First time I hear of Falun Gong, just did a quick Wikipedia search and to be honest it doesn't seem like anything fundamentally bad or evil. In any case I wouldn't blame the founder for anything his disciples do, he may not be innocent but he can't bear responsibility for the actions of other people. It doesn't matter how charismatic the person/guru/teacher you look up to is, if you kill yourself or kill others because of his teachings, you are still 100% responsible for your actions.

First off, you can't really force anybody to commit suicide, it's something people do by and for themselves. Secondly, your body is the only thing that truly belongs to you, you're not born with anything else, if for any reason you don't want to live anymore, you can choose to end your life. You have to remember here that killing oneself is not that simple, for the vast majority of people, committing suicide is unthinkable and undoable, something they couldn't bring themselves to do it in a million years. Whether it's right or wrong is not for anyone to judge because you're not the person committing the act.
