The idea of the quote button remaining active is to be able to copy quotes from any post at any time.

I had the idea that information would emerge that the topic was closed. But it seems that there is no such message after all.  Undecided

Probably not just to copy the quote as I think but also to reveal the raw link if the thread contains some source links and edited on the URL.
Active quote button is most likely being used to copy the post in a thread that is locked. I also done the same where I am quoting the post and share it to where I am joining in discussions. If I haven't see the color difference between the quote then I wouldn't have known that it has different colors when it is locked and open topics. What you explained is also what people do to check if there are urls or not but as I have said, it is mostly for quoting posts for reference to different topics through using quote.

Hit a really sweet number.

Sadly didn’t manage to get it at exactly 10000.

Either way, congratulations on reaching the 10k group.  Wink

Now it's heading towards 20k.  Tongue

BTW, future requests like this should go in the dedicated topic. (I mean, this one was difficult for me to miss, because it had my name in the title, but, I do tend to skim read a lot of topics because of all the disingenuous/quota-filling posts that people tend to make; if you want to guarantee that I'll carefully read/consider a suggestion, then the best place to leave it is in the aforementioned thread.)
I was not aware of the topic until now. From now anything that bothers me related to the platform I will drop it there.

[...]then toggle "Show/Hide" on the example post you used, everything works the way I/you remember it working: without a scrollbar).[...]
How it's possible? I am not using any extension.

My second wish is, can the quote button be disabled?
That's an odd request. I mean, the quote button only appears after you've clicked "Show/Hide" on the post in question. So... just don't do that. Tongue
Just noticed. I had to toggle it again to understand what you wrote there. I feel like there are a lot of things I still need to know about the feature of the forum or they are not as they were before and I need more time to familiar myself with all these new things LOL

But this scroll bar is interesting, am I the only one? If so then there is something with my browser.

But I must have color recognizing issue. I see both buttons have same color and I can not identify which one is gray and the other one blue.
It's barely noticeable, especially on a screen of lower quality. Pay attention to the text in the "Quote" button. It's blue in open topics, grey in closed topics. The outside border of the button is blue in open threads but grey in closed ones. I also notice a slight bluish filling in the buttons in open threads.

Grey on top, Blue at the bottom. Do you see it?

My point of view: Ignoring edge cases like the topic becoming locked while you were already browsing it, I struggle to see how someone could miss both the padlock icon before entering the topic, and the gray-instead-of-blue quote button with the "Inspect message" tooltip (and the "Inspect message" page title, and the notice that theymos added, too)... If you (the proverbial "you", not you specifically, obviously) often find yourself in a position where you've blown past all that, and end up confused, then I'll stop just shy of calling you an idiot, but, chances are good that you should do some introspection around your posting habits, because being blissfully unaware of whether or not a given topic has run its course is something I can only imagine repeatedly happening to someone that posts a lot of donkey twaddle.
I noticed the tooltip now, I did not know it was even existed before reading you LOL

But I must have color recognizing issue. I see both buttons have same color and I can not identify which one is gray and the other one blue.

That's really strange, because apparently I and everyone else have had no problems accessing the forum via Tor since the attack stopped.
Just to add as another testimony - I too haven't had any kind of blockages nor problems accessing the forum via Tor today. I in fact open multiple pages that I had saved regarding bitcointalk (10+) and not even in one of them did I had any kind of prompt to tell if I was a robot or not.

Usually when I had those problems I did what ranochigo suggested - especially new circuit - and it would clear, but I reckon that it may not always work.

The reason is so simple. Corruption. Some people work in the customs office who offer faster clearance and ask for money. I said the sender paid all the necessary fees, so I will wait. They asked for over $100 to release a package worth 86 euros or something. Corruption is a major problem in 3rd world countries. I am not saying this is the case with Agbe as well. But I am just saying that these things happen mostly in 3rd world countries.
As far as I'm aware, 1Dq didn't had to pay anything more other than the original shipping quotation. I had close contact with him during the entire process, so I suspect that the package just took an abnormal amount of time considering the final destination (which I knew would take some time, I just wasn't aware that it could take THAT amount of time).
RickDeckard and 1Dq
That is correct, nice eyes!

Can you explain in a little more detail how to see through which CF servers the traffic goes - and are there any settings that @AB de Royse777 can try to overcome the problem?
You should be able to see the alt-svc header in the get request for the initial load of Bitcointalk.org. This should be automatic and I'm not aware of any settings that can overwrite this. If you're consistently encountering that CAPTCHA challenge, then I'm inclined to think that it would be some other issues. Without knowing how exactly it is setup, I'm afraid I can't provide much inputs over here.

Clearing cache, refreshing circuit and changing the security level are things that I would recommend trying.
