well maybe your ETC assets were hacked and maybe you got phished or you installed something on your device so thieves can easily find out how to get into your wallet, so I suggest that you can make this case your experience now. and as much as possible to not be affected by cases like this again. The best sugestions we can give now is never use that wallet again. Maybe some one know his privatekey already thats why its transfered to another wallet. The question now to OP is there any one you know that you give the keys friends or any one close to you that know you privatekey, if not possible you are victim of phising . Are there any series of steps to identify if the project is fake or not? Do we have a checklist on how we can confirm if the project is going to be a fraud?

Review every project you want to participate if you want to join a good one. Check the team and feedback of the project by investors. Check the roadmap map of the project its better if they have already working product . Review background every team members past experience and think if they are qualified to make what they are promising to do. Why? There are more countries that really need financial assistance and China is not one of them. Yes, the outbreak is pretty big but considering it is in China financial is not an issue there surely the government can easily fund and handle this problem.
Indeed, they don't have any problems when it comes to financial conditions. Their government can spend the needed funds for the needs of its own people. China can handle this and there is no need for anyone to interfere with how they fight the coronavirus. I agree more of them can even manage to have a tour any where in the world . If you are sure Bitcoin will surge after the halving then you have at least two options : the first one is to hold your altcoin, cause eventhough you know the price (in BTC) will go down but you will eventually see the price goes up again. the second option is to sell your altcoin before it goes down deeper (because the halving) and then re-buy the dip.
the first option needs more patience and time, the second one probably better if you are now in profit.
There is possibility that you may earn much higher in altcoin than in btc the only problem is if the altcoin you hold will follow the thrend if the btc price goes up. For me my only suggestion is if you believe about the altcoin you hold that it will give profit then hold it and wait for the btc bull run and halving. If you affraid you cna sell atleast half of your holdings and convert it to btc in that case you will not risk all your money. |

In terms of use cases eth and xrp is better than other fork you listed but xrp is centralised , they are also following the movement of bitcoin BTW.
I refuse to accept your thoughts, these forks offer better performance in features, speed, fees and they implement few other things that bitcoin can never have so yes its true that these forks can do better, I'm not sure of BSV but the few ones OP mentioned are good I mean term of use cases, if its only in transaction speed then xrp is much better than fork listed there and for low transaction fee both eth and xrp have a low transaction fees. If thats the only fork of bitcoin can offer we have already in the market better than what they have. |

Yesterday someone I knew uninstalled his wallet from his android phone mistakenly and he told me to help him recover his wallet but guess what? he did not write out the wallet recovery phrase, the wallet consist of 640$ worth of bitcoin, he was broken, felt pity for him, how can someone not take recovery seed serious? that's what came out of my mouth, Really I felt pity for him because he went through a lot to gather that bitcoin, people need to start taking wallet keys or phrases very serious, newbies should please understand that without these keys you lose your money, time and energy
If its an android app its ok as long as you didn't uninstall the application you use or never reformat your phone it will not gone as long its continue running. But for real security of your asset you need to save all important things because its your money involve. |
