You can probably drop the CPU down a bit since there's not really a reason for Quad Core with what you're planning on doing. You can probably go with either one of these, save yourself $80 and be fine. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103873http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103903The other thing to be worried about is that case might be a bit too tight with those two cards. It'll probably fit, but really cram stuff together. Luckily your vid cards have the power pins on top, so that should be alright. Those 6950's are pretty good and if you are a gambler, you could always flash them with a bios to unlock some of the extra shaders (don't do the 6970 bios flash, just find the 6950 shader unlock flash..) Thank you, switched to the first CPU. I'll also do some research on what the heck "flashing the bios to unlock the extra shaders" even means Tip sent.

Why do you need a dvd drive?
and you can buy much cheaper CPU!! You could boot from a usb disk
I'd like to use it as my main computer as well as a miner. Do you have a suggestion for a better priced CPU? I don't want to sacrifice performance too much and would like to be able to do light gaming and day to day uses.

Even if the core clock speeds are a little different? The Sapphire is 800mhz and the XFX is 775mhz.

Will I have problems if one is a sapphire and one is an XFX?

Can someone help me out in any way? I was hoping to use Jeremy's www.spendbitcoins.com service but it's still not up and I'm getting impatient. Maybe someone has an affiliate account already set up?

How about a view from the common man that doesn't know anything about trading? I want to gamble it up. I want an option that has someone put up a large chunk of their money, with a small chunk of my money, and if the rate drops a little bit I lose my share but if it goes up I have bigger potential for gain. No idea what it's called, but I want it. Does that count for .25c? 1C9wmmXbKy8speH3y3UCg4RzqA2ZjShLPb ?

6870, in terms of mining is a pure rip off. pay $190 for a card that performs the same as a $100 card (5830). Just look hard, you will find them help me look hard, and I'll tip for helping me find it because so far I'm not having much luck.

eww, 6870. if you're serious about mining, you will get a 5850, or a 5830
I'd love one. Any suggestions where I can find it?

Nothing major. Schoolwork, word processing, internet browsing... possibly light gaming if I ever buy a sound card.

This will be the first PC I've ever put together. Do i need to buy anything else? Any thoughts? I also want to use it for light computing/word processing/browsing. Thoughts on GPU choice? I don't have too much more room in leeway for my budget, but can afford slightly more if there's a better value on anything. THANKS!

This thread alone probably had a pretty intense effect on the selloff. It's crazy how easily the market can move.

why won't someone ddos deepbit ? if it's so scary
What a terrible and unoriginal idea. Unfortunately, for the sake of the network, we'll have to do this if [Tycho] continues to do nothing. Personally, I suggest that he double the pool's fee. It'd be a win-win for all of us. I simply don't understand how someone who is making so much money from Bitcoin would ever let the network grow so unhealthy. You don't bite the hand that feeds. Me either, which makes conspiracy theories roll through my brain. I hate conspiracy theories.

Last and only bump. Tomorrow I'm just going to crack and try to figure out how to redeem them using the scanner at my work. If it wan't clear, they are up to now unopened. I will sell these shipped for 16.75BTC, and provide any information you need to feel confident in the trade. I thought there was a large demand for these, here you get them without the bitbills charge, and you even get them cheaper. Take advantage of my ignorance people! ha.
