Well, that is strange. If they do own BitcoinCharts, then yes, there is a problem... Undecided

BA Computer Science, University of Oxford
Dissertation was about threat modelling on distributed ledgers.

Interesting.

Is Kalyhost MtGox's hosting company?

Maybe if you buy a domain through them and have the privacy feature, it comes up with that info.

So now that MtGox owns bitcoincharts, they purposedly removed their greatest competitor (bitstamp) from the list.

I'm glad they are showing their real face (unless this is some technical malfunction of course).

Is this  also only some technical malfunction? From mtgox, or bitcoinity.org? Or  intentionally done by mtgox, to disturb trading bots and scalpers etc?

It seem more and more likely that they are bunch of manipulative motherfuckers.

Somebody prove me wrong please.

I asked clarkmoody.com if he has same issues. I am not sure about  bitcoinity, coz he had this issue for long time!

EDIT: As you can see in clarks post in thread link above. "Clark: When Gox detects a crossed book, it halts trading and fixes the problem. So the answer is no."

Perhaps someone placed an order for Bitcoins using a higher price than the lowest ask to buy into the asks but limit the maximum price they pay.

I do this all the time. If the sites API requested the details at exactly the time the order was being processed it's possible data like this would show up.

If you ever go to cryptsy which has a truly slow trading engine you can see the same thing happen in real time if you buy out a bunch of coins from the asks. It stays like this until all transactions are processed and things catch up. It does look a little odd though.

From a programming point of view this explains the situation completely.

Thanks a lot for this explanation! Could you imagine Buttercoin could solve this problem?

That would explain why it's offline now.

It's run by Nils Schneider, user tcatm on this forum. Many of the bitcoin domains were taken by satoshi, and then put into the hands of various administrators.
