One question I have, is there any way that files that aren't often seeded will have a higher reward for seeding? Nothing more frustrating than trying to download something obscure on utorrent and finding there are no seeds.
The rewards will be based on file size. We may implement something like this down the line, however. When it comes to storage, will your architecture function similarly to that of Storj? Not exactly. Storj splits up files and stores them on a bunch of different hosts, allowing hosts to earn coins for renting out their storage space. With Upfiring, the files will be stored on the seeders devices, so your files aren't being distributed to the a bunch of different peers in the network - only downloaders. But if the files are stored on the seeders devices, what happens if the seeders devices crash? Are the files still accessible? Storj is strong because it has a high tolerance of node failures as files a stored in a decentralized way with some overlap. With your system, are files stored only on a single seeder's device? Have you used P2P before? It's on as many devices as people who have downloaded it. So an unhealthy torrent doesn't have many seeders, and it is possible to lose stuff. |

Already 13K Eth raised in a couple of days, I think Datum could prove to become one of the most succesful ICO's of 2017!
Well, no, some ICO have raison more than 200 millions $. There is a big gap between these, but the ROI of datum investment could be by far superior to others. I judge an ICO also by how well the coin performs after the listing. datum has a lot of support and their marketing is excellent; I think the coin won't dump nearly as hard as most ICO's I hope you're right. Too much time we see some big dumps right after the ICO. Yeah I hate that, everyone just wants that short term gain. Yup. Spent 100 hours researching the ICO, now let's sell as soon as it hits the market for a $.02 gain per token! So dumb. |

Need to wait until 2019 to have a mobile wallet?? That's too long.  That is a super long time. Maybe if this is more successful they'll be able to allocate the resources and get it done sooner? Agreed, whole purpose of having a functional token like this is the ability to use it. With the mobile launch and beta so far away, there is very little incentive to buy this token in an ICO. It will not likely appreciate much in price from ICO date until platform launch as the team is not doing anything particularly innovative in the blockchain space. You are just building a sportsbook with low margins. This ICO would be more successful if you had a current website we could bet on with just bitcoin for instance to get excited about the low margin offerings with high liquidity. And then you could present the ICO and you'd raise a whole lot more. Something like Wagerr may or may not work out, but at least there is a rationale for an ICO for a project like that. I'll wait for this one and look forward to using your platform as a bettor myself when it is ready in fall of next year, but I will be holding other coins/tokens until that time as they offer far more growth from now until that time. This token has no incentive to 'get in early' so to speak. Hold your bitcoin and/or altcoins and buy this one next year guys. You'll have a lot more FAN to bet with that time. If all the tokens in week 1 were sold, it'd raise 117,000 ETH. This project doesn't need 35+ million. It could do fine with 1/10 of that amount. The minimum raise of this project at 5,000,000 should actually be the hard cap if valuations actually mattered in the crypto space. Hey cryptokyle, Thanks for the support (long-term anyway  ). There's definitely a little confusion as to the difference between a mobile wallet and a mobile app, our 2019 projection was a conservative timeline for a fully native mobile app launch...Also, our token is purely an ERC20 token, which will mean it can be stored on any mobile wallet that is set up for Ethereum altcoins. Our platform wallet will be available in conjuncture with our closed Beta launch June 2018. While we do agree with your point that the price of FAN will likely shoot up significantly upon the launching of our actual betting platform, I think your expectation that we just build out a full functioning book already operating with a 1% margin and high liquidity with zero funding is a little unrealistic - the entire point of a token sale is to generate funds to build, market and license this project. As we are taking a fully regulatorily compliant approach, there are significant legal and startup costs associated with securing licenses globally. In addition, in order to meet our aggressive timelines and plans for rapid market acquisition, there are equally significant development and marketing costs that we will be incurring. We have definitely attracted the attention of hackers and credit card fraudsters. We are seeing constant attempts to break into our site.
For maximum safety, compare the ICO Crowdsale address on the website to THIS ACCOUNT (Javvy) announcement on ICO day (Nov 1st).
For now, our defenses are holding and should withstand the attacks. This is exactly why a web-based "wallet" is not the way to go. There are too many attack vectors through a website. The Javvy wallet will be far more secure (virtually impossible to compromise) than online crypto wallets and exchanges.
This must be scary, hopefully your security team is up to snuff and can keep them at bay. |

What is the exact date of unlocking the tokens?
I believe it will be November 7th assuming all goes as planned. We have to distribute the bounty campaign tokens and then finalize the crowdsale contract. Hopefully you can stay on track, and if not hopefully you can keep us updated.  |

Anybody? Potential, sure... but I doubt it would be that high in such a short time. Then again, bitcoin is like $3000 above where I thought it would be at this time. Your asking for what like 35x in 1 year? But, even if it goes to .10 in the next year, that's a nice 3x. Try that in the stock market. That's the thing in this market, it moves so much faster than the stock market. It's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That's a good point. So this market moves at least 3x as fast as the stock market. A year on here, is like 3 normally. At least! |

No way in hell this passes in the current political climate. The entire government is republican, aren't they supposed to be for a less intrusive federal government? You still actually believe the GOP is concentrated on small government? That goes against their own interest, which is the core of all political parties nowadays. I have to agree with you here. The fact is, the banking industry is the most powerful industry in the US, and they use that power to persuade politicians through lobbying. The crypto industry is directly competing with traditional banking. So what would you do in their shoes? I'd try to kill crypto where it stood, which is exactly what they're trying to do. If only we could pull everyone together in this field and do a little lobbying of our own. |

It is reassuring. I think a lot of people see the incredibly high cap and assume you're right there with the other ICO's you mentioned just trying to get rich.
