I am asking a simple question as I see many topics dedicated to ranking up or suggesting ways.

From my thoughts as a newbie, I wanted to rank up because I wasn't wasted and neither I believe that I cannot get into the rank that I am in as a Hero member. It was a tough journey & had a lot of adventures! It is a cycle that everyone here who joined after merit system went through.

I saw here, how high-ranking members would be the first to get included in the best signature campaigns. I would feel frustrated as a newbie as I felt irrelevant and ignored as my rank was not that good so was my reputation.

I then realized earning was not that a big problem as bounties were a big thing in my time. Even after working for bounties, getting ranked up was a big challenge, so I started focusing on my skills. I am not a developer, still I made it with my skills of writing.

This is almost everyone's first step in the forum, we all come to learn here, but when we see other ranks making money through signature campaigns, we then decide to make more effort to rank up, and ranking up is possible if you will be dedicated and write important threads that will be beneficial to other forum members, as well as by asking good questions that will benefit a lot of newbies and also by interacting with others towards sharing a better idea that will solve problems in the forum.

Quote
Ultimately, I would like to say to everyone new to the forum. Believe in yourself and believe in what you can achieve. In some time you will see yourself where I am.
Believing in yourself is good and it helps you in the forum to rank up fast, and when you learn from your mistakes and improve yourself in good condition.

Some newbies are desperate to rank up, and as a result of that, they make silly errors, which include plagiarism, that will affect their accounts in the forum.
With time and dedication, everything will be possible if you give your time to learning in this forum.

I was first introduced to gambling being part of a gambling signature campaign. I loved it and decided to learn how gambling works in cryptocurrency. Lost a little amount while learning then decided to venture into sports betting.

I am making a decent extra earning with sports betting and now I have been working on trading. Life doesn't give you success on a plate and that is how my trading part is working for me.

Ultimately, I would like to say to everyone new to the forum. Believe in yourself and believe in what you can achieve. In some time you will see yourself where I am.
someone like me that hasn't earned a single merit yet truly has a long way to go and looking at the number of merit you've accumulated so far, it almost seems like an impossible hight to reach as a member of this forum. But this is a motivation I have to hold on to in knowing that once upon a time, you where once like me and maybe didn't know most things like myself and that you've grown to this hight only means that if I put in the discipline and dedication, I will also grow past this level in the form.

Aprt from deciding to learn and grow gradually, are there special things that you did differently from others that might have started this journey with you at the time you joined the forum but couldn't continue up till now? Growing up to 800 merit isn't a small feet and obviously didn't come from mere learning about gambling and other crypto related things, can you advice me on how to patiently grow from being a mere newbie to become an higher rank member?

Secondly, I have the intention of consolidating all my UTXO's to a single one in my wallet. Normally, I send them to my second wallet to consolidate it and pay a fee in the process. Is it possible to merge them all into a single UTXO in the same wallet?.
Yes you can merge it all into a single utxo using a single transaction  and not by just merging it directly in the same address..
I get what you  are trying to ask here , it's just this same way you are sending  to the other wallet I.e you spend all your UTXO in a single transaction  to a new wallet(lets say you did this while the mempoolis less congested)... if the other wallet is an electrum or uses the number of your total   inputs for calculation of fee then you've just saved yourself    some change from consolidation.
However instead of using a new wallet, You can just use a new address (since electrum supports multiple address), in the process of consolidation fee is calculated the same way you spend your  UTXO  to another wallet [ @ hosseinimr93 did mention that]... so you will have to pay even if the transaction is within wallet. After you're  done with the consolidation  you should have a new INPUT in a different address within the same wallet.
Note: the idea of consolidation is generally for when the mempool is less congested
Also, you can choose to receive UTXO in a new address every time you receive, with that you  won't need to worry about consolidation but if you need to spend more the you will have to do it using a multiple transaction each from one address

OP your aspiration should be an almost same goal of everyone who are craving to rank up. Perhaps there had been multiple newbies whom had curiously been complaining on how they do not receive merits on their posts even when they are doing there best.

So stay quite long in the forum and contributing to your best when merits is not flowing to rank you to the next level and you have attained a long margin of post actually feels like.... You think you are doing things at your best but it all feels rubbish.

It actually feels discouraging and most especially when you see your mayes ranking and you are just stagnant. So it is kinda challenging and mentally draining when you have been here for long and activities like signature campaigns would be opened for a specific rank but you can not participate simply because your rank is not up to it.

So, we all want to rank up so that we can not be restricted from the forums activities by which some are attractively rewarded by either by honorary recognitions or some sort of leadership positions in the forum.

That's inspiring.

The problem is, that most newbies don't understand that it's a steady process and it needs to be taken that way. You can't join the forum, start making posts, and see yourself going up in the ranks immediately. Even to become a good enough poster to start getting merits, you need some time and that time must be put into learning how things work and what should and shouldn't be done in the forum.

Not being able to make constructive and quality posts and then getting frustrated and angry for not getting merits is not the way to do it. When you want to achieve something, you will need to put in some effort for it, and if you are not putting in any effort, you can't blame anyone but yourself for not reaching the destination you wish to reach.

I have see many opportunity when you buy bitcoin in a low price during the bear season and hold.
But you quit your job in a bull market, not bear market. 2024 is not a year of bearish market but bullish market indeed. If you want to see bear market, you will need to wait for 2025, 2026, next two years.

If you think of buying and holding, consider DCA strategy next two years.

El Salvador and MicroStrategy use DCA strategy for their investment in Bitcoin and succeed, see their Investment ROIs.

I quite the Job because the manager of the company, don't allow workers to have access to their phone through out the day, but you can have access to your phone during the closing hours, and the issues is affecting me not to get in touch with my family and other things which was the reason I stopped the job to learn other things that will add more value to my life, but am still looking for a better job that will allow me to have access to do other things, and since I stopped the work I have learned so many things about bitcoin, which I have see many opportunity when you buy bitcoin in a low price during the bear season and hold.

In fact, if you want to learn Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, you don't need to leave work. You even have enough free time to read information on forums during your breaks or holidays.
I think you quit your job because of your discomfort with the pressure. Now that you are in the forum, maybe you have read some information regarding rules and also general knowledge regarding Bitcoin. Maybe you have found other interests such as Bitcoin investment or trading. or you can get other interests, keep looking for information in the forum.

I'm new here, someone brief me about this bitcointalk.org some years ago but I never show any interest, base on the nature of my job because they don't allow us to have access to our phone for security reasons in the company but I have quite the Job for some reason best know to me, am fully ready to learn bitcoin and cryptocurrency, and rules and conditions that governed the forum. Hope am in the right discussion section to create this topic? or someone can help me move it to the right discussion section, am happy to be here lovers of bitcoin.

Welcome to the forum.

As a start, read this: Newbies - Read before posting

After that, you should keep reading the pinned posts in each section you visit because they contain the necessary information about the section and the forum as well. Make sure you read more and post less as a newbie when you are not yet knowledgeable enough because that wouldn't look good. Post only when you need to. After some time, you will get to know almost everything around the forum, and if you are an attentive reader and have a good understanding, you will understand everything about the industry as well.

I wish you good luck.
