Hold until its $10,000

When we look into past tables, bitcoin kept raising for years by just small dumps. So holding into $10.000 is pretty much realistic to me. I even think that its price will touch $50.000 in not so distant future.

I have read many forecast why bitcoin may reach $10,000 before the end of 2018. If you have good risk capital now is the best time to buy and hold for long time! I do believe then that many people will still be regretting why they did not buying bitcoin in 2017 when in January bitcoin's price was below a thousand dollars($1000). With the current upward movement I think that forecast is already in sight.

If we compare previous periods, we can assume that the price will rise to such heights. But you can not be completely sure of this. Crypto currency is very unpredictable.
I put some of the coins for storage for the future and even if the price is 5000 I will stay with a big profit

Holding is a good idea. but between current price and 10k, there will be lots of ups and downs. It will be a waste if you don't grab those opportunities. Hold some, trade some. That will give you more bitcoin in the end.

I am holding it tight since it was 800$ .Now it crosses 3000$ . It is getting bigger and bigger. $10,000 is huge, maybe achievable though.

Wow, good for you mate. I think you are now getting closer to be a rich guy now  . Well Segwit just lock-in and I think there will be another run on the market. Still enough bulls out there who are willing to test the bitcoin ecosystem and see where it will drove them. Maybe at the end of the year $10000 is achievable and even more. But right now, we need to past the $4000 barrier and test if you can get it through. It won't be easy I think, but if there are enough investors willing to throw their cash into the ecosystem, then everything is up in the open. $10000 could easily touch by then. Just continue to hold and not sell it until we get to $10000.

I was imagining, takes time how long the bitcoin price will until on $10k, 1 more year or will it be more than 2 years to arrive at that value and whether the value now will can survive until the next few days?

I am also agree with you that bitcoin hit to 10000$ it will take to more time I mean its price will not take a week or in few months hit to 10,000$ yes! it take more two years to arrive at that price. So I suggest that not sell their bitcoin immediately when after two years its price touch to 10,000 when you sell it to fair price.

We're about to hit 4k dollars in 2017. So why some people think 10k dollars is not good to go. If we keep doing like this, bitcoin is likely to hit 10k dollars near 2019 or 2020.

10k is a possibility but at the same time this year has been very good for bitcoin and I’m the kind of person that always is thinking about what could go wrong and I think the hard fork planned for November by the miners may be what could stop bitcoin and its meteoric rise for some time.

It will be very hard for many people to hold their bitcoins till it reaches the price of $10k and very few people would be having that high level of patience to hold their bitcoin that long as many people will sell their coins when it will hit $5k in coming months.

According to analysis by Dennis Porto, a bitcoin investor and Harvard academic, bitcoin’s price could hit $100,000 per coin if it continues to follow one of tech’s “golden rules” — Moore’s law.

The rule, which was devised in 1965 by Intel cofounder Gordon Moore, describes the exponential improvements of digital technology.

Yes, price increase with bitcoin is quiet promising. Hope this will continue for a longer time period. Every year by the end price increase happens, so the ongoing increase will lead to the next pumping that is expected by the end days. So rather than decline a gradual increase has got more probabilities.

Year-to-year bitcoin has increased by a total of close to 300%. That is quite amazing and I don't know if there are other markets that have experienced this kind of run. So we should be it really for the long haul in this market. If indeed we see $10000 in the future, we could definitely on the road to become millionaires ourselves.

Good luck for that dude, $10,000 is too much but who knows ? Maybe you are right and in 5 years the bitcoins price will reach $10,000. In my opinion $10,000 is possible but it will takes a long long time to reach that, maybe 10 years ? 20 years ? even reach $5,000 is still hard nowdays.

According to that analysis, there is a trader or group of traders that have been trying to manipulate the market lately, Mtgox style. It is also possible that it is being done be Bitfinex management themselves.

I wouldn't trust that site. Zerohedge is more on a gold side. Just a few articles that they mentioned bitcoin in a positive way. They just took noticed when bitcoin is down and say a lot of negatives about it. If this is true then we can't do anything about it because trading platforms are unregulated. And we already knew that there are really big entities behind trying to manipulate price since the beginning. Chinese trading platform has been caught already by PBoC that's why sanctions and tighter regulations has been put to check them.

Definitely we can see more Bitcoins in circulation. Exchanges, Bittrex for example now have few times bigger volume of trade. Something is happening right now and this is probably raising of awareness. People coming, fresh money coming to crypto and this is good. There might be a something that only Bitcoin can purchase within the near future. Holding Bitcoin could also allow people to get a bunch of money if the coin goes up to a million dollars or so.

I am not really holding Bitcoin for its value in terms of currency because the price of it is not stable enough to rely on.

It would be pretty cool to see a single Bitcoin being able to pay for a single roundtrip ticket to the moon or something like that, it might not happen though I just thought that it would be pretty neat.

How many small units of BTC i have lost gambling, now they do not look so small..And now when you have chance and you see what potential BTC has, do not sell, buy and hold. And do not fall on FUD stories BTC like we have about another disastrous fork that coming.

Do not blame yourself for having sold whatever number of coins below the $500 level, because as you said, you needed that money. Even when you didn't need that money, you possibly might have cashed out some of the profits you made back then. It doesn't really matter at what levels we are moving - people will always cash out profits, spend their coins, etc. The only thing you MUST blame yourself for, is that you lost coins with something so pathetic as gambling. Gambling is a straight losing game, especially long term wise. Some times I see people brag about the profits they made with gambling, but these delusional beings don't tell you how much they have lost before that, and that whatever they win, it can't make up for the heavy losses they suffered in the years before that.

People should not regret that you have sold your bitcoins. You should always know that bitcoin is the only crypto currency is not created for investment. Bitcoin exists to buy and sell goods. Don't give up and you will earn more coins.
