It will be very hard for many people to hold their bitcoins till it reaches the price of $10k and very few people would be having that high level of patience to hold their bitcoin that long as many people will sell their coins when it will hit $5k in coming months.
It will be hard for those that do not have the patience to wait for it, but there are many early adopters that got bitcoin for free or for a few dollars that are still holding despite the fact that they are already millionaires, they know that bitcoin still has a lot of room to grow.
