Bitcoin is the parent of all altcoins, the price of bitcoin is very influential on all cryptocurrencies, but for now I prefer Ethereum because with ethereum I can trade with various tokens I have, besides that the number of tokens that only accept ethereum is certainly a consideration that ethereum is brighter in the future.

choosing bitcoin or ethereum is not a problem, maybe you need to know how much your money first so you can decide what to choose. but I think it is better to choose bitcoin than ethereum because bitcoin can give a big return in a long time although ethereum can give you the same profit, the amount will bigger bitcoin than ethereum. or you can buy both bitcoin and ethereum too and I think this option is good for you especially if you have a big money so you can get double profit in a long time.

The tech that Ethereum has is nothing compared to a few other altcoins that are worth way less. If we are comparing only BTC and ETH, though, I'd recommend Bitcoin just because it's the thing that everyone in real life knows about. If I tell someone that I have "Crypto," they have no idea what I'm talking about. If I say that I have "bitcoin," they immediately understand.
