress from time to time.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB is No. 4 (3RD NOW) - 4th/3rd/5th again on: February 28, 2021, 04:53:46 PM
it's 3rd again now, just take a look at the volume of BNB, it's keep increasing day by day, i really think that this coin can reach 2nd soon and beat ETH,
BNB already replaced by ADA and ADA hardfork has been making this coin grows a lot today. it seems like the current MCAP of ADA will be quite difficult to be surpassed by binance again soon.
I do believe if we will see a very strict competition between ADA and BNB to get the 3rd place on CMC.
It's too far to predict if BNB will be surpassing ethereum. It must get the third position.

People are starting leaving from BNB and they move to the ADA. There's a big update on ADA.
Yeah, looks like the marketcap of BNB and Ethereum are slowly eaten by ADA. Still BNB is way far ahead than BNB and will likely surpassed 3rd place again when the quarterly burning of coins commmence and another update of Binance that will gain more benefits by hodling BNB.
148  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Buying Eth straight to myetherwallet on: February 28, 2021, 02:58:43 PM

151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did this guy just find the founder of Bitcoin? on: February 28, 2021, 10:18:04 AM
Hey, guys just wanted to know if this is legit. Its an admin approved Wikipedia post too. Check out the video this guy has posted below.  Roll Eyes

https://vm.tiktok.com/pWcvEP/
At the first place I thought this would be a legit source that can reveal who's the real satoshi but it failed again. I tried to search it by my own but it's not the same and I think it's just been changed by inspect element.
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Identify Cryptocurrency Scams on: February 28, 2021, 09:26:26 AM
If the offer is too profitable, then the chances of it being a scam are very high.
That's the main bait for those who wants to gain more by risking their assets ended up being scammed. That's why everyone were told to DYOR and TAYOR because of these kind of high profittable projects. Unless it has a good fundamentals that will improve the project from time to time, in that way, you can be sure that you're investing on the right project.
153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't be used for transactions? on: February 28, 2021, 08:59:43 AM
From what I've read, Bitcoin now charges high transaction fee and long transaction wait time so it can't presently be used:

a) for a conversion from Bitcoin to cash?
or b) purchases using Bitcoin? Huh
If you're referring a conversion from bitcoin to cash, there's some exchanges that regulates P2P. It helps you to convert your cryptocurrency to any fiat, also, there would be an escrow for the transaction you'll do for the safety of your funds. It's still the same for P2P if you purchase bitcoin on the exchange platform and Binance is an example for this.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rich people causes cryptocurrency ban on: February 28, 2021, 08:28:18 AM
I am not aware of any instance where a country or a government banned the use of bitcoin because rich people started investing in it (at least none of the developed countries did that).
However, imposing stricter regulations is a must to prevent any kind of fraudulant activities such as money laundering and tax evasion.
I Agree on this at some point. Since cryptocurrency regulates as decentralized, there's a possible action that will serve as an illegal transactions and I think that's the reason that the government should be strict and not ban to ban it since cryptocurrency's features can be used by the whole industry.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who controls the bitcoin price? on: February 28, 2021, 06:18:19 AM
In general, in my research, bitcoin is not much affected by the statements of people with high money power. Yes, Musk's tweets seemed to have had some impact, but I think he was an exception.
Musk's tweets doesn't affect bitcoin because it still depends on people who will trade on bitcoin or any other altcoins like his DogeCoin. It's just there's a lot of people who was affected by the hype of Musk's tweet that's why some of us including me thinks that he's a big deal and in favor of spreading crypto especially bitcoin.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why ETH dropped 20% from the high peak? Anyone knows? on: February 23, 2021, 02:27:42 PM
From USD2000 dropped down to USD1400 for only 2 days?

Anyone knows what is happened?   Cry
You should know the phrase "One coin to rule them all". Clearly, bitcoin is dragging all the crypto all the way down to $44k recently and is now recovering.
Ethereum is still undervalue and fixing the gas issue will make its price skyrocket.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: recent negative statement against Bitcoin on: February 21, 2021, 05:09:35 AM
Those warning should not be ignored and heard it already from different personalities. Its a basic thing that every investors should know what they are buying whether its stocks, bitcoin or crypto, banks they are all risky. Bitcoin unlike any other assets its unique because of its technology, supply structure and purpose, lets just assume that people knew these.
Yes, everything is risky for stocks, bitcoin or crypto, thus, crypto is more like near future currency that can be gain today. Unless you research about how cryptocurrencies works and what's their function, you won't be needing to doubt about it. This is the future and we're like almost advance to that timeframe.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something to consider when selling your BTC... on: February 21, 2021, 04:57:49 AM
The number of companies and institutions owning BTC will get larger and larger and the number of people holding a nice amount of BTC will get smaller and smaller.

In other words do not give everything to the big whales and try to remain in this select club because once you do it you may not be able to take them back. You may think you can but most probably you won't.

The last BTC will be mined in 2140. This coin is here to stay for you and your kids and your grandsons. Don't get too emotional by the price fluctuations, don't have weak hands and never get greedy Smiley
You got the point. Some of the bitcoin holders were on a panic selling because bitcoin is getting more and more higher value than we expect from previous years of its existence. Those who have their own bitcoin on their wallet should spend wisely from time to time so that they can still use bitcoin in the future with a great amount since the last BTC will be mined in 2140.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how many bitcoin is left ordinary people's hand? on: February 21, 2021, 04:47:54 AM
maybe I thought the company's ownership could be bigger in bitcoin, but that's actually not accurate. I try to interpret if it is possible that the ownership of the company or the pope is one entity but only different names. So in fact, it is difficult for us to trace the bitcoin owned by anyone until now, we can only check through transaction history
Yes, transaction history is the mere fact that we can use as proof that a certain person or company owns a cryptocurrency, Hence, it's not really accurate that a certain company would have more ownership than other pro-crypto traders. It's still pseudoanonymous for those bitcoin wallets who we all known as whales that holds the biggest amounts of bitcoins whether they're part of a company or not.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hit 1M on Twitter on: February 21, 2021, 04:11:09 AM
