I like using the cryptopia platform. It is very user-friendly. And I have no problem with their services. Highly recommendable!

I just did my first YouTube video - I did up a quick guide on how to backup your wallet, and your Private Keys. In case you're not doing this already, start doing it now. Better safe than sorry! Here is the link - feel free to share/follow. A very useful tutorial bro! I would just like to add this information to your video. If ever some of you guys encounter a "code-13" error when getting your private key to your address, this is a fix to that error message. Do the following steps: 1. Go to settings and unlock your wallet. 2. Remove that "check symbol" in the box labeled "For staking only". 3. Go back to debug console and type again "dumpprivkey <DeepOnionaddress>". >>>You can now see your private key for your address, 4. Copy and paste it to notepad, save it and put it in a folder together with your wallet.dat backup. Put it a flashdrive or any safe storage you got.

You guys are fun to mess around with, which is good today, the blades and belt on my mower decided to die simultaneously, so I have a little extra time. Lauda, you seem to be sticking to two main points, which is good. 1. You call the developer shady, and accuse them of trust farming. - OK, let's take a look at that. Crypto-rainbow is their front person on this forum, and that is who you are referencing, correct me if I am wrong. Ok, now, provided I am not wrong, they had, until you, negged their trust rating, a neutral rating. You negged their neutral rating over your belief that DeepONION is a scam. They mentioned this occurring in the ANN for DeepONION and what could be done to correct that. They have not bribed / offered / or compensated anyone for their actions. I think if a forum member is still using the default trust table, they will still show a negative rating on Crypto- rainbow. Personally, if I am going to trust farm, I'm going to be more pro-active about it. 2. You claim to have debunked a fallacy that the "airdrop" is not truly an "airdrop". - Well, I bet you could have guessed this, but I have an opinion on that too, lol. I may debunk that the sky is blue by calling it cerulean. That does not make it any less blue or any more cerulean. That just points out the subjectivity of the person viewing the sky. On definitions, of words / phrases like airdrop, etc. in the cryptocurrency environment, generally speaking, the accepted definition is the one in most use and that is usually the one in first use. If we accept that is usually the case, then derivatives of those new terms / phrases are acceptable in conversation. Like in the '80s, when "bad" was actually meant to be "good". Perhaps you would have liked it more if DeepONION claimed, "Free Modified AirDrop with Forum-Wide Signature Campaign", but that is, though accurate, a little long. Ok, now, I have addressed what seems to be the two main points that you have linked in previous posts with me. I'm fairly certain, though I am biased towards my own opinion, that I have been truthful in my observations and accurate in my analysis. Moving away from your points, it seems, from your history here, that you have been successful, kudos to you on that. It also seems that you aren't on the staff of this forum any longer, due to some alleged misconduct and that resulted in a call from some members to have you removed. I did say alleged and for all I know it could all be heresay. I am giving you the benefit of a doubt there. I don't know the inner workings of all the forums in's and out's, but, I'm working off an assumption, that "Lauda" was placed on the default trust table in conjunction with, or maybe even as a result of you being a staff member. "Lauda" is no longer a staff member, then why did they remain on the default trust list where with the click of a mouse, they can single-handedly alter the regular forum members view of another member? Point of information on that, if you type ~Lauda into your trust settings box, and remove the default trust there, then magically crypto-rainbow no longer has a negative trust. I'm pretty cynical about currencies, I think that since the loss of the gold-standard, the US Dollar is a scam in a way, depends on how you define scam. So, you may be right, and if it's proven so, then I'll publicly state that, and all who care can see the statement I made. The longer I live the more mistakes I will make, can't avoid that and might as well admit them. It is your choice if you wish to do the same, and if you don't think that is fair, I am sure you will let me know *edited because of my terrible formatting* **I see in your last post that you have chosen to use ad-hominem attacks in place of serious reasonable debate. You did this when you tried to impugn my intelligence. There is an old saying that when one side stoops to ad-hominem attacks, they've lost, because they have nothing left.*** I agree with you Erelas. There are just people who attack and accused others of misdeeds. But I can see it very clear. These people are doing the very thing or similar, what they accuse others of.

hi to all. EMB looks very interesting. What's the maximum supply for EmberCoin? I think current supply > maximum supply said by dev. Okay Thanks. I guess I will have to search for it from the op. anyway, i have another question. How much is the recommended block amount for staking EmberCoin?
|
|
|
Yes I also see genesis website displays blank. No content. Another hacking happened? We better check their twitter updates.

We got 2 days more to go before we get the 5th airdrop. Just a reminder for everyone to check their status if they can participate for this round, you can check from here: https://deeponion.org/check_status.php?

I know this is a newbie question but I would like to ask what to do if you've currently just ranked up in Bitcointalk. Do I need to change my signature and reapply again or I just need to change my signature then I am good go to ?
No and Yes. No, you need not reapply bro. Once is enough as long as you use the same wallet address. Yes, you need to change your signature updated to latest one according to your BCT rank. Then also, don't forget to replace the refid XXXXX in the signature template, with your BCT userid.

Hi. I can join the bounty program with the address in cryptopia
Perhaps you mean the address you can have from NovaExchange? However, you still do not qualify for applying in the airdrops because you joined BCT on a date after July 12, 2017.

We temporarily suspend the wallet updating function from the application page. Wallet Updates will be handled manually if your wallet is lost, stolen or you have other reasons that you need to update your registered wallet address. We will support Factor_core group in the 5th airdrop. We announced this a while ago. But did not have enough time to activate in the last airdrop. It's basically to give more ONIONs to those who significantly contributed to the expansion of this community. This group is determined by the dev team, and all members can suggest new people to dev team based on their observations. This group will be adjusted by dev team before each airdrop. Update your signatures if you did not and add your ref?=userid tagsIt is mandatory to use the new signature in order to receive the airdrop. You can see in this URL: https://deeponion.org/view_signatures.php Thank you for this information dev. I have already updated my signature.

Can anyone confirm if v1.1.2.2-gd0cbc83 is the most recent wallet version?
Looks like i need to change the version numbers, will add that to the list for next release. Newest version has front logo, blockbrowser, new checkpoint, some other fixes, and built in nodes. The old version is still 100% compatible. I'm excited for this new wallet. When will this be released, MrEggman?

a question i have 15k condensate Rain how long should it take to get stakes? i have the wallet over 1 week running and got nothing i need to buy more? thanks
RAIN noob here... I just put 10k in a wallet about 6 hours ago, and it says my 10k are immature. When does this staking begin? Just wait for it to fully mature. You will earn staking reward soon.

Hard to mine with pos with the airdrop coins but I gaim weight and if network weight lowers fat stakes will flew into my wallet.
Yes. We just have to gain weight and when it is enough, we can gain little onions as staking rewards

Nice to have these informations. Always good to learn more about deeponion and rhe background. Hope to see more statements like that.
I know, right? Isn't it nice to have some facts? That is exactly why I started my service. Yet, I haven't seen a single bit from anyone It is confusing...On one hand, people love the information, but on the other, they always want it for free. I have other write-ups on other cryptocurrencies, and have begun to interrogate other developers to build attention. You can check a few of them I made public (to prove it's not some bullshit pay-and-run scheme) in my signature, at the end of the thread. I accept any crypto. I spend hours a day looking at source and looking at projects to write about, yet no one thinks this is worth anything. Anyway, enough ranting DeepOnion looks solid to me :thumbs-up: It's great to see there is someone like you. You help make cryptocurrencies such as DeepOnion more transparent and gain the trust it deserves. Thank you.

crypto-rainbow, please acknowledge. I will try this again - maybe some members of the community can answer some questions. Hello everyone, Just some simple questions: 1. Is DeepOnion based off of another coin codebase? 2. If it is, which commit? 3. So DeepOnion nodes operator over Tor. Doesn't this mean IPs are somewhat visible, since we are connecting to each other, rather than a service? 4. So wouldn't it be possible to know who is running DeepOnion nodes via peerlist? Or is every DeepOnion node a hidden service? 5. Is there legitimate proof or way to prove no premining has occurred? 6. When was this coin actually started? It was released in July (12th-ish) but I would like to know when it actually began development. 7. Does DeepOnion support re-producible builds? If I build DeepOnion from source, will the binary be 1-for-1 with what you have released (considering I build from the same release version, of course). 8. Why create DeepOnion, instead of setting up a Bitcoin node behind Tor? The rest of my research I will conduct by looking at the source on GitHub. Thank you very much and I will post back when I'm done If you want to see other research I've done check out the link in my signature - thanks! Personally I would like some DeepOnion, as it seems there is some real use for the technology. Keep up the work! I can skip all the way down to number five. Nearly the entire coin was pre-mined. Quoting directly from the OP - "The best part is that we DO NOT do ICOs or crowdfunding. 90% of total coins are premined at genesis block. The remaining 10% will be mineable by the public. Most premined coins will be freely airdropped to the community through many rounds of airdrops (detailed herein). Certain conditional requirements apply, please read on for details. Genesis block, premined coins, breakdown; 70% will be air-dropped to the community, while 20% will be used for bounties, rewards and other promotions. Remaining 10% will belong to the dev team." 1. Is DeepOnion based off of another coin codebase? >> The codebase of DeepOnion is from the tor integration coins such as KoreCoin/BitcoinPlus and others (there are a few variations of that). 2. If it is, which commit? >> There's no commit from any other coin. All coins are open source. We maintain our own codebase. In fact our codebase are different from any existing coins (not only on parameters, evidently, there are a lot of details, like separation of PoW/PoS etc.). We will release other nice features and services in the future. 3. So DeepOnion nodes operator over Tor. Doesn't this mean IPs are somewhat visible, since we are connecting to each other, rather than a service? >> No. You access Tor network through edge nodes, not through each other's nodes. This allow us a network level protection for our users. 4. So wouldn't it be possible to know who is running DeepOnion nodes via peerlist? Or is every DeepOnion node a hidden service? >> Please read Tor introductions. The edge nodes are known, not inside though. 5. Is there legitimate proof or way to prove no premining has occurred? >> There is premine, and it is stated very clearly in OP, for the purpose, distribution etc. We maintain the logs at this URL: https://deeponion.org/report.php?date=2017-08-11Different airdrop days can be chosen from the link above. We will release more stats in the future. 6. When was this coin actually started? It was released in July (12th-ish) but I would like to know when it actually began development. >> The development started a few months earlier by the dev team. Initial idea came about 3 years ago. 7. Does DeepOnion support re-producible builds? If I build DeepOnion from source, will the binary be 1-for-1 with what you have released (considering I build from the same release version, of course). >> Of course, it is open source. Many people built their own client. We support open source and we believe the privacy is a fundamental human right! 8. Why create DeepOnion, instead of setting up a Bitcoin node behind Tor? >> Bitcoin is a big community, its development is slow and has many limitations (the recent Aug 1 event is just an example). We create DeepOnion to explore different path to build a secure and untraceable coin. There are many techniques where bitcoin is just too big to explore. Direct point by point answer. I hope those in doubt will now understand more. Since it is very clear now, guys you are welcome to join us. Download a wallet and install it, and Click my signature and apply for airdrop now.
