With sooooo many coins in the market and it being a more popular but just another ALT, in some cases, what do you think the long term will be? I believe most are geared towards the long-term profit of dogecoin but with such a long/high/maybe not possible, hill to climb in all aspects I found, which isn't much, what is the likelihood that dogecoin will be around and then will it ever make it profitable as an investor without daily trading?

Dogecoin will always exist as there is still a strong fan base for this coin. For me, DOGE is nothing more than a pump and dump coin. A couple of times in a year the coin gets pumped without real reason.

Dogecoin is I think it is a sleeping giant like the Litecoin. Can be stand up in the crowd in late. But, I think investment in this coin is very good as it is mineable it's demand and supply is intermittent. This is the fastest transfer mechanism of money than Bitcoin also. So, make the investment more.

Yes Dogecoin is developing and so far it is one of the alcoves that can be considered for investors. Of course, its development is much lower than that of the cryptographic market.

for this coin dogecoin does have a cheap price when compared to the other coins, but to benefit from this coin I think it takes quite a long time, because if I see this dogecoin price movement is very slow, if to trade in my opinion is not appropriate , but for us to make a long-term investment there may be less chance we will benefit from it.

Doge is not a long term play for me. It is only for the short term. Pick it during bag market conditions and sell it when people start trolling/hyping Doge on Twitter.

Dogecoin is crap, no one should buy this coin because it is a waste of time, and you can easily lose all your money if a big whale decides to sell all their coins, because it is useless, there is nothing good that it can offer to the entire community in here

More merchants accept doge than most other shitcoins.  That's because the network is never congested and fees are always low.  You can send pretty much any amount for 1 doge, and that's hella cheap.  Plus the community is a relatively strong and positive one, which is more than you can say for a lot of the shitcoins.  I don't think doge is necessarily a bad coin but I would agree that it's not a great investment.  There are tons of other coins that will outperform doge in the long OR short term.  But as far as a good crypto for commerce...doge ain't that bad.

with so many coins emerging from the altcoin pool that are not just some payment gateway, I doubt it if Dogecoin will be around as a valuable coin as it has nothing to offer and currently not as popular as other first gen cryptos and with more coins coming into the market the gap of catching up is been widened rendering coins as doge to be worthless!

I think the future will not be very outstanding, as this is an ordinary coin without any special differences, there is almost no popularity, taak same almost no one even pay attention to it.

Dogecoin had been famous for a long time. Its listed if not all exchangers but I think on most exchangers. Some people even mine it on their mobiles on its small value hoping that it will rise soon. With long waiting seems nothing changes. Its difficult to guess the future of Dogecoin.

I do not think dogecoin had a good future. This coin has no prospects for development. Even its creator is surprised by the price and size of the community that dogecoin has achieved. I think, soon it will start to change to the disadvantage of dogecoin.

Yeah i agree, In that it will always exist owing to its uniqueness as one the first few cryptos/ fanbase and memeablity. From a practical point of view though it has no value and is just a pump and dump coin. If you check the github its long been abandoned, and there is no development.

However another pioint of view is that it can be seen a good benchmark when analyzing if the crypto market is overvalued or not.  In hindsight during the december run dodge went to  a 2 billion marketcap. This should have been the biggest sell signal for an overheated market

Till now there is no specific growth and development happening in dogecoin and the community is not showing any interest towards the dogecoin. Even the price of doge coin is kept declining in the market because of its total supply.

There was no update from the developer because the developer of the doge coin has stated to retire from developing the doge coin. This coin has no future the only possible thing to make this coin will be alive again through the offchain development of the dogecoin itself. Remember the developer is not seriously creating this coin for a purpose.

Last updates in the Github repository were commited around 5 months ago, but these were only simple config changes. The last major updates are longer ago then 3 years by now.
