201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin could reach $1,000 in a couple of years from now on: December 18, 2019, 05:27:48 AM
How will the eth hardfork create a price breakout?  Altcoins are bought mainly against a bitcoin pair.  Same with eth.  If bitcoin goes down in fiat by a lot, you can rest assure eth will go down in terms of fiat pricing.  Point I was making was bitcoin at $1k or bitcoin at $100k usd makes a huge difference in whether litecoin or in that matter eth would ever move towards $1k
too far to predict prices that high. we can't see it if the state of bitcoin is still like this. Hardfork ethereum also I don't think will give growth to such a high market. if we have to look at LTC towards $ 1k maybe bitcoin will experience a very extraordinary increase.

The hardfork alone wont shoot the price up why would it.  If anything the price is already baked in just like a halving price bake in.  Too many people think these non significant events will just moon their coin they are holding.  Point is they will only go if bitcoin goes.
Important thing is the growth tied with bitcoin. If bitcoin goes up the growth of litecoin will happen, as mentioned halving alone doesn't take the market of litecoin high. The reality is being experienced. Lot of users staked litecoin considering the growth of litecoin based on halving. We'll experience $1000 per litecoin, but this isn't very near as there is no big market pumping with bitcoin.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 18-year old boy became Millionare from Bitcoin on: December 18, 2019, 03:22:38 AM
He believed and he made himself a millionaire out of bitcoin. Everyone can't be the same, also I don't agree with the statement if you can't be a millionaire by the next ten years it is your fault. There are lot of people who have been working hard for more than ten years with perfect plans but unable to achieve what they desired. Here to we need luck or the fate to be a millionaire.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to introduce crypto currency to newbies on: December 17, 2019, 11:15:45 PM
Give some basic information, in specific it is good to provide the newbies with some link and sources to learn. From that itself we can conclude whether the particular person is interested in knowing about cryptocurrency or not. If he/she is interested after learning will come back to us. By now I'll start to explain with the wallets and its virtual availability.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much ticket you have till now ? - stake xmas raffle - on: December 17, 2019, 10:36:56 PM
Good to have such a raffle, but the high rollers and the one with huge wallet balance will get to have large number of tickets. This means one with large fund will have the increased chance of winning. Anyhow this is gonna make few gamblers Christmas Celebration more enjoyable. Also from the quote it seems like only VIP gamblers can take part in this contest. Believe other casinos too have more christmas surprises.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin becoming a safehaven currency in Argentina on: December 17, 2019, 09:45:37 PM
It's proven that bitcoin really a safe haven against hyperinflation or failure governance.
A government that cannot maintain economic and political stability in the country is the one responsible for every loss and misery experienced by the community, hence people will choose to get the best way to overcome hardship including using cyptocurrency.
This isn't happening with Argentina alone, going through most of the countries facing hyperinflation I believe people from Zimbabwe, Venezuela prefer cryptocurrency to be a safehaven for their hard earned wealth. As days pass the value keeps declining, but with cryptocurrency even after fall there is possible chances of growth. This makes people prefer cryptocurrency as safehaven than more strong fiat of other countries.
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on? on: December 17, 2019, 09:03:37 PM
It isn't new. Haven't we seen this scenario last year? The moment we are expecting the bullish market, the opposite thing happens. It's easy to see a pump and dump but we can always dance with the market, considering every dump and pump an opportunity to buy and gain benefits. Don't worry, this bear market I think is the preparation for the big pump next year.
I think he was confused about why prices rose and fell so quickly, whereas he was quite difficult to draw conclusions about whether we would end up on bears or bull markets. I also think that this happens often, and it is normal. however, we don't know whether the price of bitcoin will actually reach the bull run as we predicted or vice versa. however, the rapid rise and decrease that occur are due to the needs of each trader. all you need to do is enjoy and take advantage of every moment of fluctuation that occurs, that's what makes crypto special.
But we can have foresight on what will happen if we will use technical analysis. Before we trade, identify first what is the current trend. The preferable trend in terms of trading is uptrend because in uptrend the price is keep increasing because the buyers are in control. Right now the sellers are in control where we can observe that the price of bitcoin is having a hard time to breakout due to sellers pressure.

Bearish market got the influence of many sellers, and due to strong resistance, the current situation kepts on erradicating so harsh and bloody. Last early morning, upon looking unto my blockfolio it shocked me while looking on the red indicator of the chart which made me feel uncomfortable. There's nothing we can do but wait for any further recovery, and expect the market to be stable again after all.
I believe it is because of the coming holidays that's why almost everyone is cashing out that makes the market bloody red. Above all that it is also a good chance to buy because most crypto today in the market cap is cheap and is a good time to reinvest.

This can be a reason, but most of the time there used to be good growth by the end of the year. Holidays around connected with Xmas and New Year celebration too looks like a reason for the ongoing market crash that has gone down to the support level of $7000. If there isn't growth reaching $8000 by the end we may need to wait for months to experience next bull trend.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it good to talk about big gains? on: December 17, 2019, 08:21:45 PM
i talk only to those i really trusted ,those people that i treat as family .because i know they wont let me down.
and they may also help me to have idea how can i protect my winnings.

When something out of the ordinary and not everyday happens to us, it is very important to have someone you trust and can help you.
But you also have to be 100% sure they won't tell others.
It is common with human to express success and failure. When these emotions were kept within thyself it won't let the mind to be free or think free. I always prefer to express big gains along with the big losses, because when I express about win it'll give others that gambling is a way to earn big in a short term. By the time if I express about losses they'll understand the risk of losing.
208  Economy / Economics / Re: Greeks face heavy fines if they don't spend 30% of their income electronically on: December 14, 2019, 07:01:19 PM
Is this a joke? How can the government force something like this, when the people are already paying the income tax over their salaries? The tax rates in Greece remains one of the highest in the world, and now the government want to take away a part of the remainder as well. This will never be implemented successfully, and people will find loopholes to get around the system.
Governments should not force people to go completely on electronical spending. If the government is implementing it for the goodness of the public then they should've made the people understand it and further implement it. What's been done by Greece looks like a decision that is taken in a short without proper analysis and understanding about the mind of the citizens regarding the new adoption.
209  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should we focus this year? on: December 13, 2019, 11:28:25 PM
In my opinion,  I think we should focus on accumulating bitcoin and Alts. Because next year seem to be well for cryptocurrency.
Almost any and every people that I have asked about this they think cryptocurrency would be great next year, it is not a big deal where everything could turn up not like what you have been expected so far, if you cannot make the big impact then just do the small one instead of just wishing without doing nothing.
There is big expectations, but everything won't happen in reality. Something will happen good, for the same we need to focus on just adding as much cryptocurrencies to the portfolio. This will make the portfolio go strong when there is big growth. My suggestion is to make use of the fluctuation until there happens some growth in large scale with the difference of $1000+
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to bet in sports? on: December 13, 2019, 05:22:09 PM
One option is to play one bet on low odds and if it wins then do it again with all in,
Not a good idea to put all-in in favorites to expect profit. Even chances are high that we might win taking that bet, it's more painful to lose in a low odds compare to high odds. That bet needs a deep analysis since as mentioned above, upset really happens in sports.
This is a good strategy (or at least the half part of it) but only if its live bets where the match already started. Look for good teams who can hold their lead comfortably with low odds then roll it on another live match. For the all in part of the strategy I agree never put everything a single bet because it usually lose no matter how good the bet is.
Agreed, it is not with investment alone even with gambling diversified pattern helps in making big wins than losses. If not at least can get back the capital. As in the quote rather than choosing a low odd and losing it is good to go with higher odds. In such scenario it is possible to eliminate loss if both the teams are almost equal in their performance and possible only with live betting.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to prepare for long term HODL on: December 13, 2019, 02:32:32 PM
Preparing for long term hold is simple as saving in a piggy bank. Whenever there is price dumping need to invest and just leave it. What needs to be done is just watch the market movements. When we have invested on multiple assets automatically there will be difference of growth taking place with time. Here when the targeted growth is achieved need to take the profit leaving the capital. This will assure profit in the short or in the long term.
212  Other / Off-topic / Re: Twitter CEO and pro-Bitcoiner Jack Dorsey strikes again! on: December 13, 2019, 01:08:32 PM
There is more possible ways to make the social media platform integrated with the blockchain technology, but going completely decentralized is little confusing. Already weve got steemit which functions over the blockchain. As an user mentioned such a level of advancement (decentralized social media) will be first adopted by the persons posting child porn.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 13, 2019, 12:44:40 PM
I hope south African cricket board will realize the importance of skills not the skin color matters while they were represnting for a country's sport. Then only they can aim for a world cup trophy which is about to happen on March 2023.

I don't really think that Cricket South Africa cares much about winning tournaments. Some 50-60 good players have migrated to other countries during the past 10-15 years, and CSA have never tried to bring them back. Even many of the existing players (such as AB de Villiers) were forced to retire early, after they caught up in the team politics.
This isn't happening only with South Africa. There'll be politics in each and every country's cricket board. In countries like India there is politics, but they create reasons and give retirement ans at times keeps players on rest. From India we can see large number of players getting their names on teams like UAE, Malaysia, Singapore and so on. One such player of India making big records from another country is Muthiah Muralidaran.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The best website to convert usd tether to makerdao dai or sai stablecoins? on: December 13, 2019, 01:30:30 AM
someone know the best website to convert usd tether to makerdao dai or sai stablecoins? with low or lowest fee to pay for convert usdt tether to dai , and that not need kyc verification
Seems like Hitbtc have the trading pair you are looking for but I won't really suggest that exchange because it has lot of unresolved scam accusation.Better convert using other trading pair then goes into coinbase which is more trusted compared to others.
Just because it has got unsolved scam issues it can't be mentioned as a reason for avoid using it for the trading needs. I've been using Hitbtc for a long, and now using through the beta version of their application. I haven't encountered any problem using them. Also it has got large number of trading pairs. Sometimes the trade takes time for execution which is purely based on the liquidity. If you can do KYC then it can be used.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to gift Bitcoin this Christmas (+cool Bitcoin gift ideas) on: December 12, 2019, 03:29:45 PM
Once I planned to gift bitcoin to my friend on his wedding. Later due to some sort of technical issue I wasn't able to gift it. Myself planned to carve the Barcode of the wallet as a keychain. Now more websites have begun to do the gifting as a service. Probably by 2020 christmas gifting bitcoin or gifting with bitcoin will be made much easier.
216  Economy / Speculation / Re: The 2020 Next Bitcoin Halving vs The 2016 One on: December 12, 2019, 11:23:06 AM
of course all bitcoin holders certainly hope that bitcoin can pump after halving in 2020 like 2016 yesterday. if we look at the price of bitcoin it always increases after halving. but I don't think anyone can guarantee whether bitcoin will increase like 2017. Because the current condition of the crypto market with 2016 is different yesterday. but I also hope that in 2021 bitcoin can reach $ 20,000 again.
With reference to the year 2016 we can't expect the same pattern of growth to happen this time. There was growth in 2016, and the perfect growth happened by the year 2017. By then there isn't big growth as predicted, following is the market movement of altcoins. Now more speculations were happening relative to halving, and we can know the reality only when the respective time is reached.
217  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Taxation on: December 12, 2019, 10:16:28 AM
Currently, governments can only tax cryptocurrency exchanges and users in those trading networks. Apart from the exchanges they manage, there's no other way to collect taxes. If they want to collect taxes on Crypto users, they need more specific and complete rules
Governments will continue to study cryptocurrency and establish new rules in order to tax cryptocurrencies and we won’t go anywhere. In general, taxes will need to be paid so that the cryptocurrency is not outlawed by them. Of course, as always, whenever possible, we will avoid paying such taxes. So it was and so, perhaps, will be in the future. Any state has the right to establish taxes on any type of activity of citizens that brings them income. All the reasoning that this does not concern them does not make sense.

That is why if a country implements cryptocurrency is not illegal because they have already taken tax from the exchange, for example in my country now every cryptocurrency / commodity / forex, will be charged expensive fees if they want to establish a company.

The point is that the government does not want to take risks and does not want to make efforts to take care of cryptocurrency, they throw all it's affairs into the exchange.

That is so unfair, the money in crypto is the citizen's hard work and yet the government will just get taxes out of it. That's so irritating, I hope they consider first the crypto as money before they do that.  They just get it from exchange and that's so disturbing.

One day, crypto will just become a normal currency that many will use. Exchange also should be tax-free and let the people or citizen cash out their money without deduction.
Taxation is followed everywhere, maybe very few countries were free from taxation. Governments tax depending on the economic condition and the need in advancement. In most of the cases the economy completely depends upon the return got as taxes from its citizens. To make this taxation fair what's been got as tax needs to be used for the goodness of the citizens. Very few countries does it effectively. When we doesn't want to pay taxes we can't expect benefits from the governments.
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Atm on: December 12, 2019, 09:54:04 AM
Crypto currency is known to be a digital currency, a lot of us have suggested that there should be a crypto ATM to ease and hasten the use and general acceptability crypto. But if there be an ATM would it not make it Fiat again and would it still maintain the digital currency value?

I thought there were already Bitcoin ATM’s in some locations. The great thing about these is that it gives people an easy way to buy a little bit of Bitcoin easily. Many people do not know how to obtain Bitcoins so this brings it to the masses.
Buying of bitcoin out of ATM's weren't that simple, it seems to have complex process. Buying out of exchange costs less compared to the cryptocurrency Atm where the transaction fee is quite high. Globally we've large number of cryptocurrency ATM supporting different cryptocurrencies but those haven't got used much. On account of the same more ATM's were taken back by the firms that installed it.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: A Planet-to-Planet Electronic Cash System on: December 12, 2019, 09:33:09 AM
For me it looks like a news which doesn't have anything true, because I don't see this to be a official statement or article out from the authority. Also NASA or other space research organizations won't involve into this activities until it gets a legal support. Right now I don't think governments have given such a level of legal rights to research with bitcoin nodes.
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you learn as a gambler? on: December 12, 2019, 08:42:46 AM
You probably heard the negative sides of gambling, some people who dont gamble has this bad impression towards it and we cant blame them for thinking that way because of the bad affect of gambling to a person who dont have control and let himself became addicted.

Now what did you realize or learn as a gambler (regardless if you became an addicted or not) that you can share to others?

As a former addicted gambler I realized that gambling is not the answer if you're desperate to grow your money and should not be our last resort in times like this because there's other way that can be the solution to our problem when it comes to money.
This is the common learning that each and every gambler learn at the end of experiencing a massive loss. Myself too lost big, and has learned to keep myself within control. Personally I developed control and learned to take breaks between gambling which will help in overcoming loss. When I chase losses I go uncontrolled and loss my funds, ans taking a break and making my mind makes me avoid unwanted losses.
