Mooshire,

I actually just learned a couple new things about armory from your videos. It's great software but not newbie friendly.  Just sent a .5 btc tip to the address below the video on YouTube. If you add keywords "bitcoin armory" and "cold storage" to the video description you will get more views and hopefully more tips!

Thanks, these are some good videos.

Wow, thanks Cheesy

That would be great!
Have you considered working with the bitcoin education project? A video like that would fit perfectly in their courses:

https://www.udemy.com/bitcoin-or-how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-crypto/

http://btcedproject.org/

That would be great to get an Armory section added to these sites. Some video tutorials you can use will be available shortly Smiley

Mooshire just made three good videos for more advanced users.

I finished my basic tutorial! There's no information on cold wallets yet, but i covered the basic functions in about 2 minutes. The video is designed to be paused after each step and resumed once you have completed it. I used espeak for the voice to keep the speed consistent, and I put a transcription of the instructions in the description so people can use that if they prefer.

I'll post the YouTube link as soon as it's done processing (it's the same resolution as my monitor, so it's taking a while). Smiley

The upload's done! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0RKnPDaYl0 Smiley
My computer's been having issues with youtube lately, though, so I can't check the uploaded version for quality. it should be fine though.

.5 BTC has been sent.  I will look for the functions demo and cold storage walk though when you get to it. Off to sleep for me Smiley

I just watched the other video. I understand not wanting people to know what your voice sounds like, unless you have some kind of disability, but I feel it would be better to just use text on the screen.

Maybe, but I like having something to listen to when watching tutorial videos, so I don't have to keep the video open while I work on whatever it's about. This one might be a bit short for that though.

Also, I forgot that voice sounds robotic to people Tongue I listen to audiobooks made using espeak a lot, so I'm pretty used to the sound.

I've got a guide to setting up a cold storage wallet in my sig if I can submit that instead of a video.

Interesting stuff going on here...

.65 BTC for someone to make the instructions from cp1 into an useful Video Guide.   My IQ is just a little better than Forest Gump... and I am a visual learner.  If you are going to narrate the video please make the audio volume reasonable so I don't have max out the volume and strain to hear you.  If you have a computer talk for you do us all a favour and make it sound like a hot British chick.  If the two year old Tom Tom GPS in my Geo Metro can sound like that yall can come up with something!

Break Break

There are still 5 BTC up for grabs for someone to make a serious and professional looking video guide to Armory.  Come on BitcoinTalk land, there has got to be someone out there who will jump on this.

I just created a video based on my written instructions, so now you have both:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11VkYg-nhi4

Dude! Nice video! Forest Gump can understand this Smiley I actually tipped you twice, saw the youtube video first and tipped that address and just now logged and saw your post. Total of 1.15BTC. I hope to see more from you in the future, especially if the new version of Armory is ever released....

Have a great weekend.
