Primecoin is doing the litecoin!

Whoa Whoa whoa. What if... WHAT IF... Primecoin is the new Litecoin? Duuude.

I just mined a block with the HP4 client a few minutes ago.

To everyone who mocked me for buying it. I made a KILLING using this rack server to mine primecoins since the second it was released. Now that's some great timing. Cheers.

Here is a picture I recently took of my Nikon D3100 using the camera & lens for sale here. As you can see - Superb quality. Price of the D70 body With Accessories lowered to $150. Price of lens lowered to $30.

How do we know the hp4 binaries aren't shunting blocks to mikaelh2 and that's why almost no one is getting anything?
I have been consistently getting 1 block a day. Did you compile the code yourself or take the posted binaries? I was running HP3 binaries on Windows server 2008. (i5 performance computer)

Someone's running a botnet.

Same here. Although are you sure that's right? 1 block is worth 5 bucks right now. My rig draws 200~ watts when mining. I estimate that's just a couple of cents in power.

God. Does nobody understand how solo mining works?
He said yes.
Of course it's luck. It's completely random.

Quite a few people have posted now saying that they seem to find blocks in quick succession. I've noticed the same thing, but even to the point where different VPS's (same provider) have all found blocks within a minute of each other but nothing for hours either side. In the last 4 hours I found 9 blocks all at the same time across 6 VPS's (around 30 mins ago), and then nothing for the 3 hours before that. I have seen the same kind of patterns over the last few days too (though no normally 9 at the same time!). Has anyone got any theories as to why this might be?
I have seen exactly this once one block was found, on one instance....then a whole load more were found quickly by that isnatnce another that found none never found any I think findinf say 12 blocks with one instance an zero with an identical instance is very unlikely..... somethings going on... I have a few theories and one is really out there.... Knew it. Bitcoin overall is too revolutionary to be created by humans. Why is it that nobody knows WHO actually made it? HMMM?

no, he's 42, and in his mother's basement. probably.

So I'm getting 1700 primes/sec. How often should I expect to find a block? (According to your experience) 35.000 pps get me one block the last 20 hours, you do the math Get out bro. I mined 3 blocks in the past 48 hours on 3800 pps. To the guy asking the question. I expect you to find at least four blocks weekly. Not sure though. I haven't got enough data to do probability maths.

Me and my friend both found another block last night. Again, both of us have a single computer of i5 performance running the miner. How about you guys?
About 100 in the last 24 hours, but I'm guessing you didn't want to hear that. If it's any consolation the rate has dropped off dramatically and I'm now getting less than 2/hour with the same hardware. In another 12 hours it will no longer be profitable to mine using those VPS's without a big jump in miner performance (I'm looking at you mikaelh ) Botnets don't count.

You guys need lectures in probability math. It doesn't work like that.

One machine (a rack server). It draws 200 watts when mining. (I tested) Took less than 24 hours of mining to get that far. I estimate the electricity it drew when doing this costed about 5 cents, although I'm not paying electricity because it's included in rent anyways.

We'll have to wait for him to re-upload.

Try changing the engine clocks around. For me, 1050 worked better than 1200 or 1000.

I haven't received it either, and I'm sure everyone has repeated the resolution to his problem over and over. I suspect this guy was faking a reward, but if he's legit, I'll divide the LTC between all the people who posted LTC addresses above me.
