I'm thinking about picking a few up, and I remember that they can only get really good efficiency when hooked up to a lower voltage power source.
Does anyone sell conversion kits (that accept 12v and put out 9v with minimal efficiency loss) or special PSUs for these miners?
Thanks everyone, and have a fun-tastic weekend.
Here is the relevant thread;
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1151460.300RichBC ended up using two (something like)4.5to7v adjustable PSU in parallel to PSU to get the desired voltage range, that is probably the cheapest more efficient way. I guess buck converter works too and could be cheaper and it is also discussed there, but those don't usually have a turn pot to adjust the voltage exactly to what you want.
