1041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Biggest Misconception About Cryptocurrency on: August 14, 2017, 05:34:09 AM
Cryptocurrencies will be here to stay, it's just the beginning. We don't know when it is going to be obsolete technology. In a hundred years, if this world will survive, though there would be upgrades, some cryptocurrencies we have today will be still in use.
1042  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Attorney Will Answer All Questions: on: August 14, 2017, 05:26:19 AM
If one earns bitcoin f.e. via signature campaign, when should he pay tax? At the moment he cashed in Bitcoin or when he cashes out to fiat? In Japan its clear, he should pay taxes for the date, he earned the BTC, but other countries f.e. in Europe or USA ?
Many thanks for your awesome thread.

I am not a tax expert but I do understand how confusing taxation is for Crypto-Currencies. There are 2 different taxes. Income tax and capital gains tax.

Income, to the best of my understanding, happens when you turn BTC, into fiat. It is considered income for that year and claimed in that year as part of your entire income, for income tax return purposes.

Capital gains is a bit more complicated. It has to do with the gains you have made on investments. This type of tax is one of the most disliked. It's basically the difference between what you bought an asset for and what you sold it for.

The calculating of capital gains in the crypto-world can be quite complicated. If you buy a coin  and it increases or decreases in price, did you keep track of the price you bought it at and the price you sold it at? Is your trading platform tracking that? Then you use that coin and buy a different coin, then you sell that and buy another coin and so on and so forth; then you add some more funding to the account at the trading platform; are you tracking the added funding separately? Then you continue buying and selling the same coins which are all then grouped together in their own trading platform wallets. You get the drift.

A C.P.A. will understand these things and be able to answer more specifically.

I hope that helps.

It's really a difficult issue about bitcoin and taxation on it.
Thanks for your explanation.
I will keep following your thread because it is very informative.
1043  Local / Pamilihan / Re: BITCOIN SHOP SA PILIPINAS on: August 14, 2017, 05:18:24 AM
At it's current price range, mahirap gawin na pambayad sa shopping dito sa Pilipinas ang bitcoin.
In just a matter of minutes, bigla kasing may big difference sa exchange rate against the peso o usd.
Now kung tatanggapin ng shops ang bitcoin, these shops will have to exchange it into peso kasi in peso or dollar sila nagbabayad sa kanilang suppliers.
Kung mga supplier lang sana ay tumatanggap din ng bitcoin, it would be perfect sana.
What makes matters worse is yung transaction confirmation time is masyadong mabagal.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL BE THE TOP 3 COINS THIS YEAR? on: August 14, 2017, 04:14:41 AM
Bitcoin will still be #1.
Now #2 and #3, are somewhat question marks.
There might be surprises coming later this year or early next year.
NEO and ONION might be the surprises I'm talking about.

Coz you see, when someone mess with DeepOnion, that someone messes with the whole community. Some people cannot just accept the fact that some project is just better than other projects. That's why they try to shill, spread FUD.

No. They've got different devs. Though they both do sprout/stake, they are different coins and having no close relations.

Lauda,
You hating something of no value to you as shitcoins to you does, makes you the very thing how you described it to be.
You see, you are what you hate. Don't you know that?
If you think we be thinking like 5 year olds, maybe you just saw someone staring back at a mirror instead.
Hahaha I laugh at you.
Coz you are one dude so laughable.
You're making a joke of yourself.
Realize that what I say.

That's why I love RAIN  Grin
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR Integrated ⚡ No ICO 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 5th of 40 Rounds on: August 14, 2017, 02:18:54 AM
I just received a fraction of a coin for keeping it open, and staking - but now when looking it states I am not staking because I have no mature coins. I tried restarting it, but its the same.

Am I missing something?

Yes my onions did not mature until about the second day then they did start growing... i mean staking. Smiley

Edit
Just found this on our site from a member groko "they drop in and out over time, sit tight and a portion will drop into stake.."

Also I think the more onions you have the better the stake..

My issue is that I was staking, got rewarded that fraction, and it was that small piece that's disabled staking?
Don't worry mate. It will stake again. It needs to mature again after you got that fraction of staking reward. It's just like it's recycling again for maturity. Just wait fot it to mature again. No worries Smiley

Well I Got  Question ... Why was this coin named DeepOnion ?? Any specific reason behind choosing this name ??
I think it has something to do with protection. Just like a physical spice, onion have many layers, layers that disturbes the eyes to tears when they try to dissect or peel the layers. Those layers are protection that makes you anonymous if you compare it to the digital world. Your real ip will not be displayed when somebody tries to look for it.

1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much do POS coins have to worry about history key attacks? on: August 13, 2017, 11:33:40 PM
Which PoS coin(s) have been victimized by history key attacks? can you give example of any coin that suffered this kind of attack?
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR Integrated ⚡ No ICO 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 5th of 40 Rounds on: August 13, 2017, 05:19:57 PM
Am I risking my airdrop eligibility if I transfer Onion bought on exchanges into my airdrop wallet?
It should not be a risk.
But for you to be sure of no risk, create a new address within your wallet.
On that new address you send the ONIONs you bought from NovaExchange.
Label your new address with any label you want.
And also label your airdrop address with just "airdrop" so that you will not get mistaken and interchange with the 2 addresses within your wallet now.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: August 13, 2017, 05:00:42 PM
Lauda, why so much hatred against ONION?
I hate all shitcoins.

Are you paid to hate DeepOnion?
Are you mentally degenerate?

Or is ONION a threat to your particular coin?
What coin, Bitcoin? This crap is a threat to nothing and nobody.

It's either you don't get it or you just simply refuse to understand it. Whatever.
False dilemma. Everything about this coin is fake. "100% anonymous", "airdrop", etc. Roll Eyes

But your actions against DeepOnion is an attack, a personal attack against all people in the DO community.
No. Objective assessment of yet another shitcoin.

You're hatred is your character. You hate yourself.
I'm mentally degenerate? You can see yourself by what you see in me.
Is everything really fake? You have no solid proof, all are just your confused assumptions.
Objective assessment? No. You are biased against alts you believe to be shitcoins.

Whatever coin you are involved with, it doesn't matter to us.
If you hate our coin, then don't bother us at all.
Don't bother us with all your tantrums.
Anyway, you don't deserved to be affected this much by this "shitcoin".
So just stay put there, relax, and mind your own.
Life is too short to be hating most things, even the intangible things.

Since morning, I've got successive staking rewards today.
I'm just very thankful to dev team, also the community for all efforts to make ONION a great coin we can all be proud of.
