Hi

i heard about a software wallet of IOTA which is provided by IOTA Foundation. This or last year several holder of IOTAs lost their whole funds. THeir was a system issue or similar. I heard about that the Ledger Nano S will maybe support IOta. but is there already more info about it and do you know some alternatives?
And what about the software wallet which i mentioned. Is it save now?
thanks

Hello right now I would recommend you to keep IOTA in the exchange and use 2 factor authentication...The stable software wallet should be ready soon, TREZOR is already working on IOTA implementation (have seen it in the YouTube video), have no info about Ledger.

IOTA: VHS, Byteball: Betamax.

Iota centralised
Byteball  decentralised

iota distribution - tiny narrow distribution and lead to collusion and easy to hype price and volume
byteball distribution - wide and given mostly to competing projects - totally foolish and price being crushed because of this mistake.

eventually winner will be byteball

just takes time.... like removing the coordinator on iota ... but not that long because it will never get removed because then it will get broken.

Ledger wallet is a multi currency wallet  and open-source which is safe if no human error of linking the wallet to harm substance online did not occur. However, you can use exchanges as peto9110 said but IOTA was supported by mininum exchange and remember you're not the holder private keys of very coins you keep on exchange site.

So, basically, IOTA is rising rapidly at the moment? There are so many information and rumors about this altcoin and its future.

Same here, IOTA support on the ledger would be very appreciated. In the meanwhile I don't know the best option (IOTA wallet or leaving it on the exchange with 2FA activated)

Good news is that an independent developer is working on an IOTA wallet for the Ledger Nano S, so IOTA will have hardware wallet support. Don't worry though, it is tested by IOTA and Ledger before going live! Cheesy
